Wow !! Simply wow. Food was absolutely fantastic and we like our food but this was another level. First time in the Prima piano but we’ll be going back again and again. We had steak which was superb, seafood stew incredible, calzone delicious and my wife had a chicken dish which was again superb. Just wow Great service too

Amazing meal at Primo piano once again, consistently good food, not overpriced and the portion sizes are spot on. If you are looking for warm and friendly service and great tasting food primo is well worth a visit.

So me and the wife have just left after a quick grab and eat before a comedy gig. What a special little place this is. By far the best Italian we’ve eaten. The atmosphere of a small traditional cosy restaurant is something that not a lot of places can achieve. Shame we are an hours drive because they would know us on first name basis. Fantastic

We've never had a bad meal at Primo. The food is always fantastic. It's also good value for the quality and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommended!

Easy to find near the market square or car park, on your right as you walk away from it. We had not booked but tried anyway and were fortunate to get the last seats (but only had an hour to eat because the table was reserved). The staff was friendly and courteous. Note: You must walk up stairs to enter, and I do not believe there is disabled access. The restaurant was buzzing, with many people enjoying their dining experience. Despite the fact that they were busy, food arrived fairly quickly. We had two pizzas and two glasses of wine for 36.10, which I thought was a good value.

An excellent restaurant for both its wonderful food and welcoming staff. Homemade scotch egg followed by a beef short rib dinner is a highly recommended choice. You won’t be disappointed whatever you choose.

The best Italian food that we have ever had and that includes our three trips to Italy. A very nice upstairs restaurant which makes you feel as though you are back in Italy. Fantastic food and wonderful staff, we will be back for more.

Visited as part of the Sunday supplement. Food and service were outstanding. Good size portions and delicious. The children enjoyed their meals too. Absolutely looking forward to the next time we can visit.

Sunday Lunch on Market day WOW! You'll not be disappointed. My friends visit leek and love it, they came on the monthly market weekend, what a bonus. We had Sunday lunch, and it was fabulous, quality of food, staff, and everything was just perfect. Beef short ribs were incredible. Huge yorkies!

We decided to go out to lunch for a little celebration. I booked a table having not been in a number of years. We were greeted by smiling staff and shown to out table. From that moment nothing was too much trouble. The lunch menu while not extensive had a range of choices complemented by a delicious specials board. The food was excellent and the portion size’s generous. Despite the small size of the restaurant and the fact that it was nearly full we never felt pressured to hurry. We will definitely be returning.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here on Saturday evening either friends and family. The six of us all received a very warm welcome. All the staff were excellent - friendly, efficient and looked very smart. The ambiance was great. The food was excellent, we all enjoyed our starters, main courses and desserts. It was well presented, tasty, good quality and plenty of good choices available. The restaurant was comfortable with leather upholstered seats and plenty of room for all six guests around the table. I was very impressed by the whole experience and will definitely be returning to Primo Piano!

I can't put into words how lovely this place is, we went as a family of 9 and everything about it was perfect!! The staff, the food, the atmosphere..the most tastiest Italian food ever but don't tell my mum as she is Sicilian..Happy 80th birthday dad, made extra special by this amazing restaurant..thankyou Primo piano 💙

Delicious food and excellent service! We had crispy mozzarella, pork belly and prawn and salmon starters which were delicious, followed by a pizza, calzone and fettuccine mains which were fantastic. Service was attentive without being intrusive. We wish we lived closer.

Wish we had an independent pizza restaurant where we live, especially if it was like Primo Piano. Parking available nearby, decent place, usual sort of restaurant look. Staff, absolutely brilliant, very helpful, very friendly and great service. Pizzas were top notch and cooked to perfection. It was reasonably priced and we would defo go back if we were in Leek again.

It’s not often I’m lost for words when I’m out at a restaurant. Out for Sunday lunch with my wife and two of my children I was advised by the lovely waitress to try the “Short Rib Beef”,she described it as “Stunning “ This was an understatement ! I ate as slowly as possible because I didn’t want the meal to end My wife is vegetarian and a coeliac and dietary needs were catered for wonderfully There are two restaurants that I always look forward to returning to and I am never disappointed. Visited again after a few months away. Delighted to see the same great food and service. Steak was cooked perfectly and it was pleasant to experience a variation to the usual sauce to keep things interesting!

