This was a frequent location for when I couldn't be bothered to cook. The ambiance was extraordinary, lifted by the enthusiasm of Leo, the manager/part-owner and in a more measured way by Enez.

There is nothing wrong about this restaurant but it is also nothing special for the price range. Places like Eneko have menus at similar value and the food is exceptional, whereas the food in Quantus was not flawless. I was the “lucky one” since I seemed to order the best dishes in the menu: the sweetbreads, the grilled octupus and the nut cake. My husband ordered the Heirloom tomatoes salad and the tomatoes were tasteless. The chimichurri steak was ok, but far from the best. The same could be said from the crab cakes. The worse thing however were the deserts. My husband ordered a panna cotta which almost needed a knife to be eaten, and my friend ordered a chocolate mouse that had an off smell (we all noticed) and hence did not eat it. In addition when we arrived the restaurant was full but nobody had been served which resulted in us having to wait very long for the food. The service was very pleasant though and the octupus and nut cake were very good

We've have been going to Quantus since they opened in Chiswick. It's a true gem in Chiswick and the owners are most friendly welcoming as if you are family. It's a unique cozy environment with a high standard qaulity food service. The menu varies but they try and stick with one or two dishes that's always a success such as milanesa and the the nut cake as dessert. We come there a few times a year for celebrations or just , because we've missed them. Highly recommend to go there for a romantic dinner

We went just before Christmas, and have been a few times previously, but not for a while. It was busy, but felt it unnecessary for the staff to be quite so brusque - very different from previous visits. Food was ok - starter great, mains ok, desert disappointing. Service was so very slow, and instead of leaving the wine on the table - returned to constantly fill up our glasses - so we drank more than usual (constantly placing my hand over my glass) as we waited a very long time between courses. We enjoy and like to support independent restaurants, but feel they need to review service and quality.

Quantus is a lovely little find! Tucked away on the delightful Devonshire Road, we were welcomed as soon as we walked in. The decor is cool, clean and fun, tables are nicely laid out, the menu has plenty of choice (black pudding is perfectly cooked and the fillet steak is delicious) and there are some lovely little touches (smiley faces in the oil made us chuckle). There’s a good wine list and you feel part of the community as you walk in. Service is spot-on, not too fussy, very friendly and attentive without being in your face. Definitely worth a visit!

I was there with my wife. The service is smily and warm. The decoration of restaurant is simple and of good test with black and white photos. The food is excellent, my starter a japon like salmon was subtil and testy. My main was the scallops, the sauce was for me a bite to strong and killed the taste of the scallops. My wife took the mozzarella starter and would have appreciated a bite of something to create the link between all the ingredients, her main was the see bass which was just brilliant. We waited too long between the starters and the mains but as the ambiance is fine it was ok. We will come back for sure.

Nice cosy restaurant in a side street off Chiswick highstreet. Very friendly n helpful staff. Good food, overall quite pleased. For starters we had soup n rare tuna with cilantro n nectarine. Tuna was very good although just 3-4 bites which was a bit small for the overall price. For mains two of us had Cod which was very nice, one steak was ordered n although it was requested as rare what came was a very chewy n grissly. Overall we were happy. The manager was very apologetic about the steak n gave a free coffee as compensation. Nice restaurant will go again to try it out again. Costly for 2coursees n then sides are extra.

My partner and I went to this restaurant for a romantic dinner. They sat us at the back of the restaurant which was empty so it did feel quite cosy and romantic. We ordered a bottle of wine that apparently was not cold enough so they provided a glass of prosseco while we were waiting for the wine to cool down. The wine returned not cool enough again so they offered us another bottle of wine which was delicious. The starters were quite average. I had the tuna which wasn't espectacular but ok. However my partner had the mushrooms with tikka popcorn and honestly that was quite disappointing. It was literally few fried mushrooms with garlic mayonnaise and few popcorn taken from a plastic bag. The mains were better - at least my cod. We had kale and chips as sides which were average as well. My partner had the steak and he wasn't overly impressed with it either. Dessert was, once again, average. Chocolate brownie with a nice matcha ice cream, but it didn't really blow our minds. Brownie was cold and not freshOn a positive note, the staff were absolutely delightful and very attentive. And the bread - focaccia style - with olive oil was to die for. I think the place has potential and they put a lot of effort but the food needs a bit of improvement.

