Fantastic food, amazing flavours and such a different choice, not your run of the mill Indian restaurant! The staff have been so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly both times we have been, and their recommendations always hit the mark. Will be regulars back here for sure!

Love this place! If you have not tried South Indian food, this is the place to go. The food is exceptional, amazing spices and flavours. We try to have different dishes each time we go and always enjoy the variety of the menu. The team are great, always offering to make hot, medium or suggesting dishes to accompany your meal. Give this place a try and you will discover a whole new world of amazing Indian food!

The owner and staff made a birthday celebration one to remember. The vegetarian selection was very tastey; the relatively small variety ensures the items are freshly prepared - none of the half prepared menus that may be found elsewhere or an apparently huge selection where most use the same base sauce. The staff were courteous and very accommodating to our needs. Off-menu variations were craeated at our request. Thank you to the management and staff of ReChilliezs. We hope to come again, again!

One of the nicest dining experiences we've had. A unique menu , excellent quality food. The most delicious homemade breads and desserts. Beautiful decor, lovely friendly staff, passionate about their traditional home cuisine. Thoroughly enjoyed hearing about Kerala and all the wonderful ingredients too Next visit from Wales, I'll be back. Thankyou.

Best Indian restaurant by far. We've been going here for special occasions for years. A real treat for your taste pallete. Absolutely delicious food. My favourite drink is the mango lassi and the milk appams are divine if you have a sweet tooth.

One of the finest place I ever visited in UK, Had a Salmon Mango Fish curry was a wonderful Salmon curry I ever had. The staffs are very coperative amd helpful.

Delicious food. Had thalassery chicken biriyani and mango lussy. Biriyani rice is well cooked with enough masala, served with poppadom, raita and pickle.chicken pieces are fried enough. Mango lussy is fantastic, not thick with cardamom flavour. Not many rice varieties like dum biryani or fried rice etc . Good service from the owner and the staff. Affordable restaurant. Provides alcohol, wine etc. The menu is good looking and arranged well.

Amazing Keralan food. Lovely kind service. The fish was super fresh and perfectly cooked! I'll happily travel here from London for the appams and the fish curry.

The best fish masala ever and the prawn 65 was the best prawn in batter dish. Unbelievable taste. No need to travel so far to Eastham for Kerala dishes, this place is the ultimate. My family & I loved it with graceful hospitality. Also try the paratha, totally outstanding.

This is not standard Indian food. No generic bright red chicken Tikka massala here. Last night Jaimon recommended a fish dish called Neendakara men and Alleppey Kozhi mappas my fish dish was without doubt the most delicious Indian meal I have ever had. My wife and I can't wait to return.

My first visit - but not my last... pictured are the deliciously light, non-greasy, tasty onion bhajis - to follow, I had coriander chicken, lemon rice and porotta... I dove straight in and was so delighted with my choices that I forgot to take a photo... we had a spinach and coconut dish to accompany it that paired well with my chicken, everything felt home-cooked fresh to order... I couldn't fault it and would highly recommend... was delighted to see carrot halwa on the dessert menu but was too full to try it this time round... it's a must next time as I have a feeling it won't disappoint!!

Had to wait for our food once ordered, but we got in late and the wait was worth it. Veg Aviyal tasted so good, it was tough deciphering exactly what they were. The Lamb Piralan was tender and spiced perfectly. The parothas were fluffy and soft. The Fish Pepper Salt was crisp and full of flavour.

Best Indian in leigh and southend area in my view, based on beef edi irachi, which was perfect balance of spice and great depth, and prawns 65 - both starters. Service a little slow but never in a rush to turn covers

Authentic South Indian / Kerala restaurant in Leigh on Sea

Red Chilliezs is a special restaurant, amazing food and incredible people. We have been many times and enjoyed the food so much we asked Jaimon and his team if they would cater our wedding. 90+ guests were blown away with the incredible food they supplied, as well as the great service. They also were very accommodating with allergies within the party and made individual dishes to make sure everyone was well catered for. We’re so happy that Red Chilliezs were a part of our day, and will keep going back to relive all of those amazing dishes! Thank you.

