A Lackluster Culinary Journey at Prezzo Italian Restaurant My recent visit to Prezzo Italian Restaurant left much to be desired. The dishes, claiming to be Italian, were disappointingly basic, tasteless, and served in small portions at exorbitant prices. As someone with an Italian heritage, the authenticity of the cuisine was notably lacking. To add to the culinary letdown, our party was initially informed that there were no burger buns available, proposing a bun-less burger as a substitute. Miraculously, a bun appeared later, raising questions about the kitchen's organization and decision-making process. It would have been preferable for them to 86 the item instead. The presence of an alarming number of flies in the venue further tarnished the experience, with these pests making their way into drink glasses and onto the food. When questioned about this issue, the response was dismissive, merely stating, "we are looking into it." This lack of concern for hygiene is unsettling. However, amidst the mediocrity, the shining light was our waitress, who stood out with warmth, professionalism, and an infectious smile. Unfortunately, her positive attributes couldn't compensate for the overall subpar experience. The charcuterie board, while acceptable, failed to elevate the overall impression of the restaurant. In conclusion, if you're seeking an authentic Italian dining experience, I'd recommend exploring alternative venues. Unless, of course, you're in the mood for a unique encounter with a fly-infested ambiance, a dubious burger saga, and a fleeting smile from a standout waitress at Prezzo Italian Restaurant. Feel free to spot the flies on the barely eaten salad!

Met up with friends for dinner. Great customer service, and the food was excellent. Would definitely go back again!! The atmosphere was relaxing, and the restaurant is very easy to locate. Being at the location, this restaurant is not so busy during the weekdays, so was a bonus to stay a little longer than usual to catch up. Didn't get to try the desserts, so maybe next time.

This hidden gem of a restaurant off Upper Street is superb. This is our restaurant of choice in Islington. Ambience brilliant. Staff especially attentive and helpful, food delicious always.

Gorgeous food - try the arancini it's the best!

Nice filling lunch. Had the prawns with gnocchi and calamari. Both dishes were good and good portion size. Unfortunately they didn’t have any soup , would have loved to try. The staff were friendly and attentive, it wasn’t hard to get their attention when I was by myself in the front section of the store whilst most customers were in the back.

Really nicely decorated restaurant and staff are very nice. We went there yesterday to celebrate my friends wedding day and they were so kind and gave us a bottle of Prosecco for free! So kind of them. Food and cocktails are amazing too. Definitely will highly recommend 😊

Lovely location, decor and ambience. Would be 5 star if not for a bit of a slow service. Though only 2 waiting staff managing the bar and floor.

Extremely hospitable when helping to celebrate my elderly Mother's birthday. I even got a drink on the house as my first and second choices were not available. Thank you to the manager and her team on the day

really lovely new Prezzo located in Islington a few minutes from Angel tube. great décor, and really nice food and the service we had from Kim really made our day! looking forward to another visit, this is the location of Prezzo head office, so it seems like a flagship, really good and recommended!

Often go to Prezzo, but this one is probably my favourite one. Kim was our server and she was lovely! 10/10 service, food and atmosphere.

They didn’t have half of the menu. I ordered extra chicken for my plate and the waitress literally said “it doesn’t make sense but ok” Food with not feeling, small portion. Extra chicken and I literally got 4 pieces with my pasta. The whole experience was weird. Not coming back.

I visited with my friend. All staff were so attentive. The food very good as always and toilets clean. Definitely will visit again.

Cashed in Clubcard vouchers to visit. Rang to book a table and was an error so went down as it said on google maps it was open. Saw the A boards outside, went inside, waited for five minutes, could see a chef prepping but a member of staff finally told us they weren’t open till the next day. Very disappointed.

I went to this restaurant many times and I am always very satisfied with the service and great food. Nice, cosy and spacious place with very kind staff. I can recommend 100%.

I left it to my friend to choose the restaurant and she didn't dissappoint.The decor,ambiance, service,all perfect and the chicken ham and cheese dish that I chose was the best ever.the limoncello invite while paying was the Italian touch that you don't find these days. Will return just as soon as I can.

Great location off Upper Street in the old post office development.. well worth a visit if in area and like a prezzo .the 25% offer helped ...

There is no phone signal, and their WiFi is extremely slow. Food was mediocre at best.

We are regulars of this particular Prezzo. We love going here; that the staff are always so nice and attentive! They always go out of their way to make me and my family feel welcome and make sure all of our needs are fulfilled. They are really friendly and never look tired, negative or unapproachable. The food is always looks and tastes great; the quality never ever dips. It's always a 10/10 visit whenever we go here! A special shoutout to Ola & Anna who always go out of their way to fulfil our needs. It's lovely to feel such a sense of community in a local restaurant!

Very slow stuff, I had to chase waitress to get a spoon for the spaghetti. Pricy place, where you get nothing, but disappointment!

The manager Ana was amazing. She was very friendly and kind. I would definitely recommend that you visit this Prezzo. Also the food is the amazing here. This is there flagship store in London.

