We attended for use of the thermal spa for my friends birthday. We really enjoyed our experience and managed to fit in a light bite before we went into the spa and sat out on the deck area - just lovely Staff attentive and friendly

Beautiful location no matter 2hat the weather is like. We booked the Spa DBB deal staying in a suite. We had to upgrade our treatment to get the full massage but definitely worth it. We had a small lunch at the bar. In the evening we had an excellent meal with good service. Started with squash risotto, mains Hake and Prk belly followed by Orange Sponge with clotted cream. Breakfast was excellent with a good vegetarian option.

Visited for my birthday with a group of 4 girls. Rooms were clean & a great size. The spa only giving free access for set times was a little disappointing, very crammed with only 6 loungers & children allowed in for an hour of it. £25 to use is during the day. Staff at the desk & restaurant especially were lovely. Breakfast was ace also. Would definitely return.

I have today 19 February telephoned The Quay Hotel and Spa to ask for information regarding booking a suprise nights accomodation for my friends Golden Wedding Anniversary. I spoke to an extremely nice lady on reception whose name was Kim. She was very pleasant, efficient, helpfull, willing, knowledgeable and I had confidence in her ability to recomend and exceed my requirements. I have booked an Executive Double Room with Estuary Views at a price that I am delighted with. Kim is an asset to the business. I have eaten in this hotel many times over the last 20 plus years and have never been disappointed. A stunning hotel in a beautifull setting. Many Thanks Kim for your efficiency and helpfulness today.

Just stayed at the Quay and it was a pleasant experience. Location, views and the staff made the stay. The rooms are ok. We stayed in a suite and found mould on the attachments in the bath and the sealant behind the sink was also black with mould. The breakfast was good. Not as much variety as in the past but good. The main issue was the swimming pool and having children. You can only use it between 5-6 if you have kids. This resulted in a very packed out pool in this hour with spa guests and every child in the hotel practically. Not as child friendly as other hotels.

Me and my partner stayed here for a couple of nights and were blown away by how gorgeous it was! All staff were so helpful, kind and friendly, they really made you feel welcome. We used the spa a few times which is so beautiful and relaxing and is included in your stay (between 6:30-9pm and 5-9pm) which I felt was very generous especially for the price we paid for our rooms I didn't think this would be included. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was really comfortable and big. The only thing that I would change was the shower, it was very low down on the wall and not great. But this was minor. We had breakfast included too and there were so many options and the food was delicious. We wish the restaurant had been open later in the evening so we could have had dinner there! The location is great, half hour walk to Conwy and Deganwy train station is a few mins walk away so it's easy and fast to get to Llandudno. Absolutely loved our stay here and we want to come back again ASAP!

Another visit to our happy place, everything as good as it was 6 years ago and for that reason we try to get here at least 2-3 times a year. 6 Years ago Everything you could want from a hotel. Fantastic views. Dog friendly but not allowed in the bar. However on a fine day lovely to sit on the outside patio and since our last visit have opened up a lounge area next to reception where you can sit and eat/drink with your dog

We stayed for my birthday. We indulged in a couple of Spa treatments (divine). We were half board and the food was beautifully presented and delicious. Our suite with balcony overlooked the river. It was our first visit but will not be our last. Thank you for a fabulous couple of days.

This was an absolutely outstanding stay and we hugely recommend this hotel, their attentionton to detail and service excellence was amazing. We had an issue with our room whereby there was a tiny drip in the hall way in our room, we would have barely noticed it, but the hotel jumped into full action and entirely over accommidated us. Initially offering us accommodation elsewhere, but we had been drinking in Quay as the football was on. So we had to stay as could not drive and there were no other rooms due to a large wedding. We stayed in the room happily and barely noticed the issue, but because of their impeccable high standards they over compensated us. I will not say specifically what they did for us so to safeguard the hotel from any chances reading this but it was very kind of them. 100% recommendation and a stunning area to visit. We'll be back and we'll be using this hotel and staff again.

Attended the evening do of my cousins wedding and was very impressed with the surroundings and the location which was beautiful. Also a little mention to the bar staff who did an incredible job considering the volume of people who were coming to the bar for drinks. Only downside was waiting a long time for your turn at the bar otherwise I would definitely have given 5 stars for the service. Will definitely go back to stay there sometime as well

Work conference on a Sun/Mon in Nov. It’s a nice tidy modern hotel. The rooms are large and clean. But the shower is an annoying over bath with a hose. Not modern and you get a blast of cold before it warms up. The bed was very comfortable and large. The gym was poor - old fashioned running and x-trainer machines - which for a spa hotel was disappointing. Dinner was good - monk fish followed by excellent cheese - restaurant manager (American lady)deserves special mention. Breakfast was very good. Nice conference facilities. Lovely location next to the bay/water. Lots of parking.

