We came here for a special occasion after recommendations online. Service was very slow and inattentive. The food was edible. That’s the best I can say about it. And very expensive. For a vegan specialist, it missed the mark by a long way. Decor was lacking. Everywhere else in neals yard looks much nicer. Wouldn’t be returning.

I came to Redemption on a busy Saturday evening with my sister. The restaurant looks great and has a good atmosphere. We chose a high table which was much preferable to the main dining area where the tables were extremely close together. The service was prompt and the staff were very nice which made our meal even more enjoyable. There was a great selection of food and drink. We chose a number of small plates to share which were all very tasty and flavourful. My favourite was the sweetcorn fritters! I'd highly recommend the desserts, I couldn't even tell our dishes were vegan! Redemption is a great place to go for dinner and drinks with friends, very instagrammable.

Found this bar/restaurant while visiting Neal's Yard - everywhere was busy, so glad to find a table for 3 swiftly. Service was good and food excellent.

I'm becoming a bit of a regular at Redemption during trips to London, this being my first visit on a Saturday night. Great atmosphere, excellent food, good service. Drinks feel a bit overpriced though.

The service was really poor despite charging a device charge. Staff were rude and general not accommodating. The food was overpriced and poor value for money. The only nice experience was the hand soap. Will not be returning again and would encourage others to not waste their time or money.

A friend and I had dinner here on a Friday evening booked for 7pm. We arrived at 6.50pm and the restaurant was completely empty, we got to choose a table near the window next to the pretty fairy lights. From 7.30pm it started to pick up a little bit it was still only half full. It worked perfectly for my friend and I as it meant we didn’t have a 2 hour slot we got to stay till close and catch up properly. The staff were very welcoming however our waitress was new and wasn’t well informed on the menu. Drinks- we had the apple mockjito and flu fighter martini each which were surprisingly yummy Food- my friend had the jackfruit burger and I had the redemption burger. When asked the waitress about the jackfruit spicy bbq burger she said it has a chilli kick to it which put me off it and made me decide on the redemption burger but when trying my friends burger it was sweet not spicy at all. It was my friends first time trying jackfruit and she enjoyed it. The redemption burger was nice too. Dessert- we shared the banoffee pie and despite the good reviews on it we didn’t like it - it was an odd chewy texture and the vegan cream was sour tasting. I wouldn’t go back here in a hurry nor recommend it to a friend, if you’re looking for a nice vegan place in the area I highly recommend Farmacy

Went to Redemption Notting Hill for the first time and boy what a disappointment. Service was poor. Flustered waitress greeted me, was offered water whilst I waited for my friend by it never came. I ordered soup of the day ( was supposed to be leek and ?.cant remember....) was really salty but otherwise ok. I make better at home. I ordered kimchi slaw, it had no Asian flavour at all nor chilli, was like a creamy Cole slaw. Was nice though but not the description on the menu - literally I cold count the tiny pieces of coriander and red onion in it lol. . My friend had a kale, avocado, pumpkin, beetroot salad and for for £15.95 she got a giant bowl of raw kale, which kept falling off the plate lol ( nice macadamia dressing) and she had to hunt for all the other ingredients. We just laughed could not be bothered to complain because they were clearly understaffed and the two poor waitresses were under stress:( . I had ordered a turmeric latte which never came but appeared in our bill but was taken off. They never asked if we enjoyed our meal. To be fair to the waitresses they were lovely young women and always polite. We decide to go around the corner to Farmacy to end our meal...reliable qualityblisss adaptogenic latte and turmeric latte ahhhh yum. !!! It’s not a bad place Redemption, nice layout and atmosphere and unpretentious, but if the eating experience is not good why go back? Go there if you just crave vegan fare.

As a vegan with an intolerance to refined sugar, I have gotten used to not being able to eat sweet foods. However, having stumbled across the Covent Garden branch of redemption I am now able to indulge my sweet tooth. They do a great brunch but their sweet treats are particularly to die for - fave recommendations are the vanilla almond cake and the match muffins!

