Fantastic Spanish restaurant! Delicious food, impecable service and great atmosphere. I went twice and it’s consistently great. Also the flamenco music today was really enjoyable.

This is just lovely. It have everything you would hope of Madrid Tapas bar. The food is lovely, very simple and elegant. Like everything simple in presentation the skill is hidden and unassuming. We have been there twice now and will enjoy many more evening there in the future.

Great range of high quality tapas plates at Llerena. Good value and good service too.

what a wonderful Saturday lunch we just had at this tapas bar! food was fantastic, from jamon iberico to calamar a la plancha and presa iberica...even the simple pan con tomate was blasting with flavour...because sometimes you really don't need to overcomplicate things when you have high quality ingredients! everything accompanied by a jug of sangria and the most welcoming service we've had in 20 years in London!

Best Spanish restaurant in London. Cosy and delightful staff with superlative tapas and cuts.

Nice little place with a warm vibe. 3 tapas dishes, a glass of wine each, with some bread, came to £45. You'd probably want another 2 or 3 dishes if you're really hungry, but nicely cooked food, friendly but not intrusive service and good flavour. Not super top end but a solid offering for tasty comfort food.

The ambiance is great, service was so nice and the food is amazing!! Highly recommend the asparagus, lamb chops and the iberico pork - all to die for! Thanks for having us and we’ll definitely be coming back.

I have to say the food and vibe was immaculate. Fernando gave us the ultimate experience and amazing recommendations. Amazing flavors and wine pairings. We took a picture in the beginning but enjoyed ourselves so much, we forgot to take more. Definitely recommend and hope to return the next time we're in the UK.

Some of the best tapas I’ve had in London. I came here for lunch on Saturday with my friend and it was fantastic. All the dishes were amazing, and the asparagus and the Iberico with tomato’s were the stand out dishes. The service was great too, the chap who was serving us was so friendly and made great recommendations

Absolutely fantastic meal with my partner. Delicious tapas for a very reasonable price, with great service. Will be coming back and telling my friends. We ordered bread, a large sharing plate to start, four tapas, three drinks, and then churros for dessert - all tasted fantastic - and it came to just £65 including service. I’ve obviously become accustomed to being routinely robbed in London restaurants because I was shocked by how reasonable Llerna is. Just last week we went to Brother Marcus, and payed twice as much for less food, with poor service and fairly mediocre dishes. Finally, shout out to our waiter. Didn’t catch the name, but he was a young guy on shift Saturday 25th. Really attentive and professional. Great job! We’ll be back.

Spanish tapas bar in Islington! We went to Llerena on Saturday night, great atmosphere and nice service. We loved iberico cuts from the grill as pluma and secreto, also really enjoyed Estrella Galicia beer and jamon! Highly recommended

Fantastic food and great service. The meat dishes are incredible and the Iberico pork (from their own farm in Spain) is a must have. Will definitely be going again.

Excellent waitress, food was very authentic and absolutely delicious! The house red was delicious. Wish I could have eaten more, but we were stuffed! We ate the chorizo, calamari, prawns, bread, olives, cheese and spinach croquettes. All 10/10

Came here for tapas. We had a lovely welcome, cheerful friendly staff, nice decor. Our waiter suggested sherry. Now sherry doesn’t have a good rep in my head, Christmas with granny! but I was easily persuaded by my buddy, who knows her stuff! The Manzanilla was so crisp and dry- l loved it. The tapas came quickly and was tasty, I particularly liked the pork, tender and full of flavour. If only I had time for dessert. Great vibe… do try it! Thanks so much

Tasty food and also few vegan options with the best olives ever that taste just like the ones from my mum's village in Spain! I bought a jar to have at home as they also sell them. I like the service and the place is cosy.

Food there is so good! Especially Iberia pork. MUST TRY! One of the best I ever had. The waiter is so passionate and proud of the dishes that they are serving, which made the whole dining experience even more pleasing:)

One of the best Spanish restaurants I’ve tried in London! Everything was perfect! Food was delicious ( in particular la pluma iberica!!), owners extremely nice and the place is super cosy. I suggest to book in advance as there are not a lot of tables.

This place is so good. It’s been years since I went somewhere where every single dish was superb. Strongly recommended.

