This was our first time at Q bar as it was my brothers birthday, we was greeted by Emidio who was first class at his job. He made us so welcome and the food was delicious. We will return very soon. Amazing evening !!!

To be honest, we only went to the Q Bar and Kitchen because we were after a decent breakfast for both myself (the vegan) and my partner (the carnivore) and we really didn't want to go back to Eatwell (who should be glad that I was taking a break from reviewing when I last went, because it wouldn't have been a good one!). Sometimes, taking a chance works out and I'm glad we chose this place to eat while in Beckenham. The vegan breakfast (avocado, hummus, mushroom, tomato, mixed seeds and sourdough toast) was not only delicious but pleasantly filling as the portion was bigger than you usually get for something similar (most venues tend to be stingy with the avocado). The combination of textures was perfectly balanced - so much hummus and avocado could have left the dish feeling overly wet but the chewiness of the sourdough and the crunch from the seeds ensured that this wasn't a concern. Coupled with an almond milk americano coffee, I had a very happy belly afterwards. My partner's Full English (sausage, bacon, beans, mushroom, tomato, multi-seed toast, and choice of eggs) was also a decent size and apparently delicious too. After opting for a chai latte as well, that made two happy bellies between us! The feedback was that not many places can do a poached egg well and this one was excellent. Service was friendly and efficient, the food arrived in good time, and the venue was clean and nicely decorated. We chose seats outside in the covered verandah as it was a nice day but there were plenty of tables inside too, especially if you prefer a cosier feel or don't like eating as people walk past along the busy high street. Special mention goes to the entrance to the toilet area - as the waitress told me, it's "through the phone box" (see my photo to find out what that means!). The price was reasonable for the portion sizes - £34 for both breakfasts and two coffees - and I've certainly paid more for less in the past. So in all, a good choice for breakfast and my partner is even planning a business lunch there, so that should tell you how much we liked the place. I'm not sure what the "Q" in the name means, but I wouldn't be surprised if it accurately stood for quality.

I saw ppl’s comment that the sushi rice is too small. Yes it’s small but the authentic sushi is like this. The sashimi fish is not small. As an Asian I can tell this is the best sushi in south london;)

The milk in the bubble tea has a fishy taste to it. As thought it was too near the fish in the fridge. Not good at all

Great food, lovely atmosphere and great staff! I love this place. As a single man - I can either go home and cook (no chance) or I can go out for food. Ages ago I found my favourite place. So at least twice a week I come to Q Bar in Beckenham. It is like being with family and friends. The staff are always friendly - warm and welcoming and there are a lot of regulars who like the ambiance, relaxed mood and subtle music in the background. Emedio’s ability to warmly welcome everyone is so nice and if you don’t go got a while, you are missed.

The bubble tea from here is great and the service is very nice, I ordered the iced passion fruit green tea and it was delicious! 10/10

me and my brother order boba regularly through just eat for xentro kitchen and everytime it has been amazing service and drinks are always exactly what we asked for. today we ordered and they gave us a 700ml drink out of the kindness of their own hearts even though we ordered a 500ml. it really was a kind gesture that made us smile. we will always order from here when we can :)

This was our best meal during a one week stay in London. Imaginative, delicious, and ample portions. The staff are friendly and interested in helping you decide your choices. If we were locals, we would go there often.

This is my favourite sushi place. My sister and I love coming here the food is always fresh and the service is always lovely! The California roll is top tier ⭐️

Either I've been exceptionally unlucky with the service here, or they are just incompetent. First visit here, placed order, and waited, and waited. After watching tables who arrived after us, being served we spoke to a waitress who found our order had been mislaid. Eventually the food arrived. After complaining, they took the cost of my coffee off the order. Probably wouldn't have gone back except I had won a voucher for a two course lunch for one. Went with a friend. We both ordered a two course lunch, one coke and a tap water. The food was good. However, a two course lunch for one is £13.95 and yet our bill was £21.50. It's my fault I didn't check at the time. So even if a coke is £3, the bill should have been £16.95. I appear to have been charged £4.55 for service.

8 of us went family and friends. I had lamb cutlets cooked to perfection, cocktails was so good everything was so nice. But what made it extra nice was the young girl who served us jazz or Yazz perfect service.

My aunt found a live slug in her wrap which was really disgusting. The staff just brushed over it and said they do wash the salad well, whichclearly wasn't true that day. Quite a traumatic experience.

I visited Q Bar and Kitchen in Beckham on Wednesday, January 31st, hoping for a family-friendly experience. Unfortunately, the service turned out to be quite appalling. A person named Matthew, who claimed to be the manager, approached my 1-year-old son, complaining about noise without addressing me directly. I reminded him it's a child-friendly place, and my son was only one years old but he dismissively replied, "So, This is not a playground." The situation escalated, involving other customers, revealing there was no actual complaint. The staff's unprofessional behaviour was unacceptable, and I won't be returning.

Great options for vegetarians and vegans, including fake salmon and tuna. I was sceptical to try these at first, but they are great. Highly recommend, and very authentic

Good potential - they have a good range of fish on offer and the quality is reasonable, but the nigiri is the smallest I have ever seen in my life - are they going for a world record? Cost cutting/maximisation is very evident here...

