Really tasty authentic Chinese Szechuan cuisine. Highly enjoyable

The food and service was fantastic, there was a huge array of dishes to pick from aswell as being very authentic. All in all a very enjoyable meal

WOW absolute one of my favourite Chinese restaurants everytime I go for gig in Manchester academy I have stop for a meal. Food is really authentic and delicious also good prices, very nice decor and good professional service. I'll definitely will be back to try all of the meals. Keep up good work. I would recommend for anyone who like proper Chinese food not westernised sweet dishes.

A really good Chinese restaurant. I'm no expert, but in my opinion the restaurant offers an authentic experience of traditional Chinese dining in the UK. The menu has two sections, distinguishing Chinese dishes from Anglo-Chinese ones; furthermore, the clientele is made up of 90% Chinese. I was very satisfied with the portions, which were more than generous.

The staff were completely unprofessional with the way they handled our order. They gave us the wrong food and had the audacity to add the wrong order to our bill. The food was too salty and greasy it lacked taste. Avoid this place at all costs.

We picked this Chinese pure and simply because it was across the road from Manchester Academy where we were to watch a gig, I briefly looked at Restaurants close by and this popped up. In that way we kinda got lucky, and the only disappointment was having to rush to leave the restaurant. My wife liked it that much she reorded a dish a couple of days later for takeaway.

Me and two others went for some food. There was a huge language barrier between the servers and ourselves, and they were visibly annoyed by this. It almost felt like we were an inconvenience. Asian people were preferised and served first even after coming 15-20 minutes after us. Our orders all came in at different times and they forgot mine, I ordered the beef ramen but they brought me a prawn noodle dish and I advised I never asked for this to be met with an eye roll and a huge sigh. Others had already finished their meals when I finally got mine. Food was average, and the service was terrible.

The New Year's Eve dinner costs 188 pounds for nine people, 20 pounds per person. It's really a good deal if you come with a large number of people. If you want to eat roast duck, be sure to call in advance to make a reservation. The service is very good. There are dishes from all over the world, and they are well cooked and served. Come soon, I’ll come back next time for dinner.

I went to this Chinese restaurant near university on the other day and it was awesome! The staff are very nice and give me some great recommendations for the food and drinks. First i am a student in Manchester University, the location for me is close to me for my lecture secondthe food and service are great Because i am from Sichuan the spices city of china and here the spicy food is really make me feel like I was back to my home in the day time i go to uni i will come for lunch and at the night some times me and my friends will come here as well Because they have a vip room is a 24 people big round table so it can be reuion friends. In the shop the environment is nice and clean also the staff are friendly. So i am recommend come to the shop and try it.

No.8 Red chill is my favorite Chinese restaurant! It boasts a distinctly Chinese decor and provides excellent service, creating an authentic and enjoyable dining experience. My favorite food:Beijing Roast Duck 👨‍🍳boneless and with crispy skin, offers a delightful combination of tender, juicy meat. Served with thin strips of green onions, cucumber, and a sweet hoisin sauce, ❤️❤️❤️it's my absolute favorite when wrapped in thin pancakes. ！！！and u can choose Chinese broth(free)which will come with pecking duck!

I go to red chili every week!!! It is near UOM and MMU！ It offers a lunch set at £10 per person with diverse and delicious choices. My classmates and I love it for the variety. Besides, the ambiance and service are excellent. A must-try is their fantastic fruit tea and coffee – incredibly tasty! Try the coffee and home drink please!please!

Service is quick and fast. Most of the staffs are friendly too. For some reason, I don’t feel the seasoning here is well authentic and balance enough, compare to the other Red Chili at Manchester China Town. Rice is also too dry and not really calling the appetite as an Asian. Atmosphere was okay, just the table is not well organize, or maybe too dark. But it didn’t bother much.

The fried cumin Lamb Ribs is a must have. The staff was very nice and helpful when he saw me panicking what to order because is lot of food look so good and don’t know what to order, he ask me the what flavour and meat I like then he recommended me this dish. An excellent restaurant with delicious food

Awful restaurant, wished I hadn't gone. Although the visual appeal of the restaurant is great, the service was terrible, rude staff, especially our waitress. Food came out after asking several times and 45 minutes after we ordered, and one of our mains was missing. The restaurant wasn't busy and there were plenty of staff stood around not doing much. Food wasn't terrible, but nothing amazing you couldn't get for half the price from your local Chinese takeaway

The food is ok nothing special. The service is really poor. We waited 45 minutes for our food to come out. Others that came after us had starters and mains and we were still waiting. Plenty of other decent places near by.

This is the first time I can think of that a restaurant has refused to serve me because of allergies - it's 'too complicated' apparently. Very unusual when most restaurants have such good allergen policies these days.

Went for lunch with a friend. The place was clearly popular with Chinese people. We had the cheap lunch deal, one aubergine and pork dish and one spicy mutton dish. Both were excellent, just the right quantity for lunch and tasty. As it was busy the service was slightly slow, but not problematically so.

Unfortunately, the food gave me a bad stomach about 40 minutes after eating it. I had pork and cabbage dumplings and onion pancake. I will take notice of food hygiene ratings in the future; it’s currently 2/5. Eek!

This is last time I bothered with this restaurant. It has deteriorated steadily over the years and is only a shadow of itself from when it forts opened. Interior is tired and long overdue makeover. Menus were dirty and seen better days. Food was nothing special, takeaway quality. Greasy floor in bathroom. Never again

It was a couple of years ago since our last visit to this very good Chinese restaurant and we had a good time. It is the wrong side of town for us really, but we decided to make the effort to go there and it was worth it. we arrived mid evening on a Friday and it was ticking over. It was good to see it was mainly Chinese people eating there as we took it as a sign of authenticity. The service from Sam was excellent and very helpful. We had the chicken with celery which was very good, deep-fried shredded beef which was excellent and prawns with cashew nuts. The portions are of a good size, and we took at least half back home as a takeaway! The wine list is limited, but the one we had was good and they have an interesting range of beers.

My first time here as I usually go to the other Red Chilli. I asked if they had halal alternatives and was provided with a separate halal menu which we ordered from. Prices were reasonably and service was good and so were the portion sizes.

The service Red Chilli is good, the staff were welcoming. The salt and pepper crispy wings were on point. The spicy cold chicken is a no-go for me, cold chicken isn’t for me. The chow Mein was also good, the portion size very good. Overall worth a try.

Last time I went I gave it 2 stars, I returned yesterday and agree with that. It's not that the food is bad, but the service is just bad, the same thing happened both times. We ordered an item, something arrived that didn't look like what we ordered, we asked if we could have the thing we ordered as it was obviously not right and were told that this was the item we ordered. We got the bill and we were right, we had been given something else. I don't mind mistakes, but getting lied to is a little much and then paying for the privilege is the real kicker. I wouldn't mind but they also billed us for additional drinks, but I should have spotted that before I left.

The foods are pretty good, but I don't feel comfortable with their service. One of the waiter seems to have no patience for our questions. Fortunately, the waitress helps us a lot.
