Regginas in Eastleigh

Set of the menu what was £24,50 the charging £29 . If i am not telling them, they do not change it. For 2 Coca-Cola charges £9. I never come again in this restaurant

I was a little disappointed in my starter. He e the four stars for food. I had a dressed crab salad. IMO dressed crab comes in the shell and is served with the brown and white meat. This came in a mayonnaise like it had come out of a jar. My partner had fabulous goats cheeses. Our man is were delicious and I had the stuffed steak, oh my I have never tasted anything so delicious, my partner had the special which was hake. ( incidentally the specials are on a board) we were served by two lovely girls who were also looking after a party of 50. They kept smiling. The deserts were huge and tasty, the tiramisu was definitely home made and delicious as was the banoffee pie that I had. I would recommend this and definitely go again, just omit the crab salad next time.

We live in Essex and visit my mum who lives in Botley, we try to visit this restaurant when we’re down. We haven’t been here for a while so decided to visit and try out the restaurant again. It didn’t disappoint, the food was of good quality and the staff were friendly and helpful and not too intrusive, it’s got a lovely atmosphere and will definitely be coming back next time we’re in the area

On arrival, I waited till a waiter appeared, asked for my name, checked my reservation, and then left me standing there, stating someone else would be along in a minute. Eventually, a woman came to ask me again and seated us next to the men's toilets, despite the fact that the restaurant was half empty. We were two middle-aged women, apparently not significant enough to ask if they might take our coats, despite the fact that they offered it to every other client that arrived. The male waiter then returned and took our order. He was unpleasant, cold, and spoke to us like dirt. I found any engagement with him alarmingly uncomfortable. The main pasta dish was very nice, I couldn’t fault it, but nobody came to offer cheese or pepper etc. The tiramisu was bland and tasteless. It turned out to be an expensive, meal with horrible service. It’s a shame because had the experience been nicer, I would have returned for the pasta.

Right. Our first and last visit to this place. Upon arriving we was offered our table. It was a couple evening meal. We asked politely to change table to be next to a window. We was refused as they said NO as other customers was due and they were regulars there. IS OUR MONEY NOT THE SAME… would have rather been told that it was reserved. Also we may of turned out one day to be regulars ourselves. Oh well. Then the waiter gave the mrs a dirty look and raised eyes when she politely asked for no sauce on her order. Ran into the kitchen and shouted there must be garlic oil to give it some taste. Another couple sat next to us and was given the option of specials. We was never informed. Food came and it was tasteless and pizza burnt. Mrs turned her pizza upside down to show them and we told them not happy. Waitress returned with bill. No apology.

Works xmas party . Excellent all around . Only one slight comment felt very squashed on seating arrangements. But that didn't spoil the evening.

Nice meal, very pricey. £8.95 for an Affogatto (too much). Cold and draughty at the table at the front. It was ok but wouldn't rush back.

I always go to Regina when I am on business trip in Southampton area. It’s to me by far one of the best restaurant out there. I like the authenticity of the meals. Even a simple tagliatelle ragu are very good. I also always enjoy their desert.

Dinner. Food very good, yet not many real Italian dishes. Service excellent. Atmosphere, not the top. Table next to ladies on the first floor relaxing next to a tricky (invisible) step .

Lovely food, well presented and a charming interior. Sadly the service was stiff and not welcoming or warm. This made for a disappointing Christmas experience.

Just enjoyed the Festive Set Menu for lunch - fabulous food and fantastic value at £28.50 for three courses. This is the second year that we've been for a Festive Lunch and we'll go again next year. We've eaten here many times and they've not let us down once.

We went here for our work Christmas do. We decided to come here as we had such a lovely time last year. Food was incredible and fab service but seriously the DJ needs a bit of a rethink. The final song of the evening was far too depressing. Bearing in mind it was a Christmas evening the music should’ve been a lot more upbeat and some of the good songs were played while everyone was eating.

