We popped in for a quick drink during the afternoon and loved the atmosphere and small selection of good drinks, cocktails and food (although we didn't eat here what we saw come out of the kitchen looked good). Very friendly and intimate atmosphere

Just enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Great food, wonderful service, cosy place, everything a restaurant should be. Highly recommend.

It was our 4th time of eating at Queens & as usual the food was absolutely delicious, the staff were so pleasant, friendly & very helpful & the overall experience was excellent. We're really looking forward to our next visit already which will be very soon. Thankyou Queens 👌🏻❤️

Popped in on spec hungry for breakfast. Lovely cosy atmosphere received a warm welcome from BRENDAN who fitted us in , it was busy. Breakfast was delicious good veggie and vegan options. All food freshly cooked so a bit of a wait but worth it. Waitress was lovely Ola. Loved the bread and toast. Great place for breakfast lunch or dinner.

Been wanted to visit for a long time, and finally made it. The greatest part of the experience for us was the service. Great from start to finish. The food for me, left a little to be desired. Maybe an 8/10. I'll definitely visit again to try something else on the menu. The lamb and lentils felt a little too heavy for me.

If they served shredded cardboard it would have tasted good with Alfie serving it. But it wasn’t cardboard- it was one of the top meals I’ve ever had in my life. Alfredo gently reminded me about the pork belly and I realized that that would be more special that just a ribeye au poivre which I could have anywhere. I am so glad he suggested that instead. It was phenomenal. One of the best things I’ve ever had in a restaurant ever. Let’s talk about dessert. I ordered a chocolate ganache cake with delicious cherry sorbet and a quince crumble. The chocolate ganache was unbelievably good. The cherry sorbet was perfect. I could not believe when I found out the chocolate ganache was not dairy made with coconut milk. It was some sort of alchemy.

Staff, venue and wine selection were excellent. The staff are extremely knowledgeable about the menu and very helpful with any questions. The food was below average unfortunately with 3 of the main dishes for the table lacking any flavour at all. The desserts also not good.

As a local scouser, I'm always keen to avoid the plethora of chain restaurants we have in Liverpool and find little gems off the beaten track. I've dined here a few times previously (all this summer), and everything was on point. I left a glowing review on another platform, chiefly for restaurant reviews only, because I was really happy with everything. So fast forward from the summer to now, and I left disappointed, much to my surprise to be honest. We ordered some focaccia with whipped butter which I've had a few times before and it's lovely. The foccacia is usually served thick (about 3 inches deep, cut into squares) - not on this occasion. It was literally sliced like a supermarket loaf of bread! What the hell happened?! And the butter was just slapped on the plate around the edge - very sloppy presentation overall. I had the steak, frites and peppercorn sauce. £10 supplement for the steak which was to be expected. So all in all, £35. I was really disappointed with the peppercorn sauce. It was of a thin watery consistency and had too many peppercorns. The steak was very nice and cooked to my liking. I received a small bowl of chips. Needless to say, it wasn't worth £35. The sauce let the dish down massively. Moving on.... My mate had the cannelloni, with ricotta and truffle. Initial taste was very nice but it was served very warm - not hot. Also, and more importantly, I could barely taste the pasta. It was so thin, that it didn't feel like a cannelloni dish. The staff are always very pleasant and I love the ambience here, but the food didn't cut it this time sadly. I did very politely remark about these couple of 'disappointments' and in fairness he spoke to the chef- apparently the peppercorn sauce was a new batch and cannelloni wasn't up to scratch. There was no 'sorry we'll take the service charge off ' 'I'm sorry we'll take one of the wines off the bill' - nothing, which i was surprised by to be honest. Sounds like the chef needs changing if I am to be brutally honest..... I did have another booking a few days later for Christmas Eve, but I cancelled it when I got home.

Had a lovely experience! The floor staff were incredibly attentive, especially Holly, Brendan, and Fergus. The food was fantastic. Although my first choice, the pork belly, wasn’t available, the ricotta and truffle cannoli recommended by chefs Cornell and Matt was an excellent alternative. Even Ola and Katie at the bar went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. I will be definitely going back 🥰

In my experience this place is, without doubt, the best "hidden gem" in Liverpool. It is quite similar to the charming, old-fashioned bistros and trattorias I often visit in Italy. The food was exceptional, the wine was fantastic and the conversation with staff and friends alike added to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Even on a Monday night the place was fairly busy, but the staff never once appeared rushed or strained, and the service didn't suffer one bit. I would particularly recommend this place for small groups of family and friends over the Christmas/NY period. I plan on visiting this place a lot more in the future!

Atmospheric wine bar with tasty interesting small plates

Popped in for lunch on a drizzly day and tucked into a wonderful Pork Belly dish on hisbi cabbage with black pudding and the rest of our party had steak with Chimichurri and frites. Relaxed and cosy experience - service friendly. Would recommend.

I would avoid this place at all costs. The owner Lucas is rude, arrogant and lack customer empathy or service. The poor staff look unhappy and the experience we received was shocking. There are much better places all within a few hundred yards of this place.

