Food a bit tasteless and too many dogs at one time

Amazing birthday breakfast with family, really clean, friendly staff, did happy birthday song and cake, made my day, thank you

Thought we would give this place a try. Unusual setting in an industrial unit, but benefits from parking right outside the door. Called on a Saturday and it was pretty busy, and also pretty noisy. Quite a few younger families and groups. Managed to get a table not far from the open door, which was quite chilly. I ordered the pancakes which were lovely, covered in fresh fruit. The only downside is they were a little cold. Partner had the large cooked breakfast, slightly greasy and obviously pre cooked. Prices were competitive, so on the whole not bad value.

sorry to leave a less than favourable review, but after waiting in a long line, I didn't fancy the look of the food which all looked a bit greasy (I have never seen mushy beans before). The croissant was stale and the coffee tasted very instant like. Again sorry for the less than glowing review

Little bit hard to find, as it is in a business estate, signs are up but not visible from all directions. A cafe with a difference, loverly leather seats with very nice tables, food was great and tasty

Just delivered to MKM building supplies and had breakfast roll and salad box off your delivery van it was one of the best boxes I've had absolutely crammed full with chicken and ham and cheese all fresh and tasty👍wish I lived local would be in your cafe all the time ***** Kevin

Popped in for breakfast on a rainy Wednesday morning. Very pleasant environment, extensive menu which also caters for veggies and vegans. Very dog friendly too, with 2 dogs in there when I visited. Would highly recommend!

We were told we couldn’t order coffee as the person serving had “already done the coffee machine”. Place closes at 3 but appears to stop serving over half an hour before that. Disappointing.

great place, great food. there is also a secure area for your bikes. we stopped off here for some lunch while on a bike ride. atmosphere is great

As a field service engineer travelling all of the UK this cafe tops them all from the food to the toilets. A hidden gem. The staff can not do enough for you really friendly.

What a lovely place to eat with your four-legged family members! Great food, friendly, helpful staff, relaxed, warm atmosphere. Beats being stuck in dark a corner in a pub away from the most comfortable seats and the best views!!

A visit to one of favourite cafes in Nottingham. We had to have a couple of their breakfasts. One small £7.70 One Large £9.20 They were served very promptly, and everything was absolutely delicious and filling as usual. It's a lovely venue and dog friendly.

Really surprising place in the middle of an industrial estate. The breakfast options are great & value for money. Food was well cooked & tasted delicious. We had take away baps for work & would highly recommend. The layout & design of the cafe is delightful & it is dog friendly so well worth a detour from the park.

Fabulous cafe..wanted more to eat as there's so much choice that tempts! but visiting friends only wanted coffee which they loved & asked to buy a bag to take home 😆 Wish I lived a lot closer but I will come back as much as I can when over that way. I had a brie & cranberry toastie which was really nice.

It was the first time we went there. It was very busy on a Saturday afternoon as expected. We had to wait 40 minutes for a hot drink. The sandwich I ordered was really tasteless. The waitresses were clumsy and not really friendly. Such a pity.

Good food,clean surroundings. A bit of a enigma; not a top notch restaurant, not a greasy spoon either. However is very nice. Bit of a hidden gem.

A great place to meet for coffee and lunch. Extra hot coffee as ordered was delicious and the tea cake came with butter and jam. My friend enjoyed a small cooked breakfast and as she sat eating it my mouth was watering! The only problem this time for me was the parking. I eventually found a spot near to the main road. My friend has mobility problems so it was a bit of a faff.

Visited on a Saturday morning. Breakfast was very greasy and could tell sausages and bacon was pre cooked for a while. Major difference since last visit.

Easily accommodated our group of 8 scooter / motorcycle riders and the food was served quite quickly by friendly staff. Good quality breakfast. Being fairly new the cafe was clean and well decorated

What a fantastic find. Busy, bustling 'cafe'. Very spaciouse, comfortable eatery. A real gem in the middle of an industrial zone.

Purchased two large breakfasts. We didn’t have to wait long after ordering and they were very good value for money with huge portions and were hot & tasty. Only suggestion would be to somehow let customers know that they find their own table and go to the counter to order as it wasn’t clear (or I didn’t see any signs) so we loitered until we saw a member of staff. Staff seemed very friendly and attentive. Would recommend & will be back as I want to try those special eggs! they sound delicious! Oh and plenty of parking outside which is handy.

Love this place. Not a huge fan of Cumberland sausage with a breakfast but 6 stars nonetheless.

Found this place on Google maps. It's a super place for breakfast and lunch. Tucked away on a business park with easy on road parking. Love going here with friends and family. Very extensive menu for veggies and omnivores.

This is no greasy spoon. One of if not thee best cafes around. Top quality food and great service. It’s a little gem tucked away.