I love Red Chilliezs. The best South Indian food in Essex AND the best curry too. Hands down! The dosa are great. And the aubergine curry supreme. Brown rice too. Wow. Do try the vada. They're fantastic. The staff are wonderful, super helpful. We're going tonight, before a show at the Palace. The perfect way to start the evening. But we've been on Christmas Eve in the past. Such delicious food I have had from Red Chilliezs I have no words to express This is the best South Indian restaurant in the UK(according to me). I had thalasserry biriyani and porotta and beef curry.Each and every simple thing was provided was so yummy🤤 (including the salad and pickle).we went after 10 pm, but all the staffs were very good. Last time, I took the food take away. I wish I could come again to the restaurant and have the food.(All the way from Horley). This is the first time I am writing review Thank you so much for such a wonderful food You are really amazing

Chose this place for a date, and the food was excellent. When ordering, we were not rushed and questions about the menu were explained in a friendly and enthusiastic manner. The dishes were tailored in terms of chilli level, from a scale of 1-10, I went with the 10, and it didn't disappoint. It was packing a lot of quality heat. Every item we ordered was of high quality. The masala chai was lovely. Looking forward to my next visit and ordering a 12/10 chilli dish 😅- though I may order it with some ice cream 😀. An excellent find, highly recommended!

We ate here before we went to the palace theatre wow what amazing food!! We love Indian food and this was really nice to have authentic Indian food. Especially loved the side dish of spinach with coconut so different and tasty! Service excellent and good at explaining dishes, wasn’t busy we went early and on a Wednesday night. If you like Indian food you’ll love it here!

As a family we only eat fish & we are normally limited but here we had soo much choice & but just the usual options. The owner talked us through the differences & flavours etc. amazing food We will definitely be going back soon

My husband loves Indian food, I have become a bit bored of it all. Went out under sufferance and because it was a different menu. I had the gobi cauliflower to start which is lovely, then I had the chicken biryani with the paratha, it is the best biryani I have ever had and the best bread, it had spice and so much flavour and was also really light. Absolutely delicious and I will definitely return again. The only thing that would make it better would be linen napkins rather than paper.

Loved it here. The owner is really passionate about the food. The food was stunning. You won’t find your usual menu items here but go there willing to be guided.

What a delicious find. The food here is 10/10. Visiting family for Christmas we were looking for an authentic South Indian meal as a break from the leftovers and are glad that we did. We were welcomed with handshakes and brought into Red Chilliezs by the owner who was very helpful and suggested dishes he thought we would like. We ordered poppadoms and chutneys, 2 starters, 3 mains and two sides which was enough for the three of us. The Lamb Dosa was particularly good as was the Coriander Chicken. My only suggestion for an improvement would be to dim / soften the lighting which was a little too bright and white - would be better to have warmer yellow lightbulbs to improve the ambiance.

There are very few options for Indian restaurants in Southend, and this one is good. It was delicious and tasted authentic kerela style.

The food was amazing, the spiciness and the flavours were on point. Highly recommended if you are in the area or if you make a trip just for the food, you will not be disappointed.

The food here is not your standard Indian as it is keralan. Food was so good we're going back Christmas day for dinner.

Yesterday's dining experience at Redchilliezes last night was a delight, and they live up to my expectations each time I visit RedChilliezs. I had to share the love! 😍 Food - We are ten, and 🍽️ Each dish was an absolute masterpiece. The flavours were spot on. I couldn't get enough of their Veg Khorma, Ghobi 65, Coriander chicken, Fish and Rice! Pure bliss! 😋 The RedChilliezs, their Chef, Martin and the entire team deserve a shoutout. I will look forward to my next stop at RedChilliezs again.

Online food order for Travamcore mutton curry, chicken biryani chapati. Over all food was excellent with regards to available resources. First time enjoyed the curry flavors and tenderness of meat in.curry out here in Southend. Biryani was good and was well garnished was surprised to find juicy chciken thighs In it. Nice looking restaurant inside, friendly staff, not busy when we went there midweek. Disappointing food overall really. Expensive main course dishes considering how much chicken/ prawns were given. Different from your usual Indian food in a good way but on the whole not value for money.

Used to be very good but has gone majorly downhill. Ordered 3 different dishes for 35 to take away and received 3 watered down things that all looked and tasted exactly the same, and to add insult to injury, the tiny plastic containers were only about half full of the liquidy slop. Flavourless as well. Don't recommend and take your money to Yak and Yeti. Down the road and WAY BETTER FOOD AND VALUE.

