Potters Fish Bar in Coventry

The beef and onion pasta was very dry. Normally pretty good.

We wiill never order from here again. The prices compared to the portion size was honestly the worst we have ever come across. £3 for a tiny pot of curry/gravy. And it wasn't even good either. Never, ever again.

Was stood for 10 minutes with no acknowledgement by any staff. To busy with delivery orders to serve a paying customer. Just walked out. Plus extortionate price for chips. Never again

First time ordering and it was delicious

ordered large kebab in tray with chips, looked more like a kids meal and the delivery driver walked away without giving me my drinks

I have to say I ordered Masala Fish (cod) and I would recommend,well flavoured and presented for delivery,under a Tenna with salad,masala chips and dip.

Lovely meal. This is the fifth (probably more) times we have ordered from them. Let’s just say it’s the only chippy we order from. Delivered within the time frame, polite delivery man who asked for our order code. Good portions.

Crap service, 50 mins just for a cone of chips, the owner is unprofessional and customer service is 0% If you order chips.. wait 50 mins and it’s cold

Food was cold, i had to reheat in microwave.

the fish was awful , the batter was very soggy and all stuck to paper , the chips also were undercooked and overall not an enjoyable meal won’t be getting again

Poor service, i called these guys over the phone immediately after i'd made the order on Deliveroo to add some ketchup to the order and they said the driver had already left. Unless they were using telepathy and the driver had left before i'd even made the order i'm not sure how that could be true. I mean ...why lie.... The good thing was that they got fish and chips right, food was tasty but small. £15 for a small fish and chips, next time ill just walk down to the nearest one, cheaper and bigger.

The most expensive large portion of cold chips I have ordered. I asked for a regular portion but when I saw the size of the portion I upgraded to a large portion, I could have counted the chips if you’d have given me a minute.

Would be a great idea to actually advertise that the “chicken kebab” is actually chicken tikka. Something which I cannot eat. So due to this not being advertised as chicken tikka. I’ve paid for food that I can’t eat. Waste of money & time.

Food was well received and hot, arriving very quickly which was appreciated. Presented well, but overall much smaller portions than similar places and a bit more expensive. Not amazing tasting, the large fish was small and far too greasy, as was the kebab, which was no more than a few strips, very disappointing. Worth it only while there was an offer and may go back for similar but with competition as it is and able to get the same food in larger amounts for less, first impressions are vital.

We have been using this chippy again in the last year or so it having improved. But sorry, dry overcooked food means no more.

The portions of chips are ridiculous ! Large chips is such a small portion, chip batch just a few chips, a joke! They used to be really good, such a shame!

Visited recently and an awful experience. Wanted fish, was advised the fish that was cooked was for online orders and would be another 4 minutes. I waited and after 6 minutes i asked about the fish and was told it was just going in to cook. Asked for a refund and told them it was poor service and the staff member, soon followed by management, ended up in a shouting match with us and told us if we didnt like it we could go elsewhere. In summary unless you order through an app, or have lots of free time to wait, then avoid this place

Lovely food as always. Nicely fried chips not greasey at all and a mahoosive kebab...Pukka!!

If your going to serve food at least make it edible, I brought chicken from here this evening at 7.30 ad it was dry a a bone couldn't eat it .

First time ordering online from here as I usually collect. Lesson learned, very long wait and very poor half sized, luke warm portions. Food was stuck to wrapping due to time spent inside it and had to be scraped off. Won’t be ordering again. Real shame as I like this place normally.

Great food as always but the customer service I received today from the restaurant was awful because of an error they made on the menu- and when I tried to rectify but couldn’t I got another earful. would use again but the one gentleman needs training in how to talk to customers with politeness and courtesy.

No salt and vinegar as requested, batter on the fish soggy and to thick, could have walked to the chippy and received it quicker

Lovely and cheerful delivery guy. I had ordered the scampi and cone of chips. It was well presented and so tasty. It was my Son who recommended Potters Fish Bar to me, he’s ordered regularly from you, high praise as he lived next door to a fish and chip shop. Will definitely be ordering from them again.

Can’t give any stars as for the 2nd time the order didn’t arrive ! Just eat customer support is absolutely shocking.

Kebab meat and chips, very small amount in burger bun tray, not your normal size tray and overpriced. Sausage in batter small sausage and overpriced. Won't be using again way overpriced for what you get.

Delivery time changed, however when arrived, scampi was stone cold, chips had been squashed so much we could get them off the paper. Normally food is lovely, hopefully this is a one off

The food was ok but the portion size for the price was unreasonable. I appreciate that things are more expensive but the amount of food received did not justify the cost, especially in comparison to other places in the area. Will not be using again

After paying £3 for a battered sausage was expecting it to be large sized, only got a mini, tasted like it had been reheated, batter was soggy very disappointing from a place that is usually better than this especially when charging extortionate prices! 2 star rating

Just paid for a large fish, opened it the batter was hard and the fish did not look white, its though it had been sitting there a while then you sold it to me, through most of it away

Lots of bad chips ,with black holes and rotten parts ,not good at all.

Shocking! It took 1 hour to assign a driver. It then took another hour and a half for the food to be delivered. The food was disgusting and I suspect it had been on a hot plate for over an hour. The dog enjoyed it that's a bonus! Wouldn't ever use your service again, and I wouldn't buy food from Potters fish bar ever again.

Food portions are terrible for the price! Chips are dry and hard, sauce is watered down. Not good at all.

Kebab was tiny, in a pitta not a naan and wasn’t a mixed one as requested! Ordered a large chips and wasn’t a large portion at all and 2 items were missing from the order. It tasted ok but very disappointed

First time ordering here and it didn’t really make an impression. I ordered a large bag of chips and when they arrived they were on the medium side if you ask me, I expect more considering you are paying over £5 for them. The large fish was also smaller than I expected it to be again, considering it was £10. Some of the food was ok, the pie was nice but that’s just a standard pukka pie - the fish was cooked very nicely and the mushy peas were also very nice. The chips were a bit dry. The sausage I ordered for my daughter was inedible, like it had been sat out under the hot light for a very long time and was over cooked.

Ordered through just eat order never turned up call the restaurant they show no intrest and just said you have to contact just eat absolute joke sat here now after a 15 hour day with no food and 20 pound down will make sure I tell everyone I know who park in this area to never order for potters fish bar😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Popped in on way home, first time visiting. Chips were dry but edible, I wouldn’t go again if I had the option. Not bad for a quick meal.

Love the food from this fish bar. Tastes absolutley delishous. You get your moneys worth as the portions are generous & the staff are very polite & welcoming towards you.

I prefer the chicken shop near by.

The fish wasn’t cod so I found it expensive and not as tasty as the cod ordered