We had a quick bite before the theatre. We didn't booked a table but we were welcome to seat at the counter. The red wine Habla de la Tierra together with Chorizo al vino were fantastic!! The service was friendly and quick. I left my lenses on the counter on that evening and they kept them safe until I picked them up 48h later. They are nice people and the food is great. I will come back for sure. Many thanks to Llerana's chef and Team.

Estuvimos el día 31, y fue genial! Música en vivo con guitarrista, buen ambiente, Comida muy buena. El trato que recibimos estuvieron súper atentos. Da gusto que te traten como en casa.

I’ve seen the reviews this place had that’s why I went, please AVOID IT AT ALL COST. Everything taste pretty much frozen with bunch of spices to cover it up but you can’t cover the texture. The service was decent, nothing special. However, the places looked not really taken care of, a bit dirty, a bit tired, I had to walk downstairs through a very narrow stairs to go to the middle of their tiny kitchen and store room to go to a toilet that meant to be a men toilet but looked pretty much like a hidden staff toilet. It was a gross. Won’t come back, just another tourist trap in London.

The restaurant is not very busy. The interior design is very nice. The service is really good. The tapas is very nice and fresh. Defo one of the best tapas places I’ve been to. Must order dish are cerdo iberico, grilled octopus, croquettes and chorizo.

First time here and will be back! Great croquetas (my favourite tapas), chilled atmosphere and the waiters were charming.

Most delicious and authentic tapas I have had in a long time, to top it off the service (Tom and Fernando) were so welcoming and I would highly recommend!

Solid 4.5. I'd definitely recommend ordering the pork dishes (jamon, croquettes and both iberico) although the other dishes we tried (prawns, peppers, churros) were good without being amazing. Very good service though and overall a cute and cosy restaurant. Would definitely come back again.

Food was so good! On the slightly pricier side but very worth it. Would totally recommend the paella, tortilla and the pork cheeks. Waiters were friendly, originally ordered two paella’s and only one came, to be fair, one was enough anyways so I didn’t bring it up - not an issue, and they did come to check if everything was ok anyways so I’m sure the issue would’ve been fixed if I had asked Bonus points for the baileys they gave at the end of the meal! Will be back :)

Couldn’t make booking due to an unfortunate family death, did cancel via opentable however they still charged me £70. Don’t tarnish all customers with same brush! Definitely won’t visit restaurant unless they provide me a meal with the money they have taken from my account!!!!

One of the best paella in town. Good service. Staff was very nice and friendly. The restaurant was clean and bright. Good with kids, kid’s chair is available. Highly recommended.

Lovely tapas, excellent service and casual ambiance.

Service was good and the food was decent although it came a tiny bit colder than expected, and was quite surprised they don't always do paella like other spanish restaurants do - they only do seafood paella on saturdays. Got a jug of sangria which was definitely and deliberately watered down with minimal alcohol content which is disappointing as it's mainly spanish restaurants which offer this. Overall had a good experience but there are many other better spanish restaurants that are similarly priced with a larger menu selection, like Camino, Barrica, and Jamon Jamon.

Very nice place and food was delicious

The restaurant's name refers to a Spanish city in Extremadura and serves food from that region. The dishes, such as croquetas with champignons, puntillitas, fried boquerones, gazpacho, pluma were delicious. Some others, such as fried champignons and patata bravas less so but still tasty. The presentation of the food was generally great and you can accompany it with (apparently) house made vino dulce Pedro Jiménez which also tasted very authentic. The downside is that the place is small with the tables squeezed closely next to each other and that the desserts are not very interesting, only two options in fact.

A greeter who does not smile and soes not look at you but stares at the tablet instead is just not acceptable in my books. The waitress, on the other hand, was really friendly. A slight error in our order, nothing dramatic and well handled. Long wait for the bread. Nothing negative to say about the food. On the contrary, rather good, particularly the mushroom croquettas. Had it not been for the greeting (or lack of) this would have been a pretty good experience

Myself and my partner had a lovely evening here on a Saturday night. Food was delish and portion sizes were perfect, there wasn’t long of a wait either. The atmosphere and setting is lovely. What made our night the most enjoyable, was the incredible and attentive service from our waitress, Charlie. Highly recommend, looking forward to coming back.

