Nando's in Kettering

Great food and service, but it was very busy and we had to sit in the middle of the restaurant kind of in the way of everyone... and way too close to the people next to us.

We don’t live locally so this was our first visit here. But we would definitely come again. Excellent friendly staff, best cooked chicken of any Nando’s we’ve been to. Staff work, hard to keep it super clean, including the bathrooms. Thumbs up from us!

Made us wait outside in the rain, at the time we were the only group waiting for a table and plenty of room in the restaurant where we should have been able to wait. We had to wait for about 20 minutes despite their clearly being tables available. Once we got in and ordered, food took a long time (for nandos). I really like nandos but would not recommend this one.

Discrimination and it’s all about who you know to get a table. Told can’t wait, must stand outside in the cold - arthritis stuffer, cold the worst thing. Then table for 3 walk in, hug a work, she clears a table for them.

Food was lovely, ordered on the app and waited ages for a glass so had to get it myself, loads of staff and wasn't that busy. Food was excellent though so will definitely visit again

Now I'm not a huge fan of Nandos as it's just predominantly chicken on the menu, but I was outnumbered when our group decided on where to eat. What I can say about this particular restaurant was the friendly, warm welcome from the staff and the really helpful assistance from the manager when we required a bigger table than the one we was originally designated. Although the price of our meal was pricey it was well presented and cooked perfectly. All in all our group had a very enjoyable evening thanks to the wonderful staff at this branch.

Came for a date with my partner, which doesn't happen often due to the tax hike on living. First time ever trying nandos and I was thoroughly disappointed. I am quite a picky chick when it comes to eating bird, but tonight I was served a completely raw sunset burger. I mean the spices were lightly toasted onto the chicken, but the chicken it's self was pure white on the outside, not at all browned from cooking. While the inside of my burger was entirely vibrant pink and very slimy. Far too moist for my taste. We pulled a surver aside and politely raised my complaint after only 2 bites into my burger, explained my chicken was entirely raw, to which he said chicken there is usually pink(gross. When I said I can't eat it like that (raw) he just shrugged and walked away, no offer of a solution :) Now feeling defeated my partner and I just left our 2 unfinished meals (which we DID pay for) and have now come home to feed ourself some COOKED food. Thankyou for taking our money and barely providing the minimum standard of food and service. Atleast we were greeted at the door, and the chips were cooked! 🫠

The worst Nando’s I’ve been too. Visit 1: 45 minute wait, ok fair enough, service was poor though. Visit 2: ordered food to collect at a time only to have to wait another 20mins Visit 3: 35 minutes wait but “new policy” we have to go and come back later. No thanks, hard pass on this branch.

This used to be a nice place. I think we chose the very busy day to visit. Yes, it was new year day and we went here for dinner. Food was served very late , they took around 40 mins to prepare and serve. Food quality and taste was very low. From this experience I can say that they were running out of resources, the actual resources who make food here. So, from now on we don’t hit these places on special days.

Its not a bad place my only real issue is cutlery not being put out and having to ask a member of staff to put out some. The bathrooms are nice and clean but REALLY cold. The staff are nice but the atmosphere is awful. If you're craving some nandos I would recommend this place.

The worst nandos ive ever been in and wont be returning,when the staff think its ok to exspose their bum to you the whole time we were there,not acceptable

Food was good. Young adults were allowed to fiddle with the Nandos sauce condiments. Opening them after they had eaten and there table cleared. Only they will know whether they contaminated the contents. Other patrons would use the condiments as they are kept in an area where you help yourself. I would be dubious to use these condiments again if staff (knowingly knew this was going on because I complained and was told " oh we wipe them down") In a climate we've just and still battling through is not acceptable.

The food was good, but on my way out I ask someone to think about cleaning the front door because it's very dirty, and I think that if the front door is inviting, people will think the rest of the restaurant will be aswell, the reason for 4 * rating is because the front door was very dirty ....

No heating. Cold Food was average. Corn was burnt on one side

Food was great, delicious. We had a family meal & the environment was very welcoming. The music, as usual, was lovely. Just all round, a lovely time was had by about 12 of us....

