Beautiful restaurant. Attentive staff, food heaven

Quedó gratamente sorprendido de la calidad y la relación calidad-precio en este restaurante. No estábamos alojados en el hotel, sino en un apartamento cerca. El personal era amable y acogedor. Teníamos el pescado con patatas fritas, el brisket y la tarta de batata y todos estábamos contentos con nuestras elecciones.

Recibí un vale de té de la tarde que desafortunadamente no pudimos usar físicamente en el restaurante, sin embargo el hotel era servicial y arregló para que lo recogiese. Aunque estoy agradecido por esto, fue una pérdida de tiempo! Desventajas - Envío de múltiples correos electrónicos para obtener una respuesta y confirmación para la recogida. - La recepcionista me miró con disgusto cuando le pregunté dónde estaba el restaurante y no era amable en absoluto. (gracias a Dios que no éramos huéspedes) -El personal del restaurante / cocina no eran conscientes tan apresurado para hacerlo. - Lo más decepcionante de todo fue la calidad y cantidad de comida recibida! Entrante elegido por mí en ese momento para nosotros, goujones de pescado - bien por lo que era. Aceitunas mixtas - bien. 4 sándwiches de dedos pequeños (cada uno) - el pan era de baja calidad, seco. Los rellenos eran inexistentes, atún mayo, huevo mayo, pollo (¡creo! ) , jamón (¡creo! ). Faltaba sabor y relleno, sobre todo si hay que adivinar cuál es el relleno. El pastel - 1 x gateaux de limón más dulce conocido por el hombre y 1 x pastel de zanahoria seca fueron elegidos. También recibimos un 1 xscone con crema coagulada cada uno. . . . . . . . . . . ¿dónde estaba el relleno del bocadillo? ¿dónde estaban el resto de los pasteles para un té de la tarde? ¿dónde estaba la mermelada para el bollo? Honestamente esto no valió la pena la molestia. Pros Cálido por dentro mientras esperaba - El personal del restaurante era amable - Las mesas/sillas fueron limpiadas rápidamente (notado mientras esperaba) - Variedad de cócteles en el menú (justo mientras esperaba tenía un entrometido) ~ £ 4. 50 - 7 . 50 Como se mencionó estoy muy agradecido de que el restaurante fue capaz de acomodar, y para preparar a última hora. Sin embargo, por lo que pude encontrar en línea esto habría costado más de £ 50, que es el 100% no vale la pena.

Asked the waitress Alexis if they could do a Virgin Espresso Martini as my husband was driving. They had never made one before. However Caleb the bar tender gave 100% in making this unusual request with outstanding results. The Virgin Espresso was so good my husband ordered more. Complimented Caleb and suggested they could put it on the bar menu as a George/ Caleb special. Fantastic customer service from a fabulous team

Ordered 2 Quayside Breakfasts aswell as a Latte and a tea. Drinks where received within 7 minutes of ordering. The Latte was well made and Strong. The Tea was exactly what I wanted. Both breakfasts came soon after the drinks (15-20 minutes after ordering) both where hot and well seasoned. Although personally I would like the option of black pudding it was quickly alleviated by the great quality Lincolnshire Sausages. Otherall I would strongly recommend the Quayside for a quality reasonably priced breakfast by the Quay.

Tuvimos la suerte de haber ganado un vale para una comida de 3 platos para 2 y sin duda volvería. La comida era excelente - bien presentado y lleno de sabor. El personal era muy amable y atento. Primeros: Veggie haggis Bon Bons / Rollo de salchicha de cerdo tirado Red: Calabaza de mantequilla y mermelada Dundee tarta con semillas / pastel de venado Postres: Brownie de chocolate con helado de tableta escocesa Lo único negativo fue £ 36 para una botella de Prosecco - un poco caro en comparación con otros restaurantes.

Hemos venido aquí con bastante frecuencia y todas nuestras experiencias han sido buenas. La comida es tan sabrosa y buena, que nos gusta particularmente el sandwich & papas fritas con una taza de Cullen Skink. El personal es muy amable, hemos tenido el placer de Nicky cuidar de nosotros un par de veces y ella es encantadora. Sin duda en algún lugar que recomendaría.

Have been coming here quite often and all our experiences have been good ones. The food is so tasty and good, we particularly like the sandwich & fries with a mug of Cullen Skink. The staff are extremely friendly, we have had the pleasure of Nicky looking after us a few times and she is lovely. Definitely somewhere that I would recommend.

I was with a party of eleven having afternoon tea. The staff were very attentive and couldn't do enough for such a large group. There was an excellent choice of both savoury and sweet offerings. Everything was very fresh and tasty. The sausage roll and fruit scone were particularly good. A most enjoyable experience and great value for money. I'll certainly be back.