We got 2 starter and one main + 2 desserts each. Now my question is.. if 34 Pounds means ( starter main and dessert ).. Why they put in our bill dessert and starter separately? I paid separately For dessert and For starter .. that means just one course ( salmon ) was 34 £? We visited Quantus after sometime and found it now has a set style menu. It used to specialise in Argentinian beef but not now. There were good choices on the menu but bearing in mind that we had two courses coffee and only one bottle of wine the bill came to £95 per couple which for a local restaurant is a little hefty despite the quality of the food. It was very busy when we arrived but that did not make any difference to the service and the arrival of the food. I would return when the menu changes.

Quantus has a warm and friendly atmosphere with service to match. Always welcoming, this local gem serves delicious food and a well rounded wine list. Starting with two house cocktails, we followed with the prawn and octopus starters respectively, each wonderfully presented with a balance of flavours. The wine was smooth and balanced and accompanied the second course of veal perfectly. With a bit of rocket and sides joining this dish, it was a very satisfying. We finished the meal off with the chocolate mousse with olive oil and digestifs. The atmosphere is comfortable, close but private enough to enjoy a personal conversation. The staff are helpful but not in your face. There is nothing I could criticise about our experience. I really enjoy going here.

My partner took me for a birthday / Valentines meal. She'd been a frequent visitor in the past, so thought it would be a nice treat. Nice ambiance, service apart for the the water lady was not great. The 2 tables either side, probably frequent visitors got regular check backs, we didn't get any.The menu was nice & the food was ok, APART from the steak. The 2 tables next to us both had steak which looked great, so I ordered, it was 50% fat. This can happen I know but the kitchen probably shouldn't have sent it out. When we'd finished the manager finally ask how things were. I commented on no check back on the meals & the steak. I was told.... the reason they put "Macken's Steak" on the menu is if its not up to standard we can could go the them & complain (he wasn't joking). GOBSMACKED....disappointing end to what should have been a nice evening.

My fiancée took me here as a pre-birthday treat knowing that Quantus is my favourite restaurant in Chiswick. I hadn't been in almost two years (see review 12th March 2015) and was welcomed very well with we haven't seen you for some time. We were immediately given glasses of prosecco, a nice touch.I had the excellent prawns and black pudding and my fiancée had a good starter as well. This was followed by a delicious large steak for me and the lamb rump for my fiancée. Both mains showed the Argentinian influence Afterwards we shared a pudding as we were too full to have one each.A great meal but there are two Buts. The first is that there is no longer a reasonably priced house wine, which really puts the bill up (30% up on my last visit). On asking the boss why their good reasonable Malbec was no longer on the list he said there wine merchant wouldn't supply one. I'd change my wine merchant. The other But is Why oh Why do they serve the food on cold plates. Both mains were cold within a few minutes. This habit seems to be usual now and we are starting to go to places where hot plates are the norm. Hence my marking down Quantus this time.

In this, our second experience with Quantas, the quality of the food really let it down. The ambience was lovely (the lighting is absolutely stunning), and the wait staff very friendly. However, we were disappointed with the food. The quality didn't match the price tag. Our venison and salmon were over cooked and dry, unfortunately. And the serving sizes were similar to Michelin star, however without the quality of the fare, cooking and presentation that comes along with Michelin meals. The salmon was tiny, and the venison was too large with very little sauce or accompaniment, and some dubious flavour combinations across the board. The value was poor when we looked overall. I'm sorry to leave this review, as the wait staff were very friendly and attentive. But for me to come again, I would need to hear that the quality of the menu and cooking had improved. Such a shame for a beautiful venue with lovely staff. I'd be there again in a heartbeat were it not for the quality of the dishes. We had heard it was a bit hit and miss, and unfortunately I think we scored a 'miss' night in the kitchen.

