Pronto is essentially a very good local deli with a small cafe attached. I was very impressed with the range of regional foods, cheeses, sweets, cakes and savoury pies. The food has a very artisan feel. The staff were great - very friendly and informative. We had excellent sandwiches with interesting combinations of flavours and hot drinks, followed by an irresistible cake. In the event the cafe is full, (it’s tiny), buy a sandwich or pie and follow the age old tradition of eating it in the car.

I feel like a kid in a sweetie shop when I visit Pronto's, (sadly not often enough....as I'm just an occasional visitor to Leek). Beautiful deli\cafe. Had an array of sandwiches, cakes, Italian pastries and THE BEST sourdough I've ever had ( it makes the supermarket stuff pale into insignificance!). Wish I lived in Leek. Lovely ladies serving too.

Hot damn, this place is the best. Love it. If you are the vegan world (and hey, is there any other kind of world), you need to try here. First off they do those vegan cup cakes, they taste great but your boy doesn't really do cake. I used to be really into those cheapo Black Forest Gateuas when I was a kid until a rather unsavoury incident with one at school camp. Anyway, straight to the great stuff, they do these curried wraps, total mouth heaven, all kinds of flavours, all vegan. SOLD! But the best, and I am not even sure I should broadcast this, the Mushroom and Sage Rolls, MAMMA MIA, these are the best. I treat myself every weekend to a few. The wonderful ladies who work here always try to get me to have them warmed up, no way, I ain't got time for that, in my mouth. You can sit in here too, but man has no time to sit. Another great thing, they have chains for a door, that's right, CHAINS, I love being hit on the way in/ way out, by these crazy chains. It's almost like they built this place for me. And it wouldn't be a review if I didn't mention want clinches this place as my number one go to for nibbles, my boy Patryk, yeah the guy from the office. He will not even venture in because they serve vegan food, that's right, he believes that shops must serve meat and meat only. He's probably chomping down on some Polish smoked bacon right now. Well the jokes on him, this place rules. And Patryk? He does not.

Tried this place as my usual place whilst in leek has lost its way, and I’m so glad we did ham and blue cheese panin /bacon roll were of the best quality and this you could taste in every mouthful even the smell inside this place makes your mouth water the vast array of authentic Italian food is impressive. Flat white coffee I’d asked for it Italian style where it wouldn’t be boiling hot was served bang on what I wanted and the coffe has a really nice nutty flavour. Bakewell slice you could taste the butter in it it was that good. Great place to sit outside and people watch in the sunshine genuinely pleasant staff. BIG THANK YOU now my place to visit in Leek will be returning

Wednesday is market day in Leek and my friend and I regularly stop after shopping at our favourite place - Pronto. It is a lovely deli with friendly and efficient staff. There are 2 or 3 tables inside but if the sun is out, sit outside and pretend you are on holiday! Enjoy a freshly made filled roll, sandwich, wrap and so much more. Then have cake! So good and so inexpensive (as this is primarily a delicatessen rather than cafe) but you can't beat it. My current favourites are the made to order turkey and salad rolls, vegan mushroom rolls and carrot cake. Coffee and tea are both excellent! So much to choose that 'cake Wednesday' has progressed to Saturday as well!

Love the food in this place, a good selection of cheese and some really interesting speciality produce. Sadly, the coffee is a let down, simply because they make it far too hot, so it becomes bitter as the coffee is burnt. Cappuccino should be at at absolute maximum of 60°c, to appreciate the full flavour however, 55°c is favoured, it should be no where near tea at 100°C! Sorry to nitpick, I hope it's taken as a friendly tip. Regardless of that, I will go back to purchase more edible treats!

I called to buy some items today and part way through finished my shopping because of a horrid situation. The woman serving me cut my piece of pate which she handled without gloves. She then took the knife to the kitchen and I saw her remove pate from the knife and eat it! She then came back, wrapped the pate and would have continued to serve. That is not good. Another assistant was cutting my meat but with gloves on so I had that and finished my shopping there. Not going back again as I would be too worried.

What a gem of a deli. My mum and I were abit awkward - we asked for variations of what they had on the boards. The staff were so patient and accommodating. When the good came our eyes lit up! I had a panini which I made up- turkey, pastrami, goats cheese, sun blush tomatoes and Branson pickle. It was unreal. The fillings were FRESH and top quality, DELICIOUS!!! we had a walk around leek and then went back for something sweet. I had the malteaser bun and we had some tea. Very yummy! What blew us away was the price of everything - such good value!! Lunch for two was £13. Two buns and pot of tea for two was £5/6. Will be back, sooner rather than later!!!!!

