Quite a small place with a limited selection, but what they have is good and the staff are very friendly

The meal I got has jumped from £5.45 last week to £7.95 this week. Daylight robbery. I feel scammed. Wasn’t told the price until food was ready and paid. You have lost a customer.

Placed order last night at about 8-20pm received this at 8 -50, fish was very dry it's it was sitting in the heater for a while, and chips half cooked won't order on line again, was in here about a Month ago in person and waited 10minutes on f/supper and it was perfect, but last night, was poor food.sos if u can't deliver a fish supper only 5minutes from your shop fresh, i won't return.

Late night fish supper. Absolutely vile. Chips swimming in grease, undercooked not left to drain properly. Tasted of old oil as well. At least it was fairly cheap.

Tell me why 46£ later the fish didn’t taste like fish? The whole meal was soggy (not crispy) and was overall very underwhelming it had no flavour I had to drown it in vinegar to make it bearable. Got it last week and it was fine but after tonight theres no chance I’ll be back

Moved to the area and was recommended this chip shop. Absolutely brilliant. Fritters are crispy and fluffy, Mrs said the breaded fish was perfect and my battered sausage was great too. Been in a few times now and really recommend this place for walk ins. Star rating is criminally low because of just eat drivers.

Ordered from Joe's frequently and loved it everytime. Everyone was always friendly, delivery was always early and food was always fantastic. The order I just had was cold, half an hour late and when I phoned to find out what was going on I was yelled at and told the reason the order of chips was late was because it hadn't left the shop and the driver was busy. Sadly won't be ordering from Joe's again after that.

Absolute not the best of food. My food was meant to be here at 6.45pm and only turned up at 7.20 .. food was cold . My burger bun was rock solid and my patty was so hard and dry.. Rubbish if I’m honest

Small portions Chips and sausages vile Shop is unclean

Had a small order from here, waited a good while (15 minutes+) food was cold and drenched in oil, everything was packaged separately. Asked for a standard sausage and received battered sausage. Wouldn't go there again as we all woke up the next day feeling fairly sick. The staff member had to keep asking what we ordered, kept disappearing out the back. There was food in the hot plate that appeared to of been there for hours if not days. Once our food was ready it was just left on the counter with no indication to say it was ready etc.

Good quality food in decent price range... fan of the fritters and curry sauce from there...

Went into the shop. Guy working the pass was on his phone constantly. Touching everything he could get his hands on. The hot plate windows are absolutely disgusting. At one point he was on his hands and knees doing something. The whole time he never washed his hands once. The food on the hot plate had been there for a least a couple of hours although I suspect at least some of it was from last night. The food itself was greasy and overcooked. Absolute riot of a shop. Avoid.

Great customer service, atmosphere like in 1980s, intestines still recovering from white pudding and deep fried mars bar/twix combo.

Called and placed order when arrived at shop there was a que served every one in order good service and food was good

Got a delivery from here .a munchy box it was delicious 1huge piece fish 4 hot chicken wings battered cheeseburger on a roll loads of chips and tub of curry sauce done 2 people . Will deffo be ordering again mmmm . Only £12.95excluding delivery x chips little cold but everything else piping hot . But good distance from Hilltown to charleston so heated in airfryer lol

We ordered for home delivery. Food came very quickly (half the time just eat stated). Food was still lovely and hot, hadn’t gone soggy and wet like most takeaways do. Everything was clearly made fresh. Extra thanks to the restaurant who actually called me to say they didn’t have the spicy burger I wanted but have normal chicken burgers and to make sure that was ok. Normally takeaways don’t bother and just send you whatever so that was a very nice touch. Will definitely be ordering again. 10/10

Best value for money food in Dundee. Very fair price. The staff were very nice and efficient. the food was so good we went back 3 times in a week .

Excellent chipper, black pudding supper was sumptuous.friendly guys behind the counter, place was clean & service was quick. Definitely another visit due when am back in town 👏👏👏👏

Food is great in my own personal opinion. The older guy always asks “is that enough chips”. The service is top tier compared to the other couple of places on the same street. (No naming names but beside Tesco)

While the rest of the food was decent and deserving of 4 stars, the cheese on my chips was visibly mouldy and inedible. Bit of a health hazard and wouldnt trust anything from here again.

Every time I order the delivery is always delayed. Never turns up when it says. Pity as food is OK.

Service was terrible, we ordered at 5 oclock and they "arrived" at 8 oclock and weren't even outside, then i called them for a thrid time and they hung up the phone lol

Very good chippy. reasonable prices and the food is normally spot on. the delivery is normally on time if not early the guy is polite as well.

