The restaurant looks lovely on arrival but that’s as far as it goes as the food is well below average Over cooked eggs, stale bread and a tasteless meat pie The chips were overcooked too We were so hungry that we ate some of it but on the bright side it was a nice sunny day and the Coke was fizzy We did feed our disappointment back but got a lack lust reply of “I will feed this back” Shame we won’t be going back the place was totally empty apart from us for the whole visit on a Saturday dinner time which is a shame is it has great potential and was recommended but recommendation is sadly subjective but overcooked food is not

Well worth the visit the food was excellent and you get loads of it will go again when we go back to the area. Great service excellent staff and value you for money. And the mixed grill is worth all the money.

We go to.polar farm a lot for drinks it's a lovely the setting is nice so we decided to go for tea I had chicken fajitas which were nice the veg was burnt but ok my partner had steak pie it was very bland the gravey was like water will go for a drink but not food sorry 😀

Visited 17/08 for dinner. Have been before for a drink and was impressed by the friendly service and lovely atmosphere so decided to give the food a go . Did not disappoint! Great value for money and a good choice . Very friendly and attentive team and nothing was too much trouble. Will be back for sure !

We have used this restaurant a few times, the food is amazing,good value for money, The Sunday lunch is absolutely brilliant. Had main menu, Sunday lunch ,and 2for £12 Staff are friendly, helpful,polite, Meals cooked fresh! And good portion Please support this restaurant, it's out of way a little, but once you find it, I promise you'll be back!!! Dogs also made welcome, if you've any books too swop they have a small library ( free) We travel from Derbyshire, as the food is always excellent!

First time for dinner. Location amazing even in the cold, I'm guessing in sunshine spectacular. Food, for every palate, loved it all. Need a bigger glass for my red, which is not a criticism, ambience very good, service very friendly, will be back next Thursday, thank you 💯☀️

A beautifully decorated restaurant, very cozy. My husband and I visited today and ordered from the 2x £12.00 deal, very tasty indeed We have also been on a Sunday for a roast, which we thoroughly enjoyed too. We found it a great experience and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. We will continue to support the new owners throughout the season We highly recommend a visit.

Not Great Partner ill after trying the chicken wings soon as he got back home . So first rushed service they want to get food ready so ready when your ready to order ,ye work that one out probably going to warm it up so we ordered even though we like to have a drink first chat relax but not there not happening even though we said we will order in a few moments came back wanting to know what we going to order so chef can get it ready for when we want it ..... Food not great at all Chicken wings not pleasent could not eat them all black inside and when mentioned to owner no apologies just told its on bone so meant to be like that ,rude blunt response No chicken is white not black spoiled and dark Sweet and sour dish my daughter had was too spicy Will not be returning and wasting money on poor quality food and rude blunt excuses No apologies at all from this place

Visited for lunch this afternoon, this place has just reopened by all accounts under new ownership (?). The place is done out very nicely and the food was excellent. Freshly prepared, hot and tasty . We will be coming back to try on a night time very soon.

We first visited in 2016 when it was a new venture for a family running it with their in laws. We had a good time and said we'd be back. Stayed 4 nights this time on a fully serviced pitch. There's about 40 pitches all fully serviced and around 10 tent pitches, all pretty immaculately turned out. There were quite a lot of unoccupied with seasonal pitches complimented by a block of 'wet rooms'. These were quite new in appearance and very well maintained. The rooms had a push button type shower with toilet and wash hand basin. The rooms were heated which is a welcome feature on chilly mornings. One slightly unfortunate experience totally orchestrated by us was the need for some jump leads and a start. I'd been confirming a blown taillight on the van while my wife was booking in and as she returned I'd basically forgot to turn off the vehicle lights. Consequently following our setting up session the car wouldn't start. We rang the office to enquire if they may be able to help us and a teenage member of staff arranged leads and a vehicle to jump start car. The car was another young chap's own motor and had been volunteered by his colleague to help us. This was over and above what they are supposed to do and we set to work with good humour and a polite conscientious attitude from the 2 lads (we donated our booking deposit to them to say thanks) The site was quiet and drama free, the guys earlier told us about the Golf Club and the dog walk. If you turn right out of the site walk up the road approx 20 metres and cross the road there is a metal gate with pedestrian access. There is a path over to the Golf Club's Clubhouse whose bar is open to the public. We took the dog every day and the bar meals were ok too. Only one thing slightly clouded the break and that was that the restaurant and bar on the site was not a going concern any more. Back on our first visit it was open, very convenient with a cosy bar and good pub grub. The site information on line indicated that it was shut Mon & Tues but we could live with that. The site appears to be ran by Coastfields Leisure Ltd which also runs the Golf and Country Club. We asked the staff as to when it may open again, they are advertising for someone to take it on. It looks really good I suspect someone, maybe staff, are living in it. We would recommend the site, good staff and facilities and 10 mins drive to beach.