Ordered this salmon set box with Uber with big expectations, but now Im totally disappointed. It looks like they wanted to save on rice since there’s barely any in the sushi, rice is not even expensive so I wonder if they couldn’t be bothered to cook some more. The salmon was just ok, although sashimi was tough and chewy, usually when I order from any other place the salmon melts in your mouth. Here some pictures showing the amount of rice I had… Ridiculous never ordering here again!

We popped in here on the off chance of grabbing dinner and a drink before the Fireworks display at the park around the corner. We were really limited and tight on time as we arrived ~1 hour before the display started. We were greeted by a smiley and friendly chap who managed to seat us pretty quickly and the young waitress took our order within 5-10. The Hot Mezze starter was delicious, my partner's lamb chops were delightful and my seafood pasta was ok. I also had an old-fashioned cocktail which was half-decent [nothing to write home about but good given where you are]. I've been here previously and have never really been disappointed. It's a good spot for family dinners, couples, and friends and also for a group celebratory dinner as we had a few years ago. I would caution that if this place is busy and you desperately need the toilet since it's a small toilet [1 in, 1 out] you could well be in for a wait. Overall, it's a lovely little spot.

Got a broken cup delivered and drink leaked every where. Just eat won't refund me because they don't believe me! I have to send the photo evidence which I don't have as any normal person would disguard leaking milk instead of taking photos! Waste of money

Have been to the Q Bar Beckenham many times before. Have tried the two course lunch menu and the sunday roast. Went today with my Father in law for the roast. It was awful, soggy roast potatoes, under cooked veg, tough grisely beef, nice Yorkshire pudding though. Considering the price they charge for it they really need to do better. Will go back for the two course lunch but not the Sunday Roast.

Love this place, me and my partner usually only go for their bubble tea. Which btw I am very picky about and this is my fave as their fruit teas are mixed with fresh fruits. We have then ventured for their sushi which is reasonably priced! Delicious too! We called in advance one time for a large order and staff were so wonderful and helpful with carrying it out to our vehicle.

Looked good and sound good !! But very disappointing Sunday roast! lamb was two fin slices and well done, three small potatoes seemed deep fried and miles away from really tasty roast potatoes. Carrots so aldente then it was really hard to eat!

Although we have looked in at this restuarant previously this was the first time we have eaten here. Food and service were good and a nice surprise at the end of the meal was the offer of complimentary drinks. As Arnie says "I`ill be back".

We had a great server, she was most helpful. The lamb chops were tender and delicious. But sure they were pricey. The fish was cooked perfectly, I would prefer a bit more flavour though. The mashed potato was perfect. The duck rolls were good. The cheesecake was delicious. The latte was extremely bitter for some reason. Ambience was friendly and I will go back.

Had the Mediterranean breakfast at Q Bar for the first time. It was very bland and looked unloved. Could tell it was a rush job despite the place being hardly half full. Far too expensive for what it is £10.95, had a Mediterranean breakfast at other cafes in the same area they are a lot better. I hope the owner/chef takes it as feedback and improves. I love the decor there! Staff friendlies are very good. Shame about the food quality.

On the whole The Q Bar experience is very good. The food is hot and tasty and there is some variety in the menu. There is a calm relaxed atmosphere to the restaurant and on the two occasions myself and my partner have been, they have accommodated us happily with no reservation.. The helpfulness of the serving staff is refreshing but not very friendly, at time we visited, there wasn’t a smile or an ounce of personality from any one of our servers/ waiting staff. There is the final point of the 10% gratuity add to the bill with out asking us if we even liked our meals. Usually a gratuity is added in this way when you have 10 or more in a seated party, it’s a bit of a stretch for just two in my opinion. If I could dare say how the dining experience at The Q Bar in Beckenham could be improved , maybe the staff serving at the start could be the same as the ones taking the bill at the end, and a smile and the concern that the food is satisfactory. Just gives a nicer dinning experience in my opinion..

This was my third visit. We came with both our mums for Easter Sunday lunch. The service is always spot on, great quality food and such a lovely atmosphere. I love the decoration, this is very important to me. Good quality relaxed dining! The staff are always friendly, cheerful and keen to please. Will go back time and time again.

What a gem, been first time in beckenham . Was surprised with the amount of the restaurant. Went to this gem only for desserts but will make sure soon will be back for a dinner. Overall not great for the prices they charge. The miso soup was large but tasted watered down. Ordered a mixed salmon/tuna don but they forgot the salmon. They then promised to top up more fish next time but didnt offer any compensation/credit.

Sushi here is unbelievably perfect, the selection of fish they give is absolutely exquisite. You can taste rice with the right amount of firmness and vinegar in the nigiri sushi. The people in there are so friendly and welcoming. Brilliant customer service. I've gotten maki and temaki sushi and bubble tea from here and its sooo good. Tried milk and fruit teas. Only criticism I can give is that they prepare things slowly. However, I don't mind too much. Come in here weekly after work and its a perfect pick me up after a day of work and when I'm waiting for the bus.
