Poptata in Wandsworth

12:00 lunch on Sunday 26 Nov. 2 adults 2 kids (4 & 6). We were the first order at opening. We went for the 20 pieces southern fried chicken with fries bundle. Staff member was very friendly and helpful. Portion was huge! Excellent succulent chicken breast dippers of generous size. A large box of tasty skin on chip/fries with rosemary salt. Chicken and the chips were extremely good and excellent value. Not too spicy for our young children who hoovered up the chicken and the chips. Lots of dips including pink garlic mayo, bbq, spicy mayo, sweet chilli plus standard ketchup and mayo. We really enjoyed it and there was some left to bring home. They don’t do pints but we bought some take outs from the Mauritian restaurant which has an outside tap, only £4 per pint and also super friendly. We sat at the main tables in the middle of the market. Would definitely recommend and will be back for great value family chicken and chips.

Gané una comida de Poptata del Boletín local de Tooting y recogí mi premio. Estaba encantado y tenía un plato muy bueno de papas fritas con queso que era lo suficientemente grande como para llevar a casa y compartir con un amigo. Agregamos una ensalada y disfrutamos de nuestra comida. Muchas gracias por una comida muy sabrosa. Había un número bastante grande de varias adiciones a las fichas en el menú. Otro gran lugar en el muy popular mercado de Tooting.

Poptata just sell chips and so are ideal for a quick lunch. They have a good range of toppings both light and filling. They share some seating with other market stalls and Tooting Market is a great place to sit, eat and watch the world go by. They even did a very decent glass of red wine. The woman who served us was very friendly and helpful.
