Regginas in Eastleigh

I can only give this restaurant 5 stars. Had dinner there last Saturday night. I started with muscles in a delicious soup and then lobster tagliatelle. The portions were generous, beautifully presented and excellent quality. The staff were friendly, attentive but not intrusive, the staff worked their socks off. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lively but not noisy. We had a really lovely evening and can't wait to book again.

Great find restaurant in Botley near Southampton. When on a Monday evening after being recommended by Hotel . Really good food very reasonable price for the Quality . Friendly service and when we were unable to get a Taxi the owner took us back to our Hotel about 10 minutes away . Fantastic restaurant.

Extortionate! Poor service. My family went there for a birthday celebration , pre booked. Waited for a long time for anyone to take our order, then over an hour for our first course! These were nice but quite expensive. Mains were not far behind, we chose not to have a dessert as we’d have been eating at around 10pm! The mains were ok, I’ve had better, to be honest. Portions quite small and again, the service not great. 3 of the party got their main , the rest had to wait, then the accompanying veg, also took a while, therefore the main “event” was no longer hot! There was a bottle water on the table, we were also given a second, totally shocked to find out we were charged nearly £10 for these!! So beware when asking or drinking the bottled water! There was also quite a high service charge.! However we were offered a complimentary drink for the delay. Nice touch but didn’t really cut it! We most definitely will not be returning.

What a delightful little find. Traditional Italian restaurant. Settling is fabulous and the food was delicious. Friendly staff and chef. Will definitely be planning another visit soon.

Really please we made the 1.5 mile walk from our hotel to Regginas. Lovely welcome and despite the restaurant being very busy with some large tables the service and food was great. Good selection of specials, that we chose and extensive wine list. Will be back if in the area.

Really nice experience, excellent food choice, my wife is vegetarian and was well catered for with a great choice. Staff were attentive and friendly, will certainly be back...

Place and service were spot on. The food was a bit of a hit and miss. I had tempura vegetables and seafood risotto, both delicious, especially the vegetables. But my husband did not enjoy his steak, and our friends pork was pink. They were both ill that night. Our other friend enjoyed his food. Shame

A delightful meal very tasty and well cooked. The service was also excellent We would highly recommend and will be going back. Busy for a Monday night.

Do not have to wait long for your meal Stakes are over priced most other meals and drinks are reasonable I would go again 👍

The restaurant is lovely inside, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. A great selection of wines and the starters, main course and desert were all perfect. I would highly recommend! Good vegetarian options.

Upon arrival, a waitress greeted us with minimal enthusiasm and I was personally quite put off straight away. This attitude perpetuated throughout the evening, with this one waitress in particular, but the others seemed quite blunt as well. I got the feeling maybe there was a toxic atmosphere, but I digress. At one point I moved my chair slightly as the setting sun was right in my face. As soon as I’d moved, the waitress with an attitude told me to move back in order to allow a table of two, that were due to arrive, more room. I was nowhere near them and it would have been fine. I explained to the waitress that I’d moved due to the glare and she completely ignored me and turned away. But alas, I moved a bit and had the sun in my eyes again. Service felt laboured throughout the night to the point that I wanted dessert but told my guests I wanted to leave due to the poor service. The waitress with an attitude came over to ask if we wanted any dessert and we said “no thank you” and then I added “can we have the bill” but was ignored yet again and she turned away. Only to then begrudgingly turn back so I could finish. The food was very nice but I was extremely disappointed with the service and have no intentions of going back.

The food was lovely .nice dining room plenty of space. Sad the waiter obviously got out of the unhappy side of the bed today although was pleasant enough.

This was our first visit to Regginas and defiantly wont be our last, our food was beautify prepared and the service was impeccable.

First time visiting and it was amazing!! Hugo was our waiter and his customer service was super. The food was full of flavour and a great selection of choice. We can't wait to return.

Great food. We enjoyed our starters, mains, and the Tiramasu was delicious! Excellent service from friendly and helpful waitress. There is parking onsite but we parked around the corner (3 hours free).

Where do you start. From the moment you enter you can tell it is a special place. The food quality and choice is to the highest standard and the service is up there with the very best. The knowledge and friendliness of all the staff led by Josh shows that this restaurant really cares about its customers. First class. Best restaurant around. Highly recommend

I have been here several times, fantastic place to eat.

