Proove Pizza in Sheffield

I hadn’t booked and just turned up with my two kids. We decided to order takeaway and waited near a window covered in vapor while the food was being prepared. To pass the time, my kids started drawing hearts and smiley faces on the window, essentially just clearing the vapor. They were very well-behaved and doing absolutely nothing wrong—just keeping themselves entertained during the wait, which was a bit challenging for them. Then, a moody staff member approached and scolded them. It was completely unnecessary and felt incredibly petty. My kids weren’t being disruptive in any way, just drawing harmless little shapes to pass the time. The pizzas weren’t bad (though not particularly great either), but the way we were treated guarantees I won’t be returning. The staff clearly lack emotional intelligence and empathy when it comes to dealing with customers, especially families with children. Such a disappointing experience!

We had our annual friends’ Christmas night out and booked onto the 3 course meal and bottomless drinks and there was 20 of us. We had such a fantastic night. The food was incredibly good. I had veggie bruschetta which was so tasty and the ortolani pizza also just as delicious. Opted for the limoncello shot for pud as a lighter option but after trying my husband’s biscoff cheesecake wish I’d had that as it was phenomenal. The staff were amazing too - very friendly and attentive to our bottomless drinks! Organising the night out was made easy by liaising with Jessica, the manager, who was lovely. All round a great venue, such good value for money, a lovely atmosphere, and central location so handy for bars afterwards. We will be back!

The food is unreal, so fresh and tasty, & it’s always fabulous service. We are regulars with Proove and we won’t be told there’s a nicer pizza restaurant!

We came recently as a family. We were greeted by Florence, a wonderful staff member with a welcoming smile. She personally tended to all of our needs and was lovely for our entire visit. Food came quickly and was delicious, will dine here again

We sat outside on a pleasant day and enjoyed two prosecco in the pedestrianised area. It was a good place for people watching and the staff were very friendly and efficient.

My husband and I had a lovely meal at Proove Pizza before heading to a comedy show nearby. The portions were large and plentiful, so we ended up taking most of it home after enjoying two big starters. There is a good selection of drinks, and the prices are reasonable. The staff were very attentive and accommodating, even allowing us to leave our leftover pizza to collect after the show. Overall, a great dining experience with excellent service. Highly recommend!

We were hungry and Proove certainly delivered. The starters and the pizzas were delicious. Service was good. The Sangiovese was delicious. My only criticism is that it is really noisy due to all the bare, hard surfaces. Love the open kitchen and compliments to the two hard working chefs.

Lovely bar with fantastic atmosphere! Cocktails were lovely and reasonably priced. Staff couldn’t have done more to help and recommend nice drinks.