Had a really lovely meal before trip to cinema. I can highly recommend the Crispy Fried Mozzarella and the Calamari. The main meal of Sea Bass with Gnocci was absolutely delicious. The service by Dominika and the rest of the staff was also 5 star. I will definitely be back.

This is a hidden gem, the ambience in this venue is really lovely and it’s not fully of city people. The food is always good and decently priced so excited to see they have have gluten free pizza on the menu. It’s got for clients meetings at lunch or even family meals. Staff bend over backwards for you, nothing is too big a request!

A really great place that is always warm to both adults and kids. Abdel has been very attentive to us and made sure that everything was ready when we needed it. The food is good and we are happy to come back again.

Lovely restaurant, great decor and location but let down as service is awful. 2 young waiting staff who didn’t have a clue how to do their job. We literally had to ask for everything, to order, for drinks, more cutlery… not once did staff ask us if everything was ok, only once after our starters asked if we wanted dessert! Manager was busy managing delivery orders but thankfully noticed the pile of finished plates at our table. 10% service was added to our bill which we asked to be remove with no questions asked. It’s little wonder at 8pm on a Saturday night there were only 2 tables. Perhaps a bit of training would go a long way to ensure the survival of Prezzo in Islington!

The staff were extremely polite and the manager was extremely helpful and helped with all our orders . We did have complications with our order and some misunderstanding but it was handled very professionally and we will definitely be coming back !

The staff are all lovely and the design of the restaurant is very cozy and gentle. The manager is such a wonderful person, me and my sister had some complications with our order and she was very kind , sweet and understanding and handled the situation amazingly. Burrata was too cold (it should be at room temperature). Garlic bread were slices of pizza dough. The arrabiata and the Alfredo had this dried unsavory chicken. Cute decoration though, and waitress was nice

This is now the third time we have eaten at this restaurant. Each time we go the food has been excellent and the staff very attentive and friendly. It's very handy for the Almeida Theatre and The King's Head Theatre. The menu is good and varied. During this visit, I tried the Chicken Caesar salad which was delicious. We had lovely wine and desserts too.

Nice staff. However for the price my main course lobster and crab ravioli at £18 was awful. It had 14 slices of chilli in it making it almost inedible and the ‘lobster and crab’ tasted like fish paste. I should have complained at the time but because we were on a meerkat deal and I hate food waste, I decided not to kick up a fuss. The calamari starter and glass of Gavi were nice enough and I like the quiet ambience of the place.

Tiny pasta portion and it no meat, I thought for the price the portions was not good, especially the pasta dish. Service very good and a very nice waiter and service too. Shame because love Prezzo and wanted to try more stuff on the menu and was dissapointed.

Service very good. Sadly the portion was tiny. Not kidding when i say 2 cups of pasta and no meat what so ever. Usually use prezzo Trafalgar square and the portion size is very different, also has meat in it... penne arrabbiata.. For the price i wouldnt recommend at all.....

Almost £16 for 6 pieces of ravioli and 3 miserable looking frozen prawns... not good. I'd avoid, like the plague

I stopped here on my way to Emirates Stadium. The penne arrabbiata were tremendous and the stuff incredibly friendly.

Some of the food was good. Calamari and mozzarella bites rubbery and tasteless. Rushed at end (10pm). Asked to leave as they were closing (early) and offered to pour our wine into paper cups to leave. Not impressed and will not return.

I went to this Prezzo back in March for a friend's birthday. The food was great and the service even better. Zoltan (apologies if misspelt) took fantastic care of us and his menu recommendations were spot on. We went on a week night and it wasn't too busy so perfect if you want to have a proper catch up with friends. Thank you for hosting us!

Customer service was the worst here, wouldn't recommend going there and will not returning back....

This was my first visit and I was left amazed by the food, the attention and the cleanliness. The attention we received today on Mother’s Day was extra special. Huge thanks to Annya who looked after us. Will most definitely come back over again, again and again.

Not Authentic Italian First time trying out this restaurant chain and sadly was not impressed. We ate at the Islington branch, I ordered the spaghetti bolognaise and the sauce was awful, it tasted like watery beef gravy with a handful of hard chewy tiny balls of meat, not authentic italian at all, I sent it back. I suspect the sauce was bought in frozen and blitzed in the microwave as my son enquired about the fish and calamari and was told it was frozen, for the prices they charge the food should be fresh and authentic as advertised. My advice is don't waste your money you'll be disappointed and stick to real Italian restaurants.

Great ambience, food was good, staff were polite and attentive. Great place for meeting friends, weekend family lunches (kid friendly) or dinner and drinks after work.

New Islington Prezzo in Islington Square - Airy + Safe! We had meal for christmas with family and huge thanks to Zultan and Ola for making the night so safe and enjoyable. We were given a separate area and felt extremely safe due to high ceilings and airy environment. As the venue has newly opened, we were offered free preseco. Thank you