Waited 2 and a half hours for my food no apology from delivery driver for it being late.

Terrible experience food was an hour and a half late. Had to order from another restaurant to feed the kids before bed

Food was excellent when it finally got here but unfortunately it was pretty much stone cold. So needed reheated. Tasted lovely though, probably even better if it was freshly hot

Ordered Two Fish and Chips. Fairly good portion and food very hot!.

Order arrived cold. Phoned asking where it was after it was out for delivery for 20 mins and was told it should be there soon as only one order in front of us. Arrived 5 mins after the call and was cold. Phoned and asked to have another sent out which never turned up. Won’t be ordering from here again.

I always do reviews wherever I am in the UK.... Tonight Dundee No ideas why this chippy is rated 3.6 coz this has gotta be the best chip steak supper I've had for a long time. I'm not a local.... I'm from the better side of the bridge but I'd ignore any rubbish reviews..... I'm guessing which are malicious.....give the chippy a try....u won't be disappointed!

1 1/2hrs for two bags of chips. 45 min late. Pile of slimy cold rubbish. Avoid like the plague.

Food hasn’t arrived yet actually getting very fed up of this as it is every week I order. I ordered at 4.50pm and Received my order 1hr past delivery time only for them too get my order wrong.. my child is very upset after waiting so long for food then receiving the wrong food Absolutely shocking

Food was about 45 mins late and was warm at most when it arrives. Very soggy and everything I ordered was thrown in one wrapper. Very poor will never order again from here.

I asked for my food to be delivered at 19:15 because I finish at 19:00 (I work from home) and instead you delivered it at 18:07. The food was sitting there getting cold, all because you decided to deliver it over an hour early. So now I’ve finished work and I’ve got cold food to “enjoy”.

Food fried right in front of you. Like that. They're chips come outa the dryer the same every time. That is delicious.

The food was delicious as always. A nice large fish with plenty of chips and large piece of chicken. I have never had any complaints with my orders and I will be ordering again at some point.

The food we received from Joes fish bar was dried up and burnt it was absolutely disgusting.

Best pie supper for years! Very generous portion of chips. Excellent value.

The chipsteak was undercooked and still pink in the middle, king rib was watery/sludgy and tasted off. Chips were okay, but I'll not be back.

Ordered from Joe's several times over the past two years, the food is always great in taste & quality however what lets them down 90% of the time is the delivery time. My past two orders were late, 45 mins & 20 mins respectively. Think this will most likely be the last time ordering from here.....shame really.

It came early, I liked the food, it was hot and good to eat.

The staff at Joes are very friendly and welcoming, especially the cashier is too sweet !! The quality of the food is amazing, will order more frequently!!

Food came very very quickly, it was very hot, and it was very nice. Chips were crispy and the sausage was perfectly battered and really tasty. Not oily or greasy and it tasted like very clean oil. I don't often leave reviews but this was the best order I've ever had from here and one of the best chippies I've had in Dundee.

I placed my order at 21.27 with and expected delivery time of 22.05 and 22.25! I received my order at 23.35. Wasn't even wanting the order by the time it arrived it was that late...not very good at all.

Curry sauce was like water who serves curry sauce like water come on get a grip and do your job properly or dont serve sauce if you can't make the sauce don't serve it simple. Batter is over cooked again think you need cooking lessons.

All except Macaroni Cheese were wrapped in paper. Please get proper boxes for food.

Food was ok but that must have been the smallest fish I’ve ever seen in my life,going back to Jamie’s from now on.

Told us it would be delayed after we ordered, was over and hour. Disappointed with that but the food was great and the staff were very nice about it.

King Rib didn't taste like a king rib at all, tasted more like chicken broth.

Cooked to a high standard. Food was fresh, piping hot and tastes delicious.

Chicken was undercooked so went in the bin, curry sauce was like water chips were edible.

iv been at this chippy b4 + the food was lovly but this time had such a horid meal, chips curry sauce well a tea spoon in middle of cold chips, red pudding supper horid, chips + nuggets bairn never touched it plus i ordered the cola + got blackcurrent in a tub + the fish was yesterdays all binned

I don't really eat all the chips, they are normally cold but still great value and it's like 1.5m away from I think. Would recommend as I have only ordered twice so wouldn't be fair to not recommend and give it a chance

Order was over an hour late; most disgusting delivery ever, chicken was pink, haggis was dried out and fritters were burnt to a crisp: all went in the bin, Phoned to complain and was told sorry we are very busy,,,,, £18 down the drain
