Despite being longtime locals we had never tried Prima before. We had been sucked in by the glitz and glam of Dominoes on the high street. Having seen some positive reviews online we decided to give it a go for a change and we weren’t disappointed. The staff were friendly and very polite when I called in my order and it was ready for collection spot on time. The pizzas had been cooked to perfection. The base was beautifully crisp without being hard and the potatoes were the perfect accompaniment.

Wonderful pizza and friendly people. I would never get pizza from anywhere else in Melton.

It had been years since I last visited Prima Pizza, when I got my first apartment on my own - on the other side of the road, back in 2015. I discovered to my delight today that they deliver, thinking for some time that they didn't - THE best pizza in Melton Mowbray, and always has been. Try the columbo potato, unless you're a vampire - you should fall in love with it.

Took me far too long to discover this gem of a pizzeria. Have ordered several deliveries both at home and at work now, cannot fault the quality of the food or the polite, friendly staff. Always delivered piping hot, exactly to order too. You can really taste the freshness of the ingredients and their Colombo Potatoes might just be some of the tastiest sides around! Although not immediately obvious from the menu, they can usually accommodate gluten free requirements too and their gluten free pizzas are delicious.

Had a great pizza delivered to Eye Kettleby Lakes last year when visiting 6 months ago so being top of my list I had to get another delivery. Again served by friendly staff on the phone and a efficient delivery server. Both pizza's hot and the garlic cheesey potatoes are brilliant. It's a shame I don't live nearer or I would definitely be a regular.

Never had food from here before, but now I will never get a pizza from anywhere else in Melton!!!! So tasty and fresh and it was with us with in 15 minutes of ordering.

We picked our Mexicana pizza up 10 mins ago and it’s already gone! The best pizza I have ever had! The home made sauce is sensational! The gentleman who made our pizza was very welcoming and gave us a box of chocolates with our pizza :) will definitely be back for more delicious pizza!

Amazing hot fresh authentic Italian pizza been using prima since a small child it's our favourite pizza place by a Mile in Melton run a by lovley family business and the Colombo potatoes are my daughters absolute fave thanks as always tonight food was superb 👍👍

Fabulous pizza’s, to die for: made in the Italian way, run by an Italian family. The people are lovely, always very calm, kind, and friendly so you get the best possible experience. I’d give them ten stars, the five stars Google allow aren’t enough. The sides we’ve tried are great too: Columbo Potatoes, Garlic Bread & Italian Meatballs are fabuloso: Grazie (my best effort to speak Italian).

Spent nearly £40 on 2 pizzas and there potatoes that was just par boiled with cheese on the top pizza was dry would not recommend at all for what you pay 👍🏻

Really friendly and helpful, especially as my order had one with no cheese on at all! Really good base, don’t expect crispy like the big chains, moist, fluffy, tasty. Toppings are tasty and quality. The garlic bread with their homemade garlic butter is amazing, proper amounts of garlic!!

Best pizza we have ever tasted Had the pleasure of speaking to the mum who originally started this over 30 years ago and now being run by the son. Had a great conversation whilst waiting for it to be cooked and would gladly travel from Coventry to collect on some rare occasions Please try you will not be disappointed 🙌

My son told me about that pizzeria and after I tried their Chicago pizza, I never bought pizza from anywhere else. And my son loves it! It's a family business and the pizzas are fantastic, the best in Melton Mowbray, with unique tomato sauce they make themselves. And they are very nice people, always polite and friendly. Once you try their pizzas, you will return there every time you want to eat something exceptionally delicious.

Amazing pizza. If you want authentic Sicilian pizza then you must try these guys. Best around. The dough is soft on the inside but delightfully crispy on the outside and you can tell that the toppings are quality sauced. That leads me to the sauce itself. Rich and sweet with just the right amount of basil. This is great pizza.

Friendly staff, always feel welcome and the pizza is 10/10 best in town! I must say if you’re going for pizza their columbo potato’s are a must as an added side!!!

I called at nearly 9.40 pm, not sure whether Prima Pizza would still be open on a Thursday night. They were open and the pizza was ready in 20 mins and was SENSATIONAL.

Really lovely pizzas and very competitively and simply priced compared to the big name stores where you can't buy a single pizza without paying a fortune.

My family have been visiting prima pizza since I was young. As an adult now, it is still my go-to place if I want a pizza. There is no pizza like prima in Melton! I’d just like to add that the Columbo potatoes are THE BEST potatoes I have ever eaten! They taste exactly the same as they did 10 years ago. Thank you PRIMA PIZZA! 😁

Had pizza and garlic bread from here while staying at eye kettleby lakes. We had a problem with making the payment due to dodgy mobile signal but they were patient with us and very helpful. When the pizza arrived it was first class, the sauce tasted so fresh and the pizza cooked to perfection. One of the best pizzas we have ever had and we've eaten plenty. If you like first class non chain pizza this is the place.

