Black Rooster Ayr in South Ayrshire

Very rude over the phone. I called 9.34 for collection order. The guy who is superviser refused to take the order saying kitchen is closed. It says on Google closing time is 10.00 PM. How does it work ? He hung up on me and said we will not take the order. I felt let down being an existing customer and I don't think I will be ordering from them. Food is already average with high prices. I was going to order for 5 people so their lost not mine.

Good food but quite expensive for what you get. And 3 times in a row I have ordered the same meal and 3 times in a row they have forgotten to pack the sauce that I paid extra for.

I recently visited Black Rooster Ayr and tried their Spicy Chicken Burger, and I must say, it was absolutely delicious! The chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy, and the spice level was just right – not overwhelming, but still packed with flavor. The bun was soft, and the toppings complemented the burger perfectly. The portion size was generous, and the overall experience was fantastic. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming. I highly recommend Black Rooster for anyone looking for a great meal. I’ll definitely be back!

Restaurant and facilities basic , staff friendly and helpful , food really good and very reasonably priced .

It’s not the first time we ordered from here, but it’s definitely the last, the chicken “tenders” were anything but tender, was like chewing a tyre… and for something that looked like maybe two chicken breasts covered in sauce, no coating, just chicken and sauce 10 pieces came in at £16. Very disappointing, considering we really enjoyed it last time.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Wasn't expecting much from this place, but I must say I was very impressed. The food was presented beautifully on a big , spacious tray & ALL the food provided was spot on delicious. I'll definitely be a return customer. Well done guys !.

Absolutely loved it. The service and taste was amazing. I forgot to ask the main lady at till. She was amazing, welcomed us with greetings . I was delighted to know whole menu is halal. Keep up the good work.

Mid at best, just way too much peri salt on everything. Pepes is miles better

Good concept, got 2 separate orders wrong and gave us the wrong thing, one of them tasted almost “off”, service wasn’t ideal, staff standing round staring at you eat and place was dead, won’t be back unfortunately :/

Absolutely awful Hounded into the shop by staff , once in no better… Lemon and herb lol was more like uncooked chicken with lemon juice sprayed over the top Chicken was pink still Peri peri strips were uncooked If I could put half a start throughout I would Complete waste of £30 plus pounds

Was down on Tuesday and got leaflets outside offering discount so me and son got good deal and food was great and customer service team very helpful

Just been for the first time, great food, great value and most importantly, great people, especially Anita who is an absolute credit to your restaurant. If I could award more than 5 stars I definitely would. We will be back 100% ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

Amazing food!! Better than Nandos, KFC etc. Also have amazing Mac and cheese bites, really recommend!

Protein diet works well here. Always fresh always amazing staff and service. Wouldn’t go anywhere else

Could do with a few more tables to increase atmosphere, however, staff were brilliant and food was spot on. If I worked in Ayr centre I'd be in a couple of times a week for lunch.

Food was hot and perfectly cooked. Service was great and friendly staff. Also I find a lot of restaurants are quite cold to sit in but this wasn't the case here. Also my son only drinks one kind of drink and they didn't have it in stock but the staff were great offered him something similar.

Food arrived very late. Chips and rice were stone cold, chicken was dry and flavourless and very small amount for price. Yes everything is getting more expensive these days but this was an appalling price to pay for the quantity and quality. Could have driven to Nando’s at silverburn and back for roughly the same order and spent less money, had it quicker, and probably still be warmer than our order was!

Went for the loaded peri peri fries - was not disappointed! Came in when it first opened and went for mild chicken, but thought it was too mild so went hot...blew my head off! Absolutely loved it, so much flavour, chips were cooked lovely. Really good portion size. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Very clean and lovely atmosphere.

Disappointing... low quality and slow service, not worth the money.

Staff is friendly but they definitely need better training, loads of items unavailable, waiting time horrible, after ordering few items was unavailable… taste of mango and lime chicken was like cheap perfumes from Lidl … really bad … salad for over £7 was disgusting as well. Pepsi taste like chlorine fizzy water… we are really disappointed for over £30… Also chicken has a hairs on skin …

So glad that Black Rooster has opened in Ayr! The menu is great and very good value. The food is excellent, especially the wings! The hot lemon & herb sauce is the bomb! Staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is just right. Highly recommend!

First time trying black rooster and wasn’t disappointed had the wings platter and two sides mango and lime was lovely fresh and well worth the value there huge wings had to take a few home was stuffed the peri fries where so fresh and really delicious staff where so attentive overall I enjoyed it and will definitely recommend and be back

For somewhere that has just opened its quick friendly service was overshadowed by the priciness of the food. I ordered butterfly chicken with fries and the fries were fresher than the chicken which was a disappointment since the flavour of the chicken was nice. Seeing as the restaurant has just opened I'm sure there are a few kinks to work out but all in all not bad.
