Prezzo Italian Restaurant Broughton in Flintshire

Ordered a child’s meal, all three courses were the same bread. Garlic bread, pizza, and even the chocolate dippers, so they lost interest, almost comical experience. At least use a baguette for the GB if you are going to offer pizza, and follow with real donuts. Service is ok, but not personal/attantive. Atmosphere is ok, but doesn’t entice me back.

Ordered gnocchi with the £5 supplement for burrata and chicken, but sent it back as it looked like they hadn’t put any chicken on it. Assistant manager came back over with my plate, said nothing before literally shoving it back it back down in front of me (I was mid conversation and hadn’t noticed him) so it was pretty abrupt, and started pointing at points in the meal, and in this horrible aggressive tone said “I think you’ll find there IS actually chicken THERE, and THERE” before storming off, no pleasantries, no kindness, no respect as a person. I had not been rude to him or his waiter that I’d originally spoken to, there was no need for his attitude. So I looked down, and sure enough 2 small 50p size pieces which you can see top right. 2 pieces and a 1/3 burrata for a £5 supplement. Despite his attitude being absolutely appalling, my friend was scared to say anything in case it got worse and made a scene, so we sat there and ate. But a couple next to us had clocked it, and when they went to pay asked him for the manager, to which he told them they could tell him, so they asked again for the manager, and he again told them anything they needed to say they could say it to him. So they told him his attitude was horrible, as they’d had the wrong order brought to them and the way he dealt with them was rude too. He sarcastically said “well I’m sorry YOU feel that way, is there anything else I can do for you?” So they asked for a proper apology and AGAIN he said “sorry YOU feel that way”… not actually apologising for the way he’d been. So they pointed to the manager and asked for him again, the assistant begrudgingly went to get him, they explained they wanted nothing off the bill but were really upset by the assistant’s behaviour to them and saw the same with us. Manager apologised, but didn’t come over to us. No one came to us for the way this guy behaved. Honestly, he needs to get out of hospitality. No one came back to get our second drink order either, not that I care much for that. Regret going, should have just gone to Nando’s like we usually do. Never had bad service there. Think this is potentially the rudest someone has ever been to me in a restaurant?

⭐ 1 Star Review My recent visit to Prezzo at Broughton Retail Park was, unfortunately, one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. While the restaurant itself has potential, it seems even Prezzo HQ has given up on this location, and basic staff training is desperately needed. Our meal was a series of frustrating mishaps. The same wrong order was sent to a table three times in 20 minutes, and despite asking for all our food to arrive together, only one starter came out, with the rest of the meal arriving an hour later after I had to chase it twice. The gin and tonic was served with flat tonic water, and I had to fetch our drinks from the bar as the staff walked past them multiple times. We also had to collect the kids' colouring pencils ourselves because the staff kept forgetting. To top it off, the toilets were out of order, and the ones that were working were falling apart, with leaking fixtures and cupboards with doors hanging off, stuffed with admin stock and menus in full view. The desserts were equally disappointing – the sundaes we ordered looked nothing like what is advertised on the Prezzo website, and the manager's inefficient direction of staff, redoing tasks they'd already completed, left three parties of customers queuing out of the door despite the restaurant being less than 40% full. All in all, it was a disorganised, lackluster experience that I won’t be repeating having been many times over the years.

Will not be returning here again. We had a pre-booked birthday table of 6 guests last night with a £200 bill (with the intention of spending more) Our table was booked for 6pm. We all ordered starters to come out with the mains. 2 of 4 bruschettas came out early and it was literally a peice of pizza dough with a quartered tomato on top. The other 2 bruschettas and 2 other starters did not arrive. We ended up cancelling the 2 further bruschettas after deciding it was not the bruschetta described on the menu and they were extremely late. We then had to ask where the rest of our food was multiple times as we didn’t actually end up with our food until 7.25pm and this was only due to chasing it up with the staff. We had to ask a further time to the manager when would we get the food and he said 4 minutes… 25 mins later we get food. Once this food came out, the starter garlic bread still had not arrived, chased this up and it came out completely uncooked and stone cold to the point the waitress agreed. A new one was brought out following this. Half of the tables food was okay however 2 of the pastas were completely flavourless and 1 of the pizzas came out fully Vegan after specifying multiple times to not have a Vegan pizza and just needed the Vegan cheese due to preference. The staff were not attentive whatsoever. We were happy to order more drinks than we did however every time we tried to ask, the staff would look and ignore us. Everyone intended for about 4 drinks each however only 2 were offered. We had rang up earlier in the day to ask if we could have any dessert (not picky and happy to pay) to be brought out for the bday girl with a candle which was agreed by the staff on the phone and the booking was amended however there was no dessert brought out and no mention of a birthday as it was completely forgotten about by the staff and the bday girl was there blissfully unaware whilst 5 of the table is waiting for the dessert to come out. The bill came to £200, after removing starters due to the lateness and we had tried to order more drinks so the bill would’ve been much bigger had the service been better. Really unfortunate as we had all agreed no one has had issues in this branch before but this has really let them down especially for a special birthday meal which was totally ignored by staff yet them knowing.

