A small shop on Fore Street (renowned for its indie businesses), which sells fine wine, excellent keeved cider & exquisite cheeses. In the evenings (think only weekends?) it becomes a bar, with cool music & delicious snacks.

Fantastic independent wine shop that sells top-quality, very local cheese from a glass cabinet. The co-owner Alex gave us shavings and talked us through the Beerleigh Blue (creamy, tangy), Baron Bigod (brie-like) and Wandering Ewe (fab!). We took all three home to eat with Fresh Flour Company crackers. Delicious! My daughters cider preference is fruity, so we bought a bottle of Pilton's Scarlette Sharpe to drink later. It's lightly carbonated which sharpened the soft fruit flavour. I enjuoyed it and say that as a non-cider drinker. This is a great local business run by two passionate people that I'd thoroughly recommend. We were down from Hampshire for the weekend and hope to return to Pullo. Next time, we'd like to try some of the organic wine.

This wine bar is now at 137 Fore Street. As others have said a superb and huge collection of wine sold by the glass or bottle, a variety of ciders and an artisanal perry (that's pear cider for the uninitiated). There is a nice selection of English cheeses and charcuterie too. The owner is very knowledgeable and it's a relaxed atmosphere. Not a large place, not inexpensive(largely dependent on your taste and budget) but if you want to savour and/or explore different tastes definitely worth a visit

This excellent wine bar has now moved to 137 Fore Street in Exeter It still has a superb and huge selection of wine sold by the glass or bottle; good cider from the UK and France and an excellent range of quality cheese The wine knowledge of the staff is really good, they are helpful and friendly, however because the wines are indeed top quality it is certainly not cheap, but in this world you get what you pay for......and the end result is certainly worth the high prices If you love really good wines and are prepared to pay, then this is the place for you I highly recommend Pullo to you as I haven't come across a better Wine Bar outside London!

Café increíble y queso y pan peligrosamente sexy. Luego está la gama más maravillosa de vinos y sidras, no barata pero muy buena. Incluso una selección de vinos portugueses, y normalmente intentan beberlo todos ellos mismos.

New wine bar type place. Super clean & interesting selection of wines , ciders & cheeses. One big table to share but it works. Decent welcome & service. Noticed they did toasted sandwiches & pop up eats. On a busy road but it very worthy of a visit.

I visited Taco-Macho for a family birthday recently. The restaurant is in the upstairs of the Cuckoo Taproom so plenty of of opportunity for pre and post dinner drinks. Gustavo, Taco Macho owner, is a really generous host, his food really is utterly delicious and I could probably eat there every day! :) Everything is very reasonably priced and the restaurant space is small and chilled. There is also the option to have your food in the pub downstairs. Highly recommended!

Generally don't submit bad reviews - life too short, but was quite offended by this place. First ever visit here today, tho I often come to Exeter and go to lots of cafes with my laptop to work, and generally have a good experience. So went in and approached the counter, where the staff quite honesty looked annoyed at my presence. Was curtly told to take a seat, which I did, and then come back and order. Found a seat and went back to counter and asked for the £6 bacon sourdough sandwich and hot drink deal. Again, staff were quite unfriendly and then rang up the order and asked for £8 something. When I pointed out that it was £6 they looked really fed up and the manager tried to make out that I was ordering the wrong thing for the deal, which I wasn't. I then went back to my table and asked if I could work on my laptop and plug it in (something I always do out of basic curtesy). The sandwich came and had one rasher of bacon in it, and the cortado I'd ordered was the worst rendition of that Spanish classic I've ever tasted - 6 quid for that!! Anyway, I ate (as was hungry - this was my breakfast), worked for a bit on my laptop and left about 40 mins after I'd gone in. The staff completely ignored me as I left, even as I attempted to say goodbye. The bad food I can accept - its basically for students who know no better, so the place can rest on its laurels - but I was treated by the staff as though I was just some enormous turd that they didn't want in there. They were clearly students, and I guess it being Exeter, were of the spoilt, self-entitled variety who feel that basic manners don't apply to them? Who knows - anyway, won't be going there again!!
