Puccini Pizza in South Ribble

Ordered pizza many times from here but have to say not as good as they were. Last pizza I ordered was dry. the topping was very poor. Handful of cheese. Not good This was delivered not eaten in the restaurant

I went today 13th Jan 2024 for a birthday meal for my daughter and went with her grandparents and have to say it didnt disappoint lovely pizzas as a always. 😊

Simply the best pizza in Preston. We sat in to have it. Great service, very polite and helpful waitress and the food outstanding. Glad I only live down the road as we will be back.

I had family round last Saturday night and ordered a takeaway for us and although I can’t complain about the food, which myself and my family really enjoyed, I was a little disappointed that although I spent £147 with you we didn’t even receive a free garlic bread as a thankyou gesture?

Ordered a takeaway recently and overall enjoyed it! We got a cheesy garlic bread which was delicious and we were both in the mood for pasta so we got a Carbonara and an Arrabbiata. The Arrabbiata was delicious and a big portion so we had it again the next day, really tasty! The Carbonara needs work, definitely not made in the traditional way with eggs etc fair enough but if you are going to substitute the classic ingredients it needs flavour! Ours was just like they threw a tub of double cream on the pasta with cheap ham, 0 seasoning! Ideally from an Italian restaurant the carbonara needs to be amazing and traditional! We will deffo be returning tho :)

What a great place this is. The food, service, and ambience were all brilliant. We went on a Friday night, which is music night - they always have a live act on. The singer was great, which added to what was a really good atmosphere. I had Penne al'arrabiata and it was one of the best I have ever had. I would recommend you book a table especially if you visit over the weekend. The restaurant was quite full, and although the staff were clearly very busy, they always kept checking we were ok and the service over all was so friendly and helpful. The beer was great, and they also have a good selection of wines and cocktails. Moreover it isn’t expensive. Superb quality and superb value for money. If you want a good night out this is the place to go. In my opinion it’s the best in Penwortham. We had a brilliant night. Thanks to all the staff. We’ll definately come back again.

Lovely little Resturant, Regularly come and visit with a group of friends on Friday Evenings, For their ever popular Music Night! Nick Spencer is Brilliant & the Atmosphere & Pizza is Unreal, Food is outstanding & Staff are incredibly lovely! Highly Reccomend this venue. Cannot Wait to Return.

We came here one evening with our 2 kids. We each had something different ranging from pizza to seafood pasta and all loved it. Plus kids ate free. Would definitely recommend and will be back very soon!

Turned away at 07:15 with another couple because they had closed due to no customers! Need to decide whether they are really opening a restaurant. After spending 40 to 50 quid week there since they reopened we won't be going back.

Two 16" margeritas fed a family of 4.fantastic value for money, pizza was piping hot and the whole thing was yummy. We'll be back!

Just do yourself a favour and ignore all the bad reviews.. Seriously, all I can imagine is they are naive or they are the local opposition. I live some 150 miles away and have use Puccini 3 times now as it is located close to a family member.. Service is very good and punctual, which was particularly welcome bearing in mind the last time was 8pm on a Saturday. Try the place..

I guess they didn't have time to leavened the pizza dough for some reason, the pizza itself wasn't so bad but it has not risen consequentially when cooked it was flat and hard like a biscuit. I mentioned it on their Facebook page several times but each time it was removed, not very honest on their behalf. I encourage Puccini to allow all reviews good and bad and leave it to the public to decide.

Used to get pizzas regularly from Puccini when it first opened. BUT then they had a refurbishment of the premises, and the prices of pizzas increased, and the toppings on pizzas decreased! During the lockdown, we decided to give Puccini another try, and wow, they have come up trumps. Delivered by pleasant staff to our door. Food piping hot. Plenty of toppings on pizzas, and tasted delicious. My favourite is the pulled steak & blue cheese pizza. Hubby uses goes for bolognaise pizza. The tomato garlic bread was also very tasty. Having been here a couple of times last year I've told everyone I know how wonderful it is but last night we treated ourselves and it was such a let down. It took over an hour to deliver considering how close we live and when the pizza and garlic bread arrived they were rubbery and cold and so dry. I'm gutted but I wont be recommending this place again to anyone.

Their two-for-Tuesday deal is really good value and I have always found the pizzas to be delicious and the service in the shop equally good. If anything I'd say that the already-high standard of the previous owner has been surpassed by the new people.Their Facebok competitions are fun too. Recommend.

Ordered some pizzas for delivery, was told it would be 40 minutes. An hour later I rang and was told it would be 10 more minutes. No apology, finally arrived an hour and a half after I ordered. Again no apology, don’t order if you’d like to eat hot pizza that arrives in a reasonable time

Fortunately I had not read any reviews before ordering food from Puccini Pizza as it’s clearly not reliable with 1 and 5 star reviews only a short time apart. I found the food to be excellent with well topped and cooked pizzas and garlic bread, a very generous portion of chips and really good garlic mushrooms. If it was always like this I’d be surprised to see anything less than very good ratings. We didn’t use the delivery due to time so I cannot comment on this. However going to the premises I was happy to see it looked very clean, around the kitchen, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Generally very well priced too. I’d go again but I hope the standard remains the same.