Appalling customer service by Bradley Dodd and I spoke with him not once but twice. Spoken to very abruptly and rude and had no regard when I said your being very rude, in fact very disinterested. The restaurant was half empty but they couldn’t seat us because they were fully booked. We sat outside trying to find another venue to go to and not a single person walked in, we could have been seated and half way through our meal by this time. I’m a local resident and have family visiting from abroad and this was embarrassing, yes we could have booked but you usually don’t need to at this particular venue. We even asked if we could eat at the tables outside as well. You really need to send your staff on some training in etiquette. Awful!!! People beware!

Terrible food one dish tasted like cleaning products discusting service poor very slow 2nd time here never again

Went last night August 2 ,Service was appalling. Meal for 6 booked for 6pm food arrived 7 40 apparently staff arguing amongst themselves, drinks ordered but didn't turn up had to ask staff to clear table Very poor

Fantastic food here, I can not fault it at all. Recently have been let down in previous experiences at local restaurants, particularly Italians. But Prezzo did not disappoint, I cannot fault any of the food, the service was fantastic and everything was top notch.

Had a lovely meal, nice quiet on a Thursday lunch time, spinach & ricotta cannelloni was perfect and new pea and something sorry forgotten ravioli was awesome too! Strawberry lemonade was real good too Nice friendly staff also 👌

Went for a father's day meal with my Sister,we were charged for a gin we didn't order,also charged for an extra large garlic bread with balsamic onions and mozzarella menu said 7.75 charged for a sharing bread at 10.75 (Didn't ask for a sharing portion. Will not be going back again

Great food and service, Had a lovely meal here for our Anniversary, staff were friendly and helpful and quick to serve. I had the caprese calzones which was the best one I've had it came with a lovely fresh salad and very nice tomato sauce dip, my wife had the chicken caesar salad which she really enjoyed too. Lovely food and would definitely return.

Called in around 5 yesterday, we had two pasta meals 4 small prawns in one 4 tiny pieces of mushy chicken in the other, garlic bread was like a 99 pence one from Iceland ! Horrible and tiny portions, ps pint of beer £7.00 what a joke

Unfortunately a little lacking on this visit. Although we were one of the first in through the door when it opened at 12:03, it took just over an hour before our food was served. Whilst staff were friendly enough there seemed a lack of attentiveness. Our plates not cleared and no acknowledgement or warning that there was a delay in service times etc.

First visit to this gem of a restaurant! Impressed. Nice ambience, friendly staff, delicious food served within a few minutes of ordering. You must go.

When you order a glass of prosecco 🥂, & it's half filled, but advertise a glass of prosecco, taking the piss, food not as good as it used to be, but charging more, probably will be the next place to close on Broughton shopping park

It's always perfect, and it's a great place. Staff are always fantastic, and the food is always spot on.

It took two hours for the burger that I ordered to appear and then it was the wrong one. Never again.

Food on the odd occasion we visit Prezzo is always quite good, although on this occasion the orzo salad we had as part of our meal was tasteless. Very expensive £55+ for a shared antipasti platter, a mixed regular pizza & an orzo salad with two weak white wine spritzer at £6 each

Service was very slow, food was OK. The pumpkin ravioli was very small and not good value for money. Nothing special, would not go again.

Random unplanned visit after a bit of Sat morning shopping. Am a pizza lover so have high standards and didn't disappoint. Very authentic, thin crispy base and not overloaded with ingredients, how an Italian pizza is supposed to be (opposite of American style stodgy base with far too much on top). Great wider menu, service was quick, efficient and friendly.

Great place for a quick lunch or an evening out. The food is amazing (we had the prawn risotto). Staff are really friendly and professional. Nice relaxed atmosphere

Great Italian, good service and good food

Very poor start stood by the door with the waiters walking passed with us being stood there for 5 minutes to then be sent out and told to come back in 10 minutes with plenty of tables free inside. We then got in and was waiting 20 minutes for a drink. With 3 waiters stood by the bar talking whilst we was waiting to order. Food took ages to come out.