. Been on the site for 4years in a prime spot. Change of ownership end of 2022. Not even seeing this season out, I'm off. Not for me!!!

Meticulously maintained, managed and manicured site by Doe and Steve who have taken help and support beyond expectations and to Olympic levels. An absolute credit to Poplar Farm. What a fantastic team. Peter and Jenny.

We had chosen this restaurant for Sunday lunch especially since their website menu promised a good option for vegetarians - only to find that the website had not been updated since new management took over, and all sophistication had been left behind. There was no welcome, no menu, no choice of starter or dessert, and the vegetarian of our group settled for a Sunday Roast without the roast. The food, when it came, would have been mediocre even as a canteen offering, with tired vegetables and meat slices, drowned in gravy. A special mention must go to the "roast" potatoes who had long lost any ambition to crunch - luckily only two halves per serving. The waiter, perhaps wisely, did not come back to the table to check how we had liked the food and whether we might want any more drinks. On the plus side, they allowed us to bring the dog in.

Four of us went for Sunday Lunch today, all food was hot well cooked, excellent value for money. A lovely restaurant, friendly staff, looking forward to going for an evening meal. Highly recommended.

Visited tonight with my friend. Been coming to my caravan site for 57 years and this is the first time I’ve visited Poplar Farm . Wasn’t disappointed, will definitely come again . One of the best meals had in the area . Only problem, the portions were rather large!! ( not really a problem!!)

Me and my husband visited after a review I had seen on fb msg them through fb to reserve a table very prompt reply and we went Wednesday evening. All covid measures in place and even though there was plenty of tables I wanted to sit near the patio doors were there had been other customers that had vacated the table this was not an issue and everything was sanitised very well.now for the best bit THE FOOD! Everything is cooked fresh my husband had the Stilton stuffed mushrooms and I had the king prawns with sweet chilli dip beautifully presented and was amazing then for mains I had a fillet steak and my husband had 16 oz rump both came with field mushrooms and roasted vine tomatoes and thick home cooked chips and a side of homemade pepper corn sauce! Top quality steaks locally sourced very flavoured we both mentioned to our server apologies didn’t get his name that we’ve eaten at a lot of steak houses around the country and payed over the odds for quality steaks and been disappointed you definitely will not be disappointed here the food is AMAZING! This place is under new management not that we tried this place before but you can tell they have spent a lot of time and money on the restaurant it’s very clean and tastefully decorated and there still offering 10% off the bill on Wednesday and Thursday. So if you want freshly cooked top quality food please give this place ago you definitely will not be disappointed we will definitely be returning😊

I have been looking for a good steak local to where I live for a very long time. The meal was perfection. Steak cooked just how I asked and was complimented with the perfect sides. I would and have highly recommended this place to friends & family. All covid restrictions adhered to. Polite & friendly staff. Will definitely be returning.

Found this place after scouring internet for somewhere to eat - we were not disappointed. The restaurant is small and cosy and the food was superb. The only down side was that we waited almost an hour for our meals which was not great as we had 2 children with us. However it was a eat out to help out night and they were busy so I would not let this put me off returning. The place is spotless and well worth a visit.

My wife wanted an afternoon tea for her 40th birthday. After having all our travel plans ruined by the Coronovirus we ended up in Skegness at my Uncles caravan. I googled local places for an afternoon tea and came across Poplar Farm. I telephoned to book only a few days before. The staff were amazing and couldn't have been any more accommodating. Everything was tailored to how we wanted it and the food was lovely. Poplar Farm saved the day for us. We would highly recommend and will be back in the future. Thank you

What an absolute hidden gem this restaurant is. Amazing food, huge portions, all locally sourced produce, great atmosphere, amazing service, amazing value and extremely clean and well kept. Honesty cannot rate this place high enough. We cannot wait to return soon. Dan and the team are amazing and can’t do enough for you. I highly recommend the ribs and Sunday lunch but whatever food you have you will not be disappointed. A great hidden gem in the middle of the countryside.