Great service from Josh and Regina again We went back here for another family catch up and again another great results Food as always beautiful representative and tasty service from Josh our host for the evening and the pleasure of having Reggina (the boss ) serving us it was a great experience as always I recommend this place 💯

Great evening out lively service, great but slightly pricey wine list and excellent food.

this is a genuine review, I don't this that often but in this case I thought I'd make the effort. 6 of us booked to celebrate my stepdads 80th. he uses a wheelchair and the access was very narrow and awkward. the maitre d, was a rather arrogant guy, gave us our menus and after a bit asked for our starter order. when we said we would go straight to the mains he came across as being unsmiling and put out. "no starters??" as if we had offended him in some way, and walked off. he eventually came back for our main course order, three of us ordered the lamb roast and one ordered braised lamb. he seemed to have trouble with this and exasperated ly asked" so four lamb roasts then?" we organised ourselves by saying " OK so who ordered lamb roasts" and 3 put their hands up so he got the message but made a point of giving my mum in law her braised lamb in a raised voice. the food itself was very good to be honest. we decided to forgo desserts and went straight for coffee which went well. we asked for the bill bit noted the usual and rip off 10 percent service charge, which, as no one asked us during the meal.if everything was OK, we decided against paying. when we paid the server was aloof and cold and didn't thank.us. in a nut shell we didn't enjoy the experience. the Italian maitre d was arrogant and intolerant, and the whole impression was a production line of making money without any warmth or appreciation. we won't be going there again and I'd suggest any prospective customers consider whether the experience is as important as the food, it is for us. don't go, find an eatery that cares for your enjoyment more than.your money.

Booked for my birthday and let them know that was the reason when booking. There were only two other tables used, so it was really quiet, however the waiter was extremely rude. No acknowledgment at all. I was about to tell him to watch how he's talking, but I thought it may have been the accent which just sounded rude. However when we left, my dad mentioned how rude he was, which confirmed it. I asked how the house red was and he replied in such a sarcastic tone: "It's our house red, of course it should be good." When asking a question, he answered as if we were stupid, then walked off as if his time was better. His whole attitude was as if he couldn't be bothered and he was above us. I really wanted to come back but there's just no way that's going to happen again, which is a shame as it's been on my list for around a year. Lovely restaurant ruined by a miserable little man. Also a shame the birthday meal was awful, which set a bad tone for the day.

Always a wonderful visit. Food, atmosphere and staff. We go when we stay in Southampton before a cruise.

Excellent. Very good, hearty Italian food. We had the Burrata to start with the beautiful tomato pizza bread, lovely combo and enough for two to mix and share. Gamberoni Broccolini was exceptional, lovely delicate flavours, no overpowering sauces here, just a lovely simple white wine with chili and garlic. Pizza Vesuvio was lovely too, well cooked, crispy base and fresh mozzarella! Home-made desserts for afters, just delicious, what more can you ask for! Staff were lovely and attentive, but not intruding, it's a delicate balance and they did it really well. Couldn't fault it at all, lovely evening and thank you to all involved, from a couple of parents who hadn't been out for dinner in nearly two years!!

Qué decepcionante. Para una reserva de grupo preordenada, caos desorganizado. La comida todavía llegaba a la mesa cuando otros en la mesa ya habían terminado de comer. Mezclarse completamente con los pedidos, especialmente cuando las alergias alimentarias ya han sido notificadas con antelación y preordenadas. El entrante de cangrejo era gris, húmedo, acuoso, papilla insípida. Pasta de mariscos desprovista de mariscos, solo 2 anillos de calamares y 2 gambas en una salsa de tomate insípida. ¡Bebidas extorsivas! ¿Qué le ha pasado a los Regina hace años cuando Joe era el jefe de casa? Solía ser realmente increíble entonces. Ahora sobreprecio, mal presentado, carente de gusto e imaginación demasiado caro para lo que es, costo injustificable. ¡No aceptes tantas reservas si no puedes hacer frente a ellas y no puedes entregar un menú y un servicio acordes con los precios que estás cobrando!

