Pastries & Cakes was nice and decent on price. Good for big families! We had the steak slices and some chicken bakes plus some sandwiches. the jammy heart biscuits was fantastic nice and soft. Overall we all enjoyed the food

Great value for money and food is hot and tasty. Staff friendly and shop easily accessible in a wheelchair. Good selection of pastries, sweet and savoury, and cakes and baguettes. The castle is 5 minutes away so you can eat with a view.

Okay if you want a cheap sandwich but their pasties are terrible. The sausage and bean pastie has no sausage or beans in it. You get what you paid for here!

A good friend of mine who visited today was shocked that staff members are touching food without gloves or utensils without washing their hands. Quite appalling. You cannot handle cash and then touch fresh food like they did. Disgusting, no hygiene.

Cheap but good pastries, would choose this over Gregg's anytime.

Nice staff, and a decent enough option for a quick hot cheap snack. It's not going to get a Michelin star soon, but you won't go hungry because times are tough. On a cold, blustery shopping day; a hot steak slice will hit the right spot. 👍🏼

Pound Bakery what's not to like...you get what you pay for. Some funky flavours that are only for the head strong but again for a quid...no big loss but generally good value 😀

I love the spicy chicken pasties from here highly recommended. Sometimes gets very busy especially on a Saturday when the market is on too.