Had afternoon tea with prosecco. Excellent food and service staff couldn't do enough for you. Lovely peaceful country location yet only two miles from Ingoldmells. Restaurant is immaculately clean and so is the camp site. Felt safe and able to relax in countryside setting. Highly recommend and will be back.

Attended an outside social distancing gathering here at the weekend and also went inside and had a meal -my sea bass was perfect🐟the venue offered a very warm welcome and given this was my first pub visit since lockdown I really appreciated the cleanliness and great organisation for a safe experience. Highly recommend 👌

We were looking for somewhere different for sunday lunch in the area.... on the strength of TA we opted for the Poplar Farm... what a good choice. This is now our restaurant of choice for Sunday roast when next in the area.Kevin and debbie (apologies if wrong names) are a very friendly and welcoming couple.There is a good choice of starters... we opted to go straight for the main... roasts are a choice of beef, pork or lamb .... other options as well. I had the beef and can honestly say it is the best beef i have tasted in a long time... 3 veg served separately as is the mash and roast pots... lovely fluffy homemade yorkshire pudding. I had room for the homemade rhubarb crumble.... wow that was a real dishful. You can then either have tea or coffee which is included in the price. Which we thought was excellent value for the quality served... 2 courses around £12 and 3 courses £16.Very pleasant surroundings in the bar area where we decided to relax to after our lovely meals... spoke to a couple for what seemed like ages over a glass or two of prosecco.Very welcoming couple and the food was excellent.... please give the Poplar Farm in Addlethorpe a try you will not be disappointed.

We traveled from Derbyshire with family to come here for Sunday lunch.absolutely lovely location in on the outside of the old village of adlethorpe just 1 mile to the east coast near Butlins We all had 2 courses including the roasts .excellent food as usual and plentiful the beef melted in the mouth. we were lucky to have lovely weather if a little cold and windy

I booked 8 Ladies for Sunday Lunch, this is the place to go if you enjoy freshly cooked food. We shall return to Poplar Farm such a warm homely feel, with such well prepared food.

Visited for Sunday lunch. Warm welcome, friendly staff. Attractive surroundings. Clean and tidy. The food, however, was disappointing. My soup was bland and tepid, not hot. My Yorkshire pudding was not cooked properly; still raw in parts. My nut roast was tasteless, the mashed potato lumpy and the vegetables uninspiring and not very hot. Coffee at end of meal was nice. Sorry, but I was less than impressed.

Me, my husband & son don’t eat out very often so when we do we like to try & find nice places that are worth our money. The poplar farm sounded & looked so much better on the website to our actual experience. The couple that run the place were absolutely lovely but there food wasn’t. We went there for the Sunday lunch I booked a table at 2.45pm not knowing they shut at 3pm it wasn’t mentioned when I phoned to book. We asked for 2 rib of beef dinners & 1 chicken dinner but what we actually got was very thin fatty slices of microwave beef. At this point I wanted to get up & leave we were given potatoes & vegetables to share & gravy which were ok but the Yorkshire pudding was small & cold. We were all still so hungry after we ate it that we ordered a pudding & my husband & son were given extra either guilt or the fact like the lady said it would only be thrown away, I was offered a coffee that I think they charged me for. Drinks my husband couldn’t fault the beer & our son had a coke whilst I just had water. But the worst part was the bill they charged us, it was not worth the money at all & for a family that don’t have much money & have save to eat out we feel absolutely robbed. Even more so as when we returned to the pub near where we were staying to find they were doing a full carvary for less money & actual roast beef absolutely guttering. We are Sorry for the review you were Nice people but shame about the food & prices it was a lot of money to us & the only thing that was worth any money was your hospitality but that should cost nothing. Hi all,we have just returned from our second stay at poplar farm .My wife and i recently purchased a second-hand 4 berth caravan and we went to see family up in Skegness,lincs as we are based in Surrey. When we first arrived, the first thing we noticed is the amount of space. Even with limited pitches there is still a lot of space for everybody. We booked for 5 nights and then booked another 2 as we were not ready to leave. It was too nice. The owners of the site are Kevin and Debbie and they are the nicest, kindest people. Being very new to caravanning, we needed to know a lot of things. Kevin and Debbie helped us no end. Absolutely brilliant! Both full of information and they made us and our 15 month old boy very welcome indeed. On our second stay ( 4 nights ) we were due to have our son baptised at St. Matthews church in Skegness. Kevin and Debbie did a meal for all of our family and it was delicious! They cater for all occasions but this was their first Christening party. A good time was had by all and we all left with full bellies! lolWe will definitely be returning to Poplar Farm as it really is so chilled out. We were going to leave a review about the restaurant as that is what they advertise for mainly but, the campsite is so good we felt we had to spread the news on what a great site it is. Ideal location for all amenities and we saw a ton of wildlife everyday. Great for all those nature lovers! So, please pay a visit to Poplar Farm and you will not be disappointed. First time visit. Welcome was super and attention all evening could not have been better. Spotlessly clean this restaurant is set in a country lane with lovely select caravan site at the rear. Food was hot and delicious. Gluten free menu was as extensive as the ordinary menu. Cannot believe we did not know this charming restaurant was here. Would I recommend? Absolutely. Will I return? Without doubt. Thank you.