A fairly buzzing if small restaurant offering rather good, freshly made tapas, albeit from a not too extensive menu... But excellent cooking and friendly, occasionally elusive, service, matched with a decent wine list make for a good night out. Worth a visit.

The staffs are very rude, I never met any restaurant this rude. The food is sad the squid is very small, the croquettes is also very pool quartiles there no truffle smell at all (with the price you could just add truffle oil at least) . I am ready feel bad. Since the minute we enter restaurant we have been treated badly and the moment we paid, the waiter said we are RUDE! If we have been treated better we might not be this moody! I really feel like we need some explanation as I lived in Angel area for long time and this is not a standard for the restaurant in this area! If google allowed me to put 0 star I will!

Recently ate here. Was welcomed by a very friendly lady behind the bar with nice glasses. The restaurant is on the small side but the food was amazing. Staff we’re excellent and took good care of us. Price reasonable for the area. Not one to usually leave reviews but as the staff were so warm and friendly I decided to. 4.5/5

Nice little restaurant in Upper Street with traditional Spanish tapas. My favourite dish was the spinach & blue cheese croquetas, 10/10! The secreto was also very good but I found the prawns a bit too salty. Lovely traditional tortilla with a soft center and the extra Virgin olive oil was to die for! The total bill was £80 with a bottle of Albariño.

We celebrated my hen party and Fernando took care of us and helped my friends to surprise me!! Food was great!! We ordered some tapas, ibéricos (were delicious) and cheese boards, among others, but as a main, we chose seafood paella and that was beyond great! We were 9 people and ordered paella for 6, plus the starters, it was the right decision!!! VIVA EXTREMADURA, SU GENTE Y SUS PRODUCTOS!!

Wonderful, cosy and delightful tapas restaurant. Superb food! I’d particularly recommend the spicy chorizo and garlic and chilli gambas (prawns). Super friendly and attentive service and cool, inviting decor. Highly recommended!

We stopped in for a late bite. While casually checking the menu some people leaving the restaurant said it was great. Boy was it. They offer a stunning selection of tapas which my wife and I greatly enjoyed. From simple dishes well presented to more complex flavours it was all very good. Not a huge choice of desserts but what they do they really do well. Our waiter was very friendly, gave great advice and was a fun guy. The place itself is well decorated. Go with company, have great food and a fun time.

After trying it, this is now my favourite Spanish restaurant. I was really impressed by the high quality of food and particularly liked the Spinach & Blue Cheese Croquetas, and Churros! Highly recommended 👌

Best tapas on Upper Street. Drinks - nice selection of spirits, cocktails & beers. Staff - service efficient and friendly. You’re not rushed for your table back either. Food - lovely! The cooked meat & fish dishes are sublime. Love the cheese & meat platters too. Lots of vegetarian options as well

Would be a lot better if service would improve. The woman behind the counter could do with a serious service/friendliness upgrade (and she cuts the jamon far too thick). The tomato toasted bread tastes super but comes way before anything else (so is soggy by the time you need it). Sherry lovely, normal jamon so-so, lovely Estrella beer, mixed mushrooms = dominated by champignons/button mushrooms, black rice with squid looks beautiful. Little outside area

Fernando took exceptional care of us. We enjoyed our discussions of travel, places to stay in Spain, travel and culture in general. The Tappas were fantastic! We had the Queso with the Smoked Paprika, Olives, Chorizo, Peppers, and the Ribeye. All were delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed sharing them. Lerena is excellent and definitely worth a visit!

We had a lovely meal, the staff are all super helpful and happy to recommend their favourite dishes, which were all divine! The mushroom croquettes, squid and pork are a must. Delicious sangria too!

My overall experience at Llerena was a good one. I have nothing bad to say about it. The croquettes are a must try! The service was prompt, the food affordable. I must admit they also make a mean espresso martini (even if it is a sin - to pair an espresso martini with tapas instead of wine). The decor time warped me back to the early 2000’s - I felt like I was reenacting a scene from About A Boy with Hugh Grant…Make of that what you will!

Food was good in general. However, portions were on the small side. The tabla mixta was disappointing for size with minuscule pieces of cheese included when comparing to price and other Spanish restaurants in London we’ve been to. Would possibly go back as food was tasty, but only if invited by someone else. Would not book myself.