Loved the young pretty girl who served us 😊, she really made sure we had everything we needed. She is the reason l gave 5*.

Only go here because grandson loves it. Table mucky. The mushroom wrap was tasteless, mushrooms too big, chips average, food sat in the counter 5 minutes before anyone brought it over. Despite staff walking past about three times. Over priced too.

I picked up a takeaway for the 1st time since the restaurant had been renovated. Very clean, tidy, well-lit. The food was great, cooked perfectly and hot. Service was un questionable. Would defo return.

My friends and I visit kettering nandos regularly and always have a good experience. Dylan was very attentive and friendly and couldn’t do enough for us during our visit

We had a terrible experience, please don't go there. Dirty tables, poor service, we waited for almost 2 hours for food and when it arrived it was nothing special. No apologies from staff or complaints team after emailing them . It appeared they were more interested in the take away orders and customers in the restaurant where just left waiting. ☹️

Came in just before closing, and I know that's like a cardinal sin for fast food places but the staff was still kind. They cooked our food, which was delicious, and I'm very glad I got the chance to try Nandos the night before I left England as the sandwich and fries were phenomenal! Would love to go again.

New refurbishment, new bottomless peach ice tea and better service than it used to be

Normally love coming here but tonight was awful. We waited over an hour for our food, the waitress that bought our food over, didn’t even mention, or apologise for the wait and some of the food was cold. Manager didn’t apologise for said wait. Would like to mention that the waitress called Daisy was an absolute star. She kept checking on how long the food was going to take an apologising repeatedly throughout our wait. Felt very sorry for her as it was apparent that management was doing nothing to minimise this wait or talk to customers, so sadly she got the brunt of it.

this was the worst experience i have ever had at a nandos we waited 30 mins and still wasn’t given any cups we then had to ask to be given cups another 30mins passed and our food began to arrive however this was only half the food more time passed and another meal came out still missing one meal and two sides i complained asking for the manager the manager came over 15 mins later only to give us the rest of our food. He seemed to find this completely acceptable and showed no care of our mistreatment and poor hospitality from the staff. Considering we spent over £120 i think it was completely unacceptable how we were treated. This isn’t the first bad experience i have had here but this time i’ve felt need to share. if you want nandos don’t come here.

Was disappointed with the service ordered on phone app waited over 45 minutes for food people who came in after us was recieving food before us.Went up and told the lady who was delegating the food and she just said that she was just putting the sides on the plate not even a sorry that we had been waiting that long.Some of the cutlery was dirty.The young man that was serving our table was polite and said sorry for the food being delayed sorry I didn't get his name

Ace Nando's experience great for kids, good value meal, grandson completely satisfied...

Was really looking forward to taking my family - especially my son who has never been before - Sadly not the greatest experience - the food took quite some time we could see it sitting under the hot lamp waiting to be brought to our table - the chicken was incredibly dry the fries were not hot the broccoli was Luke warm - at times there was no staff to be seen - the drinks machine broke into his glass - for £80 it was disappointing and that was with an NHS discount- I did tell the two young ladies that we did not get £80 worth of decent food -

Food took ages. Wrong food, twice. No apology, more like it was my fault. Strange experience, never been like this before.

Went for a late lunch at 3.30pm on Sunday afternoon, there was only 2 of us and our order took 55 minutes to come out. Food was nice when it arrived but definitely wasn't worth the hour wait!

Kettering has reopened after refurb. Was disappointing, our first attempt to eat here on the Monday didn't happen as the list of things they didn't have was huge. So we tried again on Tue. Shouldn't have bothered, service was bad. For some reason couldn't pay online for my order so had to go to till, was ignored by staff for ages, walked away and then someone came to till. My food was scant, not many chips & the bun and chicken thighs were small, also there is no frozen yogurt for the foreseeable as they can't get a new machine. I used to love Nandos, but not so much now.

No mayo for food. They obky had Fanta and sprite available no coke zero or diet.