Cold welcome, booked table not ready, servers not engaged, very functional, although I had put on notes that it was my wife's birthday zero acknowledgement. Food was good standard however overall experience was disappointing and cannot recommend.

My friend and I had lunch. We were treated very well, and nothing was too much trouble. My friend has celiac, and she had gluten free pasta and she had the roulade for dessert. It got quite busy, so the atmosphere was lovely with diners enjoying their lunch. The only down side, is that the ladies loos are up stairs. I will be recommending Reginnas to my friends.

Had a lovely lunch (Monday lunchtime) with friends to celebrate a birthday. Only two other diners eating, so it was like a private dining experience. Waiter was very attentive, but not annoyingly so. Gave us enough time to eat and chat, without long waits or rushing us out! Food was lovely too. Friends that had pasta were full, but managed deserts. Friend whose birthday it was had her desert arrive with a candle in it. Nice touch and unexpected!!!

The lovely wife and I ate here for the first time and loved every bite of our meal. Will return we have no doubts

Lovely restaurant, with great food and wonderful staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Without being asked or prompted, they worked out it was my birthday, so when it was time to bring out my banoffee pie, they'd put a little candle on it. So sweet. Attentive without being intrusive. The food was beautiful- full on flavour and great presentation. Definitely returning :) Thank you! Xx

As a gen z’er I wasn’t sure if I was too young for this place but I surprisingly loved the atmosphere and felt super relaxed. Me and my boyfriend both said it was the best date night we’d had in a while! Unlike when in chain restaurants we didn’t pick up our phones, we just enjoyed each others company! I didnt drink but the wine selection looked great. We had bread to start and then a carbonara and meat al forno. Both were deliciousssssssss! 5 stars! I also had a tiramisu and my only criticism would be that it was too much cream not enough sponge but maybe that’s my personal opinion:) The guy who served us was lovely & very knowledgeable! I think this will be our new favourite spot!

Amazing for birthday parties of any and any parties like engagement etc. Amazing place to be on NYE staff are great, especially the owner she goes beyond and above to make sure 5 have an Unforgettable time whether is lunch or dinner time. All staff will make your day or evening whichever the occasion a memorable event that you will not forget and will always keep going back year after year. Have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years and each time it was an amazing time and memories made with my family and friends that I will never forget. Fantastic local restaurant with fabulous quality food in substantial portions.

Not a particularly Italian menu of atmosphere, more of a high end gastro pub feel. The food was exceptional though. I had Scottish mussels and a sticky glazed pork belly. Top class! Couldn’t fault a single thing and will definitely be back. Server was passionate about the food and had a really happy character about him. Perfect family run restaurant. Highly recommend!

Came here after friends reccomend. Lovely restaurant very clean and modern. Good was delicious, pizza was one of the best we have ever had. They do smaller portions for children would definitely come back

We absolutely love Regginas! This restaurant has been our favourite restaurant to go to for years. Food is incredible, the ‘specials’ are amazing and the service is always first class. If you are lucky to go to one of the gala nights then do! Live music, great atmosphere ‘Rachael Hawnt’ is brilliant! We love this venue so much we were lucky enough to host our engagement party on the terrace, a few weeks back and Reggina and the team accommodated us and our guests amazingly and the night was perfect! Having not been to regginas for a few years I habe to say we were very impressed with everything from service to food quality. A great menu choice. Highly recommend a visit.

Was good. All in all 5 stars. But I would just say that I had the calamari and it wasn't all that warm to be honest. Was tasty but needs to be served hot. Had a pork chop special. The pork chop was very thin. Not much meat on it. Don't get me wrong, was tasty, but for £24 I expect a good slab of meat. Staff were amazing. Very attentive and served with a smile. What annoyed me slightly was I had to keep passing things to the waiter. I was sat up against a wall and they kept asking me to pass the unused cutlery to them. Was a little annoying as I was in conversation each time. Never mind. Would come back, lovely setting on the back terrace and had a nice atmosphere to it.

A gem of a restaurant in Botley. Great food and great wine selection. They also offer a decent gluten free selection although strangely the steaks weren’t offered gluten free?