Every time I walk into Quantus I'm greeted as an old friend! The welcome prosecco, the smiles, the clever conversation, these guys are perfect hosts! They spotted that I have lost some weight since my last visit!I like the coziness of the place. I like the uncomplicated menu that reads: fresh! This time we arrived early, and found out that there is an "Early Bird Special"... glass of Prosecco, two courses for £25.We had Orecchiette to begin: beautifully prepared and with butternut, very unusual, far tastier than appealing in the menu! The soup, very delicate and the Azul Guiso, an Argentinian "tomatoish" stew similar to the Spanish "Pisto con huevo" with the addition of chorizo! Three starters were excellent!Main course: lamb chops and greens! They were delicious. The rump, very generous ours portion: wish it was a tat rarer. The smoke duck breast, very smoky flavours, it was a success! They even offer as a complimentary sweet... an interesting take into the classic crumble. Like a crushed pavlova with lots of freshness. I could have had another one!Wines... we drank too much! ! Started with the well priced Malbec, young, fruity for £25... then moved to the more refined Malbec at £37.50! Wow what a difference! Fantastic wine! Worth the extra 12 quid... oh yes! Thank you for a great evening!

I really like this place but it's a year since I'd been. Anyhow, as it happened we decided to eat at 6pm and stumbled upon the early dinner menu. At £25 for two course and a glass of good prosecco, for me at least, this is great value for food of such high quality. I had orechietti to start and then lamb. Both delicious. My companions equally enjoyed theirs (soup, duck and beef). One main was a bit on the cool side when served, but we didn't give them a chance to correct it so I've kept the five star rating. And an interesting take on a crumble for dessert. Love the interior, the diverse menu and the friendly service. I need to make this a 'regular' again! If you have been, go!

My 5th visit will be tomorrow night and sooooooooo looking forward to a lovely catch up with a dear friend (actually this is a treat for her). I have visited Quantus Restaurant (very Eclectic several times and it never fails, the food is exquisite and gives that perfect balance or not too big and not too small a restaurant. The service is great and I love just being there, sometimes I feel like I'm on holiday - have to be tried if you are in West London.

This quaint and cozy dining establishment in the heart of Chiswick (tucked several blocks off the High Road) is a gem of a find. Not as well-known as some of it's more heralded competitors (see La Trompette or Hedone), Quantus deserves high praise with delectable dishes, a nice wine list and very friendly and mannered service. Given how well we ate and drank (and did not break the bank), Quantus might become our go-to fine dining establishment in Chiswick. Do your palate a favor and make it a point to enjoy a meal here.

On the whole, not bad at all. Good starters (scallops and a tasty vegetables stew) and a good beef among the main courses. It is a pity that occasionally.one finds a fault (duck too dry, a tasteless dessert).Prices are reasonable and the service is friendly and good.

We've been here twice now and neither time have we felt we'd go back. Indeed, we only went back the second time because we'd forgotten we'd already been there when our friends booked it!There is nothing wrong with it at all. The food is tasty enough and quite interesting and the service is good, but for us, the price was too high for the food we had. I can't put my finger on anything that was actively wrong or bad, it's just not for us.

Although there are a lot of small restaurants in Chiswick, Quantus is worth finding. I was taken for my birthday, really good choice of menu & wines, good fine-dining, well presented restaurant with a relaxed and easy ambience. It seemed to appeal to couples, families, and larger groups. Great service without being overbearing. I'm sure we'll be back.

We had the 6.30pm 2 course set menu; it was delicious. Watermelon and feta starters, followed by the salmon with pureed parsnip and the beetroot risotto. For the wine I had the Pinot rose and my friend a red, both were excellent. Go for the food rather than the ambience which is pleasant but not super trendy. Have already recommended Quantas to friends.

Had a lovely evening here with my husband on an impromptu "Date Night!" Food was delicious...although portions could have been a bit larger! Was a great touch that the Chef actually came out to chat personally to the diners. Very good options for vegetarians on a simple, non busy menu. Very relaxed and intimate atmosphere and great selection of Wines

Nice evening with friends at this friendly charming restaurant just off Chiswick High Road. The staff were attentive without being over fussy and the chef came over for a chat to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. Nice food as well.

What wonderful hosts, with such love for food! This is not a place to go if you are in a hurry, this is a place to sit down, really enjoy the food, and take your time. Lovely place with great contemporary food, definitely worth a try.

I am not giving 5 stars on food because the steak was a bit over, but not to return. Thanks to Eduardo and the rest for his attention.
