A true hidden gem in north wales. a real country pub with a great village community. Nita and major were fantastic hosts from the minute we entered the door. Real open fires and real home made curry’s in a truly beautiful traditional country pub. The chicken Punjabi and masala fish nann were just unbelievably amazing. Well priced and great portions. Can’t recommend this place highly enough.

A lovely traditional pub, not much atmosphere or a great welcome from the landlord. If you're in the hospitality business, at least try to smile and say a few words. A god bar and choice of drinks, food portionswere small and food not great, very average. Ordered veggie samosas for a starter and recieved 1, a single samosa charged at 2.95...tasted OK, but stingy really. Scampi and chips for the main- tiny amount for 13.95. Husband had a burger which wS 14.95 and average. Was overcharged too. Not a great experience, would not eat here again. A lot more could be done to improve this lovely pub.

An absolute hidden gem. Lovely traditional old pub with cosy and interesting interiors. The curry was the best part! So fresh and authentically cooked. We were all so happy and full! We were a big group of 8 so they warned us the food would be a little while as it's a small family pub, but the wait wasn't too bad at all considering and the service was very friendly. Board games and books were a nice bonus too, as we had a small toddler with us

We were heading for the pub on a cycle ride, when we arrived the pub was shut (due to open later in the day). The landlord was outside and very kindly offered to open up just for us so we could have a pint or 2. Such a lovely and generous thing to do. Would definitely return.

They just opened a "chai house" in the mornings which serves delicious masala chai and both traditional and indian style breakfasts. A lovely harmony of indian home cooking and a traditional welsh country pub!

Excellent country pub with incredible food. Incredible curries. Can't understand why place isn't full to bursting! Maybe that's why it's so good as nothing is rushed and all made to order. We'll certainly be going there again. It's a well kept secret discovered by a colleague of mine who's recently moved into the village.

An amazing village pub, beers are really good and the food is always amazing. Best part about this pub is the Whiskey and Gin tasting evenings, they have such a wide range of both liquors, always packed and brilliant atomosphere. Owners are always welcoming and offer such a friendly service. But, best evening to attend is curry nights, proper home cooked indian curries.

We travelled some thirty miles on the strength of reviews we had read. The landlord gave us a warm welcome and we installed ourselves in a nook of the pub that had three tables and a wood burner. There were other tables along towards the bar; the public bar had more tables and a pool table. The food is served from 18:00hrs and we were quick off the mark to place our order as we had waited some weeks before we were able to make the visit. We each ordered a starter, a kebab and a samosa. Both were amazing the samosa was absolutely the best I have ever tasted. I had to restrain myself from ordering half a dozen to take home! Then onto the main event of the pork curry served with rice and naan. I enjoyed the curry, but the rice elevated the meal, this is not the stuff that you are served in your local takeaway! The Guinness is a superior pint to some of the other Guinness I have been served, I was gutted I had taken on driving duties so could only partake of one pint. I would like to make a return visit very soon. If you like good food, good beer and a friendly atmosphere pay a visit.

Mr and Mrs Singh were delightful hosts in this recently re-opened pub. We stayed four days just up the road and enjoyed attending every night. All of the locals we encountered were very nice too. Fun trivia night, although I forget which night. Timothy Sparks and Denise McDonald Cudal, New South Wales Australia
