Porta Via in North Lanarkshire

Tonight was my first time visiting this Takeaway. Ordered a large (2) fish supper which was made to order. Was no trouble for the staff who were extremely helpful and pleasant. The fish was amongst the best I have had. Really well cooked with lots of meat on the fish and a tasty batter and chips. Will certainly go back there, and I would strongly recommend it to others. Well done to the ladies in the shop.

I can't speak for their delivery service as I've only ever had a takeaway, but can definitely say that their takeaway food is great. The staff in the chippie are always friendly and welcoming too.

Staff were so nice but I ordered a pepperoni pizza, it was impossible to eat, the cheese was coming off the pizza it was all so greasy in general I was basically eating dough with sauce 🤦🏻‍♀️ 3hrs later I’m here just sick (didn’t eat anything but the pizza today) so I don’t even know if it was fresh all I know is I’m still currently sick and my stomach feels a nightmare, first and last time eating there.

The food is fine. I ordered 2 buttered rolls and 2 sausages because that’s what the kids wanted, the delivery only had one buttered roll. I phoned the shop to let them know and got a very rude man on the other end, he said it could be an hour until I get it to you and I said it was no use as the kids sausages would be cold and he said “it’s only a roll no big deal” the ignorant sod was quick enough to charge me for the buttered roll. Most definitely would not use the chippy again simply because of this guy’s attitude

Fish n chip suppers delicious. Fish cooked fresh Would definitely go there again .

Pizzas constantly unavailable. Chips rock hard. Poor service.

Food wasn’t fresh and pizza was like a dogs dinner. Used this shop few times passing through home from work. The pizza I wish I had taken a pic of and was so bad even my dog turned its nose up to it. The owners manner and attitude towards his staff every time I have been in is appalling calling the girls workers there names leaving them with nothing to say in front of us as customers. Seem as if the girls in the shop are a little bullied of this coke head alky of a owner . I’ll never set foot in the shop again. Poor girls who work with him

Bought a single fish last night and batter was soggy with big black bits in it and the fish was so bad and smelly and tasted off, I will never use this chip shop again, totally disgusted.

One of the best fish and chip shops in Lanarkshire.

The smoked sausage I just had was ridiculous. Hardly any chips at all and a huge chunk of the top of the sausage. Looked further and most, of not all, of the chips were black. Suggesting they had been left for days drying out before being used when they should have been discarded. Disgraceful

Great Special Fish which I buy all the time

Just received my takeaway, so disgusting. Chips/sausage is inedible cold and looks like it’s been sitting since yesterday. Pizza cold soggy

gave benefit of the doubt...........new owners......new enthusiasm you would think...serve good food and get repeat business,sadly no........chips all greasy ..and fish.all greasy and soggy...................jeez..............never again....

chips so greasy..........even if freshly made........worse when theyr e reheats.......used to be good couple of yrs ago...............fish supper and black pudding supper to die for............not the case now.......need to change the cooking fat / oil..........and take a pride in your food............they will survive due to heavy smokers with no taste buds...and drunk people.....

Tonys shop is the best chippy in Lanarkshire. Friendly Staff, excellent food.

We don't do take always often or even weekly but we just love this chip shop so much . Fish n chips always fresh staff lovely . Prices very reasonable . Looking at someone else s review we must try the Angel fish to . Whenever we fancy fish supper porta via is the only chippy for us

Had a pizza from here and it wasn't very good at all .. Not a lot of toppings for the price you pay & literally no cheese . Chips could have been better also

ignored all comments..on feedback thing.....ordered special fish and large portion of chips as i was going on holiday in morning...try and save a bit of time !....however on arriving at chip shop..was asked the usual.....what are you having ?....I said I had phoned an order ....then someone started dressing the special fish and put it in the frier ..................so about another 10 mins passed .then I was given a special fish supper..........despite having specifically ordering a special fish and a LARGE portion of chips !!!.......ah despair......it s not rocket science .....just give us what we ask for .....on time

brilliant customer service, the staff and owner is very nice and treat you with respect, they are just lovely people. the food is bought fresh daily and they will do anything to reach your requirements. in a whole there food is mouthwatering and i would asvise everyone and anyone to try porta via as you will never find fish and chips, pizza etc more freshly made anywhere else, even though it takes a bit longer than the average chippy, the outcome is much more satisfying, the price is also very reasonable

The angel fish is worth driving 24 miles for and we regularly do. (There and back!) seriously one of the best fish suppers in west Central Scotland, very nice staff too.

This guy rolls his own dough and makes pizzas exactly as you want, the breaded fish was huge and the nicest I've eaten, I'm fussy with eating out, but this is without a doubt the best chip shop around!

Cheep not cheerful, no frills, but enjoyable. Worth a visit if you fancy a fish supper. In a very central location.

Lovely fresh food, sometimes have to wait, which is best as you know it is just being cooked. Special fish is amazing. Maybe just a bit on the expensive side, but what price quality?

Staff excellent, good prices, best rolled fresh pizza you will get from a chip chop,lover there sausage and smoked sausage in bread crumbs,eat from here usually 2 or 3 times a week for quickness after work,deffo the best chippy in the brig.