Excellent visit to Queens pre-theatre! Food was absolutely amazing, presentation was beautiful and the flavours so unique. The wine was recommended and was delicious, and the vibe was perfect despite being between lunch and supper - really friendly and relaxed. All in all recommend!

Wow forget the big boys on castle street this is an amazing personal authentic treat . Simple food cooked to perfection great wine list and cracking service . Could have been in a little back street in Bordeaux! Well done we will be back

Fabulous place. Came for lunch, small menu, we both had the grilled mackerel toasted and with a delicious vichyssoise, followed by stone bass with charred vegetables, sides of potato and hispi cabbage. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. Wine selection good but quite pricey, we has a white rioja. Service was friendly and efficient. Honestly one of the best restaurants we've eaten at.

Came after the reviews and photos on line for the the lunch time menu , service was good the place is in a great location with a nice warmly ambiance, however the foods not as good as I expected , I ordered the lunch special two course £25 steak with £4 additional charge for steak , steak comes without sauce or vegatables and just a handful of salted fries , steak was dry chewy and fatty not the best quality I’ve had , the soup was ok wife had fish of the menu came out approx size of a fish finger and that’s being generous , two drinks pint of draught beer( not a pint ) and house wine £68 not the best value and far better places food wise dotted around liverpool. Would we go again yes but for drinks only.

Supported this lovely bistro from the beginning. Lovely ambiance, staff and food. Unfortunately, we were rudely treated, this afternoon, and made to feel uncomfortable after expressing preference for table, so consequently took our custom elsewhere. Sad.

We came to Liverpool for a weekend away. Went for an evening meal here as walked past and looked cosy. We had an excellent meal, fantastic wine, food was really good- the best steak we’d had for a long time, and great dessert and cocktail. What was really good was the staff, they were welcoming, explained things to us and didn’t rush us, which we appreciate, we would highly recommend it.

Excellent French-inspired bistro in the heart of Liverpool. Simple menu, but expertly cooked. Highly recommend the ribeye with bone marrow béarnaise. Lovely atmosphere and super staff. You won’t be disappointed!

Absolute hidden gem . As you walk in you can feel such a great atmosphere . The staff are so attentative and friendly. The food is the next level, and I've never tasted coffee like it. The G Manager runs a very smooth ship and so organised. We will deffinately be back. Excellent. We'll done .

Queens has been on the go to list for quite a while and so happy it didn't disappoint. This is a venue that really knows about it's food and wine which were both top notch and very reasonably priced for the quality. Intimate setting but does not feel cramped and there's just a lovely vibe to the place. Service was warm and understated so just right. Definitely one of the best places in Liverpool and we've been to most of them!

Had lunch at Queens after reading Jay Rayners glowing review in the Guardian.Its on my doorstep so there is no excuse why I've never been before. Fantastic food, friendly service and nice ambience. Comprehensive menu with vegetarian and vegan options. I had a beautiful cauliflower steak. Good wine list. The set weekday and early evening menu was excellent value for money. Definitely going again

The food was out of this world and the setting was really nice. However because it was Saturday night we waited 1hr 10 minutes to get any food. They did give us some complementary drinks. But the table next to us, who ordered at the same time. Got their starters and mains before we'd received anything. First world problems really

I come here often, quite often, usually unannounced, no booking etc.. These chaps are always accommodating. I live in Liverpool, however work globally. I always make a beeline after I touch down. Best restaurant in Liverpool? Probably 😊

Can’t say enough good things about this place. Amazing food, very special staff, and the perfect vibe for a great night out. We had only two evenings in Liverpool and opted to repeat on our second night. Eat here….you won’t regret it.

I visited Queen’s yesterday for a graduation meal and couldn’t recommend enough. The food was absolutely amazing and the service couldn’t have been better. I’ve dined here quite a few times now and I have had an excellent experience every time. My favourite place to dine in Liverpool by far!

I wasn't impressed at all. I went on a Wednesday night, the kitchen was closed at 21:00 and they told us we could have only starters. You could tell from the body language that the waiter couldn't wait to go home. I ordered four starters, only three arrived. They didn't have focaccia, they proposed to take the sourdough bread, which we did but it was certainly not fresh (at least one day old I would say). The croquettes were good. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Loved this place for a nice chilled afternoon Sunday roast. Had the ham hock which was delicious and we ordered the beed and chicken roast. The red wine was amazing and we had a cheeky port also.... very nice way to end the weekend. Big thank you to Fergus who served us and made the experience even better. The apple crumble we had to share which was good as portion was big - nice because it wasn't over done with sugar. Can't wait to go back to this place.

Popped in for lunch on a rainy Liverpool arvo and so glad we did. Opted for the lunch special, soup with a glass of house red and it was faultless. Very friendly staff and stunning little place, would be perfect for a date night.

Six of us had the Queen’s Breakfast here on a Sunday morning and it was magnificent. We’ve saved it to our favourites and will try it for dinner next time.

We went for a dinner yesterday. It was birthday of my friend and they served us a free drink and a free wonderful dessert. Staff was incredibly kind, probably the best I have seen in Liverpool so far. The atmosphere is great. The food is delicious. 5/5 for a classy dinner!

