This cafe is lovely and has a nice calming environment! It was busy but we managed to get a table. It was slow service however for christmas time and a busy Saturday its to be expected and not a negative at all. The coffee was delightful and the food amazing! (The sausages were so good!!!) My friend really liked the beef broth too :) Overall really lovely, really good prices! All served in amazing rainbow crockery too !!

Went with family for breakfast. I ordered the beans on toast with vegan cheese. It was supposed to be on a thick bread, but seemed to be made on a super market bought thin bread and no spread on it either, so was dry. Things were otherwise ok however. Looks like the Linda Bellos picture has gone, which is a good thing as she isn't a fan of trans people like me!

Stopped here for breakfast. Had the small English. The centre point of any cooked breakfast for me is the sausage and the ones in the breakfast were cheap and tasteless. No visible meat content. The bacon however was ok but the scrambled eggs dry. I would not go back despite it basically having Charitable connections.

A friend and I worked on Bridge Street as Roman tour guides, and we'd frequently come here on our lunch break after finishing school tours during the week. The whole staff at the tearooms always had a smile and great service, it always made such a positive impact after hectic mornings with primary school kids! I always get the same treatment, no matter how busy it is. The food is always lovely, the staff are always kind, and the tearooms are still one of my favourite places to go in Chester!

We went to the Rainbow Tea Rooms for a break in the afternoon. It has a great atmosphere and the waiter is very friendly, the tea was good too. However, the cookies we had were hard and very sugary. When I paid, I saw that some were still frozen in the window display. Are they home-made ? Fortunately they're not expensive (like the rest of the menu).

Excellent cafe. Been here twice before but only for drinks. Today we had cheese on toast and fishfinger sandwiches. Served quickly. Staff are really friendly. Dogs were made to feel welcome. Loved the food and the prices are very reasonable. Our go to cafe in Chester now x

I know but you have to be honest, just saying it as it happened - a Saturday morning, ordered coffee and toasted tea cake. Place not busy, coffee served quickly. The tea cake only appeared after I politely enquired as to where it was, 20 minutes after ordering - it was then brought to me within 2 minutes, the plate practically thrown at me, with the teacake soaked already with in thick butter - inedible. A horrible experience, 'inclusive' or not...

I always try and fit in a visit to the Rainbow Tearooms when I'm in Chester. It's a very friendly place to dine and the staff are very helpful and conversational. Whether it is breakfast or lunch, the food is good and the prices offer good value. It's always nice to eat there. A nice place with a great vibe.

Friendly welcome, lovely breakfast = perfect start to the day. Only question is: why do they only offer one type of egg, scrambled? Table next to us wanted poached and ended up only ordering a cup of tea, so the cafe lost some business

I have visited here a lot, and find it very relaxing. Had just finished leading a guided tour and ended it near the Cross , a few hundred metres from here. Only wanted a cuppa and something sweet this time so opted for a scone; came warm with butter and jam and just hit the spot. Have had toasties and soup here and it doesn't disappoint. It also has a great scheme of " pay it forward", so that you can buy a meal/snack/drink and they then put the card in the window with what you have chosen. I am assured that people do come in and ask for the cards, which is great; please visit and do this for those who cannot afford to eat.

Attended Saturday night quiz. Arrived at 7:00pm. Started with a glass of red wine and Mediterranean platter followed by a to die for cheesecake( all food freshly cooked by Jason ( chef ) and the team. Wolfed the cheese cake down and realised I hadn't took a picture. Had a few more vino's during the quiz along with some banter with Jason and the regular customers. All tables were booked and nice to see a full house. Made a change to the average Saturday night and will certainly do it again. Would recommend to call in prior for some brekky or lunch to book quiz any day before or on Saturday. Quiz moved on quicker than your normal pub quiz which was great with the light banter and no typical interruptions from pub scene. Didn't win the quiz but enjoyed trying.

The best Italian restaurant in Chester! First time I came here, I had the Margarita pizza, it was cooked to perfection. Today, I had the lasagne, it was without a doubt, the best lasagne I have ever tasted! If you’re in Chester and want to taste genuine Italian food, go to Sergio’s, 11/10 would recommend to anyone❤️

Our favourite place to come for brunch after football. The team, as always, went above and beyond with the orders for our family (all with different dietary requirements). The boys had the classic big breakfast with local products at a great price. I tried the weekend special eggs Benedict and it was amazing. The boys filled their boots. The girls enjoyed new things. The doorstop toast alone is worth the visit. Sadly, no room for my favourite one the menu - parsnip cake, but the cake-away option meant I could enjoy it later. We brought a friend for their first visit and she was blown away.