Great food and service to match. I ordered from the takeaway menu this time round. I have previously dined here but that was pre Covid. This is a very expensive Resturant in comparison to other Indian restaurants in the area. Grandma chicken curry Coriander Chicken Aloo Gobi This small order was close to £40 and apart from the aloo gobi, the portion of the other dishes were small. I didn’t realised at the time but after reviewing the menus, I can definitely see that there was an error with the price. Too late now though!

Amazing food! Brilliant atmosphere! The owner makes you feel so welcome and is always happy to explain how the dishes are cooked and gives you a good idea of what to expect if you are unsure of what to order. This is a hidden gem! They also have tables and chairs outside to enjoy a drink or two on a warm summer evening.

Enjoyed the Dosa meal today but the prices are double that of other places we have had Dosa. Even Saravanaa Bhavan served us fresh crispy dosas - half the price and more variety of chutney with it. But, to be fair though the Food was fresh but to pay over the top !!! I will have to reconsider my decision to go again

First time here. Wonderful delicious food and the service was excellent. I had a fish curry in a banana leaf. Fish was tender and tasty. Will certainly go again.

My daughter and her bf, who are both Vegan had been nagging me to try out this Goan restaurant in Westcliff for some time. I can only say huge praise for the range of dishes and quality of Indian options. I tried a potato Dosa as starter and Green Mango white fish as a main, with Okra and a special rice as sides. It was all outstanding. The best Indian food I have ever tasted. The owners who are also servers on the night I went, are excellent hosts. A huge gem locally.

We are so lucky to have this level of Keralan cuisine available in Southend. Every flavour and spice tastes fresh and clear in this food, you can taste the pride and care taken in preparing every dish we have tried so far. There is a good variety of dishes on the menu to explore. Our favourites are the dosas of course, the gobi (cauliflower) 65, the kappa (tapioca), perfect spirally paratha and all of the fish dishes. This is not a boring Anglo-indian curry house, this is a slice of proper regional South Indian cuisine which is so much lighter with refined distinct flavours, yet very satisfying.

Ordered beef fry and pepper chicken as a takeaway. The food tasted good, however the portion size to say it was extremely disappointing would be an understatement. The food came in a small box and when even that small box is half full and you get charged £13.95 for it, you cannot help but complain. Not ordering from here again

Went here for a last minute early dinner and can safely say it was a delicious meal the food is outstanding and the staff were so friendly and talked me theough any menu questions. The food tasted clean and didn't get that bloat feeling. We went on a Monday so very quiet which was a bonus but I've driven past later in the week and it's so busy . My fav new restaurant

Visited the restaurant on the 1st day of the New Year. Pros 1) The wait staff was very friendly and polite. 2) The food was nice. Particularly the Appams and the Prawn 65. 3) The Butter Chicken and Chicken 65 was good too. 4) Much better than other Indian Restaurants like Gulshan or Mamataz Grill who serve rubbish food. Cons 1) The chicken biryani was nothing to talk home about. 2) The dishes are little on the pricier side considering the portions. Verdict: Definitely visit for good Indian Food with great Indian hospitality.

Me and my wife have been waiting for red chillis to open back up again for a long while and we wasn’t disappointed when we went for dinner the other night. The food was amazing, especially the prawn 65, a must have! And the staff are so friendly and polite. A lovely atmosphere for food and wine, we love this place and so will you.

Extremely good food. The only genuinely Malayalee restaurant for miles around. Very friendly staff. Parking can be slight problem. The menu could do with a bit more variety. Slightly pricey compared to other curry places, BUT, do not think if this as just another curry house. Definitely recommend!

Curry club boys went to Red Chilliezs , and wow what a refreshing experience with great food great staff and being 7 of us that evening we all had something different , we can all say all the dishes where superb . Hats off to the chef and staff at Chilliezs, WE WILL BE BACK 😁

Nice to have south Indian food on offer - the dosas are large and there’s a lot of variety. Dosas could be a little crispier and the chutneys and accompaniments need more spice ‘zing’ but service is good and the restaurant is clean.

Great place to have authentic south Indian (Kerala) cuisine. Have been eating out there many a times. Food is very tasty, some thing like Grandma's chicken curry tastes like home made and delicious. Service is great. I would highly recommend it.