A rare night out at a nice restaurant. The food was lovely, but the drinks were a bit pricey. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the staff would have got 5 stars too, but unfortunately the evening was slightly marred, by a waitress who as we were leaving, virtually accused us of not paying. We had already paid her colleague. Her manner was very rude. Maybe a bit of training on how to politely ask a customer if they have already paid would be beneficial, rather than embarrassing them.

Wir waren hier am Samstag abend und hatten Glück, den letztn Tisch zu erhalten. Deshalb unbedingt vorher anrufen und einen Tisch im Obergeschoss reservieren. Sehr gutes italienisches Essen. Wir hatten Past und Fischgerichte, die alle hausgemacht und frisch waren. Preis-/ Leistung ist o.k, das Personal sehr freundlich. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder gehen.

I came here on April 6th 2019 with my Boyfriend, as we were staying at a nearby hotel for his Birthday. After being let down by the Pub we had planned to go to and then missing the last train to Southampton Central, Regginas was our saviour. We accidentally discovered this little restaurant in a small, nearby village and it was beautiful. We arrived at a busy time with no booking, yet the waitress at the door told us not to worry and that she would sort us a table. We were shown to the lovely little bar and we got some drinks whilst we sat for a very short and understandable wait. We then were seated and offered another drink and a garlic bread starter which they put extra cheese on for us. It was the best cheesy garlic bread I've ever had! Then my boyfriend asked if one of the sharers could be served as a main, and they told us absolutely. Our meals were delicious and the puddings were even better. We got a toffee cheesecake and a banoffee pie to share. The banoffee pie was absolute heaven! We were served by a young waiter named Josh who was lovely! He was very enthusiastic and bright, attending to all of our needs and kindly asking the kitchen about my vegetarian requests. He was lovely and continually checked up on us, as well as profusely apologising when one of the puddings we ordered had run out, which we didn't mind at all. It was a shame when we wanted to tip him at the end, but couldn't find him anywhere, so my boyfriend left a tip for him with another waitress. I hope it found its way to him. :)The only downfall was that the vegetarian choices were limited. Other than that - lovely place and I am really hoping to return with my boyfriend for another special occasion. Thank you to all of the lovely staff for the excellent service and food!

We' ve been before, so when deciding where to go for a Birthday Sunday lunch it was a no brainer, Regginas was first choice! The service is very caring and attentive to every detail. The Sunday roast is exceptional value and to die for taste. Always there to help ensure you have a memorable experience!!

The standard was high. The staff were helpful and very efficient. The specials on the board were clearly explained if you asked for details. There was a good ambience, so our group had a most enjoyable evening.

My husband and I had a fantastic meal here tonight. I have to eat gluten free and there were so many options. Gluten free pasta, pizza, risottos and meats. All sauces are made fresh so can be gluten free. I was very excited to be able to order a bread starter - gluten free garlic pizza! They make their own gf pizza bases, so much better than chain restaurants! I then ordered pan fried cod which was so delicious and great portion sizes. Couldn’t fault anything this evening. A must visit restaurant!

Have visited before with family but this is first review.Service is excellent. Today we had the Sunday Menu which was far more than just roasts. Our table had roast beef roast and I had Fish Pie. Lovely food really enjoyable and plenty of vegetables. Roast gravy wonderful. Best fish pie I've eaten.Sweets chosen Banofi Pie and Tiramisu both delicious. Thoroughly recommended. Need to book it's always busy

This was our second visit to Reggina’s & we thoroughly enjoyed it again. The specials were explained in detail which was lovely as it gave more detail to what was on the board. I had the starter of smoked duck & orange salad, which was spectacular! They are brilliant at offering alternatives for my wheat allergy, apologising that if I wanted gluten free pasta they only had one kind! (Many places still don’t have a gluten free option in pasta) I could have had gluten free pizza, pasta & they were very aware of any other of their meals which did contain wheat. I was assured that their sauces weren’t thickened with flour, but were made from their own stocks & therefore reduced the correct way! (Good to know & a sign of a good quality restaurant.) One of the best things about the restaurant, other than the food is the Maitre d. He is very courteous, humorous, knowledgable & helpful - everything a good maitre d should be. Would very much recommend Reggina’s for a good quality meal . Not the cheapest, but then, you get what you pay for!

