Wow! Absolutely fantastic. Great choice of food and all 4 of us enjoyed every mouthful. We'll definitely be back. 10/10

Stopped for a quick drink while out for a walk. The restaurant and bar appear as part of the golf club. But not exclusive to the club. Drink was a reasonable price, and the service was friendly. Drank outside with a view of the golf course.

Visited here for a coffee and some cake, excellent coffee with a fantastic scone. I will return soon but next time I'll have my clubs with me

We can recommend the breakfast here. Bacon and sausage very tasty and lots of it. The coffee was also just right. Lovely views from the table which made the walk up the hill from Pitlochry worthwhile. We will definitely visit again when staying in Pitlochry.

Nearing the end of a 10km hike this pub emerged and beckoned us in. The service was fantastic, the food was decent "golf clubhouse" food and you get to watch how well positioned the creek is on 18 as it collects ball after ball throughout your meal. All around a decent stop (and lunch prices are cheaper than right in Pitlochry.

We stopped in a coffee and a cake, both when excellent. We will be back for some food next time.

415pm so I wasn't sure if I'd have late lunch or early dinner. I didn't have either. After waiting some rime for service of the lady before. Staff greeted and served 2 men as they walked in the door. Spent my $$$ elsewhere

We had our Golden Wedding Anniversary at the Red Deer, can’t thank them enough for making it a special night for us, the food and the service was great, perfect place for a party, everyone was raving about it. And the price…….couldnt believe how reasonable it was.

We are regular visitors to pitlochry and always enjoyed the golf club, both to play golf and eat in the restaurant, but unfortunately on our last two visits it has been disappointing. The 1st time in September we were told there was limited choice for breakfast ie no eggs etc. And this morning on arrival before we checked in our hotel we tried again only to be told there was no chef so only bacon rolls. What's going on with the catering at the club. ??

Visited the restaurant for a birthday lunch today. Food allergies catered for - great communication in advance by Charlie. Good choices on the menu and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Dog friendly and plenty of room for a pram too. Great service and a relaxed atmosphere.

Shocking attitude booked table for 5pm and due to circumstances beyond our control we were 15mins late ..turned up and someone was hoovering and when we asked about our reservation ..he rudely said your late the kitchen is closed!! Rude and no understanding that we had a newborn and traffic.....after trying to explain that we had to stop for feeding...he couldn't care less Rude and a joke working in customer service 😡😡😡

Booked for a family meal prior to visiting the Enchanted Forest. Staff were lovely, very friendly and the food we ordered was super tasty with large portion sizes and was well worth booking the October Feed the Family Meal Deal for £60 in advance. We went on a Sunday and carvery was also available. Definitely worth a visit!

Empty restaurant but a party of 15 and so told to expect slow service but information could have been delivered better. Fully understanding of busy times and a wait but came across as quite rude.

Amazing curried parsnip soup followed by a ginormous, fresh fish and chips served by Milo. Great service and chat, in the background an enjoyable soundtrack. And the view … spectacular

Average food and service for the money. Don't buy the wine. It's extortionate. Won't be returning any time soon. Sorry.

Wonderful stop off after a long walk. In a beautiful position sit outside and watch the golf. Fabulous food and great coffee. Very helpful happy staff 😀

Great little find been to Pitlochry many times over the years, dozens of times. never even knew the golf club and restaurant was even there, service was great and the food was sublime and what a view, highly recommended

1st class , food, service, course a bit hilly but as used a buggy made our day much easier, pity our golf was not up to par, but not 1 little thing to say anything bad about. We really enjoyed our day. Thanks to staff at the Red Deer

Fantastic pub food in beautiful surroundings. Warm and very friendly service. We had a really great time ! I simply don't understand why it is not rated 5 out of 5, it truly deserves it.

Always go here when in pitlochry or blair atholl. Food is amazing. Prices good and lovely staff. In every day for brunch when we are up there. Fab golf shop too will be back next week. Thank you.

Went in for lunch for two, food on menu are very overpriced for pub food. Waited 50 minutes for a soup and chicken steak which didn’t arrive so paid for drinks and left.

Over priced poor standard food. Poor pub food in a lovely setting. Disappointing. £25 for a tough steak. Chilli was bland. Chips were good. Unless you're playing golf, don't bother with the restaurant.

had a sunday dinner, broccoli was undercooked and hard had to ask for more gravy as was hardly any, dinner was warm got cold quickly. ordered desserts sticky toffee pudding and kids got ice cream which took 20 minutes to come. staff were lovely but just wasn’t up to standard unfortunately. food very over priced £15.00 for a luke warm dinner.

Staff pleasant, food took forever to come and was cold when it finally came with the parsnip almost raw and for the experience the food is very overpriced. Disappointing

Absolutely lovely. We took 6 residents from the local care home out for lunch and the staff could not have been more welcoming. Food was gorgeous and the residents had a lovely time. Thank you.

Diner gegeten bij aankomst in Pitlochry. Zeer vriendelijk ontvangen. We kozen uit de speciale van de dag. Zalm met tagliatelle en varkensvlees gevuld met spinazie. Zeer lekker voor een dagschotel en veel te grote portie. We waren tevreden!

Had an early evening meal here with other members of our walking club. Excellent food and service. Even allowed our dog in (dog friendly). All Covid precautions observed. Highly recommended. Great location up some winding roads away from the crowds and bustle of Pitlochry Town centre.

Only had sandwich and a drink but it was delicious. Although it was quite busy food came quite quickly and David who served us was very friendly.

Well located and furnished beside the 1st tee at Pitlochry golf club. Superb views to surrounding hills - stunning scenery. Good choice of snacks and drinks. SUPERB.

We love to visit out of the ordinary places when we travel. Cargill clubhouse isn't out of the ordinary but alittle out of the way of a normal traveler. We decided to walk up hill to this golf course/restaurant since it was Friday fish fry night. We we're not disappointed. The atmosphere was fantastic...night club like. We could relax and enjoy a drink before dinner without loud music. The food was great and the wait staff took good care of us. They gave us their recommendations and made sure all was well without being overbearing. If you are ever in Pitlochry, Scotland take the time to eat here!
