Red Lion in Oldham

Great pub in the week, But not for me @ Weekends Not my type of client hanging around outside drunk & smoking the wrong stuff,

Very busy place at weekends when Karaoke is on.

The manager needs to take their bar staff in hand and teach them that all customers would like to be served as they only seem capable of serving young lads and ignore any other customers who do not fill this criteria. They lost at least 7 customers last night Friday 5/10 by looking straight at us and then walking away to serve their friends first. We spoke to other people who had the same happen to them. Please tell them to respect each and every customer that walks through your door.

Nice little pub, called in for a quick drink midweek. Nice friendly atmosphere. Did not have food. Would call in again.

Drinks are Surprisingly expensive

Footy pub . Rude staff . Did not feel welcome sat outside alone enjoying a cold drink in the sun, not bothering a soul , and felt eyeballed and body language wise allmost hurried off by the doormen .

I only visit Fridays with karioke but the atmosphere is great

Nice place but beer selection was lager or bottles. No draft ale... well... John Smiths, but that doesn't count!

Great pub has everything from sports to pool table and darts board plus a great atmosphere of an evening.

Miserable experience my last time in... nursing a pint if it was the only thing left worth living for good staff offered me vegetarian quiche and improved my day...a little!!!

We had something to eat in here the service was good , the food was i suppose ok nothing to get excited about but ok ,the staff were polite and the service was very good

The evening was going ok until the barmaid (for want of a better word) made accusations that my friend was under the influence of drugs, which he most certainly was not, she then refused to serve us so we promptly left feeling a little embarrassed about the fiasco. On a positive note we found another pub which was warm and welcoming and were made aware to avoid the red lion at weekends as it is a hotspot for narcotics and all that comes with it. I can safely say I will not spend another penny of my hard earned money on there rather inflated beer prices and I will and have shared my poor experience with others.

Lovely meals n on a Tuesday you can get two main courses for a £5 n two desserts for £4.95 just as we did today not certain where you would park your car! Anyway well worth a visit especially on a Tuesday!

A pub that has been modernized in recent years and is trying it's best to be a professional outlet for social drinking and eating. As with most pubs, bars and restaurants service lacks at times. ( staff on phone while I was waiting to be served at the bar) although she was apologetic for being so. Food and drinks of a decent standard and price and in surroundings of a pleasant standard unless you don't like TV sport surrounding you. As this is a small village pub you do get regular local drinkers at the bar who have less than a sense of decent language at times. For this pub to attract a more regular quality cash customer the management may want to think about having a word with their regular bar dwelling regulars to have a little consideration for the visiting public and give management and owners a chance of this pub with food a chance of making money and staying open, which so many don't these days!

My Mum in law and I popped in this afternoon for a bite to eat and a coffee. to warm up more than anything as the weather was raining cats, dogs and any other animal you care to mention!!!! How pleased were we that we chose the Red Lion to seek shelter and sustenance, wowzer folks!!! You really need to get in there and get one, or as many as you can eat, of their burgers!!!!! Best ever you’ll have tasted, seriously the very best ever I have!!!!! The amazing price of this burger in one of those shiny buns with salad, chips and an incredible sauce........, wait for this 😮😮😮😮😮😮 £5.00!!!! Get yourselves down there before they’ve all gone, stuff that yellow M, It’s the Red Lion in Lees for me now every time. Don’t forget who told you and promise to leave a couple for my Mum in law and me!!!! But above all ENJOY 😉

Went on a karaoke night, plenty of atmosphere and staff were friendly and helpful. Was pretty busy but enough staff to handle it. Clean toilets too!

Cosy local pub. Good choice of beers, wine, and soft drinks. Now serving food and snaks. Friendly staff. There's a covered smoking area at the rear. Free pool, and special offers on food every day. There is a seating area at the front for those sunny days. Recently been re -furbrished. A nice friendly atmosphere.

Used to drink in here but due to medication I dont drink now...under going a refurbishment at the moment

Just a locals pub. However advertised cask ales but have ales on.

If your planning on drinking in here it's probably because you are a local, this is typical back street type of pub you find everywhere and one that is probably worth avoiding if your are just passing by. The smell of marijuana coming from some of the people in there can be on the strong side even if your sat outside. There are other pubs near by that are far better.

One of the first true village pubs i drank in & it still upholds those village values to this day.
