First visit today and definitely won't be my last. A really nice place- only had a bacon roll but it was very nice. Coffee was great too. My grandaughter declared her chocolate milkshake 'the best!' ever!! Really good value and the lady inside was just lovely!!

In the restaurant it's just too cold. As for leaving their dog out in the disgusting filthy yard in freezing conditions, absolutely disgraceful !!

A spur of the moment visit for breakfast. Both myself and my partner were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the restaurant was. The food was delightful and the staff extremely friendly. Eggs were cooked properly and were runny.Coffee was freshly ground and the only that stopped this being 5* was the coffee grounds that were not filtered properly. However the coffee was very nice.Thank you.

Visited for Brekky. Lovely and clean, very pleasant staff. Opted for Breakfast brunch and toast. Breakfast came with 2 of everything including 2 small mushrooms!!! Toast came and was already buttered! Breakfast food cooked lovely and tea was just right. They should give the butter with the toast and let the customer do his own. Little more than the 2 mushrooms and it would turn it from very good to excellent!

Had breakfast here Met with a friendly welcome and smiles, from the girls....very polite, more that the miserable faces across the road in Eden!!e, every person who came in was greeted with a smile. My breakfast consisted of Bacon, sausage, eggs, mushrooms, hash browns, tomato, beans and toast All freshly cooked and none greasy The food was tasty but I would have loved a few more mushrooms Will definitely come again.

Go for the pancakes. In my continuing quest to find the best places in town for breakfast I arrived at Poppies. friendly cheerful staff are always a good sign so is a clean a fresh seating area. I opted for the pancakes or 'American breakfast' and wasn't disappointed. They had a light creamy texture that complimented the grilled bacon perfectly, my eggs were a little over easy - like 'em runny personally - and my coffee was fresh, hot and full of flavour. couldn't ask for more. have since tried the normal breakfast and was left feeling a little disappointed. The sausages just weren't up to much and the fried eggs were just too hard. i'll be back for pancakes and the coffee.

Popped into Poppies for lunch before shopping in the garden centre, lunch was lovely and just enough definitely go again

The food here is ok, but there's nothing here that I've had that i couldnt make better myself or go somewhere else and have better. Its average food, but its ok if you're on a budget. The toilets here on all 4 occasions that I've been here haven't been cleaned well either. I wont bother returning unless the menu/chef changes.

Lovely breakfast. No stodgy, greasy fried plate fillers here, just a well prepared wholesome breakfast, served by friendly staff in a clean and welcoming environment. Having walked by here the day before, I noticed how busy it was! I took 3 of my grandchildren out and decided to give it a visit. Lovely and clean and friendly staff. They all had a cooked breakfast, which was cooked lovely. Great value and they all enjoyed it. Recommended!

Four of us dropped in for mid-morning full-English. Very good service, we were quickly seated and shown menus. Orders arrived promptly; I opted for the Chef's Special breakfast - it was well cooked including two eggs, two sausages, black pudding, hash brown, bacon, beans and toast. Prices are reasonable, the place is clean and well maintained, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommended.

This place always looks immaculate so I'd promised myself that next time I had some time to spare on the weekly shopping trip to Kettering, I'd pop in to this clean and friendly establishment. The menu is extensive and I opted for the liver from their homecooked selection. The portion was enormous so I had to take some home for supper! The liver was tasty, the chips very good 7/10 and the coffee excellent. No need to eat, they're happy to just serve you a coffee. Very friendly staff. Worth a trip.

I LOVE this place. The menu is comprehensive and cheap and service is quick and efficient. You also get very generous helpings. Also it is cooked behind the counter where you can see what is being used and what is going into it. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Only slight negative is the location. There are very few parking spaces on the busy street outside, though there is a car park round the back where you can access the cafe by an alley. Only trouble is its at the back of the one way system and pay and display. We're this located in the town centre it would make an absolute killing. Luckily for me and my family it's within walking distance of home. I love this place and would recommend it highly to anyone passing by who fancies a cuppa and a bite. You won't be disappointed.

I have eaten in Poppies on a number of occasions now and it has yet to disappoint in any way. It is just out of the town centre meaning it's a little quitter than those in the centre, which I prefer. It is a very much 'no frills café' but it is always very clean and tidy. Food is always lovey and fresh, I normally go for what I think is called Chicken delight(?) which is great and great value like everything on the menu! Staff are very friendly and service is quick. Always a must go for breakfast/lunch in Kettering.