We were served by Joel, and have to say he really stood out for us as he was so patient and kind and really went the extra mile to ensure our experience was good. I made a mistake with my ordering and he was so kind to fix it for me. Hopefully there is a means of acknowledging when there is a good employee. Thanks Joel.

Visiting a friend in the area and went to Nando's Kettering for dinner. Firstly had to be paged for a table as we were told there was a 35 minute wait, which wasn't an issue as its Friday night and places get busy. Returned 35 mimutes later and was seated. My friend went up and ordered the full sharing platter with bottoless drinks. We were told there was no glasses as they were in the the dishwasher. 20 minutes later i had to approach the counter as we still hadn't received our glasses, for the staff member behind the counter to walk away from me without acknowledgement. I had to grab staff's attention to get the glasses we were waiting for. I sat at our table observing what was happening as we hadn't received our order, with dirty tables around us that hadn't been cleared since we arrived 30 minutes hence. Now you could forgive this if the place was short-staffed but actually there appeared to be an abundance of staff, they just appeared to not have a clue what they were doing and lacked organisation or effective management. Overall, service was horrendous, food was left under the food lamp for 20 minutes (staff just stood there looking at orders), when it came food lacked appeal due to looking dried out and also having witness staff cooking wiping their brows and under their nose with back of their arm and hand made me question the restaurant choice. Staff standing around aimlessly without paying attention to their customers. I wouldn't be surprised to hear Nando' s Kettering closing down within 6-12 months if this is the service then plan on continuing to provide.

was excited to visit the Kettering Nandos after knowing it was shut for refurbishment. When arriving, we couldn’t really tell what they actually did for the month it was shut. We were welcomed by staff telling us that half the menu was out of stock. Ordered halloumi sticks for starters and they were cold / rubber! Mentioned it to staff and was given fresh halloumi that wasn’t any better. Our waiter then come over to inform us that our mains would take 15 mins to cook so did we want to change our order!!! Selected butterfly chicken and that was sooo dry!! I can honestly say I won’t be going back anytime soon!

No cutlery offered or available to collect from station. Had to remind waitress for glasses for drinks rwice

Only my second time in a Nandos but this time was brilliant on receiving advice on what to get staff absolutely brilliant

No internal waiting area for those waiting for a table which can be difficult when there is inclement weather. Had to explain this to Holly who served me today as my Mum was feeling cold to wait outside.

This place is always excellent and we love the food. Excellent value for money. This place is always on the list when we go out.

Just a really grubby and dirty restaurant. The whole place needs a good deep clean! A shame really as the service was great. Just a shame about the dirty walls, tables, chairs, floor and peeling paint.

It's nando's, it's what you expect, chicken! Service is usually very quick. Staff very helpful. Is quite small amd tables close together but a good nandos.

On 15/3/2023 there was awful service, the food arrived stone cold and no one cared!!! They seemed to blame us for making them stay late even though we arrived at 9pm and thought we’d get our food served to us by 10pm when it closed. When it arrived at 10:15 without even an apology it made our blood boil.We then later find out due to the awful service we got a parking ticket for over staying. So much for ‘Fast Food’ wouldn’t go near it with a ten foot pole.

Certainly packed, they do a roaring trade, I'd say. Food is yummy, served to us very fast, and they appear to have a lot of staff, so the service is spot on. Will definitely be back for sure.

Not sure what happened today but really brought down my trip to NANDOS. Waited half an hour the. Went to get my own glass. Then waited another half hour and still no food. In the end I had to have it to take away to get back to work. Most of it I left as went cold as I had to attend to calls and meetings. No one seemed to care about slow service with some meals dying in the window. The staff looked deflated and it impacted the experience.

I'm in no way an experienced Nandoist but I choose the spicy rice, the chips and a butter flied chicken with the hottest sauce on the menu.... Which the friendly waitress warned me was extremely hot..... I managed with a bit of a sweat. The food was fairly nice, served fairly quickly and had a refillable drink too. The portion was a little on the small side but what was received was quite nice...... My only slight niggle was the state of the place..... More the customer really, one table was left in a disgusting state. Staff very nice and I would return. My dish was £13.95. Visited 23rd February 2023 R.i.p suzi x

Awful, picked 6.40pm pick up, was told it would be 10 minutes on arrival, waited another 20! Customer service rubbish, no apology at all, worse nandos ever, go to McDonalds round the corner!!!!

