Llamado esta mañana para el desayuno. No defraudó.

No faltaba nada. .

No debería haber molestado.

Recommended by a friend of ours who previously worked at the Belfast docks highly recommended this restaurant to us to experience the Belfast dock experience and he wasn’t wrong . Wonderful welcome , gentle helpful staff . Detailed menu with kids menu also . Other half went for the burger special which he enjoyed. My choice was the most popular dish the Cajun chicken but unfortunately the peppercorn sauce was very overpowering but it wasn’t bad all the same . Kids enjoyed their choices and ice cream after . Nice atmosphere, it was Friday evening buss in the air . We enjoyed our visit here and would recommend.

Staff were very welcoming and brought out a high chair without being asked and were full of smiles for her. That might be because she is so cute, of course. I'm not biased. We had Gunness while waiting on our food which was excellent. Food arrived before the first pint was finished. The ultimate burger was indeed ultimate and the cajun chicken was fantastic. The vegetables of sizzling broccoli and baby carrots with the cajun chicken chicken were beautifully cooked and sweet! Great chips and - really crisp!

It also has ample free car parking. We just popped in for a late lunch. My two companions had the generous chicken Panini's at just £5.50 each (a bargain). I chose to go with a lunch special of grilled Salmon on a Chorizo flavored potato mash base with baby carrots for £12.50 (delicious). Service was pleasant and efficient. The meals arrived quickly. Just had a late lunch at The Portside. I ordered chicken curry with fluffy rice. What came was chicken pieces heavily and visibly coated in black pepper - in a very watery almost clear sauce which again tasted only of pepper - there was not even a hint of curry flavour. The rice was extremely wet and soggy not fluffy at all making the dish soupy in consistency. I ate some but the pungent taste of pepper was overpowering! I quietly spoke with the waitress and explained that I believed I had received the wrong dish. Perhaps it was pepper chicken?? She spoke with the chef who said it was a very sweet mild curry! This was neither sweet or mild - it only tasted of strong black pepper. She said she tried it and could get a very slight taste of curry and that perhaps I was used to very spicy curries! My husbands pie was supposed to be peppered beef pie. It was a slice of steak pie covered in pepper sauce. He did eat most of it but declared it average at best. I was extremely disappointed with the meal and the explanation. We paid the bill and left - never to return.

Called into the Portside for a quick stop before catching ferry home on Friday night (9th oct), first impressions very busy for just the two young girls working but we couldn't have been served any quicker , very efficient never seen two girls working in such a competent way running back and forth from bar to floor and back again to make sure we were OK with everything and needed anything else. Will definitely be back on our next trip to Ireland 10/10

A little gem of a café for either coffee or a bite of lunch, avoiding the Stenaline prices on board the ferry.Rediscovered this café on a recent business trip to Northern Ireland where having overrun on my morning meetings, my last appointment was only too happy to accommodate and meet for a bite of lunch, before I boarded the ferry for home.Seated upon arrival despite being busy we were served quickly and the food was great. Definitely will be my port of call before sailing in future !

We arrived in Belfast at 7am and (as the Titanic Museum doesn't open until 9am) we decided to take the short walk to the Portside Inn from the Stena Line Terminal (Liverpool-Belfast). It opens at 8 so we had a short wait on the benches outside. Breakfast was lovely and very reasonable. There are menus on their website and you can book a table or your food in advance online too. We then took a taxi ride to the Titanic museum (about 5 mins). We enjoyed it so much that we returned for our evening meal before heading back to Stena Line for our return sailing.

Don't eat on the ferry!! Great food, brilliant service - very quick, very friendly. Excellent Guinness and a top rate fish and chips! Very accommodating of a demanding family group with two very aged grandparents.

needed food before ferry journey so found this place and wished we hadn't, awfull tasteless food , bar staff arguing the only place during a five day stop in Ireland that the food didn't come up to scratch , food finishes at 9 and a party that came in at 9.07 and were told kitchen closed had a lucky escape and am sorry to say one of the worst food stops I've had in years.

While waiting on the boat to Cairnryan, we decided to have something to eat. On the way into Belfast port, is the Portside. This is a popular place, with plenty of customers availing of the hospitality. We had good food at a reasonable price, with friendly waiting staff. As it was a beautiful evening, we ate outside. Food was not long coming, and most enjoyable. Definitely a place to stop off for a bite to eat, before you travel.

I was recently recommended by a friend to try the Portside inn. When i arrived i was greeted by a friendly member of staff who showed me, to the "comfy VIP seats". I had the chicken special and my partner had the Portside inn Burger was all lovely. She indulged in the cheesecake after wards. Would highly recommend as the food was very good and the staff were eager to please.