A regular spot for our business lunch. They have an excellent choice of baps, baguettes and paninis. They also have 2 soups on vegetable or tomato but these are a bit inconsistent in their quality. Hot drinks fine but would avoid hot chocolate as the one I had it was lumpy. Certainly worth a visit as you can have custom butties made which is great if you don't like mayo which 100% of high street sandwiches seem to have by default.

Great to go into a Deli where you are not expected to know what you want before you have looked around. ?Owner? clearly understands GF and was happy to discuss options and make helpful suggestions. My husband had a generously filled baguette (he's not coeliac) and I had a Voakes pie which I'd not come across down South. So far, I've bought snacks from the main counter and it's SO hard to choose! The gourmet sausage rolls are very tasty, as is a traditional pasty that I had last time. Small eatery and Deli with excellent food both for sale and for eating on the premises. We went to Leek for the fine food market and walked around this pretty town looking for somewhere to eat. We found the ,'Pronto', but it was too cold to eat outside and the two tables inside were both occupied. However it looked so enticing that we returned there a little later and managed to bag a table. It was so worth it. I had a meat pie with beetroot and coleslaw and it was very very good. The pie filling had lots of good meat, no gristle and no filling stuff. Just meat and a little gravy. My partner had a cheese pie which was also the bees knees. The service was excellent and very helpful. They couldn't do enough for us. Thoroughly recommended, but you might have wait a bit. Also have a look at the deli things for sale. We are planning a special meal and found some excellent chocolate there, especially blended to match certain wines. Not cheap and certainly not usual for us but for this particular occasion a great and interesting find. A great little deli/eatery.

As an irregular visitor to Leek, Pronto deli always features on our trips, however normally it's to take away, but for once, we ate in. Always happy to make something specific to you, we opted for bacon baps and burritos. Staff advised on how spicy things were (I like spicy but not too much so!).Of course, this was followed by cake, and there can be few places that rival Pronto for both selection and quality of cake. My personal fave is luscious lemon, with son opting for chocolate fudge. However I know from experience that nothing disappoints here! Great service, can't wait for my next visit....

The food at the deli is great, but the service is dire. Most of the time the people are impatient (rude to my elderly dad when he was trying to find the type of bread my mum wanted - not cool) but I always thought that was ok. Went on Sunday when the market event was on, and from the moment I went in, it was made clear that serving me was an inconvenience. The woman behind the counter was too busy chatting to serve me, then when she did, stood for minutes with my change in her hand while she finished her conversation. Had to go to the loo (5 mins walk away) and when I got back my coffee was waiting. Unfortunately, the tables are flimsy and on a sloping pavement - as I sat the table went flying and my coffee spilled before I had taken a sip. I told them, and the focus was all on mopping up - but no one apologised, commiserated or offered me a replacement. When I asked for one, the same woman tried to charge me. The friend I was with was appalled. I am sorry, because I have always found them ok, if not exactly friendly. Not sure if the woman who served me was fed up at being open on a Sunday, but it spoiled the whole experience. If you are going to sit and have a coffee, there are better places in Leek.

A brilliant delicatessen selling the most delicious food, all home or locally made also with some Italian influence as they are part of the restaurant next door...Primo Piano. Take away food and drinks available too, delicious! You can sit out side too. If you're planning a picnic take a basket and get it filled from here, it will be like a banquet

Amazing cakes, pies and just an awesome place for a quick bite. I had the huntsman pie and packed full of meat for £3.30. I had to take away a third of it as it was too big for me to finish. I was trying to make room for the dime cake and I had to take away 2 rocky roads for the journey.

Fab little Italian Deli, with lots of choice for lunch. Lovely selection of sandwiches, salads, cheeses, cakes, olives and lots more. Had the best cheese cake I have ever eaten here its was the three chocolate one. Its is a very popular place with one table inside and a few more outside in the street. lots of people calling in for there home made Italian breads and produce.can't wait to go back, my kind of place!!!Give it a try the next time your in Leek

The food is good, i would recommend the pizzas over the pasta. It can get quite loud when it’s busy

Absolutely fantastic. Small and personal. All home cooked. We had a takeaway this time, but im booking a table to take my family. We had a wide range off the menu, so i do feel in position to recommend. Big and fancy no, personal and cosy, yes. More to the point..... the food is ace

We ate in quite a few restaurants and visited twice in our 5 night stay. Once for a simple Pizza but the next for one of their specials. All very good and frankly very good value. Nice friendly staff as well