Ate here last night. Due to the weather, they had received a number of cancellations and we were the only diners!

My husband and I came to poplar farm for yet another lovely meal and great hosts. We had our granddaughter with us and we all enjoyed our food and our night out thanks again Debbie and Kevin

This was my husband and mine's second visit and it was amazing when they remembered us from our previous visit last year such great friendly service.

This restaurant ticks all the boxes Fantastic atmosphere great food Reasonable prices and verry attentive staff We had crab starters lamb shank and veg for main plus 2 large red wines ect Bill less than £38

My wife and three daughters all gave top marks. We all had Starters, Roasts, three having desserts. Choice of starters different and delicious. Roasts came with ample meat and plenty of veg in tureens. All in all a great place off the beaten track with plenty of parking, 5 minutes from main road. Will definitely return, warm welcome and nothing too much trouble..

Found this lovely restaurant today by chance whilst out driving. Decided to give it a try for Sunday lunch and that was a really good decision. We received a warm welcome and sat in the cosy bar area whilst choosing our food. We both had a starter of prawn cocktail which were perfect and then lamb and chicken for our mains. Everything was cooked to perfection and the vegetables were just as we like them. Loved the fact that there was not too much gravy as I only like a little but there extra gravy served separately which was great for my husband who likes more. Lovely welcoming staff, excellent food, cosy restaurant, what more could you ask for. We will be back!

Visited poplar farm restaurant tonight as a group of 4 friends and had a fabulous evening. The food was delicious the hosts were exceptionally friendly. We would highly recommend and will definately visit again (if the hosts don’t see us coming and lock the doors) thankyou for a lovely evening

What a lovely evening we had at Poplar Farm. After a rather exhausting week we decided to treat ourselves to an evening meal at Poplar Farm and we were not disappointed, food and service were excellent , generous portions and cooked to perfection. Hosts made us feel very welcome.

As l drive past Poplar Farm every day l thought it was time to try the place out. We were not disappointed in anyway. You get a warm friendly welcome from the owner on arrival, we had drinks while we read the menu in the lovely cosy bar area. We were seated quickly and our starters were brought out. My son had the soup, wife had the garlic mushrooms and l had the crab. All were really nice as l tried both the others starters. We all had the beef as a main, it is a long time since l have had beef so tender. The vegetables come in dishes so you help yourself and were cooked just how l like them. (Not a big fan of veg that has been shown boiling water). The waiting staff were excellent checking to see if everything was OK without being over the top like some places we have been to. All meat and vegetables are from local supplier's and it really showed. In short wonderful setting, great staff and amazing food, not sure why we have left it so long to try. Will definitely be coming back.

Very friendly Kevin & Debbie are lovely people this is a family run business & they all make you very welcome meals are excellent & the chef can certainly cook a steak to perfection would recommend this place to anyone always have a lovely time when we visit

What a wonderful place. Just got back from a super meal on my birthday. It might be a bit out of the way but it is SOO worth it. The staff are great, the food is scrumptious, it is clean and tidy and the fifties/sixties music was splendid. We loved it and will be back.

We stayed for one week and enjoyed our visit to a well run touring site with our caravan. The staff were first class with a warm welcome from them all and with an offer of help setting up. Grounds and pitches were exceptionally well cared for, clean and tidy. The on site restaurant was a pleasant addition to our stay, making reservations for four evening meals, Wednesday through Saturday and Sunday Lunch. Excellent food, well prepared and presented at a very reasonable cost. Great Job everyone involved with helping us make such an enjoyable break, we will return.