First time visit,very nice food and beverage choices as well as cakes sausage rolls. Disabled toilet facilities. Only down side is NO Disabled parking bays.but would visit again

The ladies that run this place really know what they are doing. As a Batfast Employee I visit the cafe regularly and I'm never disappointed. The sausage and bacon cobs are top notch. Definitely worth a visit.

Off the beaten track, this place isn't easy to find, but well worth a visit. Quirky decor, clean and tidy. Plenty of choice of food, lots of staff (5 or 6 in the kitchen), and good prices. It gets really busy at lunchtimes (it's on an industrial estate), but don't let the wait put you off - it's worth it.

Brilliant, food cooked quick, everything was tasty, staff are friendly.

Came here after seeing it on Facebook a few times and knowing if the owners. It's lovely and spacious, welcoming, child, dog and wheelchair friendly. Plenty of seats and a wide open kitchen so you see everything being cooked. Friendly staff especially one lady, who was very approachable, nothing was too much trouble, I think she was the manager, but not 100% sure. Will definitely be coming again.

If you want a traditional breakfast that has quality then the Quayside Cafe is for you. The eggs are fresh, the sausage superb & the bacon a winner. The staff are polite, friendly and helpful, the decor & seating spot on, all I can add is go give it a try 👍

Lovely little place with very nice staff. Popped in there while my windscreen was being replaced down the road and had some tea and toast. Plenty of plugs and tables for working space. Really highly recommend.

First visit and impressed: will be returning.

Heard a lot of good things about this place. No idea why a cafe on an industrial site(not a dog walking route) welcomes dogs! It really does put me off seeing people feeding their dogs at and ON the table unchallenged. Watching them put food into the dogs mouth and petting them then touching sauce bottles and cutlery that other people may touch is gross...and no i dont hate dogs , i just believe theres a time and a place. Our 2 small breakfasts arrived, mine was minus the sausage which they rectified straight away without any fuss. My wife sadly pulled the longest hair from her mouth that was wrapped up in her mushrooms, again we were immediately offered a fresh breakfast or a refund. My food was really nice to be fair but my wife was really put off. Strangely all of the female staff had their hair tied up top of their heads when really hairnets all round would have been a much more hygienic option. All in all a disappointing first visit.

We went for Sunday breakfast and it's the best we've tried since covid. 5 stars for service, staffing, and quality of bacon, poached eggs, Cumberland sausage, mushrooms, coffee with cream.! This cost 30% less than garden center offerings. With this value, Sunday mornings can be very busy and noisy.!

1st time visiting Quayside Cafe and will definately be going back. Myself and daughter both had a small brekky and grandson had a double stack burger, beautifully cooked and presented. Good quality food you get what you pay for. Staff were lovely. The bonus is taking your pooch in after a walk.

Great as you can take your dog. Good food. Service sometimes slow with drinks not coming with food ordered.

First time here, service was really good but food was very disapionting. Ordered sausage and egg cobs and the the egg was well over done. The sausage was not much to shout about either. Good menu selection but very pricey.

Amazing food from this hidden gem! Great quality ingredients used in the breakfast we had and super generous portions. It was busy at 1pm on a Tuesday in January which shows just how good this place is. There is free WiFi and there were a number of people working from here which was great to see. Prices are reasonable and are completely worth every penny!

First time visit Saturday 21st January at 10.15am. Cafe is obviously popular as plenty of people eating. My husband and I would give our breakfast 6/10 beans were cold, and the sausage was overcooked. Staff were efficient and attentive. Plenty of dogs in the cafe, we're fond of dogs but were shocked that 2 women sitting in one of the booths, had their dog sitting on the cafe seating, and joining in the eating of the breakfast! This particular dog was extremely loud barking constantly, until the food arrived. Unfortunately we would not return.

Really nice! Food is good and the staff are nice. It's just too cold to relax in there, so we had to rush eat to get back to the warm car.

A wonderful cafe tucked away. The staff are so friendly and helpful, even cooking a small bowl of rice for our elderly little dog, no charge. Food tasty and hot. I love Quayside Cafe and look forward to returning regularly!

Great atmosphere, lovely food. Milkshakes were a disappointment, expensive and just cheap sugary syrup which wasn't mixed properly.

What an amazing cafè, i didnt expect such a well presented interior in a location outside of the city centre. Food and service was very good. The prices were affordable. I'm looking forward to visiting again.

it was my first time coming here and i can guarantee i WILL be coming back! the staff were so friendly and welcoming. i ordered a fish finger sandwich and wanted to order the breakfast wrap as i felt i was starving in which i’m glad the staff member recommended me just the fish finger sandwich as it was a huge portion and was struggling a little but i enjoyed everything. the service was so fast - i was literally waiting for my food for less than 5 minutes! the food was so yum and the place just had such a lovely homely, loved feeling. thank you so much for having me quayside cafe!

VERY busy and a little unfair to only give 4 stars because I didn't like what I ordered and probably would like other things on the menu.