My friends and i just knew this restaurant from the web and we thought we want to try sth new...it really worth it

Went out for NYE to Regginas Restaurant for the first time. On arrival was asked to grab a drink in the bar and my girlfriend had a chance to explore the fantastic selection of cocktails this restaurant provides. After settling on a pint of Peroni for me and a ‘Falling In Love’ (Passionfruit Prosecco Cocktail) for my girlfriend, the lovely lady in the red dress behind the bar made them perfectly!! We were soon shown to our table upstairs and a young man brought us 2 amazing looking 4 Course Menus specially made for the evening. After pointing out my girlfriend was Vegan. The Gentleman serving us provided many alternatives to the menu which all sounded delicious! We were quick to order (although it was hard to decide it all sounded amazing) and our food began coming out quickly and was so exquisitely presented. For my meal I had a Prawn Cocktail Salad, Chicken & Chorizo Tortellini, Medallions of Beef and for dessert I finish with a Chocolate Tart. After all the food (and many more drinks) we proceeded to the Disco filled with an amazing atmosphere. At Midnight balloons rained down from the ceiling and everybody was dancing, hugging, and enjoying themselves! Left around 1:30am and will definately be coming back!!! A big Thank You truly to the whole team at Regginas Restaurant for allowing us to start the Year off in the most perfect way possible!!

We had yet another brilliant evening with Family and friends Celebrating New Years Eve 2018 at Reggina’s. A few of us are Vegetarians and we thought the food was excellent ..... We thoroughly enjoyed the disco and danced away after midnight Thank you all the staff

My family and I came for a meal this new years eve and we loved the whole experience. When we came in we were first shown to the upstairs bar for drinks before being seated at our table upstairs. The atmosphere was great and the restaurant was decorated beautifully for the occasion. Food wise, everything was delicious and served promptly- it was a four course set menu on NYE of which i had the soup, the ravioli, the salmon and the chocolate tart (which was the highlight for me!) After our meal we went to dance (there was a live DJ) and after a couple more drinks it was time for the countdown (which was a really lovely experience, the manager lead it and everyone was shouting and hugging after!) Met some lovely people and had a great time- overall a wonderful end to the year and i cant wait to go again for next year’s event!

I decided to book a gala evening for NYE as it was my Fiance’s birthday and I thought it would be a nice treat. We arrived and were shown to our table which was right outside the mens toilet. Not really a great start. We were told to grab a drink in the upstairs bar whilst things got underway so we did just that. All very casual and no waiter service at this point. One thing I noticed was the sheer amount of tables squashed in so that the owners can clearly maximise profit over guest comfort. We were constantly sat with people brushing past us, customers, waiting staff and it felt like we were at a busy train station. Once we finally got our food we were given the food of the table next to us ( which we didnt know until it was too late, the correct food was brought out after mentioning this and then one main meal was inedible.Unfortunatley it put a sour taste in our mouth and after mentioning this to the waiter he came back with the offer of a free drink. I was really disappointed after spending what I would class as an expensive amount of money to then find that i hadn’t had a main meal or been offered a suitable replacement was unbelievable.We left by 9:30pm and safe to say we wont be returning.As an aside note, it was very distracting seeing the older male clientele letching over the scantilly clad young girl dressed in a bright red mini dress who wouldnt of looked out of place on the set of Pretty Women. The young girl was serving drinks at the bar or running up and down the aisles with barely a piece of cloth covering her birthday suit. Quite an eye ful for the Men but not a great view if I’m honest. The management really need to address these matters and I do believe their reputation precedes itsellf.

We were pleased to book a meal at Reggina’s as we have not been before.

I visited Regginas for a meal with a friend one evening. We pre-booked & had a nice table in the window. The service was prompt & the staff very friendly. We had ciabatta to start with. I had the Bolognese & my friend had the Carbonara. Both were absolutely delicious, & the portions generous. We finished our meal quickly but were too full for dessert. However, we weren't rushed & were able to sit & chat while our food went down. I will definitely be returning.

Spent the evening here and found it to have good atmosphere. The menu is not huge but catered for everyone. Highly recommend the lasagne, it was delicious! The restaurant was very clean, modern and staff were very attentive. We'd definitely go again.

