Prezzo Italian Restaurant Leicester Meridian in Blaby

Went there for mothers day where are mum was running 10 mins late staff started saying where r they as they need table bk at a certain time no mention of this when booking service was terrible drinks too years food even longer we had to remind staff we had ordered had to send puddings back. We refused to pay the service charge. Well safe to say we won't be bk oh and if they say it was busy well staff for the bookings u have then not rocket science.

Fab service from Tanja, she made our visit really pleasant and was attentive. Food came out promptly and dessert was 10/10!

Service was great and the staff is very friendly & handsome! (Think his name was Euan) Would love to bring the family here, the Mrs would love it.

I brought my daughter here for a meal for her 16th birthday. It was a busy Saturday with a large party which meant wait times were a little longer but our sever Anna was fantastic! The meal was delicious and they even gave my daughter a free birthday dessert.

Staff were very good and very professional, particularly Anna who was very helpful and explained everything to us as it was our first time at Prezzo, would visit again, using the discount voucher is a must and a good idea

Had a fabulous meal everything was perfect. And Sylvia was very pleasant and lovely and accommodating .

Ended up at prezzo for my wife's birthday a bit randomly, as she thought it looked ok from the outside. Restaurant was rather busy, as you would expect on a Saturday night, but not full. The welcome was slow, as we waited a good few minutes at the desk, and were greeted by a rather cold waitress, who sat us right next to a table of 6, despite other quieter ones available. A bit annoying. The other waitress who was looking after our table came by to get our drinks order. She was cold, looked irritated from the start, and borderline rude. Absolutely zero customer service in her. Kept dragging her feet when walking around the restaurant instead of walking like a normal person, which I find extremely irritating. My wife ordered a cocktail, and I opted for a glass of wine. Without being asked what size, I ended up with a large one. That's perhaps down to cultural differences, but I would have liked a regular. Kept it quiet as I didn't want to ruin my wife's dinner meal. We ordered 2 starters. Italian meatballs and a bruschetta. The meatballs were good. The so called 'bruschetta' wasn't. It was a piece of pizza bread served with poorly cut, unripe, unseasoned tomatoes without any signs of onions or garlic, and served with some sort of pesto. Disappointing. We now move on to the meals. I had a large Gorgonzola & prosciutto pizza, whilst my wife had the spinach & ricotta cannelloni. Pizza was ok. The dough was good and correctly cooked. Not enough gorgonzola and prosciutto in my opinions (main ingredients according to the menu) and was served with balsamic onions that were overly sweet and quite overpowering for my liking. Rocket salad added a touch of welcome freshness to add some balance. Cannelloni was underwhelming. It was small, served with a thin sauce which didn't cover the pasta (supposedly 'fresh') that ended up being quite dry from the oven. Filling was unseasoned and felt a little on the dry side as well. The overall service was pretty poor. 3 staff members felt a little too short despite not having a full restaurant, and the chef kept on ringing the bell several times before orders were being picked up for service. Waitress apologised for the wait when serving us though. When we finished our plates, no one came to clear the table or ask if we wanted anything else. We then decided to get up and pay at the bar directly as a result. To my surprise, there was a 10% tip hidden in the bill labelled 'Service charge'. This is just poor practice. Any customer who does not review the bill before paying will accept this tip unknowingly. I find it unacceptable to try to pass on an extra charge to your customers despite offering such a poor service and overall experience. At least have the decency to ask and label it correctly. The footnote reads as such : 'If you'd like to leave a tip, this will be shared with everyone working in our restaurant today, meaning nothing is kept by the business. A discretionary 10% service charge is automatically added to all tables.' Tried it once, never again.

Came here for a quick lunch. The waitress was great and spaghetti carbonara was delicious.Will definitely be coming back!

Had the new meatball Italian pizza it was subtle in flavour I would say, I think the Giuseppe is more my favourite but I recommend people try the new meatball Italian just to know for themselves. The server was attentive if not slightly busy throughout as it was the lunch rush. The dessert menu looked lovely too to be honest.

Great atmosphere and food tastes great Service is quick and lots of choices regarding gluten free intolerance!

I always find Prezzo very reliable for a good value, tasty meal out. Good food choice covering a range of prices. Service is always friendly and attentive too.

They don't have much of a vegan selection. The mains were delicious but the starters were not great, they just tasted like your standard store brought items. In terms of drinks, the cherry mocktail was delicious too!

Very sad. Normally love Prezzos but this was not good. Starter was cold, main course, far too much rigatoni, not enough sauce and only just short of cold. Dogs have got a good breakfast!!!

Food was cold. Portion of chips was very small, squashed and rolled into a bag. Delivery time was updated after order to be 20 minutes later and then still didn’t arrive at that time

Nandos was full so grabbed one of the last tables on a busy Friday night. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. We had the festive set menu... absolutely delicious and well worth the money.

Great place with, good atmosphere, staff were really friendly and helpful. On arrival noticing we had a child offered a baby seat and sat us near the toilets and baby changing facilities. Food-wise, food was amazing, it may be frowned upon to order a burger in an Italian, but the patties were well seasoned and cooked to perfection. For non-alcoholic drinks, the wild strawberry was delightful. Deffo recommended for dates, and family meals.

The staff were friendly and the food was nice. My friend who I was with, who is gluten free had a variety to choose from.

Ate there last night, both of us having the Saltimbocca Chicken Sage. The meat was pretty chewy and tough. Overall the dish was poor value for the price.

