It's been a couple of years since I last ate here. Nice surroundings and the service is always very friendly. I just feel the food is overpriced for what it is.

We always visit Quails Restaurant at the F E McWilliams site every time we visit home on vacation. Staff are friendly and helpful, plenty of seating if you have a few people in your party. From a simple coffee and tray bake to lunch and dinner everything is always great. This time we had their Chicken & Bacon Flub Sandwich, Beef Tacos and a few deserts. The quality of their food is wonderful and at a great price range.

We always take the opportunity to have lunch here if visiting The Boulevard. It is so nice to choose something which you may not find in many other lunch venues. Food dishes have been chosen and assembled freshly and with care, in order to present a plate of tasty lovliness. It certainly gets my vote!

We went to Quails as usual when visiting The Boulevard and had a very enjoyable lunch. We were told they had a new Mexican head chef who was pushing some new dishes. My order of chicken burrata salad bowl was lovely, and with just the right amount of spiciness, it was memorable. My wife went for one of her favourites...prawn open sandwich...which she said was lovely. Most of the old favourites that we have previously enjoyed are still on the menu so we look forward to coming back soon.

Two middle age females attending this restaurant and my goodness what a mistake. A staff member Henry is a very obnoxious individual. Henry attempts to over power guest attending by making the service about him whilst unable to meet guest needs. Staff could help this individual with the meaning of the word hospitality. Would not return to this venue.

It's over three years since we made it here for lunch as a result of repeated lockdowns, and the last time we were in Banbridge the restaurant was closed. Very disappointing. This time we were lucky and enjoyed the chicken liver pate and chicken caesar salad. The restaurant was uncharacteristically empty so the service was quick and the food as tasty as we remembered.

I visited here with my mum for a nice relaxing lunch and was shocked at the Limited menu and the prices. My mum ordered the quiche which was quite dry which came with a few salad leaves and nothing else, I ordered the duck wrap which was full of noodles and 3 pieces of duck with very little falvour. We shared a portion of patatas bravas which were smothered in a glopey sauce and a load of smoked paprika, not like any patatas bravas I've had before. The cost of this and 2 soft drink was £28! Extremely steep for a meal that didn't deliver on taste.

Called here after absence of several months. Waited for full hour to be served breakfast despite the fact that the restaurant was not full - or even particularly busy. When it came it was simply terrible. Minute eggs ( bantams??) were fried hard and had absolutely no taste. My wife's order for eggs benedict came with hard boiled eggs and a gooey sauce. First cups of coffee were served lukewarm. Promised reduction in price did not materialise and we were charged the full cost which we paid just to get out. Hope this was an aberration and not an indication of present (falling) standards.

We were shopping in Lisburn and decided to go to Quails for lunch which was only a 20 minute drive away along the A1 at Banbridge. Once again I enjoyed the deconstructed prawn salad, as I knew it was good, because the chicken Caesar salad was not available from the menu (unfortunate). My wife opted for the soup of the day which was carrot and a hint of cumin. She makes a lot of homemade soups and says this one is going on the list. Served with both lunches was a tiny perfectly baked oven wheaten loaf.

We have often visited this restaurant at FE MC Williams gallery, usually for breakfast at the weekend. On way back from Belfast this week we decided to have lunch there. The restaurant was very busy. Our order was taken promptly and our drinks were served quickly. We had a wait on our lunch. The waitress did apologise and estimated our main courses would be another 10 mins. Part of the order was soup. We could not understand the length of time taken to heat & serve a bowl of soup. The soup was brought out last! The food when it arrived was excellent however the wait had somewhat spoiled our lunch. The restaurant did give us a few pounds off the bill however this was less than the cheapest item ordered which was a coffee. We did notice other tables which also appeared to have waited on their order as long as ourselves. Would think twice before returning for lunch in future.

My wife and I heard the food was good here. Problem was we went twice recently and couldn't get any food. We went on a Sunday after reading their sign on their gates that says Monday to Sunday breakfast and lunch is served. We arrived to be told that the kitchen is not open on a Sunday and all that is on offer is pastries, etc, probably sitting from Saturday or even Friday like. Soooooo, we were passing the area again during the week there. I said come on we will try in here again. It was shortly after 3 r so. The waitress told us that the kitchen had just closed for the day...we decided to get a coffe an bun because we were hungry. 3 other people came in after us, I heard the waitress explain to them that the kitchen was not serving food anymore, I thought no more of it, until I got up to leave and literally as I was leaving the waitress was serving them club sandwiches and fries, FOOD FROM THE KITCHEN! This is a not acceptable. Why do they get to order food from kitchen and not other people? Other people obviously get preference over other people for some reason. Was my money not good enough for you them? One of these customers did seem to know some of the staff, so maybe its all about who ya are in here. Who knows, who cares, I will not be back in this pretentious place. Shambolic