Another great meal at a favorite restaurant!

I can only give this restaurant 5 stars. Had dinner there last Saturday night. I started with muscles in a delicious soup and then lobster tagliatelle. The portions were generous, beautifully presented and excellent quality. The staff were friendly, attentive but not intrusive, the staff worked their socks off. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lively but not noisy. We had a really lovely evening and can't wait to book again.

Great find restaurant in Botley near Southampton. When on a Monday evening after being recommended by Hotel . Really good food very reasonable price for the Quality . Friendly service and when we were unable to get a Taxi the owner took us back to our Hotel about 10 minutes away . Fantastic restaurant.

Extortionate! Poor service. My family went there for a birthday celebration , pre booked. Waited for a long time for anyone to take our order, then over an hour for our first course! These were nice but quite expensive. Mains were not far behind, we chose not to have a dessert as we’d have been eating at around 10pm! The mains were ok, I’ve had better, to be honest. Portions quite small and again, the service not great. 3 of the party got their main , the rest had to wait, then the accompanying veg, also took a while, therefore the main “event” was no longer hot! There was a bottle water on the table, we were also given a second, totally shocked to find out we were charged nearly £10 for these!! So beware when asking or drinking the bottled water! There was also quite a high service charge.! However we were offered a complimentary drink for the delay. Nice touch but didn’t really cut it! We most definitely will not be returning.

What a delightful little find. Traditional Italian restaurant. Settling is fabulous and the food was delicious. Friendly staff and chef. Will definitely be planning another visit soon.

Really please we made the 1.5 mile walk from our hotel to Regginas. Lovely welcome and despite the restaurant being very busy with some large tables the service and food was great. Good selection of specials, that we chose and extensive wine list. Will be back if in the area.

Place and service were spot on. The food was a bit of a hit and miss. I had tempura vegetables and seafood risotto, both delicious, especially the vegetables. But my husband did not enjoy his steak, and our friends pork was pink. They were both ill that night. Our other friend enjoyed his food. Shame

The restaurant is lovely inside, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. A great selection of wines and the starters, main course and desert were all perfect. I would highly recommend! Good vegetarian options.

Upon arrival, a waitress greeted us with minimal enthusiasm and I was personally quite put off straight away. This attitude perpetuated throughout the evening, with this one waitress in particular, but the others seemed quite blunt as well. I got the feeling maybe there was a toxic atmosphere, but I digress. At one point I moved my chair slightly as the setting sun was right in my face. As soon as I’d moved, the waitress with an attitude told me to move back in order to allow a table of two, that were due to arrive, more room. I was nowhere near them and it would have been fine. I explained to the waitress that I’d moved due to the glare and she completely ignored me and turned away. But alas, I moved a bit and had the sun in my eyes again. Service felt laboured throughout the night to the point that I wanted dessert but told my guests I wanted to leave due to the poor service. The waitress with an attitude came over to ask if we wanted any dessert and we said “no thank you” and then I added “can we have the bill” but was ignored yet again and she turned away. Only to then begrudgingly turn back so I could finish. The food was very nice but I was extremely disappointed with the service and have no intentions of going back.

The food was lovely .nice dining room plenty of space. Sad the waiter obviously got out of the unhappy side of the bed today although was pleasant enough.

This was our first visit to Regginas and defiantly wont be our last, our food was beautify prepared and the service was impeccable.

First time visiting and it was amazing!! Hugo was our waiter and his customer service was super. The food was full of flavour and a great selection of choice. We can't wait to return.

Where do you start. From the moment you enter you can tell it is a special place. The food quality and choice is to the highest standard and the service is up there with the very best. I have been here several times, fantastic place to eat.

Cold welcome, booked table not ready, servers not engaged, very functional, although I had put on notes that it was my wife's birthday zero acknowledgement. Food was good standard however overall experience was disappointing and cannot recommend.

