Lucky Fortune - Fish, Chips & Chinese Takeaway in Oldham

Ordered tonight as we go here frequently and never had any problems with service or food. However, tonight, my order was taken by a very young person and when I arrived home my mixed vegetable curry was in fact a special curry containing prawns that I cannot eat so my meal was ruined unfortunately!!

The best takeaway on Oldham! Ignore the negative reviews. This place is excellent. The food is superb, and the portions are big.

Ordered a special chow mein last night, it was basically noodles with 2 bits of broccoli and a couple of carrots, as for the meat a couple of slices of chicken 2 prawns and 3 bits of beef. Very Disappointed as the food is usually good.

We bought e chicken chow main and noodle.more like spaghetti and the chicken balls more dough only ever try this ones as our normal Chinese is close the food not all that nice

Ordered food and told an hour. I’ve been waiting an hour and 40 mins. Still no take away. This had happened before and arrived with part of the order missing. That’s me now. I will not be ordering from here again. They need to get their act together Shocking service !!!!!

We’ve been ordering from this place every Sunday for the past couple of months. The food has been perfect every time without fail and it’s very reasonably priced. Complimentary prawn crackers and salt and pepper chicken doesn’t hurt either. Very gut! It’s a real hidden gem that I’m surprised I hadn’t heard of earlier. We’ve tried every Chinese in Saddleworth and surrounding areas and this is far and away the most consistently delicious. 5 stars lucky boi!

Wrong food delivered. Onions and vegetables still raw. Chicken sweetcorn soup had lumps of gellatin in. Fish, what fish, nearly all batter. Never again order from here. Absolutely disgusting

Just had our food delivered...absolutely disgusting!!! First of all the whole bag was absolutely covered in sauce and I mean saturated in it! Ordered chicken satay skewers couldnt even see the skewers just a tray full of satay sauce. Wouldnt even call it chicken either..vile. The beef chow mein was so overcooked the noodles went to complete mush nowhere near edible! Only decent thing was the ribs..apart from there werent any sauce it was in the bottom of the carrier bag. What a waste of £26 I'll NEVER order from here again. Used to be such a nice chinese. Another thing the boy who answers hasnt an absolute clue what hes doing was on the phone 10 minutes whilst he kept serving people in the shop. RUDE!!!

Luke warm on opening it after being delivered. Rang to tell them and the lady was very rude and cocky. As she said I don’t think so. Well I’m sorry I do think so, we’re paying customers and you doubt people well look in the mirror. I will not be coming there again as some other reviews on here are bad also on the past year, so that definitely says something.

We had decided to try Lucky Fortune after receiving a menu...never again, the chicken chow mein, (I played hunt the chicken). My mother and brother had the chicken curry and both found the chicken to be rubbery...we waited nearly 2 hours for delivery after being told delivery would take 1 hour. I will not be getting food from here again, £40 down the drain.

Extremely good Chinese takeaway. Probably the best in local area. Food is always consistent and so is the service. Definitely a go to if you live in Lees, Springhead, Groton. Never had a bad meal.

I can honestly say I’ve never had salt sauce like it before. The curry sauce surely had seriously dangerous amounts of salt in it. Ruined the meal. The girl behind the counter wasn’t interested in dealing with people directly and kept her headphones in. Not good customer service.

Dont even deserve a single star, food not worth the prices they charge and the service is terrible always something missing from your order and when you phone to ask where it is they put the phone down on you

We have ordered lots of food from Lucky Fortune and have never been disappointed. Its always been tasty and we have always enjoyed the food. This is our go to Chinese.

Food was not good chips was dry and rubbery ordered chicken chow main and the chicken was rubbery not cooked properly ask for a refund and would not give refund dont order from here reporting to trading standards

Special chow main lacked any beansprouts at all only noodles,2 prawns 2 pork slices a few bits of chicken,very bland in my opinion, Having heard good things about this outlet decided to try it,Recipe needs a slight re think.

Great the original owner is back , i went last week the food was really good. Had the set meal for two and it was really nice.

Great good priced speedy takeaway

Ordered from here for a few years now and it's always been very good. Tonight however was terrible. Ended up with a long hair in my mouth whilst eating one of the chicken balls, chewy meat in the special fried rice and normally the rice is moist but it was really dry. The duck spring rolls were so salty as was the beef in black bean sauce. Ended up throwing most of it away. Such a shame. It has always been our favourite Chinese take away.

Got takeaway here for the first time, girlfriend got Egg fried rice and curry sauce and ended up getting food poisoning and was throwing up all night about 10 times through the the night. Never getting anything from here again.

Ordered today and the food is shocking, lack of taste and, meat is undercooked . Just a whole lot of boiled veg and sauce.

The food was actually shocking tonight the salt and pepper ribs was disgusting and the chop Shey roll was cover in grease and the waiting time was something else do not recommend at all !!!!

I don't often leave reviews unless I feel my experience was especially bad. Just had Singapore Chow Mein & can honestly say I thought I'd been given a vegetarian option due to the sheer lack of meat. For £6.30 I realise I'm not going to get something wonderful but come on, this was a blatant #### take & if I could have given ZERO stars then I would have. I for one will certainly not be returning😡.

19quid and mostly inedible.. noodles not cooked, meat undercooked, ended up binning about 15quids worth...Shame coz had heard it was good

This is the worst Chinese food I have ever tasted the meat was awful in the special fried rice and satay . the salt and pepper chicken was literally rubbery chicken and onions. The duck rolls we ordered came as spring rolls with hoisin sauce will not de ordering from here again

Gorgeous, tasty, fresh food . Service very friendly. The salt and pepper chips are the best I've tasted. We will be trying other dishes in the future .

I like food. Unfortunately my curry was tasteless n watery sunday. Usually 😋. Love special fried rice as it has beef in it. Char sui in it tasty. Shredded chilli chicken tasty.
