Use Portway regularly but after tonight never again so shocked what my husband came back with normally have fish and chip special with curry sauce when he came back with it no salt and vinegar and no curry sauce so dry it was awful

Love the food from this chip shop. Food is extremely tasty and excellent value for money. As you can tell from the title the battered chips are amazing and the best in the area !!!

Foods normally nice but I ate it tonight it’s disappointed me as a customer also it’s sent me bad , sick 🤒🤮.

Went in last night on the Friday 25/10 The chips was horrible like that they have been standing around for hours and the pie was hard as if it was microwaved Wouldn’t recommend

What has happened to the food at Portway Chippy ? Visited today and food was awful ! Potatoes were all black inside and it showed on the outside too. Fish was ok but not up to their usual standards. Won't be visiting again in a hurry. Most of the food went straight in the bin.

Had a chicken curry from this place today. It was disgusting. He cut the chicken off the kebab. Dipped it in curry sauce. Then added tomatoes sauce. Then added mint sauce. Put it in the microwave. That's all you could taste was mint. About 1 hour after I could still taste it. The chip shop itself looks spotless and very hygienic. But the curry is rank. Please do not put mint sauce in your curry. It just tasted like a chicken after eight. it was like having a main meal and a dessert in one. Tasted more like a mcflurry than a curry.

Worst chips I ate as I found rock in battered chips that made a crater inside filling costing me nearly £60 to fix.

One of the best chip shops I’ve been to. The fish and chips were so fresh and not too greasy. Friendly staff and reasonably priced. Will definitely be back!

Quality food which is reasonably priced. Staff are always friendly and welcoming and will go out of their way to accommodate your needs. An all round great little chippy which stands above the rest in the area.

Good quality food, same owners as Rowley Village, so similar to that. Do nice fish & chips as well as mixed kebab

We regularly use this chip shop and it is fantastic. Food is always good quality and fresh/hot. Staff are welcoming and friendly. The kebab meat there is really delicious.

Always good food chicken tikka kebab to die for, battered chips lovely, would not go to any other chippy.

Passed this chip shop by off chance. Smelt the chips and thought I was going to buy chips.. nice clean place, the chips was lovely & fresh really nice ;)

Great tasting food and lots of it - clean and quick. Service could be better, lots of staff behind the counter cooking and staring at the customers not much communication or banter

Been coming here for a few years now. Good food and great staff and they have recently started a delivery service.

Just visited this fish bar for first time, the fish and so called orange chips were cooked just great, really enjoyed them. Will most definitely return for more

Hemos usado este chips para nueve años ordenados en cinco a cinco dieron orden equivocado y comida fría y en 7. 30 todavía esperando por la comida. Tenía teléfono poner en mí dos veces el servicio al cliente es espantosa. Ver a ser no puede tragárselo con pena demanda no saben cómo manejar a los clientes.

Very good Fish and Chips. Cod always nice and fresh. Staff are friendly and it is always busy which is a good thing. Battered chips are superb. And has recently had a total refurbishment. Keep up the good work and don't change anything.

El personal es educado. No patatas naranja maltratada. Ahora me ofrecen un servicio de entrega para pedidos de más de £10,00. Siempre ocupados, así que llegar pronto. Que han mejorado como la comida tenía un poco ido cuesta abajo.

We travel 100 miles to visit family and have the orange chips every time. We are from the north and my family have never had these before but they love them.
