Premier Inn Ayr/Prestwick Airport hotel in South Ayrshire

We stay for an emergency at home after a tornando. The hotel was clean, comfortable, the beds nice big and comfortable, shower modern and very good amenities. They were very helpful as it was last minute.

Clean tidy restaurant accessible friendly staff

I arrived at 3.30am and told the friendly night manager that I'd be sleeping late and then checking out at 12 noon, the published check out time. I also put the "I am sleeping" door handle sign outside my room. In spite of all that, cleaners still barged in using their key pass while I was still in bed at just gone 11am. This is unacceptable as check out time is 12 noon. On check out I told the receptionist about this and she kept saying "No problem!" It was for me, the only thing I require of a hotel is privacy. She did say she'd "speak to managers but they wouldn't be able to do anything" - obviously, it had already happened. Not good enough. The second night I moved to the Travelodge, half the price and I wasn't walked in on. Photo is of a ladder plonked in the staircase when I walked down to reception to check out.

Great service as normal and rooms very clean. WiFi is not great. The restaurant next door as it seems to close whenever wants, which is not good when you have been travelling for hours. But I just got a Dominos delivery instead.

Recently stayed here for a couple nights, really good experience. Nice, fresh, and spotlessly clean rooms. Modern and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff across the hotel and restaurant. The restaurant does definitely need an upgrade however to bring it up to the same standard as the rest of the hotel. Damaged walls in places and older furniture.

The newly renovated rooms are so much better! We've stayed here when visiting family in Troon regularly over the past 8+ years and usually the hotel isn't anything special. But the new rooms have really helped, nice bathrooms, great shower, good size TV, storage space etc! Really lovely! I look forwarded to coming now rather than it being the only option and not a great one! Thanks for putting work into them!!

Nice rooms, warm rooms. Wifi not good enough. No electrical shaving points in the room.

Great location for getting to the airport but pretty dated hotel.

Should not be open while under renovation. Restaurant is very depressing. Not within walking distance to anything good. Do not recommend.

Probably the worst Premier Inn in the group. Definitely worth avoiding. Bar and restaurant close too early cannot get food or drink after 8:30 on a Sunday evening. The rooms are so old and tried can’t even charge your phone next to your bed. Only 3 user power sockets in bedroom. Try to avoid unless desperate

Difficult to find using the postcode! Just off the roundabout heading to Monkton, but located behind the petrol station.

Stayed here when we went to a wedding locally. Room was lonely and clean. Easy to get to and only 5 mins drive to Prestwick and 15 mins drive to Ayr. Staff were lovely. Nothing was too much when we asked. Can't fault anything

Still waiting on my refund for meal.
