We arrived after the specified serving times for breakfast but the person cooking was a bit flustered saying that he thought he had most of the things for a full English breakfast - he did however, send someone to Waitrose next door on a couple of occasions for 'missing ingredients! Coffee and tea arrived promptly and were fine, we then had a long wait for our breakfast by which time other customers had sat down. When our breakfast eventually arrived there was plenty of it, 2 of everything. The tomatoes and mushrooms were fresh and were the best part of the breakfast. The eggs were overdone, the sausages of very poor quality with tough skins, the bacon was overdone and the beans in a pot were dry. The toast was cold and crispy. The person cooking was obviously having problems as he kept going to other customers apologising for various thing like overdone toast, and had to send the waitress to Waitrose again for more ingredients. We would not go there again as it was not cheap. The staff were very pleasant and the tables clean, we did not use the toilet facilities so cannot comment on those. It's a shame as there are very few places offering breakfasts early in the morning so they could do very well.

I asked if they could deliver a bespoke afternoon tea for my sister and was soooo impressed with the service and the food. I was able to choose some aspects of the meal ( cos that’s what it was) and the communication was excellent. Thank for helping to make the day special

Popped in for lunch. This was just OK. Would not have eaten there if I had used the toilet facilities.. Honestly, all the notes stuck on wall and door telling customers that the toilet did not flush well. How about just getting it mended and cleaning it. Overheard the owner talking about how he was going to progress the business and I really should have said something, but didn't. Brought bread on the way out because it did look promising. Round artisan loan. Hadn't been proved enough, so was very heavy and again not good. The staff were very friendly though. Needs to do better I'm afraid.

The staff in this place are really friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. I am a gluten free eater and vegetarian. My partner is a complete carnivore. We ordered two breakfasts, despite my fussy requests, both breakfasts were excellent, served in a timely manner, by the nicest, kindest staff. The food was lovely. They have a bakery so we stocked up for, my partners lunchboxes, before we left. Just the best place to eat breakfast in Bridport.

Visited for lunch. Found the floors looking like they have not seen a mop of broom for ages. The wooden slatted table we sat at had a large build up of crumbs and food debris inbetween the slats. The counter girl "Sarah" had a dirty bandage around the palm and wrist of her left hand yet still was holding the rolls with no gloves whilst filling them. Very unhygienic. We visited Punch and Judy on our first trip to Bridport. Nice and close to the car park behind Waitrose. We visited with our little baby in her pushchair. There was a little room for the buggy to squeeze in but Baby became a bit antsy so we took her out unfortunately just as our food arrived. The ladies offered to have the baby while we ate. It was the first time we've managed to eat out at the same time as each other so this was great! The food was lovely and came with a good sized salad. We'd return here again.

Punch and Judy Bakery is a small business with a giant reputation, along with the fresh bread and cakes made on site they sell other treats as well. They are constantly busy, often with a queue of people wanting to buy their goods. If you fancy something to eat in their little cafe, it's right there on site but separate from the shop, with a small counter and a handful of tables all covered in red and white gingham oilcloth table coverings and a team of really friendly staff. They have a Small Menu which is competitively priced. When we go for breakfast which we do from time to time it is definitely a treat, for what you pay (last time we paid £13.50, for the 2 of us, which includes your breakfast, hot toast and butter portions, plus a drink) it's so well worth it. They are very generous with their portions, and as everything is cooked to order for you, you do have to wait a little while, however, after a few moments your large portion of hot toast and separate butter portions arrive, ready to eat while you wait for the main attraction to be placed before you, and it is most definitely well worth the wait.PUNCH AND JUDY maybe a small business but it's definitely 'A GEM AND A GIANT' here in Bridport We would DEFINITELY recommend.

The pasties were delicious, the ham roll well made with good portion of ham and lovely fresh salad, the Dorset Apple cake and the Farmhouse cake were both scrumptious. We said the cakes were delicious and asked where they got them from and was told that they are made on site by a 'lady out the back'. Well done to that lady, they were very good. I can recommend this bakery as the place to go in town for freshly made bread, savouries and other delicious delights. Staff are always really friendly, helpful but most importantly of all, welcoming. We popped in here for a late lunch and ordered one ham and one cheese plough mans.We were told that there was no coleslaw, but we went ahead with the order. There were only four tables occupied. The customers that came in after we did got served with food, we had already waited a good while, after about 20 minutes we saw the cook come out of the kitchen and chat with some of the staff. My husband then asked when our meal might come to be told that they had forgotten about us!Eventually the meal came. It said on the menu that it would be served with home made chutney, I do know Branston when I see it. Also pickled onion, there was none so we again approached the staff and were told that they had no pickled onions. When we pointed out that it said so on the menu, we were then served with some shredded onion in vinegar. As Waitrose is right next door, I wish that I had popped in for some coleslaw and a jar of onions. We still payed the full price. Not recommended by us I am afraid.

I travel to this area a few of times a year and like to try local bakeries in the hope of buying some good local bread. The last twice has produced nothing more than what I would call mass produced super market bread. The texture and flavour is just that - and am paying well over odds for it as well. I dare say they are buying it in or are warming part baked dough from a mass produced source. It's hopless stuff - bland and doughy. Next time i am in Bridport I will try the bakers about 100 yards away and hope that is better.PS The girls behind the counter could do with a shake up and learn how to talk to people and not behave like robots going through the motions of the bare minimum to finalise the transaction

The food was poor (microwaved beef lasagna and tuna mayo sandwich), the staff were dis-organised, and the floor under each table had food scraps of varying quantities. When the food finally arrived I asked again that the table be cleared at which point a cloth was used to clear the table only where the plates were placed!

Visited the Fun Factory on a rainy day with my baby. To book in, other children in the waiting area were running into his pram. The gates were hard to open. Upon arrival, we were told, that the only available tables were upstairs and there was no lift! I had to carry the baby and pram up the stairs. Walking through the downstairs department was like trying to run through a jungle. We finally got to our table which was covered in what looked like chewed food and saliva and all over the chairs too. I am aware that soft play areas are noisy but this was more than that. I took the baby down to play in the under 3's section which was a tiny cage. There weren't many activities for him to play with. The baby mirror in there was dirty, the ball pit was over crowded. To get on the slide, it was a climb and with a baby, it proves impossible. Older children were coming in the baby section and scaring him and leaving the gate open which I was furious about. The sensory toys were broken. A 7 year old girl was in there throwing balls at him too and I had a go at her mum and told them to get out. I told a member of staff and they did nothing about it. He also had some lunch there which looked cheap and processed. You could literally see the fat dripping off it. You are apparently allowed to take the babies in the older children's play area but I was straight away put off when i saw the filth on some of the children's socks and the rate they were running around! In order to make this a better place you really need to add a lift, make a better play area for babies, get friendlier and more helpful staff, healthier food, clean the place and maybe even give it a revamp, buy more toys for the baby area and in general make it more appealing. Until Fun Factory up their game, I'm certainly not going back. Unless you want your babies to have a day of being in the worst play area of all time, don't come here!