Went out for lunch yesterday with my friend and our experience was great! The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff were very helpful, the service was very good and the food was excellent! I am really looking forward to coming back there again! Thank you very much!

Meal for 3, ordered using the website, so not much experience of the wait staff, however they were friendly and efficient. The food was delivered quickly and well prepared and presented and tasty. Just wat you need from a #CheekyNandos

Value for money is rubbish, I ordered a burger that cost £12 and it was tiny, a child on a table across from us had a KIDS burger AND IT WAS THE SAME SIZE!!! Just a different type of bun, the piri piri chips were really nice though 👍

Ordered on the app, arrived when the app stated it was ready to collect, I gave my name, and it obviously wasn't ready! It wasn't even busy! They put my order on the grill after I arrived to collect it. It was on for a couple of minutes and then boxed up, needles to say, it had no flavour and looked anaemic! No one explained anything, no apology!

A bad night for Nandos meant a bad night for us. Nandos suffered an oven breakdown, so our food was delayed. Sadly, we also had an appointment to keep so the stressful anticipation dominated the social side of the occasion. I suppose they did their best buy boxing the meal so we could take it away, but it wasn't good. Sorry Nandos.

When you have have to wait for cutlery longer than food

Portion sizes have got lots smaller but the price has stayed the same. I was shocked at only getting only 4 fork fulls of spicy rice and the butterfly breast was tiny, I love nandos but will no longer be spending my money there, it’s not value for money any more.

Order was incorrect. When speaking to the restaurant manager we were told that new staff had started and made a mistake (for the second time running). Manager was then rude, unhelpful and hung up when confronted.

Waited about an hour for our order. One drink arrived, we had to remind the waiter there was another. Incredibly annoying man seemed to be employed to walk around asking everyone if "everything's good" repeatedly - erm, no mate, we're starving and thirsty. Wouldn't recommend.

Went to get a table, there were at least 6 tables empty. But we we’re told there was at least a 40 minute wait. Pretty poor way to run a business.

Beautiful food and excellent customer service.

I'm writing this review sitting 45 minutes into waiting for food. Priority is given to phone or uber orders. Staff are standing around in restaurant as not busy yet chefs are run ragged. When I approached a non busy waitress she told me they were waiting for my sides 😵‍💫 Clearly something fundamentally wrong with the whole set up in this place. Avoid if you're hungry !!!

Overall experience was ok, however they came out with all the food we ordered through the app, starters, mains and dessert so by the time we finished starters our mains were cold, should have at least warned us or asked us because I cant see how anyone would want a 3 course meal all at once

Service was just shambles, appears to be a lot of new people working here since last visit. Which may explain today's experience. Is a shame because this place was still great only three-four months back

We was on a tight schedule so asked how long was told 20 minutes but too 45 minutes. Miles was superb and offered us free dessert to compensate

Went with a friend and his little boy, staff were very warm and friendly and were very helpful, providing a high chair for his son, it was clean and the food was great, overall a very nice experience

This place is very bad. I have been a few times now and EVERY single time I have had to wait at least 30 mins for a table. Not only this but when we eventually get a table, the food takes another 30 mins to arrive, which is quite ridiculous. Maybe they need more people in the kitchen or something as it seems to me, that if they delivered their food faster then maybe people wouldn’t have to wait so long for a table.

Sorry but the place has gone down hill... The food was ok but sitting in was not a pleasure! Help yourself to cutlery, well I would if there was some! Asked and some was fetched from the dishwasher 3 minutes after we had our food. The table was sticky and the one we had was behind the frozen yogurt machine, The machine has a large fan on the back that cycles in and out every few minutes. Annoying! Will just take out next time or go to KFC if I just want to take it home and not pay the premium price tag.