Honestly, the best pizza I’ve ever had. I went and weren’t sure on what to have there was so much choice. The lovely Gio and his mum kindly greeted me upon entering the shop with massive smiles on their faces. Gio said he would make one of his personal favourites, plenty of veg and a little bit of meat and spice. Least to say I wasn’t disappointed. Throughout waiting for my order I was made extremely welcome. Gio seems extremely enthusiastic and passionate about providing not only a great pizza but make you feel part of the family. Pizzas can be greasy sometimes. Not this one. Extremely fresh and yummy. Can’t recommend enough. So much better than other larger pizza companies in the area

Pretty disappointed in their food to be honest, ordered their Colombo Potato things and hey we're literally just par boiled potato pieces with melted cheese on top, they might aswell have sold them to me without the potato as they literally brought nothing to the dish, pale and bland; pizza was slightly better but not worth the 30 minute wait for it 👎

Our new favourite takeaway in Melton. I can’t believe that we have never tried this place before. The pizza was cooked perfectly and the tomato sauce is the best I have ever tasted on a pizza. All the ingredients are fresh and customer service was excellent.

The pizza here is amazing. Fresh ingredients, fresh home produced sauces etc etc. This Sicilian Family owned pizza place has been going 30 odd years. Really nice friendly owner. So glad I went here and not to the usual pizza chains around Melton. This is now my daughter's favourite new place.

Great local and family business. Really fresh pizza with top notch authentic ingredients made with a sense of true Italian pride from the chap and his mum. Can't stop eating the crusts as it's really tasty. Strongly recommend their Colombo potatoes for cheesy garlicky joy.

5/5 would recommend to friends and family. Hands down the best pizza!! The sauce is so good and the crust and base has such a tender crispness to it. Momma said, you can’t hurry love, but she obviously never had tried Prima Pizza!

Chips were soggy but frozen in the middle, my burger was pink inside, r and the restaurant and was shouted at and told I cannot get a refund then told not to order again vile place

What a fantastic little place! To start off with the smell of the shop is just sensational! I had been greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. Had a very nice chat and then took my goods home to eat, the garlic Mayo is homemade and fresh! Not out of a bottle…(hard to find these days from takeaways) the pizza was absolutely delicious and I will return here when I come back to melton. 10/10 of friendliness 12/10 for flavour and delicious food I would recommend to all family and friends! We have had many take always when in Melton Mowbray and this by far is the worst we have ever ever had! Ordered and had delivery to a campsite nearby and it was Luke warm, dry, and tasted bad! After two slices between 4 of us everything else went straight in the bin. Waste of £40 - avoid these like the plague unless you want a very poor, tasteless horrible tasting takeaway,

Been coming here for years and never had a bad pizza. Proper Italian pizza with the freshest ingredients with dough hand made. Not like domino's that freeze everything and owners take great pride in what they do.

Excellent pizzas, Genuine Italian run, makes all his own bases and sauce. All fresh toppings. Had a few from here now and tbh probably the best pizzas I've had.

we use prima pizza for regular large family order most weeks, but lately Prima has stepped up. Attention to detail & consistency has improved significantly.

We have just had the best pizza we have had in a very long time. Fresh ingredients, juicy, cheesy and hot. We are visiting and decided on a pizza. Looked up recomendations and they weren't wrong. Thankyou it tasted amazing.

Recently ordered 2 pizza's from here and I have to say they were among the best quality pizza's I've eaten. The base is made fresh every day and the tomato sauce is so thick it's like a filling on its own!! All the ingredients are prepared fresh everyday and you can really taste the difference. I will definitely be ordering from Prima Pizza again and can fully recommend here if you are looking for a great fresh pizza.

The chicken had the longest black hair in and the biriyani tasted foul. It’s gone down hill and I will not be ordering from here again. The staff apologised and that was all.

Have 3 deliveries from here & everytime it's been a great pizza - really fresh taste & a lovely crusty base. Large is enough for two & costs £14 delivered. I've still not seen a menu as they ran out - get some menus guys & I can order more of your delicious pizza's

I have used this pizza place for over 20 years and their seafood pizza is simply the best. The customer service is great and all food is freshly prepared and delicious. Wait times are kept to a minimum and variety of toppings is diverse. Quality can always be relied upon.

Can't ask for better customer service, I happily paid the price I was told and then 45min later a knock on the door to say the price was incorrect and here's your refund, top service and amazing food 👍

We went downtown and got here "by accident". We had a great pizza and a very friendly service. The owners prepare each pizza by theirselves and take time to make a real good pizza. We stayed two days in melton mowbray and had two delicious pizzas. We picked it up and had some Smalltalk. We can recommend this little family owned pizza Restaurant. Very clean, excellelent taste, they love what they do and it is not expensive. Greetings from Germany! Thanks for the great taste of a real italian Pizza.

Pizza was undercooked I ordered a large pizza with double extra anchovies. Does the attached picture look like it has a double serving of anchovies? I also thought that it was expensive for what it was

We (family of 4) ordered last night, pizza was delivered super quick and was piping hot!, From the first bite you can tell the ingredients are all fresh (unlike anywhere else in this town), The best tasting pizza in town...in fact simply best takeaway in town. When we go into the shop the staff are always making fuss of the children and providing them with a sweety Lolly to keep them patient :). Very polite and friendly staff and no matter how long your day has been you will always leave there with a smile. Prima Pizza is most certainly First For Pizza!!

Always great pizzas. John (Giovanni) and his mum are real Italians and make their own sauce. Always had quick service but at busy times there can be a wait which is understandable. Very friendly to children in the waiting area
