Located in the city centre about 10 mins walk away from the queen street station, food is by far the best I’ve tried, definitely my favorite from now on 🥹 waiting time is longer than usual and there is only one waiter working in the shop.

Nice little hidden spot Pros: The food was great and the portions were very generous. Amazing service too. Cons: It felt stuffy, the table was not clean, there bathrooms were very dirty. Drinks tasted watered down before the ice melted.

Perfect Thai lunch place, after several visits, found the chef is a very soft speaking and kind Thai lady. Marked as a favour eatery in Cardiff Queen Station.

We visited on a weekday evening and it wasn't crowded. I enjoyed the relatively mild Thai meal.

Very disappointed. Went here to celebrate my daughters birthday. The service was terrible. We had to go up to the bar to order drinks as no one was coming to the table. Also had to ask for food menus. We waited some time for someone to come over and take our order, but no one came. So went up to the bar again to ask if someone if they could take our order. It was a Wednesday evening so very quiet. Only 2 other tables. The decor was drab and needs some attention. I also asked if they could pop a candle on a desert, but that never happened. Would not recommend. I work in the hospitality business so I know what’s expected.

Came here using First Table (50% Off) the food was so beautiful would have happily paid 100%. Our waitress was very accommodating and unlike some other First Table Restaurant's did not make us feel any different from other diners (some do treat you like an issue for using a service they sign up for) Highly recommend a few starters including: chicken satay, Thai fish cakes and prawns in batter. Also number 31 on menu the pineapple filled with rice and prawns is sensational. Decor and interior not a high standard but the food makes up for this.

The food tastes great, but the service is poor, so why? We came to the shop today to dine, then we first chose a round table in the shop, but found that the table is not clean, so I chose to let the waiter come, but waited a long time did not come, so I stood up to check, found the waiter where the bar sitting, so I asked her to come over to help me to clean the table, but she said that the table is clean, I said the table is obviously sticky you can feel, after a period of time my girlfriend and I chose to change a table to dine. I said this table is obviously sticky you can feel, after a period of time my girlfriend and I chose to eat at a different table, after ordering food and waiting for almost 40 minutes a dish has not been on, but our table is almost the entire shop's earliest guests, the other tables basically on the some dishes, I said almost all of the evidence can be. So I called the waitress over and asked her why I had been sitting here for 40 minutes without being served a single dish. Her response was that because we are a small restaurant we can't have faster serving. I said I didn't ask for faster service, I just wanted to ask why the customers who came later than me were served and I didn't get a single dish. The waiter's response was: Well, do you want to talk to my manager? I said yes and the manager didn't even come out to communicate with us until we finished the whole meal. Really breathtaking quality of service!

The pork ribs are banging. Worth the trip for them alone

They were so kind and patient with our large group, and the portions were really tasty and big for the express menu that we ordered. The service was really prompt and it was really cute environment.

Excellent attention, every time. We selected a set menu for two, That came in two parts, starters and main, that all together turned into a banquet of delicious flavours and colours. And of course, we had wine too.

We had a meal there yesterday around 6:30pm. The whole place was empty when we went in. Not much fresh ingredients but too much sauce for curry dishes. They were tasted like reheated leftovers. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Nice place to eat. We had a first table voucher which gave us 50% off food and we were the only people there! Very nice waitress and good menu. We don't eat meat and when I asked, the waitress said any of the curries or stir fries can be adapted to be vegetarian, so that made the menu even better for us 😁. The food came quickly and was very flavourful. My green curry was just the right heat for me. I would recommend this restaurant and we will visit again.

The Massaman curry is absolutely fantastic. Our waitress was really nice and friendly. Overall it was a fantastic experience. Highly recommended. Great value too.

First visit, and how pleased we were to find it. Friendly and helpful staff, good choice on menu, and excellent food. The "canal works" in Churchill Way may put some people off, but DO give it a try. We weren't disappointed!

The food was absolutely splendid.The sever delivered the food with a smile and was always happy to help with any inquires we had as we are vegetarian.Surprisingly the bill was lower than expected we dined for 13 people and the bill all surprised us.Very good value and a cheerful atmosphere.

Lovely venue. We were visiting Cardiff and looked for a last-minute place to eat, what an absolute find, the service was outstanding and the friendly nature just made the evening special. The food was very tasty and freshly made. I would highly recommend Praya Thai to anyone. Saroya was an absolute pleasure to deal with she is a fantastic host. Thank you to all the team.

Супи - вогонь, особливо з кокосовим молоком! Риба сибас - неймовірно смачна. Подача красива, посуда тепла. Ми добре відпочили. Ціни високі, але й страви прикольні. Новий досвід.

This place is one of the best places in Cardiff for Thai food. It's slightly hidden on one of the busiest streets in Cardiff. The service here is very good and the staff here is very welcoming. Food is very authentic. Must try Thai milk tea.