Came here for lunch after a long absence in August and really enjoyed the meal so, returned today and was just as impressed. Joe the host is very welcoming and added to the whole experience of good food and first class service. I ate off of the specials board and had the duck salad as a starter then the Brill as a main course. Both were delicious! We had been out the day before to a garden centre for lunch but the two course set lunch my husband had for £9.95 here was by far better quality and value.

As a family we enjoyed a fab lunch at the restaurant yesterday. The food is always good but yesterday it was outstanding. Moules to start and rib of beef for mains - sweets were none too bad either!

Have been to Regginas before a couple of times and , as always, the place was lively with a good atmosphere.

Came here to eat with my wife last weekend, and was very impressed with the quality of the food. I had the Wagu steak which was highly recommended by the owner who told the specials in a very impressive, passionate way. My wife had the mushroom risotto and enjoyed it thoroughly. We shared a bottle of house red that washed down the meals a treat, and we were then told about deserts by a young, attentive waitress with long brown hair. We chose the Brownie after such deliberation, and what a treat it was. This is our third visit to Regginas, and we have a stellar service everytime. The service really makes this restaurant, and we cant wait to return!

What a plesant surprise. We went here on the recommendation of friends and we weren't disappointed. Fantastic service and delicious food. The fact there was a small cocktail bar you could wait for your table was an added bonus. The only reason I am giving 4 stars rather than 5 was that the bar area was not table service and very busy and slow service therefore we had to queue and wait for some time before being served.

Despite having been recommended by a friend as a great Italian restaurant, we found that the food was disappointingly nothing like Italian food we had ever had before (and yes, we have visited Italy on several occasions). Everything was bland and overcooked - from the lamb medallions to the vegetables. The highlights of the night were a bottle of Portuguese wine and the lovely chocolate brownie. Oh, and the attentiveness of the staff. However, we found that the very enthusiastic young waitress who served us on the top floor, was a bit over-friendly (not too keen on being addressed as 'my lovelies' and 'you guys' so perhaps this needs toning down a little.

We ate at the restaurant on Saturday to celebrate a very successful year for our business. The food and the staff were excellent. We all had the main course special of wagyu beef which was superb. The only downsides were a) the long wait to get a drink at the bar when we arrived, as there was only one person serving and quite a queue of people and b) there was a party of six young females who had clearly been drinking before they arrived. Everyone in the restaurant could hear them as they were unacceptably raucous, even the staff were wincing at some of the screeches and cackling. They seemed oblivious to the presence of other diners there for a quiet meal.

We had a fabulous meal at Regginas in Botley on Friday. Lovely friendly atmosphere, and all the staff were happy, welcoming and attentive. Food was delicious (all 3 courses for both of us), and we would highly recommend this restaurant to all in the area. Thank you all!

My husband and I went to Regginas for a very welcome date night and were looking for some great food and great service; we weren’t disappointed. It was a lovely evening from start to finish. We started with a drink in the bar and then moved to our lovely corner table for a nice quiet (despite the restaurant being very busy it still felt intimate) meal together. What impressed me most was, firstly, the service (very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly staff) and, secondly, the vegetarian options, and willingness to be flexible. I had the vegetarian platter and the asparagus ravioli, which were both incredibly tasty, and different to the vegetarian options normally offered by unimaginative restaurants. I was also impressed that they offered to amend most of the pizzas and pastas to suit my diet. We finished with a lovely coffee and baileys; the perfect end to a perfect evening. Can’t wait to visit again.

I came in last Saturday with my mother and we had a lovely experience. We were immediately greeted and shown straight to our table upstairs where our friendly waiter (dark, curly hair) explained all the specials thoroughly. Service was efficient and enthusiastic. My lamb cutlets were delicious and my mother said her sea bass was very good. All in all great place to go.

So the positives would be that although we arrived approximately 15 mins early to our table booking we were shown to our table upstairs immediately by an extremely attentive waiter (chap with short blonde hair) who seated us and proceeded to inform us of the many additional "specials" to the menu choices … All good so far, also the waitress (young lady with long brown hair) who served our meals was equally energetic and attentive. Both were extremely apologetic when we gave our response (quietly) when asked by them as to our experience.

This highly recommended restaurant just doesn't live up to its reputation.