Rubbish absolutely rubbish this visit. Been before and was beautiful but this time the pizza looked undercooked and tasted undercooked.

As ever I was not disappointed in puccini it’s consistently stayed tasty. The halloumi burgers are amazing. As to the other reviews, I collect so I don’t know about delivery but whenever I’ve rang up to order I’ve understood the accent/language of the person answering. But I’m not ignorant

Ordered 2 pizzas tonight, was told it would be 30-40 mins, rang after nearly an hour to be told, the pizzas had not even been made and would be at least another 30 mins! Offered us a free garlic bread 🤣🤣. Don’t bother.

If you are going to take telephone orders please employ people that speak english. Two Separate calls two different people answer. Not one word of English between don't bother they are useless. Last three reviews all one star's I can see why.

Rang on Sunday evening 5.45 pm. This was our first order from here, we wont be bothering again. Rang with our order told it would be about 30 to 40 mins for delivery, 1 hour later still not arrived, my husband rang them to be told should be with us any minute, 20 mins later still not arrived rang again to be told same again. We had had enough by then so told them to cancel the order, young girl I spoke to didnt seem bothered. 15 mins later it arrived, my husband told the driver we had cancelled the order, again oh ok, not at all bothered, took it away with them. I had read other reviews saying about terrible delivery, should have taken more notice. Needless to say we will not be ordering from them again, absolutely shocking service unless you want to eat your evening meal at bed time.

So, a Sicilian pizza with chicken, mushroom and pineapple managed to be cooked without ANY mushrooms or pineapple. Even the chicken was cheap, preformed square lumps of chicken. Tasted very poor, VERY expensive and will not be going again.

Can’t say a bad word about the food, absolutely lush. Will have to reconsider using this takeaway however as they have hiked their prices since the refurb.

Yo siempre solía disfrutar de las pizzas de Puccini. Sin embargo, después de la re-reformen los precios han aumentado alrededor del 25%, lo que me parece totalmente injustificable por la comida. Ahora se muestra el menú de pizzas para llevar a precios de restaurante. En mi primera visita ya que el que las reformen, nuestro habitual dos pizzas había aumentado en el precio de 13 libras. 50 a 17 libras. 50. No volveré en el los precios.

It took nearly 2 hours to our take away for 7 people to arrive. I ordered tagliatelle. It was sticky with hardly any sauce. Disgraceful service and quality.

Bien, déjame ser sincero, pizzas aquí varias veces al mes y están siempre muy buena y caliente. Sin reparos. Esta noche traté de circunvalación desde unos 9. 10 para pedir un pan de ajo para cobrar como vivimos a menos de 5 minutos. Teléfono sólo resonó y fuera. Intenté varias veces pero no hubo respuesta. Pensamos que pueden ser ocupados, así que llegamos a unos 9. 20. La gente espera y personas dentro de la tienda todavía dentro. El chico delante de mí intentó pedir una pizza y me dijeron que estaban cerrados. Le pregunté a qué hora cierran y me dijeron media hora después. Incluso su reloj no era a las 9. 25.

I thought Dick turpin was dead!!!!! Just visited puccini after refurbishment & will not be going back, prices have shot up after refurbishment quality & quantity has not gone up, measly portion size, looks like the customers got to suffer to pay the price of a re-fit, best be careful they dont lose all their custom, plenty of nicer takeaways in the area. 1 garlic bread mexicana £5 & 7 shriveled mushrooms with a measly amount of garlic £3.50 #iwillnevervisitagain

We ordered our usual order and since the refurbishment the cost has increased by 50%! The servers didn't know the new menu and got the price wrong and also for wrong size of pizza. When we complained they answered back and were unpleasant. We got home and they had also got the order wrong further! no cheese on garlic bread. I rang to complain and they did send the right I order out with free pepsi. But no apology and an excuse that we must have got it wrong! Now for the actual food...The pizza base was under cooked. The cheese was not mozerella and overall it was not very nice. For the extra £10 I would have hoped for much better pizza and service. We have used Puccini's for years but this will be our last time due to rubbish food and price increase. Utterly awful.

Just eaten here after the refurbishment. Food was terrible. Was told twice before ordering that the food had gone up because of the refurbishment. Pizza - cold, undercooked and tasteless. Burgers - burnt, cheesy was black and crispy. Pasta - was extremely thick. Tasted of cheese even though there was no cheese in it. Rang to complain and manager asked me if I didn't like the burgers how they serve them. Does anyone like burnt burgers and black cheese? Will never ever be eating her again!