My friend and I had lunch. We were treated very well, and nothing was too much trouble. My friend has celiac, and she had gluten free pasta and she had the roulade for dessert. It got quite busy, so the atmosphere was lovely with diners enjoying their lunch. The only down side, is that the ladies loos are up stairs. I will be recommending Reginnas to my friends.

Had a lovely lunch (Monday lunchtime) with friends to celebrate a birthday. Only two other diners eating, so it was like a private dining experience. Waiter was very attentive, but not annoyingly so. Gave us enough time to eat and chat, without long waits or rushing us out! Food was lovely too. Friends that had pasta were full, but managed deserts. Friend whose birthday it was had her desert arrive with a candle in it. Nice touch and unexpected!!!

Lovely restaurant, with great food and wonderful staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Without being asked or prompted, they worked out it was my birthday, so when it was time to bring out my banoffee pie, they'd put a little candle on it. So sweet. Attentive without being intrusive. As a gen z’er I wasn’t sure if I was too young for this place but I surprisingly loved the atmosphere and felt super relaxed. Me and my boyfriend both said it was the best date night we’d had in a while! Unlike when in chain restaurants we didn’t pick up our phones, we just enjoyed each others company! I didnt drink but the wine selection looked great. We had bread to start and then a carbonara and meat al forno. Both were deliciousssssssss! 5 stars! I also had a tiramisu and my only criticism would be that it was too much cream not enough sponge but maybe that’s my personal opinion:) The guy who served us was lovely & very knowledgeable! I think this will be our new favourite spot!

Amazing for birthday parties of any and any parties like engagement etc. Amazing place to be on NYE staff are great, especially the owner she goes beyond and above to make sure 5 have an Unforgettable time whether is lunch or dinner time. All staff will make your day or evening whichever the occasion a memorable event that you will not forget and will always keep going back year after year. Have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years and each time it was an amazing time and memories made with my family and friends that I will never forget. Not a particularly Italian menu of atmosphere, more of a high end gastro pub feel. The food was exceptional though. I had Scottish mussels and a sticky glazed pork belly. Top class! Couldn’t fault a single thing and will definitely be back. Server was passionate about the food and had a really happy character about him. Perfect family run restaurant. Highly recommend!

We absolutely love Regginas! This restaurant has been our favourite restaurant to go to for years. Food is incredible, the ‘specials’ are amazing and the service is always first class. If you are lucky to go to one of the gala nights then do! Live music, great atmosphere ‘Rachael Hawnt’ is brilliant! We love this venue so much we were lucky enough to host our engagement party on the terrace, a few weeks back and Reggina and the team accommodated us and our guests amazingly and the night was perfect! Having not been to regginas for a few years I habe to say we were very impressed with everything from service to food quality. A great menu choice. Highly recommend a visit.

A gem of a restaurant in Botley. Great food and great wine selection. They also offer a decent gluten free selection although strangely the steaks weren’t offered gluten free?

Was good. All in all 5 stars. But I would just say that I had the calamari and it wasn't all that warm to be honest. Was tasty but needs to be served hot. Had a pork chop special. The pork chop was very thin. Not much meat on it. Don't get me wrong, was tasty, but for £24 I expect a good slab of meat. Staff were amazing. Very attentive and served with a smile. What annoyed me slightly was I had to keep passing things to the waiter. I was sat up against a wall and they kept asking me to pass the unused cutlery to them. Was a little annoying as I was in conversation each time. Never mind. Would come back, lovely setting on the back terrace and had a nice atmosphere to it.

A rare night out at a nice restaurant. The food was lovely, but the drinks were a bit pricey. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the staff would have got 5 stars too, but unfortunately the evening was slightly marred, by a waitress who as we were leaving, virtually accused us of not paying. We had already paid her colleague. Her manner was very rude. Maybe a bit of training on how to politely ask a customer if they have already paid would be beneficial, rather than embarrassing them.