Called in on friday 19th june for a meal as i hadnt been in years and the last time i was there it was really busy, good atmosphere and the food was delicious, well not this time! Myself and my partner along with my 2 yr old daughter arrived in and wer promptly shown to our table by a young waitress who i must admit was welcoming and courteous, she took our drinks order and left us to look at the menu, the bar was empty, around 15 people at 5.30 on a friday evening and 8 of them were propping up the bar, a few years ago you couldnt get moving in here alarm bells were ringing but i thought id give it a chance, we ordered the combo starter for sharing £10 and got the wee one potatoes and sausage with beans £5.50 and they arrived with us 10 mins later, the prawns in batter were frazzled, so were the battered mushrooms, the chicken wings were fine and so too were the ribs and dips, for mains i ordered the prawn and salmon stir-fry sizzler and my partner had the peppered chicken and mushroom pie. When they came out the pie looked like it had been in the fridge for weeks and then microwaved, the chicken was brown and dry, the peppered sauce which engulfed the plate was congealed DISGUSTING, the garlic potatoes were overcooked, my stir-fry looked amazing on its way accross with the waitress but when it got to me the prawns looked yellow, i tasted the noodles but no flavour except oil, i tried the salmon and veg, no taste except oil, the skillet was at least a centimetre deep in cooking oil, there was zero seasoning and no stir-fry sauce whatsoever it was disgusting, when the waitress noticed i wasnt happy or eating she asked if i was ok and i explained the problems, she offered to get me a new one which i refused, i also informed her that i wouldnt be paying for any of the mains although i would pay for the rest which she agreed was acceptable, i settled up £16.60 and left. I will never EVER be back as long as that chef is employed there, such a shame. I challenge the manager to order what i had and make up his/her own mind, i dont doubt if they did then the chefs head would roll. JOKE! 0/10

4 meals ordered (2 Adult, 2 Kids) and all 4 were terrible. Somehow they managed to under cook some parts and burn other parts! To top it all off, the restaurant was freezing and they didn't light the gas stove! Won't be wasting our time or money again.

Called in here because my husband said kids eat free on sundays. Place was empty which wasnt a good start i suppose, the Waitress was friendly enough but the service and food were awful. Starters were bland with the worst yet to come for the main courses. I ordered salmon with a herb crust and hollandaise sauce only problem being that I didnt get what was on the menu, it was salmon with no herb crust and layers of grease and thick yellow gunk on the top of it. My husband had the beef which was awful with burnt yorkshire puds and overcooked veg. Really poor gordon ramsey would shut this place down! Well never be back

First trip to the Portside there was no vegetarian option at all. I ordered a starter of breaded mushrooms with a side.Second trip I was pleased to see a vegetarian option. Pasta pretty standard but at least I could eat a meal... When it came it had chicken and bacon throughout. I queried it with the server who went into the kitchen, came back and told me the melal was served at lunchtime with chicken and bacon in it! She apologised and said I'd have a replacement. I was worried about the reasoning she gave me however my meal was brought out and although it was fine the other members in my party had finished their meal so I sat eating alone rushing not to hold them up.Good stop off for a quick drink. Food is ok but the service and options are shocking. Won't be back.

I lobe this restaurant/bar. We have been as a couple but moire recently as a family with 2 kids ( 5 & 7). Staff were v friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It wasn't overly busy which was ideal for us. Other customers were in but it was not packed.

We called here last Sunday afternoon and the 'Wait to be seated' sign was a waste of time, as ourselves & another couple after us had to eventually seat ourselves. The soup was like water, the "sticky" chicken starter was burnt, the main course of turkey & ham was bland & its accompanying roast potatoes were cremated. The young girl serving us seemed to have quite an aggressive attitude and slammed down our drinks on the table, then when bringing next course , slammed the plates down also, she definitely didn't want to be there! We were going to take 3 course offer but didn't stay for dessert as you can imagine as we had had enough.

I have visited the Portside Inn, in the past and always found it acceptable. However today 8.9.2014 at Lunch time myself and a business colleague visited The Portside to grab a coffee and a Sandwich. We sat down and waited for 5 minutes to be served and looked around to see that it was around a quarter full. I eventually had to get the attention of the only waitress who was the only one serving. The waitress informed us in an abrupt manner that she was the only one on and would have to wait, which we dually did. She eventually came back and asked us what we wanted. My colleague asked for a Cheese and Ham Panini but could the cheese be Parmesan, the waitress would have to check to see if that could do this. A couple of minutes later we where abruptly informed that the kitchen did not have Parmesan Cheese, and did not offer any alternatives. We ordered 2 cups of coffee which were average. I then went up to pay for the coffees only to be informed by the same waitress that she had not time to take my money and would get someone else to sort me out. Eventually after standing another couple of minutes some did attend to me and I promptly paid for my average cup of coffee. I am disappointed to have received such poor service from this restaurant who seem to be totally disinterested in customer care and service.

Was heading to the Giants causeway from Dublin and stopped by the Portside Inn just off the M2 roundabout in Belfast. What a fanastic breakfast and at a great price. The breakfast choice was excellent and it was hard to choose as it all sounded really good. Decided on the full fry and kippers which did not disappoint. The full breakfast was a huge portion and exremely tasty and the kippers which I have not seen on a breakfast menu for ages were just delicious. Very friendly staff and very efficient service topped off a lovely visit to this delightful pub /restaurant. Will definitely be back.