My partner and I were the only ones in there and there was no music.The only sound was us crunching on prawn crackers! The food was awful. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

Wow! What an amazing surprise really beautifully presented food and very non standard choices!!!!

We booked Praya Thai for an easy, comfortable Saturday night dinner and we were not disappointed. We had the fishcakes and chicken skewers to start with both yellow and green chicken curries to follow. The chicken skewers were so flavourful and the fishcakes were zingy and a lovely sized portion for a starter. The yellow curry was creamy and delicious and the green curry was packed to the brim with flavour followed by a real spicy kick - my favorite! We shared an egg fried rice and we both have a good appetite but despite us wanting to, we couldn't fit it all in. We came home and wished we had ordered more so we could have some more as a midnight snack! Definitely returning ASAP. Friendly service, delicious and authentic Thai served in a relaxed an easy going environment. Thanks guys!

Very good Thai Currys - we went for Thai green (veg) and yellow curry from the set lunchtime menu and came out to just under £10. Fast service too. Told the waitress about my nut allergies and she took note! I recommend for good and cheap Thai food in Cardiff!

I ordered Tom yum gung and a pineapple fried rice, very happy with my order. They both taste like 'traditional Thai Food' if you know what I mean (not the English style Thai food). Prawns were very fresh. Staff was friendly. The only down side was the restaurant is located in the basement, ventilation system was not very good and the dining area dmell of cooking odors.

I must admit to having a very unsatisfactory experience at this restaurant. Firstly, the waiter did not ask if we had any allergens. Secondly, we always thought that the milk tea was a mixture of green tea and milk because the green thai milk tea we had at other Thai restaurants consisted of green tea and milk tea. The waiter brought us a mixture of green tea and cream, and one of our customers was allergic to cream. We immediately asked the waitress to exchange the milk tea for a cup without cream and return the one with cream, she refused our request and still asked us to pay for the previous one with cream. Secondly, the bowl we were served was not cleaned and there were leftover food residues from the previous customer at the bottom of the bowl, very disgusting! The waitress also did not offer any apology！！

Evening meal, delicious food, cold beer, yummy rice. Only down side was no air con bit the food and service was so good i wasn't going to penalise the stars for that. Great little hidden find on a bank holiday evening.

Very Disappointing Meal. Food was incredibly bland and the portions were miserly. Spent £41 and both of us are still very hungry. Avoid the garlic mushrooms, the gyoza and the Gai Pat Med Mamaung. All were tasteless and the GPMM's breaded chicken was mushy, like a paste.

Hidden gem! The food here was absolutely delightful and clearly cooked fresh to order. Each dish was so flavoursome and came in decent portion sizes. The service was so polite and respectful. If we are ever back in Cardiff, we will certainly be returning to dine here.

This place is amazing, I love their crispy chicken wings so much. The atmosphere is calming and the food is aromatic. The portion sizes are also amazing.

The food was delicious! The steak, accompanied with a chilli dip, was charred to perfection and the lamb shank was tender coated with a sweet savoury peanut curry sauce. Both served with a side of hot steamy rice. 10/10 would recommended.

A Real Gem This was our first visit and will be definitely be back. The food was great and the staff were really attentive. Some reviews say the decor need a little tlc - let’s remember that the catering industry is just recovering from a pandemic.

What a hidden gem! Ordered a beef massaman curry while my friend ordered a green Thai curry and we both said it was one of the best curries we've had! Only went this evening and have already recommended to several friends and cannot wait to return and try more of the dishes!

Agree with others, this is a hidden gem. Initially i was a bit put off by the location and the decor would benefit from a bit of tlc but it was clean , the service was friendly and the food was amazing. It was fresh and tasty , one of the best thai restaurants for food i have been to.

Fabulous unpretentious restaurant with a lovely chilled ambience and not too flashy or fussy. Never been to this place before but what a great little discovery. Intimate and cosy with warm and attentive staff. Dishes are fabulous - very authentic but nothing was too spicy, or took long to arrive. I could tell the food was good by the amount of Thai customers as I watched the place slowly fill up around my table. I cannot wait to visit again as the food was superb and the experience very warm and pleasant.

Such a delicious meal. Portions were good . The duck and jumbo prawns were total heaven. Also thought prices were good value. We had 2 speciality main meals following Thai prawn crackers jasmine rice and chicken pad Thai with a bottle of wine for £76. Will definitely be back again. Linda and Pet

I have tried a lot of Thai restaurants all over uk but the food here is the best so far I had. The staff are really cordial and well mannered. The location is a bit tricky to find but if some one wants delicious Thai food with very reasonable.price, this is the place

Paid almost £40 for two massaman curries. Which were far from the experience of a proper massaman curry. Outrageously bad. Rice was clumpy and wouldn't separate, the sauce was more comparable to a soup, and the beef were huge hard chunks. One of the worst meals ive had in a long time.

Food is unreal with brilliant staff 🙌 totally recommend!
