Queen Hotel in Sheffield

Since my previous review in February 2024 the pub has taken steps to control secret vaping inside. There are now multiple signs & notices asking people not to vape inside. Sadly, I witnessed several people ignoring the signs completely & quite happily vaped while sitting directly in front of them. Vapers are oblivious to the fact that people (like myself) with a breathing condition could be right next to them. This could potentially cause issues. Short of employing someone to walk around on patrol, I don’t know what else the pub can legally do. I hope that all the pubs that allow this to go unchallenged have the correct insurance cover.

As per title once again i base my review on customer and staff smoking electronic cigarettes it’s just not the odd person but a free for all the staff are allowing it because they are also doing it! What a load of tramps you all are I’m now going to report this to the health and safety department, The management are not bothered because they are also smoking them as well

Comfortable pub, staff are friendly & welcoming. Good atmosphere but it was spoiled by several customers constantly vaping inside. None of them were challenged about it. There may have been other customers (like myself) in the pub who have some type of breathing condition which vaping can aggravate & if people continue vaping inside then it could create problems. I appreciate that staff can be very busy when the pub is full so they may not have time to challenge vaping immediately but cctv could identify the vapers who could be spoken to at a later time.

Multiple fights outside and inside which made you feel unsafe. A woman was knocked on the ground and punched in the face because of 2 people fighting outside. Young drunk people throwing up everywhere and creating havoc on the street. Very busy and uncomfortable. Definitely putting profits over everything else. We should have realised there would be trouble when they served drinks in a plastic glass. Drugs in the toilets, no toilet roll in the toilet and bottles shoved down the toilet as well. Women going in men’s toilets for alternative reasons Surprisingly the police weren’t there and there should be more security to make you feel safe. Absolutely disgusting and would never visit again

The Queens is a good family pub with a good selection of ales, it’s what you would expect from a village pub, there are telly’s, pools table, good seating and friendly staff,However what spoils it for me is the amount of people who are being allowed to smoke electronic cigarettes, at least four people were doing so on Saturday evening It does need stopping! The photo that I’m showing is one of the culprits, This is a pub I would like to visit more often however I’m giving it a miss for now because of this.