Wir waren hier am Samstag abend und hatten Glück, den letztn Tisch zu erhalten. Deshalb unbedingt vorher anrufen und einen Tisch im Obergeschoss reservieren. Sehr gutes italienisches Essen. Wir hatten Past und Fischgerichte, die alle hausgemacht und frisch waren. Preis-/ Leistung ist o.k, das Personal sehr freundlich. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder gehen.

I came here on April 6th 2019 with my Boyfriend, as we were staying at a nearby hotel for his Birthday. After being let down by the Pub we had planned to go to and then missing the last train to Southampton Central, Regginas was our saviour. We accidentally discovered this little restaurant in a small, nearby village and it was beautiful. We arrived at a busy time with no booking, yet the waitress at the door told us not to worry and that she would sort us a table. We were shown to the lovely little bar and we got some drinks whilst we sat for a very short and understandable wait. We then were seated and offered another drink and a garlic bread starter which they put extra cheese on for us. It was the best cheesy garlic bread I've ever had! Then my boyfriend asked if one of the sharers could be served as a main, and they told us absolutely. Our meals were delicious and the puddings were even better. We got a toffee cheesecake and a banoffee pie to share. The banoffee pie was absolute heaven! We were served by a young waiter named Josh who was lovely! He was very enthusiastic and bright, attending to all of our needs and kindly asking the kitchen about my vegetarian requests. He was lovely and continually checked up on us, as well as profusely apologising when one of the puddings we ordered had run out, which we didn't mind at all. It was a shame when we wanted to tip him at the end, but couldn't find him anywhere, so my boyfriend left a tip for him with another waitress. I hope it found its way to him. :)The only downfall was that the vegetarian choices were limited. Other than that - lovely place and I am really hoping to return with my boyfriend for another special occasion. Thank you to all of the lovely staff for the excellent service and food!

We' ve been before, so when deciding where to go for a Birthday Sunday lunch it was a no brainer, Regginas was first choice! The service is very caring and attentive to every detail. The Sunday roast is exceptional value and to die for taste. Always there to help ensure you have a memorable experience!!

The standard was high. The staff were helpful and very efficient. The specials on the board were clearly explained if you asked for details. There was a good ambience, so our group had a most enjoyable evening.

My husband and I had a fantastic meal here tonight. I have to eat gluten free and there were so many options. Gluten free pasta, pizza, risottos and meats. All sauces are made fresh so can be gluten free. I was very excited to be able to order a bread starter - gluten free garlic pizza! They make their own gf pizza bases, so much better than chain restaurants! I then ordered pan fried cod which was so delicious and great portion sizes. Couldn’t fault anything this evening. A must visit restaurant!

Have visited before with family but this is first review.Service is excellent. Today we had the Sunday Menu which was far more than just roasts. Our table had roast beef roast and I had Fish Pie. Lovely food really enjoyable and plenty of vegetables. Roast gravy wonderful. Best fish pie I've eaten.Sweets chosen Banofi Pie and Tiramisu both delicious. Thoroughly recommended. Need to book it's always busy

This was our second visit to Reggina’s & we thoroughly enjoyed it again. The specials were explained in detail which was lovely as it gave more detail to what was on the board. I had the starter of smoked duck & orange salad, which was spectacular! They are brilliant at offering alternatives for my wheat allergy, apologising that if I wanted gluten free pasta they only had one kind! (Many places still don’t have a gluten free option in pasta) I could have had gluten free pizza, pasta & they were very aware of any other of their meals which did contain wheat. I was assured that their sauces weren’t thickened with flour, but were made from their own stocks & therefore reduced the correct way! (Good to know & a sign of a good quality restaurant.) One of the best things about the restaurant, other than the food is the Maitre d. He is very courteous, humorous, knowledgable & helpful - everything a good maitre d should be. Would very much recommend Reggina’s for a good quality meal . Not the cheapest, but then, you get what you pay for!