Beautiful place, exceptional service, stayed for a few nights and had a spa treatment 1 day which was brilliant, the only disappointment was the food from the spa side not fresh seemed like it was just kept in a fridge then served up.

Highly recommended. We stayed for 3 nights with a fantastic view of the inlet. There were some issues with the rooms whilst we were there, but these couldn’t be helped and the hotel dealt with them exceptionally. Our short stay was wonderful and without doubt we would return and/or recommend the hotel.

Went to the spa for my 60th with my daughter. Greeted at the reception and told to go upstairs, communication from staff around the cafe area was very poor, no explanation to what we would be doing or shown around the area and personally we felt a bit lost. We had a email saying breakfast would be between 08.30 and 09.00 but by 09.30 nothing had materialised so my daughter asked and was told it would be served at 10.00 even though we had brunch booked for 10.30. When they did put water, juice and pastries out no glasses or plates so had to ask for these. I found the cafe area very poor. The treatment we had was lovely and the therapist was much more friendly than the front of house staff. I wouldn't go back to this spa and the staff need some communication training and perhaps tell your customers what is happening and show them around and be a bit more organised, they have a beautiful relaxation room but we wasn't told about it till literally a few minutes before our treatment so we never used it and to be honest as soon as our treatment finished we wanted to leave.

Great staff, nice and clean and good rooms. Cooked breakfast was good although we didn't care much for the sausages. Evening meal in the restaurant was nice, desserts are OK but virtually every option contains sorbet. We opted for the cheeseboard, expensive but a good range of cheeses 🧀 Second night we had fish & chips in the bar, best fish I've eaten in a long time, thick cut chips were great too, if you're coming here I strongly suggest you try them. Car parking can be tricky when there's an event on but usually easy to find a space. Excellent views of the estuary from the restaurant and bar and also from your room if you're prepared to pay the premium. Had a great massage from Sophia in the Spa this morning. They told us we had to pay £25 for two hours of swimming in their pool, this came as a surprise as last time we came to this hotel it was free for guests? We enjoyed our visit and will come here again.

I only went for the spa, booked a day. Had a massage, brunch and sat in the saunas. Staff were really good, would've liked a bit more of an introduction as to what I was to do during my stay, perhaps a little tour round as I felt a little lost on arrival. But my massage and exfoliating treatment was spectacular, the chap who did the treatment was so kind and happy to chat about the area and places to visit, he also gave me some tips to take care of my health and skin. The food was not amazing but certainly not bad Spa was lovely and quiet only 5 other people (it was a Monday morning) so I had to sauna and pool to myself mostly. Foot spa was gorgeous and the hydrotherapy pool was very good. Very good for a spa day, no idea what it's like as a hotel but staff were very welcoming when I arrived at reception. Plenty of onsite parking for spa

I'm lucky enough to work at the Quay Hotel regularly as a Wedding Photographer and the service that I receive is exquisite. Observing how the staff are with the wedding parties are also second to none. I highly recommend the Quay. The rooms are immaculate and spacious. The food is outstanding. The service... Unreal. Special mention to Sophie, Jane and the team, who I'm fortunate enough to work alongside. And also to Bradley for sorting me out with a coffee when I was stuffed with amazing food. Thanks to all of you. Nathan

My partner and I went for a hot stone massage here and it was amazing. I seriously can't say enough good things about the experience. We both came out really relaxed. Staff were so friendly and great. They made sure to check in about where you problem areas are and if there were any areas to avoid etc and you could tell they had alot of experience. Would highly recommend to anyone ... its very worth it!!!

This hotel is absolutely great. The views are mesmerising and the rooms are superb and spacious. The view is the river and the castle which is stunning at night with the lights switched on at the castle. The swimming pool and the spa were great. The restaurant and the food was equally good

2 day mum and daughter time - had spa treatments which were good considering leisure facilities under construction - dining staff and bar very very welcoming BUT reception desk staff need more training in their hospitality and welcoming after all they are the first people you meet - there was no joy or smiles - also check your bills at meal times on both occasions our bill had to be modified

Had a very nice lunch today with friends who were residents. After the meal the table was cleared but not one member of staff offered us a dessert menu, we had coffees and I asked for some cake, was informed this wasn’t available anymore and yet I see online you have an afternoon tea menu, sorry it just doesn’t make sense to me , the next minute the lights were dimmed and we felt it was time to leave 🙄🙄

So sad its closed I live in Australia and when ever I came out to visit every few years I would look forward to their King Prawn Curry and Fried Rice it was worth travelling halfway around the world for, they were lovely people as well but hey life goes on I will have to find a new place when I visit North Wales next June
