Red Rose in Sheffield

As always the fish was amazing and value for money is unbeatable best chip shop I’ve discovered outside of Norfolk and until they let me down I’m not looking elsewhere.

Big portion sizes for a very reasonable price. The food itself was delicious also. One of the best chippies I've been to. Definitely one to return to whenever I'm back in Sheffield.

Huge portions at reasonable prices! Make sure to take cash as they don't accept card (there is a cash machine just up the road) Food is always fresh and tasty.

I often get a cone of chips for just £1 with sweet chilli sauce - they are actually in a polystyrene tray so the portion size is excellent as are the chips. The owners are very friendly, I knew them from when they were at the chippy on Taplin Road (which is not there anymore). I have tried a small chips from other establishments in Hillsborough but they are a lot more expensive and not as good as Red Rose.

Massive portion and very well cooked chips. Funnily enough i was trying to explain to a friend from 'Down South' what a propper fish cake is. I then had the fortune to find this place whilst on a business trip. Well worth a try if you are in the neighbourhood. Sorry its not the best/most appetising photo but i took it to show my friend not for a post. However if anyone is wondering what a propper fish cake looks like.... this is it 😁

Wasn't very tasty the only good point was the amount you get is good for money, not a fan of mushy peas as they tasted very watered down

my first time visiting this chippy. And never again. i ordered fish and chips and a sausage, the price was reasonable. The fish was cooked fresh.... Now onto the chips - these were clearly cooked over 24hrs ago. They are old, and smell and taste rancid. Old oil and cold. They were last fresh months ago. if I could rate zero I would.