Beautiful little place in the heart of the city. We stopped for breakfast which was worth every penny. Hearty and tasty to satisfy the hungriest of appetites. Would highly recommend.

Came here with my partner a couple of days before my birthday March 2023. It looks lovely and cozy from the outside and I wanted to try somewhere new and that served good quality food unfortunately I have to say we felt a let down by this especially for the price. For the kind of place it is I expected to pay a little more which I don’t mind when it is worth it. We had the crab starter which we thought sounded interesting as it mentioned it was served on a crumpet. It basically consisted of cold poached egg which was placed on some cold crab paste a top a cold crumpet and it just wasn’t very nice at all and very claggy. For the main we ordered the lamb steak and a side of Pommes Anna as the mains didn’t come with a side or anything which is often the case in these kinds of places but I wasn’t expecting the lamb to come with so little. It was basically a large lamb steak which wasn’t the best quality as well as being quite fatty (and yes I know lamb can be fatty but I have had much better than this for far less) and a handful or two of rocket leaves which had basically seen better days and were turning brown in places along with peppercorn sauce which was the only real thing that had any decent flavour the lamb itself was hard to cut. The Pommes Anna began well but some how managed to become both bland and sickly at the same time. The food really looked nothing like the photos I had seen online, no real shuzz to it or anything I was expecting. The main basically looked like it had been thrown on the plate. We were really disappointed to say the least I’d really hoped for more and this was to be a treat at quite a pricey place. We got a glass of Prosecco each which again was ok but have had better and also ordered red wine to go with the lamb however this took a long time to arrive at the table and came way after the lamb arrived. We are not sure why it took this long because it wasn’t particularly busy. The waitress was generally nice however came across a little rude when she had gone to the table behind us and wished the woman who was there with her boyfriend a happy birthday whilst placing her dessert on the table with a sparkler. My partner commented I wasn’t the only one celebrating my birthday the waitress turned to me and said “oh is it your birthday?” I replied “This is my birthday meal but it is actually in 2 days time” to which she replied back with a flip of the hand “Oh right! Come back then, then” and flounced off! I’m not into being made a fuss off and when it comes to attention on myself I am quite reserved but it just seemed a little off and a little uncalled for, she could have simply wished me a happy birthday for the Saturday. All in all it cost shy of £100 but It is no where near worth it and wouldn’t wish to rush back here!

Very nice restaurant with a romantic atmosphere. Young and helpful staff both in the dining room and in the kitchen. Well-stocked wine list. The menu doesn't offer many alternatives, but I'd say it doesn't matter because the quality of the dishes is high. We had extremely good dishes. A really nice surprise. Kudos to the guys in the kitchen. I will definitely go back.

Fantastic little hidden gem in a cute arcade. Cosy, intimate atmosphere and fab menu. The staff are helpful and attentive, and every course was delicious even the olives were the best I’d ever tasted. It feels (and tastes!) like a lot of care and love goes into preparing each dish. Simply gorgeous and we hope to return soon.

The restaurant was very busy, and it felt like extra tables had been rammed in. It was like sitting in a corridor with diners and staff constantly rubbing past. It was certainly intimate, if your plan is to be intimate with random strangers. Took a long time for our order to be taken which naturally meant the food took a while. The food was okay, not as good as expected, based on previous reviews. The waiting staff worked very hard, in less than ideal conditions (lack of room etc.).

We stumbled across this place when looking for something a bit different and Queen's Wine Bar and Bistro did not disappoint. Great food and friendly service.

Amazing quality breakfast, superb ingredients, perfectly cooked. Homemade baked beans (no sugar loaded supermarket stuff here), whipped spice black-pudding, juicy sausage, streakly bacon, homemade hash browns, proper sourdough. Lovely cosy, place for a coffee and cake.

This place has an incredible atmosphere and is located in charming parisian streets. The food isn't for vegetarians. The fries were the best menu item we tried, but where this place excels is the service, the staff are lovely. It's more expensive than lots of places in the city. However, there's also an affordable lunch menu available from the counter, which is ideal for anyone on a budget.

Visited for breakfast following a rave recommendation from friends who know good food & restaurants. Breakfast only so far but will certainly return for lunch and/or dinner. Breakfast was of a very high standard. French Toast & the smaller full-English with a couple of the best mince pies we've ever had. Pastries are now all in-house apparently. Friendly & efficient service. A hidden gem set in an attractive arcade.

It's been a while since we ate there, and this time it was just for coffee and cake. This is a little oasis off the great Babylon that is Castle Street. We'll go back soon to try the promising selection of beers and light meals.

Consistently good food and reasonably priced. My favourite place for a work lunch as its small and quiet enough for conversation.

Looking forward to seeing you soon. 28 th October Booked a table for our 40 th wedding anniversary 3 pm Saturday 28 th October. Unfortunately when we arrived at 2,45 pm we were told only a limited lunch menu ie jacket potatoes Welsh rarebit ect, was available and that finished at 3 pm. No la carte until 4 pm! No option but to go elsewhere. Dissapointing to say the least,won't be back