Had a lovely evening at the Quayside Bar & Grill, with the staff offering an amazing service for a large function. The food was part of a set menu which unfortunately was quite bland with the beef puck being very fatty and stringy which left the dish with an unpleasant texture. Only dish that I did like was the Dundee Marmalade Cheesecake but it was chilled so much that the biscuit base was rock solid to cut into.

Estaba muy decepcionado reservado para mi amiga Birthday, desafortunadamente ella tenía una lesión, así que queríamos cancelar ya que su muñeca está rota. Me puse en contacto con el hotel y me dijeron que no es reembolsable (sin embargo, esto es solo en los términos y condiciones que me dijeron, pero no se ve esto hasta que reservas / pagar y las entradas llegan con los términos y condiciones no decir nada sobre esto antes de reservar). Mi amigo se sintió mal así que hicimos la reserva y nos dijeron que no hay reserva bajo este nombre, incluso tenemos los boletos confirmados y el correo electrónico del hotel Apex diciendo que la reserva está en marcha, después de esperar finalmente hemos recibido algunas sobras, el servicio fue terrible nunca recibido y el té o mi café con el té de la tarde, no hay platos solo el puesto que necesitábamos comer como la clase de bienvenida estaba comenzando a las 2 pm. Traté de llamar la atención del personal para pedir las bebidas, después de 3 miembros del personal diferente que pedimos todavía no hay señal o el Prosecco o las bebidas calientes. Ambos estábamos casi llorando una experiencia tan terrible. Lo único positivo fue que las dos encantadoras damas de la clase ayudaron a mi amiga y revisaron nuestras bebidas... ...por supuesto que todavía lo esperamos ya que nunca recibimos las bebidas calientes. Explicado esto cuando no dejamos disculpas o incluso preguntar si queríamos una bebida caliente para llevar. Por favor, no reserve ya que es una decepción masiva. Reservaría la corona, pero no el té de la tarde. Terrible atención al cliente. Me avergonzaría por una entrega de hotel de clase tan malos servicios como este.

Easy parking and good food. The reception was not the warmest, but the service was good. Small bar, clean bathrooms, good crowd.

So we made a reservation on line . We get here an hour early to have cocktails , yes we checked in , we sat for the hour and enjoyed our cocktail . We saw numerous people getting seated who asked if tables were available ( so no reservations) and no one checked on us to get us to our table , it wasn’t until I asked if we were going to get seated that they finally seated us and then took forever to get our order .

Food is amazing and staff are really nice and helpful

Pedí un par de bebidas en el bar, pero incluso después de seguir nuestra orden hasta 40 minutos después todavía no nos habían servido nuestras bebidas. Simplemente nos levantamos y nos fuimos y comimos en otro lugar si el hotel no quería nuestro dinero.

Hemos visitado dos veces en las últimas 6 semanas para el té de la tarde. En ambas ocasiones la comida ha sido excelente y el personal ha sido amable y eficiente. Ya hemos hecho planes para una 3a visita y estamos dispuestos a probar el menú de la cena!

Food wasn’t good. Poor quality and over-priced. £7.50 for 5 prawns and a huge pot of mayo. Serving chips from the freezer isn’t acceptable at this price range. Very little choice on the menu. Very noisy.

Mi amigo y yo estábamos muy impresionados con la comida, especialmente el tamaño de las porciones. ¡Creo que teníamos demasiadas patatas fritas! Los dos pedimos la ciabatta de halloumi a la parrilla, y no pudimos terminarla porque era muy grande. Sin embargo, sabía delicioso. Como era mi cumpleaños, la camarera me dio mi bebida en la casa, que fue un buen toque. Sin duda volveremos! El restaurante es precioso y elegante, con una gran vista del muelle.

Been here a few times now. Great food, decent size portions. The staff were attentive and let you have time in between courses. The atmosphere was lovely and not too crushed. Plenty of space between tables.

Had lunch today in their Quayside restaurant; very disappointed: slow service, had a pizza that tasted as if it had been reheated and had some fresh herbs sprinkled over. Staff very slow to take away plates etc when we were finished. Nice location and probably a nice place for a coffee, but food was poor today.

What happened to Sunday Lunch???Dont go in before 5 as all you will get is a paninni or burger a total shambles

The mac and cheese was tasteless, then I was landed with a £100 fine for parking in their car park. Barriers were up. No use having signs you can't see in the dark. Disgraceful!

As someone new to having to dine gluten Free I was pleasantly surprised at the number of options, enjoyed a lovely and crispy fish chips and some Mousse cake. Friendly service and nice ambience, would visit again when in Dundee!

Came here 5 years ago looking for a wedding venue, wasn't impressed then. Stopped off for a drink, not friendly staff and drinking area is basically in the foyer area, very noisy not relaxing. Still not impressed so never had the drink

The food is extremely ordinary.The chef really needs to review the menu and see if the flavours really go together. I had the sole ,which was smothered in some sweet dressing,which completely ruined and overpowered the delicate fish.The feta salad was just a large hunk of lettuce. I ate in the Apex grassmarket in Edinburgh and the food there was just as bad.Why do these chefs insist on pouring sweet sauce on everything ? The ambience and service were good.

