The food was absolutely rubbish no taste and no quality, take them ages to make,and we was only one eating in....overpriced, definitely never will eat again in there...

Me and the misses went out in Royton and had a little food in JLR, food was great but we had one problem. We ordered, eat, asked for the bill and then when I tried to pay cash we was pointed to a small sign on the door saying card only. Luckily enough my partner had her card. We feel they should tell you this at the bar before ordering because what would of happened if we both only had cash.

I booked this bar for my cousins hen night a few week ago (2/7/22) It was amazing!! the staff were fab, friendly, quick service, we waited for nothing, they kept the cocktails flowing and the food was delicious 👌🏼 and we were a group of 25 so they did a fab job making sure we all had our food at the same time! They let me take some decorations in and they set them up for me too! Tia was amazing from start to finish! as was the other waitresses and bar staff on that day! The music was great! had us dancing all night long! 💃🏻 And the doormen were amazing too! 👏🏼 everyone was just so friendly and helpful! We Will defo be back and would definitely recommend the party package to anyone who wants to host a fab fun time! Thank you for making the night amazing!

Came for a roast as it was advertised online. Yet they don’t sell roasts. We decided we are here let’s just eat. Cocktails where great. Food just tasted of salt we didn’t even eat it. Will not be returning

Great cocktails, good atmosphere sunday - thursday, they do this thing where it turns into a sort of “club” on friday and saturday, way too small of a venue for that, takes ages to get a drink and really cramped. love clubbing but its just not the place for it, all staff are extremely lovely to anyone thats not looking to start something, if youve heard bad things about the staff, its from people that probably needed to just go home. Again, the cocktails are all made fresh with generous amounts of alcohol, as they probably should with the price of them 😄 great 2 for 1 cocktail deal sun - thurs too.

Staff very friendly good atmosphere

We visited JLR unplanned but glad we visited as the staff went the extra mile for my family. Took our two boys to go swimming but our eldest was hungry so we decided to find somewhere to eat in Royton. Located on the high street we noticed JLR and popped in. Immediately as we entered we got greated by the staff who seemed really nice and welcoming. The restraunt had some character and some cool decor. Very spacious and had a nice vibe to the place. We ordered the classic burger, chicken sandwich and the chicken goujons for my eldest son. We also enquired about tost for our 7 month old who is baby led weaning and the staff did this for is. Was over the moon with this as it was not on the menu. Food was excellent and the menu had a lot to chose from. Would satisfy most. Will deffo visit again.

Brilliant quiz night. Staff, especially Charlotte and Harry, very friendly. But avoid the red wine . Yuk!!

Amazing day watching The Abbarettes, Harrison went above and beyond to not only make the day special with his service and politeness but handled our large group of demanding women really well !!! Keep up the hard work guys.

First time in JLR and my god what an atmosphere, Logan the barman was incredibly helpful and friendly!

Just been for pre gig meal and the food was so good. Charlotte was really friendly (as were all the staff) and helped with directions too for us. Will definitely be back when next in Royton.

Such a nice atmosphere, the cocktails are amazing, I'd 100% recommend the cocktail making sessions that they host where you pick 4 cocktails to make and learn about the history with a break in the middle for food which is included, the food is incredible too I loved the salt and pepper chicken and the halloumi fries, can't wait to come back!!

Amazing cocktail making class and professional, friendly staff. The vibe is relaxed and cosy while also being lively and fun for all ages! Would 100% recommend if your looking for tasty food and fairly priced drinks. All around a great place to go in royton!

Harry was absolutely amazing going above and beyond. Brilliant bar staff, made frozen daiquiri when not on menu. If promotions are available then I would recommend Harry.

Door staff grabbed my son by the throat, in unprovoked attack. I reported this to the management, ask them to check cctv. Uninterested avoid this place.

Had a great night cocktail making. Great history of each cocktail and the spirits used and the nibbles were delicious.

Recently went for cocktail making session - had a great night. The barman hosting the session was very well informed about each cocktail’s origin. Night Included making 4 delicious cocktails. Enjoyed the hot finger foods served partway through the session. Would definitely recommend this as a fun night.

Comedy night was brilliant, food was dreadful and the service was unbelievably awful

Called in for relaxing drink . Couldn't talk to each other music volume well over the top. groups of jack the lads felt uneasy bit like the wild west. The door staff like the old bouncers acting like they are the most important people around . 1st and last time .