Jus had a delicious take away from Primo Piano. Pizza was amazing with proper, fresh ingredients. Peppercorn Fettuccine was probably one of the best pasta dishes I have had in a very long time. Having decided on Leek as our destination our friends decided on this restaurant based on a previous visit some time ago.The menu wasnt large, which we prefer, and independently all chose the penne salmon and prawn main dish together with traditional garlic bread. The initial wait, bearing in mind we all chose the same, was a little longer than we expected but well worth the wait. The sauce was well seasoned and both salmon and orawns were in plentiful supply. The bread was delicious and proved useful in getting all of the remaining sauce from our plates.The ladies who served us were very pleasant and their attentiveness added to our meal. All in all an excellent meal which made the drive very worthwhile.

Me and my partner ordered takeaway from here (Vegetarian Calzone, Venetzia Pizza, Garlic Bread with Mozzarella, Chips, Lemon Cheesecake and Honeycomb Cheesecake) and we could not have been more pleased! We were so pleased to come across this cosy and welcoming little bistro when looking for a vegan friendly restaurant. All the staff were courteous, friendly and efficient. We shared two flavoursome and satisfying pasta dishes with a mix of mushrooms, peppers, green and black olives and other vegetables in tasty sauces.

We have used primo a lot over the years but haven’t been for a while. That won’t be happening again- sometimes it takes a break from something to realize how good it is! We visited on Saturday evening with friends. Although they had all the precautions in place for covid they had still managed to achieve that primo atmosphere we knew and loved. We all chose different meals including pizza, fillet steak and 2 meals from the special board. All the meals were delicious but the beef short ribs special was genuinely one of the most fantastic meals I have had in a long time(the sauce to die for!!) service was great, friendly but not overbearing. All in all it’s great food and great value for money- we won’t leave it so long until next time primo!

I love primo and have been going for years. The atmosphere is great, and the food and service are all fantastic. Damien is an amazing chef and I could happily eat most of the menu.

I visited last night with family. I had the venison pâté to start and then a fillet steak for my main. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came medium rare, what more could I ask for? The sauce and sides were amazing. I wouldn't class myself as a food snob, I enjoy quality food as well as leaving satisfied and full. I left over-the-moon with the taste and the satisfaction of the evening's food! I would highly recommend to anyone and everyone for any special occasion or even just a late minute decision. My first meal out since lockdown, I decided to go primo piano and I wasn't disappointed. The new steak dish was amazing with my wife opting for the chicken fettuccine, they were both absolutely amazing. There was a great atmosphere, even with reduced seating for social distancing in place. During lockdown we even tried a few cheeky pasta and pizza dishes for us and the kids to share, by far the best takeaway I've had in a long time.Thanks primo I'm looking forward to my next meal out.

(TAKEAWAY) Disappointed. Please don't eat here there are many other great Italian places in leek. Waited for our food & items were missing which they replaced. Got home the the pasta was horrible, the chicken in the pasta was still hard so was obviously cooked from frozen. The chicken al pollo, for some reason was cooked in tomato sauce. The only nice thing was dessert.

The nicest pizza I’ve had for a long time, we came here for an anniversary last year too and it was amazing then too, 10/10 would recommended and visit again and again!

Oh my days, this restaurant is amazing the food is unbelievably tasty and the service is awesome. For my first meal out since lockdown it was amazing the calzone was beautiful, and the chicken with Parma ham in the white wine sauce was ... I have no words which is how we felt at the time too busy eating we didn't even talk for a good 5 mins. Amazing place, fabulous staff never been disappointed. This restaurant is so attractive and welcoming. The food we can only describe as excellent and the service is first class. The whole staff clearly work very hard to overcome the current problems( re COVID )and we recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys food and the overall eating out experience. We can’t wait to return and will certainly be doing so in the near future.

My first meal out since lockdown began and first time back in Leek during the same time period. I travelled up with my girlfriend and as always the restaurant of choice couldn't be any easier. I love Primo Piano and I was gutted that throughout lockdown I couldn't get a takeaway delivered from Primo to London. I went straight for the specials board, as much as I enjoy eating the standard menu, I can't resist indulging. I had the pork fillet with black pudding and belly pork, and indulge I most certainly did. My only complaint is with myself for not ordering a second plate (the portions aren't small, I'm just that greedy). My girlfriend had the starter scallops for her meal and she didn't let me anywhere near it to try as according to her it was too good to share! As always, thank you to the staff and chefs for a great night! Hopefully see you again soon!
