Porthcawl Tandoori in Bridgend

Ordered three meals from here and they were bloody lovely. Will definitely come back when we are back up in Porthcawl

Food is good. The captain pathila is really nice as well as the chicken korai. Their basic curry is not bad either. Only down side is ordering and delivery. Tried ordering online, when I arrived at the shop, they didn't get my order as the computer was turned off. Second is we ordered via phone for delivery. It took an hour. I thought it wasn't coming at all so I started cooking chips LOL. Food was piping hot though. So best way I think is order for collection. CASH ONLY is a disadvantage too. But the curry is good so I can overlook those things.

Food and delivery service(to the caravan park) were both excellent. The chicken vindaloo had a great kick to it and the chicken in both meals ordered was very tender. Really good value for money and would highly recommend.

Visiting trecco bay and wanted good Indian food and this placed delivered exactly what I needed. Excellent tasting indian style Lamb biryani. Great portion for the price. Would certainly get a takeaway again.

We’ve had one really good meal from here and one ok meal. So 5/3 stars average out as 4. First time, large portions, really tasty and great value. Second time the flavours were poor but still value and had actually too much meat (don’t think Iv ever said this before). I would go again.

What’s the best place in the UK for an Indian? This place was hands down the best Tandoori we’ve tried in South Wales. We’ll be back!

Took over an hour to arrive, when it did it was so unbelievably greasy! Chips had sweated in bag & had clearly be re -fried. Chicken dish was swimming in grease. Absolutely disgusting and waste of money. Would not recommend...

Stayed in trecco and wanted to try a different Indian and this didn't disappoint! We had the chicken biryani it was absolutely delicious, best Nan bread we've had in a while too and salad was fresh and tasty. Definitely coming back!

Absolutely awful. Emailed to accept order but 2 hours later would not answer phone and no order received. Ruined out last night of our holiday as we really wanted an Indian takeaway. Reviews seemed good but clearly can't be bothered to keep customers informed

Best chicken madras and garlic rice

Stopped in tonight to take away but in 2022 this place apparently only takes cash, for me this is really strange as contactless is readily available.

Sunday night and only taking cash in the store not card, something is wrong with that.

Chicken is really good and a lot of it. As for curry, terrible. It tastes like something out if a jar with added chicken. I would have sent it back if I wasn't so Hungary. Quick delivery. Rice isn't freshly cooked like most places here. Nan was chewy. Tried, Tested. Never again. 2 stars because the chicken was nice.

Ordered a takeaway from here while we were on holiday at trecco bay, it was the best chicken curry I've had in a long time, the chicken is proper meat not the processed chunks, the sauce was thick and rich and very tasty, it was also delivered straight to the caravan door, would recommend anybody visiting trecco bay to try this place for a takeaway, thanks for great service!

Avoid using their website. Was charged for an order I didn’t receive. The gentlemen who I spoke to said the card transaction would not be finalised and if it did he would refund me. They took payment the next day and I have not been refunded. Terrible service.

The best ever chicken Currys I have ever had just love there Madras proper quality pure chicken breast I travel from Pontypridd to buy 4 or 5 at a time to take home and freeze all the food here is delicious staff are very nice too this is a hidden treasure of Porthcawl....if visiting call in and try there delicious food ..

Ordered tonight to our caravan and it was the best Indian takeaway I have ever had. Wasn't expecting it to be better than the Indian takeaway at home but it was lovely. Curry was amazing and delivered quick. All in all absolutely brilliant! Will be ordering again next time we're here on holiday.

Ordered a curry from here delivered to our caravan on trecco bay i must say one of if not the best curry we have ever had proper chicken breast not chunks so tasty and plenty of it will definitely be using these again when here just beautiful

Had the Mowgli set meal for 2... it was enough for 4!! 2 starters 2 mains 2 pilau and a vegetable dish all were delicious

We have lived in Porthcawl for 2 years and have only just tried this Indian takeaway. Absolutely spot on, by far the best Indian takeaway we have had in a long time. The food wasn't greasy, full of flavour and piping hot. We will be definitely using again.

Come away on holiday and have a look for take aways after entertainment yet says closes at 12 but been raining since 11.15 and still no answer.

Satisfactory. No frills, no disappointment. If you want a curry in Porthcawl this does what it says on the tin, but nothing more.

We used these whilst staying in a caravan at Trecco Bay, we don’t normally expect too much when buying an Indian on holiday. Normally, when compared to home , they are average at best. But this was even better, one of the best we have had, and they delivered straight to our caravan as well. Many thanks!

Very enjoyable takeaway from here due to covid restrictions. Good food large portions very tasty. Liked it so much went back a second time. Lays back a little from the road, takes care to find, does not look much from the outside, but the food is very good.

