Prince's Plaice in Shropshire

I’m new to the area and this is my new local chippy! Portions are generous and lovely staff It is cash only :)

I had chicken kebab meat and chips, the service was fast and courteous, prices were reasonable, portions really generous and the taste really good. They also do a cold drinks cabinet and take-out beer etc. Would use again.

Excellent chippy , always quick service, friendly staff , they can serve several people at a time unlike other slower places .

Delicious fish and chips, good service, good price and great for kids meals. My grandchildren love going there not just because they enjoy the food but because they get a friendly welcome and a lollipop.

Our last night in the UK, we were looking for some good fish and chips. They did not disappoint. A little hard to find but very friendly people, good food and obviously, from all the people coming in, it is the well loved neighborhood fish and chippie.

This is a great chippie. Very good menu with all usual choices, the portions are huge, and fish cooked to order so lovely and fresh. Prices are very reasonable, theres no actual carparking but easy to pull up in front or around the corner.

With some sadness I am withdrawing my earlier praise for Prince's Plaice. When it first opened, in expensively refurbished premises, it was a really good little chippie. But the family started expanding the business, and as a result seem to have lost interest in PP. A number of meals we had from there were inedible and ended in the bin, so we stopped using it. Then a few nights ago my wife ran out of spuds and sent me down there to get just chips. What could possibly go wrong? Well their chips could! Dry and evidence of green spuds used, and stone cold! Sorry Prince's Plaice, but for the time being anyway you seem to have lost the plot.

The best fish and chips in town. We would not go anywhere else, they are always cooked to the highest standard. Staff are friendly too.

Prince's Plaice combines a traditional English chippy with the specialist Turkish cuisine of the owners. It is a spotless little take-away, newly refurbished to a high standard, and with lovely guys who always offer a friendly welcome. Their chips are always fresh and fluffy, and they do the best southern fried chicken in town. A valuable addition to the already wide range of good takeaways in this thriving market town, Prince's is already gaining a deserved high reputation for good food at sensible prices.