We went for lunch today. Restaurant has had a refresh since we were last there and looks very stylish and modern. Staff were pleasant and attentive. Starters of French onion soup and chicken pakora were tasty. My husband enjoyed his main of a brisket ciabatta. My main of fish and chips was very disappointing. It was possibly the smallest and thinnest piece of fish I have ever been served in a restaurant and certainly not worth £15.00 advertised price. Much better with a takeaway down the coast in Arbroath. Wish I had taken a picture. Bears no resemblance to the one on their website. Chips were fluffy and tasty. Would probably return for nice setting and service but would choose something else next time.

Service pretty bad. Nobody cleaning after guests who left or prepared for new guests. So the tables are messy and unclean None of the team at all interested in taking orders or having a look after the customers. Even with only very few customers order from the bar took very long (nobody cared to take order at the table we have been seated onto) and the waitress maxed out with just placing the drinks on a table with bottles and glasses of previous customers - lucky us she then took the time to remove empty bottles and glasses of the previous customers. Cleaning was apparently not available though. As the service was a bad experience for drinks already we decided for another option for dinner.

The food was okay, I liked the brisket but I didn’t really like the bbq chicken lollipops.. they didn’t taste like bbq that much, tbh im kinda a picky eater but not that picky but this place has good service

Decent prices and nice atmosphere. We went for the Frito Misto and got a bit disappointed. Overall it was good but not what we were expecting. Added to that a Whipped Feta Salad and some Chips 🍟. The cocktails 🍸 were nice at a decent price. For the dessert we had Mango Parfait, which we were not impressed with and a Cherry 🍒 Cheesecake, which was absolutely Devine.

Had a fantastic lunch in here while we were staying in the Apex hotel. Beautiful dining area and an exceptional sandwich.

Great venue, bright and fresh. Staff were lovely. Food very good.

Very mediocre food- the salad was terrible the chef had apparently "forgotten" to add the chicken to it. The buttermilk chicken burgers tasted ok but looked very pale and unattractive. The service was patchy but when asked to sort out food, the waitress was helpful. I think they weren't having a good day in the kitchen!

It is okay and place for the matured minds

Very nice food . Especially the great Scottish tasting appetizer with smoked salmon ,crowdie cheese , haggis roll, pate, and smoked venison. Mains great too haddock and chips and spicy grilled shrimp were fresh and tasty .

Smart new hotel bar facing the old harbor. Waterski practice area adds some entertainment. A nice stop on when walking along the waterfront. The new contactless ordering app still needs some work. It’s a shame they don’t have / use an outside seating area.

Brilliant place to sit and chill and watch the kids & adults play on the inflatable assault course in the docks.

Where shall I begin. Starts with a phone call (2pm) asking if I still require my table for 2 at 7pm not really as I booked a table of 3 and my booking confirmation confirms 3 people. I thought not a problem genuine mistake but now they are aware that it’s actually 3 people as confirmation. We should be so lucky, we arrive on time 7pm the host on the desk quickly rushes to his colleague to get her place a chair on the temporary table for 2 (this table has been pre booked for over 2 weeks) We get placed on a table that can only be described as a coffee table not fit for dining. The waitress then arrives all I can say is that I’ve never met such a rude waitress may I suggest she finds an alternative career as hospitality is clearly not her field. No person should ever feel rushed when dining, we had been seated for 10 minutes she asked us 4 times if we was ready to order, we ordered our drinks as we felt so rushed into ordering something, she then asked for our food order we said again not quite ready for food so she rolled her eyes stropped off and went straight over and had a good old moan about us to her colleagues. That was the straw that broke the camels back for us. We decided to leave told the manager we was leaving, she asked us what was the problem and to be quite honest she could not care less.

Amazing vegan burger in Dundee! And fabulous service. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

Great food! Our starters (hot smoked salmon, Caesar salad) were very good, mains (cottage pie, slow roasted duck leg) were equally well prepared and delicious! - Rhea our server was excellent and attentive. - Sophie, who took our reservation, handled the details of our reservation expertly ensuring that everything was setup for our visit. Would highly recommend.

We were staying in the hotel and thought we'd try the restaurant as the food looked good. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Lynn has a smile that can brighten any windy and rainy day and Randy was very friendly and so welcoming. We were told all about the steak deal and decided it sounded good. We ordered ours medium rare - it was perfectly done. With chips each and we shared some onion rings. We went for the peppercorn sauce each as that is our favourite and a bottle of rose. Everything was done beautifully, the onion rings weren't just onion rings they had bite, they were delicious. Overall an outstanding meal, would make the trip again any time for the incredible food.
