Had few drinks in here in past before and after football staff are always friendly and polite never waiting to long for drink even when busy, we come to most tribute nights and they never fail! Always a good night, Morgan behind the bar is absolute fabulous, she’s always polite and helpful she is the reason we enjoyed the visit! Morgan you are the best & deserve a raise for sure

Lovely boozer! & Great pub grub! My personal favourite would have to be the hunters chicken melt, never a complaint when I eat here, they do free pool on a monday with a drink , great opportunity to relax and have some fun with your mates! Lovely lady Morgan behind the bar was absolutely fab, hard worker and full off lots of helpful information! Thankyou Morgan for making my visit just the even more special, you deserve a raise ;)

I came down south to visit a friend and decided to pop into the quaint pub next to the station. I enjoyed a refreshing pint of Cruzcampo and was served by friendly Molly, who kindly answered all my questions about both the drinks selection and the local area’s attractions. A great little pub!

Rich and flavorful, with tender pieces of steak and a perfectly seasoned gravy, it was wrapped in a golden, flaky pastry that practically melted in your mouth. Paired with a side of creamy mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables, it was a hearty and satisfying dish. Overall, the combination of excellent service and delicious food makes the Porter and Sorter Bar a standout. It's easy to see why it’s a popular choice, and Dominic’s service will certainly make us return.

I came in to the porter and sorter whilst visiting my family in London and I must say am impressed my server Georgia was amazing an informative as my son has several allergies which she ensured were accounted for. The pub it’s self is a lovely atmosphere to be in and the Mac and cheese was lovely which I appreciated the recommendation from georgia as i was pleasantly suprised

Visited to watch the live singer this weekend and it was fab! Always doing top entertainment here. Also the lovely lady behind the bar morgan was excellent throughout our entire visit! Extremely attentive, very polite and overall excellent. She made the visit 5 stars for us. Food was lovely especially the tuna melt and onion bhajis! Thankyou Morgan for such a warm welcome - you are a huge part of the reason we will be returning :)

I had a great experience at The Porter and Sorter! The pub has a welcoming atmosphere, a great selection of drinks, and tasty food that makes it a perfect spot for a casual night out. The service was outstanding, and I have to give a special mention to Georgia, who truly made our visit memorable. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. She recommended the Arietta Pinot Blush, which was absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with our meal. Her enthusiasm and great customer service really stood out, making us feel well taken care of throughout the evening.

Fantastic Bar Staff and Delicious Mac & Cheese! I had a great experience yesterday, and I can't recommend it enough! i was assisted by Dominic and Samuel, They were so helpful, attentive, and made sure we felt comfortable the entire time. Whether we had questions about the drinks menu or just needed a quick recommendation, they were quick to offer suggestions and always with a smile. Their friendly service truly elevated the whole experience. As for the food, the mac and cheese was a definite highlight. It was creamy, rich, and had just the right amount of cheesy goodness. The flavor was on point, and the portion size was perfect. It’s definitely one of those comfort foods you’ll crave again after trying it! All in all, the combination of fantastic service from the bar staff and the mouth-watering mac and cheese made for an unforgettable visit. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

I had a great time when I came in the other night, I had the chicken burger and chips, and a couple drinks. Service by Dominic was great. I would definitely come again and I will bring some friends. Again service was excellent. Would highly recommend this pub.

The Porter and Sorter Bar offers a cozy atmosphere with friendly service. The standout dish is the Hunter’s Chicken—juicy chicken smothered in smoky BBQ sauce, topped with melted cheese, and served with crispy fries. A must-try! Dom was especially nice and gave amazing service quickly

Dominic Sausages and mash because that was sick init but on a real come on that was so sick . The drinks were very very good and served very well and dom looked after his customers very well, I’ve never felt so safe in dons arms

Stopped off at this place after a fun evening out for a bite to eat and for a drink. Drinks and food (i had burger and chips) were banging and the vibe was so chilled but also very enjoyable. We had a good chat with one of the barmen Dominic who was super nice to talk to. This experience will definitely bring me to this pub again in the future!

The Porter and Sorter Bar provides a great dining experience with excellent service from Dominic. The Cowboy Burger is a highlight—juicy, packed with flavor, and topped with all the right fixings. A perfect meal in a cozy setting. Highly recommended!

I was served by Jaime. I had a bad week. But greeted by the warmest smile, only 1 person at the bar at that time. Jaime dealt with some roudy people and continued to serve, thankyou, and all staff were exemplary for the 5 hours here.

The food was awful. The mash tasted like instant. Chicken was burnt on the ends & rock hard. The fries were overcooked & hard. The roast was not nice, the veg was disgusting wasn’t even sure what it was supposed to be. Half the food was missing, not given what was on the menu. It came across like it had been microwaved. I thought this place had been revamped… very very disappointed. Myself & family will never recommend this place to anyone.

Lunch with the wife. Been in this pub a hundred times, had events here, birthdays and such, not recently though (thank god). Place has slipped, gone right downhill. Staff couldn't find the right food on the till, kitchen couldn't provide the right food first time. My wife did a fair and appropriate review, and the owner responded with a pack of lies! It's on here still, I'm sure spouting rubbish about the food and football. Not impressive, a simple apology might have been better, but no, just a spew of fakery. Shame, I liked this pub once, now they can flatten it with the rest of the development.

A great station pub for evening beers. Staff are great, and good service/beers. Far better than the average station boozer. Less good for food (6 of us attended for a work lunch, waited over an hour, food never came, pub issued a refund).