Nicola was absolutely amazing today. We had experienced some delays / errors with our orders due to how busy it was and fully appreciate these things happen; however, Nicola quickly identified our delay, sorted us with a round of drinks in the house and was super generous with our bill to apologise for the experience. I don’t normally write reviews but my experience was really disappointing. It was a special meal I had booked for myself and my Mum. We’re seated on a dirty booth and told “oh it’s just pizza flour” oh that’s fine then when we’ve come out for dinner? And had to ask to move after he ignored me when I asked if he had a bottle of D10 to spray the seats with. The drinks orders were wrong. Service was ridiculously slow even with about 6/7 tables to a 3 waiter ratio. Had to wait over an hour for our mains which was 2 pasta dishes. Really unhappy as this used to be an alright place for some quick, decent food.

Nice place, good food and excellent service. Would have been quite pricey with the Tesco Clubcard vouchers worth 3 times their face value.

Our group waited almost an hour for our food. When the very small servings arrived they were all over-cooked. My fish was dry, with literally a handful of vegetables hidden under it, in an over salty tomato puree. To make matters worse all the meals were around £15, with mine being £18! That's way too expensive for such a poor meal. It wasn't even busy in the restaurant and there seemed to be plenty of staff. So I don't understand how it can be so bad. The only reason I don't give 1 Star is because the staff were actually very nice.

Staff were lovely but the toppings on the pizzas were rationed to almost being nonexistent. Very disappointing. Just glad we were using Tesco vouchers and not ‘real’ money!

We spent our wedding anniversary here and unfortunately we regret it very much. I will start with the fact that the first time we were asked to leave, because they accept only with reservations, which is crazy when the table is practically empty, and you can reserve free tables on the application in 15 minutes. We came back later the whole family. We waited almost an hour for our food! Apart from us, 8 tables were occupied, meanwhile guests were cleared to at least 10 tables because there was no reservation, and 27 tables were empty. Food very mediocre. My kid ordered a hamburger with chicken - I admit that I would be ashamed to serve something like that. A dry bun with an even drier piece of chicken poison, burnt, hard and completely unsealed. Nothing else. Neither tomato, nor cucumber or even lettuce leaf. The hamburger was nasty. The visit was saved by a tasty dessert. Service nice but slow, confusing. I am very disappointed and do not recommend it!

Not over impressed to be honest . Ordered a burger said no sauce yep you guessed it waiter didn't listen. Took it away returned minus my bacon . They simply took the bacon off and returned it then brought me some bacon on a plate 😂 Service was very slow loads waiting not many eating..

Anywhere that flat turns me away asking if we've booked online isn't going to get a good rating from me. Too many places are persisting with COVID policies or obsessing over efficiencies, destroys all spontaneity in the world. When we arrived there was evidence of tables.

I hate posting bad reviews but this was not a great first impression. Been to several Prezzos in the UK and never had an experience like this one. Arrived at the door with my partner last Monday evening around 7/8pm it wasn’t busy although it looked chaotic. It seemed like there was only one girl working whilst others where standing behind the bar with the manager continuously watching the entrance as we waited for 10 minutes without even a hello. I wouldn’t mind being told we had to wait to be seated or a wait on food but the fact was there wasn’t even a acknowledgement. The customers sat down looked even more puzzled than we did as non we’re getting cleared and one waiter seemed to be hiding in the toilet and walking back and forth into the walls of the restaurant. Having worked as a manager myself I was just a bit shocked. At this point we just left. Such a shame really.

Very rare for me to post a negative review 🥺. Pizza very anemic in the verge of being totally undercooked, chewy and salty. Random use of excess salt and pepper seasoning see the picture of my child's plate. No child should have that salt added to their food. Service was ridiculously slow (not as though they were busy).

Had a voucher as a gift to go to Prezzo, nice atmosphere and staff were accommodating, had a set menu but plenty to choose from. Food was really good, we were pleasantly surprised! 14 month old baby with us, highchair ready for him and baby portion of tomato pasta was pretty big! He loved it!

Very disappointed. Drove over an hour to meet my sister. Booked a table and were put in middle of the restaurant so I asked if possible to move. Put on a different table with no menus and noone coming over for more than 15 minutes for even a drinks order. My prawn starter was tasteless and both our main courses were luke warm. Ordered drinks (eventually) and they were left on the bar as staff kept walking past, including the two guys working who were unwelcoming. We could see the girl serving us was trying but could of done with help.