I booked this restaurant after I had heard from a Vegan friend that it was on one of her top 10 Vegan restaurants to visit. We arrived a little earlier than our reservation, me and my siblings. With busy lives we rarely get a chance to get together to go out. Upon arrival we were asked to wait a few minutes whilst they got our table ready, no issue with that we were early. Once our table was ready we weren't taken to it we were just pointed to it which I found a little bizarre but none the less we walked towards our table and sat down. We looked at the menus and decided within minutes what we wanted to drink and eat as the menu isn't big abd not alot of variety. We were aat for about 15 mins before we had to wave at the waitress to come and take our order. We ordered both drinks and food in one go (seeing as we had already been waiting 15mins). I could see water on all the other tables but not on ours, I could see the waitress running around with re filled water bottles for all the other tables except ours. RUDE! Our starters arrived - still no drinks. Trying to avoid eye contact with us when they could clearly see we were trying to grt their attention. Our mains arrived - STILL NO DRINKS. At this point I had to say something and asked about our drinks to which I was told they were coming. Another 5/6 minutes went by and finally a waiter comes over with half our drinks (none of which were anything they needed time to make - they were bottles). He apologised and said they didn't have one pf the bottles so he had to run out and go buy some. What a joke. Whilst we waited this waiter left to go buy a bottle. I mean why didnt they just come over and explain this and we would have easily ordered something else. As a way of an apology he offered a 10% off our bill - the very least they could've done. Another 5/6 minutes pass and we have had to ask again for the drinks they still haven't bought out - THEY FORGOT! Anyways we finish our meal which was bland, and not anything wow and asked for the bill - they were quick enough about that. Service charge already charged - We refused to pay to which we got some unfriendly looks. 10% off the bill by their calculations was incorrect so we had to calculate ourselves. Paid is cash but as we were leaving the waitress stops me and says the bill was short of 25p. This was the topping on the cake. I couldn't stop laughing. Gave her a pound and told her to keep the change. I am a generous tipper when it's deserved but this restaurant was beyond a joke. Not surprised it has as many bad reviews. Ambience - 5 Food - 3 Interior - 5 Service - 1 ££ - 5 Biggest question of all... Would I return or recommend? NO!

Came here with my family for dinner this weekend and we were about 30 mins early but the staff managed to give us our table earlier, which was great. And then from there onwards, we received APPALLING service! None of the staff came to take our drinks order until we called someone over - we were sat waiting for about 20 mins. We ordered our drinks (hot chocolate, apple juice and a bottle of non-alcoholic Prosecco). We also ordered our food as we figured if it took this long for them to come and take our drinks order, the same would happen for our food order. We ordered kale crisp, 2 coleslaws, 2 roast potatoes and 2 falafel plates. Our food took 30 mins to come (BARE IN MIND THE RESTAURANT WASN’T VERY BUSY). At this point, our drinks still hasn’t come!! I asked the waiter we’ve been waiting over 30 mins and our drinks still haven’t come. He apologised and said “they’re coming out now”. When the drinks came out, it was over 40 mins and the waiter apologised and said he’ll give us a 10% discount at the end. The food wasn’t great at all!! Very bland and the potatoes weren’t cooked properly. We ordered our bill and noticed that the 10% discount wasn’t applied and they even had the cheek to add service charge. We refused to pay the service change as we didn’t receive good service from them. OVERALL, AWFUL EXPERIENCE AND FOOD WAS NOTHING SPECIAL. I would ONLY recommend to go here if you have 40 mins to spare to wait for your food to arrive, and like your potatoes undercooked!! If not, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!!

I came here for dinner on a Saturday night. We were extremely disappointed by the huge lack of choice. The menu only had five options and two of these main options had gone, so our choice was limited. In fact it was so limited that they had run out of tea as well. The food was nice but I wouldn’t rate it as anything special. I had the kale salad which was just a bowl of kale. Also worth noting that they don’t serve alcohol, yet they still charge the same price for a non alcoholic gin or a beer which seems extremely over priced. Would recommend farmacy over this I’m afraid.

Went here with my friend and it was so cute and cosy! The drinks were delicious and the food was amazing! The Seitan Alfredo pasta was the best I’ve had and the desserts were so delicious especially the banoffe pie! We also had the charcoal burger it was good however the top of the bun was a bit dry. I booked a table for myself to have a nice brunch. I really enjoyed my quiet Saturday, however, the service was a bit slow, the pancakes that I ordered were a bit colder than I would like them and the turmeric latte wasn't the best. Despite everything, the pancakes tasted still very good and after a little turmeric disaster, I ordered vanilla chai tea instead, which was delicious. For the desert I had caramel cheesecake, which honestly was the highlight of the visit. I think that the food was a bit expensive but a good treat for a weekend. I would definitely recommend booking a table for a weekend otherwise you would have to wait for at least half an hour. Wow... I'm not a vegan (or even vegetarian) but this meal was amazing! Really filling. Definitely come back if I'm in the area. They just need More outside seating for glorious uk weather!