I love puccinis, the pizzas are proper Italian thin base pizzas and the ingredients are all quality :)

The pizza's are the best in the area, the food is alway great, brilliant variety of food. Delivery is fast though it's quicker to collect.

Ordered through just eat for collection. Ordered spaghetti bolognaise, Mexican garlic bread and garlic mushrooms. Mushrooms were half cooked and dry with no oil or butter. Opened the garlic bread box and there's a chicken pizza with BBQ sauce all over it. I rang them and they said they'd make one and I could collect. So I put some butter on the mushrooms and put in the oven with the spag bol. Went back to the shop which is about 2 miles drive. Told them so I was. "oh OK"... No apology at that stage. 5 mins later he comes with two boxes and said there's a free garlic bread. Not that I wanted it but he did apologise then. Got in the car and went home. Mushrooms are now cooked and moist with butter. Opened the plain garlic bread and it's streaming hot. Opened the Mexican garlic bread and it's stone cold so they'd obviously just given me the one that they should have given me in the first place! Opened the spaghetti bolognaise and its linguine! I know it's just another pasta but I find it too heavy. If the staff spent less time in their phones they might get the orders right. I won't be going again.

Ordered take away this evening for the first time after a recommendation. I am glad I did get recommended. We had a pizza, garlic mushrooms abs spicy chicken. The pizza was amazing, it was a Steak N Blue and was absolutely amazing. A strange combination on a pizza but an amazing taste. I highly recommend this place. Very tasty and good vale.

It's not that far from where we live so if you want a fresh tasting pizza with a great thin base then try Puccini.

We went here with our son, his partner and her family.Staff are brilliant, as is the food. Service was really friendly and at the right pace. There were 8 of us, and everyone enjoyed their food.We will be back.It is quite small, so booking ahead is probably a good idea.

We always get a big family take away and Puccini never let us down! The bases are thin, an even amount of cheese and tomato and toppings. Not too heavy or left hungry. We love Puccini

We've just had pizzas from here after ordering for years and it was totally different. They were topped with just normal cheese instead of mozarella so it was like having a supermarket one! It's been a bit hit and miss for a while but this has totally put us off!

Come here a few times a month, always order Penne Arrabatta with chicken and garlic bread. The pizzas are lovely especially the Big Puccini. :-)

Always will love this place price is respectable and staff are brilliantly trained. Would always recommend this place to anyone!

Have had a takeaway from here many times. This is our local.Delicious pizzas always, garlic bread lovely and never dried out. My favourite is the Big Puccini, has lots of toppings. Only downside is. if you order food to be delivered, it isn't always piping hot as they have other deliveries. I now go to collect mine as its a short distance.Highly recommend. Will continue to come here.

A superb and reasonable Italian take away! The pizzas are really delicious and as healthy as a pizza can be with light crisp bases! The garlic bread is also a must!

Best pizza outside of Italy! Chicken Sizzle or the calzone are particular favourites. Quick home delivery service too.

I don't normally eat at takaways but was hungry after a beer at the brown hare pub. Asked for a cheese garlic bread with extra cheese. The staff hadn't a clue what they were doing looked like the local girls school had taken control of the place. Got home with the food it was the worst cheese garlic bread I have ever eaten . I say eaten I had one mouthful and threw it in the bin. The worst £4 I have ever spent in my life it's put me off Italian takeaways for life. Keep away it's rubbish.

As a family run business we like to show our staff our appreciation, so on the last Friday of every month we get around 17 pizzas from Puccini for lunch!- Friendly staff- Our orders are always correct- Excellent quality- Piping hot- Lovely thin bases- Great prices especially the lunch time pizza deal

Ordered 2 pizzas and 2 garlic breads plus garlic mushrooms all 10 inch and tasted great but as I sat waiting the lad making up boxes wiped the snot from his face using the palm of his hand and carried on making boxesOne young girl making pizzas from scratch in a apron but 6 others doing nothing but standing in the food area wearing normal clothes...not nice to watch

Came here twice in a month. We had an offer for 2 x pizzas and one garlic bread for £10 which was excellent. Then we came here again a few weeks later and I ordered a pasta dish (Arrabbiata) and it was great to see the young girl cooked it from scratch rather than taking a ready made meal out of the freezer and reheating. The garlic bread with cheese is to die for. A regular favorite of mine.

Excellent choice of pizza which we have delivered to our door. Really good ingredients and always delivered on time (usually earlier) The base tastes fresh not like the mass produced stuff of other chains. Love it

This past year work have had takeaways from here every Friday of the month.- always been right- kept hot- nice quality - lovely thin bases- great prices, especially the 2 toppings for £4

Four of us ordered pizzas and garlick breads to take home. Everything was well packaged so that when we arrived home, it was still hot. We have had food from here on several occasions and have never been disappointed.

Our favourite takeaway. It's affordable and always top notch. They also deliver now which is even better.