The best value take-away in Wales! The food is always cooked fresh and hot and the portion sizes are very generous, unlike many other take-aways in the area. Competitive prices, very good portions and fresh food - what more can you ask for from a take-away. Only downside, it gets very busy on weekends and it's sometimes difficult to place your order as the phone is constantly taking orders and engaged so get your order in early!

On trecco bay, phoned for a ruby Murray, WOW better than the curry we have at home 5 🌟 would recommend to everyone amazing 👍

Dissapointing after reading all the good reveiws! First, the good: The staff are super friendly and helpful, and service was quick considering we walked in and ordered and then sat and waited for our food. The onion Bhaji, garlic naan and mint raita was excellent, unfortunately it wasnt the same for the rest of the food. The bad: The rice was dry and seemed either a bit stale or undercooked. The curried were watery, bland and had very little taste. First time we've ever had an Indian takeaway and thrown food away :( Really dissapointing meal. We wouldn't order from this place again.

It's OK, the curry was a little tasteless but plenty of chicken and plenty to go around. Price was a little higher than I would normally pay elsewhere. It wasnt bad, but wasn't amazing. Just needed more flavour.

Tried a meal while on holiday near here. I was not disappointed ! Lovely flavour, big chunks of tasty chicken and great value.

Ordered a chef special meal for one had a lamb Marsala the sauce was very tomatoey and the lamb was tough and chewy. Some of the pilau rice was in claggy inedible lumps got to say didn't eat much of it and the rest went in the recycling bin.

Staying at trecco bay caravan park again, and have previously used this tandoori, ordered again this evening and once again me and the wife could not fault our meals, great taste, service and they deliver to the caravan park :-) back again in February so am sure we will be sampling there delicacies once again

Fantastic take away in Portcawl, Chicken Vindaloo was fab, piping hot, with the ghee line around the edge mmmmmm. I don't understand some of the reviews on here as I eat Asian food every week and consider myself to be quite an expert. Get down there!!

Excellent service, am able to pick up my keema rice quickly even if they are very busy, they will put my order ahead if they can as usually I have just finished work and am tired and hungry. Owner and staff have been very good to me that way. Very good food.

Must of been an off day for the lads, if I'm honest. I read the reviews and after gathering the information, "pufcall dandry" took my telephone order. At this point you must be made aware, I originate from the darkest Rhondda. However, even the valley indian eateries have the facility to use a debit/credit to pay, "only cash or cheque son" can be used to form the contract here. I think any old moody piece of paper will do. They didn't mention this during the order. It also as an hygiene rating of 3 ???????? On entry to the building, I quickly established why !! To cut to the chase, if this is the best about, don't bother and make your own, my scoff wasn't all that good. Sorry Puffcall Dandry, you need to pull up your socks a bit.

My first ever Indian meal order was placed here over 22 years ago. I refuse to have Indian food from anywhere else. It is the tastiest most scrumtious food EVER x

If you order at the counter be prepared for a long wait. Food can be tasteless I’m sure they use different chefs as sometimes it can be very nice other times bland. And not very friendly staff.

Quite tasteless...guy behind counter has bad manners, took my children in as this is what they wanted,he point blank refused to do childrens size portions,mind you wouldnt have tasted any better!!

Was on holiday this week with my son found this gem probably the best Indian takeaway I've ever had and really cheap too! but loads of flavour and the keema nan bread and mint yoghurt was to die for thanks guy's :)

In my opinion the best Indian quisine around.

We were in Porthcawl for the weekend of May 11th - 14th & decided to get a takeaway From the Tandoori . It was delivered to our caravan within the hour and I can honestly say it's one of the best starter nd curries I've tasted. There was so much chicken it lasted me 3 servings .if you're in the area a takeaway is a must you really won't disappointed. 10/10 for taste , quality & portion :)

Possibly the best Indian takeaway in South Wales, food here is fantastic reasonable prices for top quality food. Very generous portions, never had a bad meal. Delivery is slow but demand is high.

we had a takeaway for our final night of our week's holiday in August. my wife found this place after we spent a day in Porthcawl. the Porthcawl Tandoori was very clean and the manager was very polite. whilst we were waiting for our takeaway, it was just customer after customer, phone call after phone call in the 10-15 minutes that we were waiting ( I reckon that the manager would have needed to soles applying to his footwear by the end of the night ). we got back to our caravan at Trecco Bay Holiday Park, and the quality of food was excellent. the value was also quite respectful. our party was for 4 of us and cost around £18 ( and there was still food left over ). if your on holiday in Porthcawl, be sure to give it a try...... you wont be disappointed.

The food is just awesome. No more to say about the food. They are popular so expect a wait on delivery. But worth It.