Food was nice. A lot of younger adults though. Felt a bit old.

Giving 1 star is a real compliment. Avoid this place at all cost do not bother putting down your card details to book this place because they will rob you regardless and charge you £10 per head despite the T&Cs stating it is only if you do not turn up. Even when we contesting this the following day their T&Cs magically changed when disputing an £80 charge, literally ludicrous, well their loss they missed out on £500+ worth of drinks also glad this happened because the cocktails tasted like seasoned dish water.

Felt like a school canteen. Awful place. Drinks tasted strange and not how you would expect them to be. Manager uses any excuse to scam more money out of you. Don’t go there

Booked a table of 8 for a night of drinks, arrived at 19:45 and ordered first round of drinks, manager came over to inform us that without ordering food we would be charged £10 per head for sitting and drinking without food, however it was too late to order food as he didn’t come over until 20:10. Nothing in the terms and conditions regarding a £10 charge for not eating , only for not turning up! Very unprofessional. Plus the cocktails were disgusting, worst pina colada I’ve ever had.

Went to JLR Bar today. Shocking service. 45mins waiting for a drink. The girl said order didn't go through on ipad. Bar seems to be run by a load of teenagers who don't know what there doing. Had to ask for food menu 4 times. Eventually food arrived which was ok but wouldn't recommend or would go back as very poor service .

Got a fantastic vegan burger from here on just eat many months ago but looks like it doesn't deliver with just eat anymore. Why do you not do any delivery or carryout anymore?

Good venue for meals coffee afternoon drinks etc. Relaxed atmosphere. Well cooked meals especially the full English!

If I could give - star then I would give -5 star. Food wouldn't fill a twig. To get a drink you would have to be a twig and about aged 15 to get the waiters attention..£80 for 2 more like £40 worth beware don't go there!!!

What a shamble! H&S out the window no wonder one of the staff tested positive a few weeks ago! Live music way too loud all staff agreed, could not hear door staff to book in. 1st error staff dropped mask to speak. Sat at the table could not hear the staff over the live music 2nd error staff dropped the mask to speak! Asked for the manager as could not hear my company across the table 3rd error having to shout across the table and to the staff. Even the security agreed the music was too loud defeating the object of masks (therefore spitting and spredding) and no one enforcing the use when moving around. Had to ask for a pen to mark on the menu our order because we could not hear ourselves or tell the staff what we wanted. Received a call saying we had not turned up for our table. Tapas food came incorrect got 2 we did not order had to yell to the staff over the music to say not the right order and wait for new dishes to turn up. Will not be visiting again anytime soon

Good food and good table service until they start to get busy and then there does not seem to be enough staff or any system. Long wait to check out then no bill just told the amount we had to pay and the staff member had no knowledge of the free additional cake to take away after you have bought one. Will go again but early doors for a better experience.

I want to give this place no stars, but can't post the review unless I give it 1. Worst breakfast experience I've ever had. Waited ages for the food, even though the restaurant was practically empty due to coronavirus restrictions. When it eventually arrived it was cold. Informed the staff who offered to get me another breakfast, but given I'd been in the place for an hour and had things to do, I declined. No refund was offered as you have to pay up front! Just shocking, I'll never eat here again! Avoid, unless you have nothing else to do in your day.

Most enjoyable meal. Perfectly cooked steak & the chips were the best ever. The staff were friendly & professional. Can't wait to go again. Thank you to all.

Moved to the area just before lockdown. Got out for my first night out in ages (due to being a single mum amongst other things) and this place is so clicky. Felt like an outsider and completely unwelcome

Service was pretty slow, waited over an hour for a steak that was a bit overcooked and dry.

Ordered the vegan breakfast. It’s probably the most expensive breakfast I have had in Oldham. It was poor quality. Cold sausages and the bread was hardly toasted. I don’t mind the price as long as the food is good. But the food was horrible

Placed a couple of orders from JLR and not been disappointed, just need to point out that we had a delivery this morning to work which was Eggs Florentine..very nice indeed... but we could have done with knife and forks. 🍴

Thought my experience would've been better. Average food, staff were rude especially management. Given one star review as can't give no star reviews.

Nice and welcoming, a few vegan items on the menu. We got the vegan fried rice which was nice, parents got the meat and potato pie which they really enjoyed. Very reasonably priced. I'd give five stars if there was a vegan dessert available!

Didn't enjoy the food,ate around 8.00pm far too loud, couldn't have a conversation.