Great visit to the pub on my way home from work , a convenient location next to the station. A great selection of beers, notably Stonewall IPA and Pedigree ale. I visited on the karaoke night which was a laugh and was served by Molly who had a smile on her face and was very helpful.

Love it here! The food is always delicious & served quickly and the selection of drinks is amazing! We love all the events that the Porter put on and the staff are always amazing!

Porter and sorter pub in Croydon is a great venue for watch watching sports , loads of TV’s and lots of lively events such as 80’s nights and live singers. a great selection of delicious food and pool tables / duke box.

Great bar right by the station so nice to unwind after travelling. The staff are very good at what they do and have a high level of professionalism

I haven't been in this pub for quite a few years but was surprised how nice it was for a Saturday lunch with friends. The food was tasty, and there was a good selection of drinks. Such a great location, close to East Croydon Train Station.

First visit in awhile, very good pub.

I went here to watch a football game. This place has plenty of screens and a good selection of beers but not ciders unfortunately. The staff were good, didn't have to wait long to get service. The only issue I have is that the toilet looks like something from the 1980s , definitely needs some serious updating and cleaning. That aside it's a decent enough place to watch sports.

Good to location to pop in if stuck at East Croydon. Friendly staff and not bad price on drinks

This is my local! Been coming here for years and I couldnt fault it. Staff are brilliant but a special shout-out to Morgan, she's always so lovely and attentive towards every guest that comes in! One of the very best and she will go far - I can guarantee it!

As a whole this pub has a great on bar team. Sam is always on point and always cheering people up and creating an inviting and exclusive atmosphere which is something most pubs miss out on now. Followed by suzanna, morgan, sam, and many more who always have a smile andpositive vibess. It's always a good place to have a drink or even food, as well as always having events going on. From djs and discos to kids events and parties. I have never seen a pub like the porter and sorter!!

Enjoyed our work Christmas Dinner here. I come here quite regularly and although it was packed the staff (Samuel & Ryan) and the amazing bar staff helped us have an amazing evening. Lovely place and amazing staff.

I had visited the porter and sorter yesterday with a group of friends and the service was great there was a young lad who served us all he was very quick and addressed any of our issues. I had the bangers and mash which I can say were very delightful along with a sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was also delicious, props to the chef. Overall I would recommend you visit this pub at least once if you are ever in croydon. Although one minor fault was that the draft I had on tap tasted a little funny but the bartender did make another drink so I wont complain to much.

Had a great Christmas party at the P&S! Danielle was excellent at coordinating for us and Liam was a fab host on the night 🤗 Will definitely be going back

The food there is absolutely amazing, I recommend porter and sorter if you’re looking for a nice family style pub with good vibes and great energy. The staff are very helpful and friendly and don’t have a problem with sorting anything out for you. The mac and cheese aswell… absolutely outstanding!

Been many times, the last time I went I was due to meet a friend, I arrived first, despite being busy I was quickly served and the barman kindly offered a bowl of water for my doggie. Chatted outside to friendly drinkers until my friend arrived.

Brilliant Halloween night in Porter and Sorter, great atmosphere and lovely staff. Lots yummy options on the menu.. the big spicy burger was delicious. And it was Thursday Karaoke, was so much fun!

This was the second time we visited this pub. We spotted it from the platform in July. We were heading home to Uckfield after attending a concert in London and we had a long wait for our connecting train. The pub had a welcoming atmosphere, the staff were friendly, it certainly felt like it was a popular place. So again, last Monday (21st October)we found ourselves on the same platform , around lunchtime, our train had been delayed , No brainer!! We headed for Porter and Sorter. Again, it was welcoming , the staff were friendly and helpful .They had really gone to to town on the Halloween decorations, they were amazing ,and everywhere. We decided to miss the next train and get the later one. We had lunch. The steak was cooked to perfection, they had no problem swopping the peas for baked beans for my husband. We decided to have a dessert, the sundae was delicious. The draught beer was half price it was on a promotion . Altogether well worth a visit. Great pub, Great staff, Great food, Clean and Great decorations. All at a reasonable price. There is also a very nice outdoor seating area. Probably East Croydens Oasis .Highly recommended.

Service and atmosphere perfect. The food was also great, but unfortunately they didn't have a number of options.

I'm a frequent visitor over the past year to this pub as its local to home and work. The atmosphere is always good. I've never been disappointed. There's always music or an event going on. We visited for most the euro football matches with a great atmosphere, very lively but nice polite, fun people. They are always welcoming to my children even though there's never many kids in there. They have events for all the holidays and even have days just for the kids like Halloween. The staff are mostly lovely! There is a young guy with dreads who is always polite, happy, accommodating and nice to talk too. Another young lad who is always polite and most recently I met the Manager who was very nice. He was funny and even gave the kids a free game of pool and a discount. Ofcourse there's always one that spoils it for the bunch but in general, most are lovely. I've tried different dishes over the year and most are good pub food with the occasional bad dish. They have a small outdoor seating area which is nice during the summer as it gets lots of sun, and even a partially covered outdoor area for the colder months if you're a smoker like me! Overall this is a nice pub. I pop in occasionally after work with colleagues, which seems to be a trend as its right next to the train station and I am never disappointed. When I bring the kids, they always have nice food and enjoy themselves. I like the pub so much, I've even booked my work Christmas Do here in December for 30 of us. I walked passed the pub many times last year over christmas time and the atmosphere, music and events looked really good so decided to book it this year. Oh another thing, they always go all out with the holidays or events. They dress the whole pub up for Halloween, Christmas, football etc which I love! They make it really aesthetically pleasing and much more enjoyable. Honestly, I couldn't fault it!