Went here today for the first time with my toddler for lunch. It is a lovely place but left disappointed in my options. If you are vegetarian you are limited to a goats cheese salad and sides of chips or mash, it's was a cold snowy day and I wanted something to share with my toddler and I'm fairly certain she wouldn't have appreciated a salad. I noticed 3 different toasted sandwiches on the menu all containing meat so I asked if it would be possible to get one without meat, after the waitress speaking to the chief the answer was no and my options were still salad, sides or soup which thankfully happened to be potato and leek that day. I was even offered mash with gravy made from beef stock as an option for my lunch? I saw everyone else's meals come out which looked lovely if you eat meat.

Three on the plate with very arty brush of beetroot and a few grapes with candied walnuts and a flower on the plate, I know it was edible but I left it. It was the only thing I did leave though. There are a mixture of light bites and big plates on the menu, I like this idea. When the food eventually arrived my wrap was actually burnt on the underside and crispy all over, returned it and got a replacement. My point is that this burnt offering should not even have been put on the plate! Bad management like this will quickly give any restaurant a bad name and it's downhill from there. Definitely worth a visit and this place has a quite busy breakfast trade. My only complaint about Quails at the Gallery is that it is a cold atmosphere to dine in. When the big doors open into the garden during the winter the wind just rushes through the dining area and it is COLD! I see there have been overhead heaters added since my last visit and honestly they have made little impact. In essence if you are ok wearing your coat then the food is good. Enjoy.................

Very highly recommended restaraunt. Lovely location, plenty of parking, beautiful food and excellent and efficient staff, all combining to make for a very nice meal. Looking forward to my next visit. 10/10Not a planned visit, we called in en route elsewhere - and couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. Lovely location and premises, plenty of parking, with the added bonus of fabulous sculptures adding a touch of culture to the experience. The menu was sophisticated, interesting and varied, while recognising food intolerances. The squid was excellent with the perfect balance of heat and flavour, as was the soup. And the service was warm

have eaten here many times and while the food is always delicious, I did experience a few very negative visits when my children were young and a little noisy or having a terrible-twos tantrum, the staff made me feel awful and the other patron just the same- not family friendly if you have little ones! a bit snobbish I would say

It has been a while since my family and I have ate at quails at the gallery and on returning on Saturday 5th September I am very pleasantly surprised. We were seated promptly and our delicious food was brought out in good time, the staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating and the new counter looks great! We will definitely be returning in the near future and telling others about our experience.

This is quite a different café to the other Quails down in Banbridge town. There is a good selection on offer and it is all very nice although a little more expensive to eat in than it's sister branch. The biggest downside of this café is how cold it can get. The bi-fold doors/windows are incredibly draughty and although we were there early August it was so cold inside with people wandering in and out accompanied by huge gusts of wind. There is no apparent heat in the Gallery either - the experience is rather like eating out of doors so my advice is yes definitely go there but be prepared - have a wrap or coat with you for your own comfort.Staff and speed of service ok. Food is ok too.

We took our young grandchildren for lunch. First of all they ordered their favourite sausages and chips from the kids menu. We were told there were no sausages left.Thought this was a bit strange being "Quails" When it came to dessert there was ice cream included. We were told there was no honeycomb left and only chocolate or strawberry. These arrived in tubs straight from freezer and were rock hard. Had to wait for about 10 minutes for them to slightly thaw ! We had the burgers which were just ok. Service was very slow and children were bored. There seemed to be young people running the place and did not seem to have a lot of interest. On paying the bill we commented about the sausages and ice cream. Were told they had been busy and just run out ! Thought this strange as it was only coming up to 12.30.Will definetly not be back. Expensive also for what you get. Would not recommend.

Went to meet an old friend for coffee and a catchup a few days ago at "Quails at the Gallery", we were both seated quickly with outstanding views of the garden and sculptures. The waiting staff took our orders promptly and were able to tempt us into trying the roulade and cherry pie from the dessert cabinet. The coffee arrived quickly and they both had gorgeous designs in the milk foam, as well as this the desserts were both served with ice cream and on well dressed plates. We were comfortable enough to stay for a long time, and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. All in all a marvellous day out and I couldn't recommend the place enough!!!

Very disappointing for coffee and service was slow. Bitter tasting coffee which is not cheap! Time to source better coffee. Gallery is let down by this omission.

If you are visiting Banbridge, this is a great little place to eat. Nice Surroundings and nice food. It can get quite busy but after eating the tourist information gives plenty of ideas what to see during your visit.