Very busy, good food and a very sensibly located (from a business perspective) food outlet. No complaints.

We went for my daughter's birthday week night, we had to wait a long time once sat down before anybody came over to us. When we had finished our mains we must have sat waiting for good 10 minutes before someone came over to clear our plates. Not best service we have had at a Prezzo

The service was EXCELLENT and the young lady was so nice.. I had the pizza with salad there were 4 king prawns and it was NOT HOT EITHER and for the price of it . I CAN GET A PIZZA FROM TESCO OR ICELANS WITH ALOT MORE TOPPINGS THAN THAT AND ALSO ALOT CHEAPER. FOOD WISE AM DISSATISFIED.

Says on Meerkat rewards walk ins are welcome, so did not feel the need to book however turned up to be turned away from a quiet restaurant being told walk ins are not welcome

Met a friend who was visiting from Dubai, we all enjoyed our meals. The good is always fresh and tasty, no complaints (except for one which was the beef dish had pork in, and I don't eat pork, at first thought it was a spelling mistake on the menu 'port')

10 mins for a hello 30 mins for a garlic bread and then staff congregating having a chat around the table making us feel like we owed them money. Brought the mains out with the starter and generally rushes from start to finish. We were out the door in under 45 mins and that was only because it took them so long to acknowledge us and bring a garlic bread. Manager was more interested in a smoke break than the deteriorating situation his inexperienced waitresses. Food was warm, tasted like it had at least an ounce of effort. Meerkat Price still came to nearly £30 two mains and a Pepsi… it’s not the waitresses fault it’s the management. Toilets broken and dirty.

Very disappointing visit today. Got an eye roll from waiting staff when i asked for tap water and not alcohol. New Ravioli dish portion size was very small and Luke warm, although partners pizza was large, so I finished a while before him. Was not asked if everything was ok the whole time there. Asked if we wanted anything else, said yes but she went to do other jobs & didn't return with menu so we just got up and went to pay. Felt very uncomfortable and not welcome start to finish!

Very nice staff, our order did not take long to arrive at table. Meal was well presented and hot, and we really enjoyed it. For bus worth a visit, not the cheapest but very good.

Not always 100% accurate with the orders, but lovely food.

The staff were lovely but almost everything else was not starting with uncomfortable chairs. Almost prohibitively expensive for food that I would not choose to eat again. The olives looked like they'd been scraped from the bottom of the jar and were in way too much excess oil, the chicken mushroom main was very bland and watery and the chicken was in thin overcooked chewy slices, not to mention the downright cheeky broccoli side dish, costing around a pound each for every 'stem' therein. The chips and garlic mayo were nice though. Also to the restaurant's credit, they did give us a discount after finding the meal didn't thrill us.

When the chef is rolling his eyes at your returned pathetic excuse of a pizza that’s when you know you may as well have gone to McDonald’s across the road. Not the mention the replacement meal being incorrect too ending up without a main meal. Card machine was also broken so was told we could only order online and couldn’t use our taste card. 5 minutes after ordering online.. the card machine worked again. Wouldn’t step foot in here again not even with a 2-4-1 voucher. The chef needs to sort his cooking out and his attitude.

Lovely food and helpful staff, but considering it wasn't heaving, the waiting times were very long. It took 2 hours to get one round of drinks, a main and a dessert for 2 people. Other than that, very happy.

A light airy restaurant with pleasant, attentive staff. Food is good and a nice selection of cocktails and wines. Worth a visit.

Do not go here or work here the manager takes advantage of his female employees and when they say no he fires them and makes up storys to HR

Really spacious with screens between the tables, which in my opinion should be retained after covid rules relaxed. Food is freshly prepared and delicious. Staff very friendly without being intrusive.Would highly recommend.

They are treating Covid19 seriously and practicing good social distancing (anti bac gel on entry, not getting too close, and good spacing of tables). I felt very safe. Food was excellent too!

Food was surprisingly nice more on the average side. However like most places it doesn't matter how good the food is if the service isn't up to scratch. What annoyed us the most was the 5 members of staff just stood around doing nothing other than having a chat when there's clearly tables to be served. I personally won't be chosing prezzo again but I'm not going to say no if I'm invited.

Excellent food and even better service even though we were a group of ten with children. We will definitely return soon and would highly recommend to anyone thinking of dining out here.