Service good and food ok, but £7 a pint and £20 for a bowl of pasta with no veg or sides- that is steep! Think I’ll stick to local independents for same quality at more reasonable price

First ever visit to a prezzo, safe to say I will return. The food was lovely, and our waitress Anna was very lovely to. Relatively new to prezzo, but a great addition to the team.

Came for lunch today and really enjoyed the overall experience. The service and atmosphere were calm and relaxed, restaurant was very clean and the food was fresh and delicious. The Goat’s cheese and roasted peppers pizza was amazing

Wonder food and drinks kinda fast service the lady who served us was so kind and a bit loud but I’m fine with that and I loved the view of the oven I’d come again.

The food was excellent but never have I been in a restaurant where the staff are so disinterested in their customers. Absolutely shocking service. It took 30 mins to bring out a bowl of olives. No one came to ask if we wanted another drink while we waited, we had to ask. The staff were more interested in cleaning the tables ready for home time than hosting.

Poor service, rude manager. No NHS discount given with card shown, prompted online only. Declined cash payment (legal tender), card only- without informing us from the get go.

Pizza is great but missing the juice i ordered.

We have been here almost an hour and a half and our food has not arrived. The kids starters came after 40 mins and their mains still haven't come. Very disappointing, I could've gone to Mcdonald's and drove home by now.

Have been to this prezzo many times and always stick to the same meals!! The carbonara is delicious, and the calamari is unbeatable! The Sicilian lemon meringue pie is always the star of the meal. The mango sorbet and biscoff cheesecake is always a win too. It is pricey but prezzo are always doing 25% off deals, which makes it worth it. The service is always brilliant, with staff always accommodating our requests and this restaurant has long become a favourite of mine. The manager and staff have always been amazing and cannot fault their service!

Nice welcome, good friendly prompt service. Good menu with a variety of choices and decent kids menu. Also , fresh beer on tap!

Nice food was very noisy in there difficult to have conversation but staff are helpful although rushed off their feet but very nice place.

It's a warm feeling restaurant with nice lighting. The staff were very friendly. We did wait a lot g time for our drinka and saw them waiting on the bar for ages. When arrived the ice had melted so I had to go and get fresh ice. The wine was lovely. And so were out meals. We had the risotto and carbonara. And the cherry choc sundaes. The bull came to just over £70 with an included £6.80 service charge. Which you could take off if you wanted. The restaurant was very full and the atmosphere felt very noisy and we had to raise our voices to talk to each other.

The food came cold, and the staff were quite insulting. I won't be visiting again, waste of money.

We had a lovely meal with the family here. Unfortunately we were all too hungry and so we didn't have a chance to take pics of the food before gobbling it up. We had a range of kids starters and mains and then our adult mains.... from garlic bread, truffle fries, burgers, pizza, calzone, carbonara, a lovely Sausage and Pasta dish with the perfect amount of melted and perfectly crisped cheese on top! (that was mine!) Lush! Would deffo go here again, and so grateful to the staff who were able to cater to our large group booking.

The waitress and the atmosphere were really nice. However, many of the food portions are small (especially pasta dishes) and the Truffle Burger is very salty. With those prices, improvements are expected in order to retain clients...

Awful experience today's lunch. We had one starter which took ages to arrive. Then the wrong main was delivered quite late on, 40 min, although only one dish out of three. 1 hr passed and no mains. I asked the server and she just looked at the other server and completely ignored me. Not one word in reply. Really odd. She just carried on tidying tables. Then she went over to the kitchen area and 10 min later we got our food, one dish was cold. Shocking service. Over priced for mediocre food and poorly managed. Many other better places around and cheaper.

Had good service from when we walked in, wasnt too busy mid week. Ordered drinks then food which both came very quickly. Food was tasty could of maybe been a little warmer but still enjoyed it. Good portion size.

Was actually really nice, but they had to go and ruin it by adding a service charge to the bill. This unfortunately puts the customer in a very unfortunate position, you can either pay it and spend more than you wanted to or ask the staff to remove it and come across as cheap/mean. Completely put me off, won't be back.

For attention of management. We rang on 31st March 2023 at 12:25 and said could we have a table reserved for two at 12:30. They responded, no problem we're not busy so there's no need to book. We were asked where to we want to sit? I pointed to the waitress where, we sat down and given menus from the waitress. After seeing the menus after 3-4 minutes I made it clear by shutting the menus that we're ready to order. ***20 minutes*** had passed and we hadn't been served, not even for drinks which all staff would always ask. Then the final whistle, you won't believe this; not only does the waitress sit down people who came after us, she's serves them first and the final nail in the coffin. All restaurant staff know to serve unattended guests first before clearing away other tables but no, this waitress right in front of us clears away other tables and still not served. We walked out in utter disgust. I don't know if the waitress is racist because I'm a British Indian or seriously has no training. For the head office of Prezzo, UK this needs further investigation as in all my decades I've never been treated like this. Of the two waitresses working at the time, it was the one who is around 5 foot 4, late teens/late twenties, blonde hair.

Great atmosphere but overpriced, service was not the best as we had to call the waiter most of the time. Food was not the best, it needed seasoning and some flavour.

We had the most wonderful time 8/3/23 A group of 9 as we celebrated Our Grandaughters 12th birthday. Excellent service beautiful hot fresh food Lovely atmosphere dedicated staff very calm and relaxed Not hectic or rushed table booked at 6pm we left very happy at 8.15pm. Well done every one high quality dining experience. Highly recommended We already have chosen for my hubby's birthday meal in May. Thank you.

The food was cold. Really dissapointing to pay all that money for cold food. Couldn't eat half of it and will have to re-feed the family. Really dissapointing!