From the moment we walked into Popular Farm restaurant we were made to feel very welcome. We were shown to the small 'snug' where we ordered a drink and were given the menu to make our choice. When our starter was ready we were shown into the modern and tastefully decorated restaurant. Our meal was excellent both on presentation and taste. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Popular Farm and would recommend it.

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish went for my mum's birthday today the owners are lovely really make you welcome they put a banner up decorated the table lovely my mum shed a tear when she saw it the waitress is lovely too the food is excellent lovely choice of starters mains and deserts my mum said she won't forget today has she is 82 today recommend it definitely going again next year it's a lovely restaurant from Dianne Stevens from Derbyshire

We Sunday lunch too much to be fair and. Often wish we had cooked our own as it always better, however when we venture out to try new places it's very rare we eat anything other than just a main course

Visited here today for probably what was one of the best sunday roasts ive had in years.

This restaurant is well worth a trip or two. A beautiful building, nicely decorated with great hosts. We all ordered different starters and mains and they were all delicious. Good choices for vegetarians as well as meat eaters if you're visiting Skegness this place is not to be missed.

We have now visited a few times and not been disappointed yet. We went on a Friday night, they now have a new menu. More options and individually, reasonably, priced. The owners are always very welcoming, the food is alway cooked and presented lovely.

Our party was welcomed very warmly by our hosts, Kevin and Debbie. We were taken through to the bar area, where our drinks were catered for. As we all enjoyed our drinks, we were able to choose our meal from the menu. We were then shown to our table, in the conservatory, which had been decorated beautifully by the owners, just for my birthday celebration. A lovely touch, which I adored.

My mum asked me to write a excellent review, she had a lovely time here, loved everything. The owner was especially kind and helpful. 10/10

My wife and I booked an early table at Poplar Farm. We were drawn there by the good reviews on Tripadvisor and looked forward to something special.

Just had a lovely time camping here with family. The owners are very warm and welcoming. The site is spotlessly clean and tidy. The food is beautiful and the location is brilliant ( short drive to Skegness) we've enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

Passed by on the off chance to try out our tourer and the welcome was incredible! Kev and Debbie really know how to look after their guests! We had our wedding reception on 29th April 2016 at poplar farm the friendly family atmosphere made us feel so special nothing was too much trouble. We had guests ranging from a baby to a 92 year old and everyone was catered for. The food was excellent and we had such a wonderful day it was amazing. So thankyou to Debbie, Kevin,mum and dad for such a super day you made us feel so welcome and relaxed and all our guests too.

From the beginning of our stay Kev Debbie and the rest of the family could not have been more helpful. Always cheerful and made our first trip out a delight. We ate in the restaurant and the food was first class. We would recommend this site to anyone and we will make a return visit

Just have to say a big thank you to Poplar Farm for making us all feel very welcome and providing such a great meal. Visited this restaurant for a Sunday lunch, it was just like having a roast dinner at home without the dishes. Great choice of meats and plenty of vegetables served in dishes to your table to help yourselves. Service was with a smile and all the staff were very helpful and nothing seemed to much trouble. We have all said we will be visiting again if you will have us and we will also be checking out the evening menu during the week.

Me and my family went to this Restaurant over the weekend. We were greeted straight away by the owner, who showed us in to the cosy bar. We had a drink and relaxed before going to our table when the food was ready. You can tell the food is freshly made and not microwaved or out of a packet. The presentation of the food was amazing, not just slopped on the plate. The steaks, were cooked to perfection and so moist. The lamb shank is the best I've ever had, just fell off the bone. The service was spot on, and we were made to feel very welcome by all. They are very tentative and nothing is to much trouble.

We have literally just got home from visiting this brilliant place, and just had to review it!! As my partner is a big foodie I tried to find a special place for him to have a lovely meal. In Skegness, this can be difficult!! I stumbled upon this restaurant and I was wowed by the menu online, and I am so glad we booked! The meals were the highest of quality, cooked to perfection and the service was on point! All team we were approached by were professional, but so friendly and really got to know you as a guest. I cannot fault the chefs, they cooked his steak exactly to how he liked it, (which is difficult too!) I cannot reccomend this establishment enough, very exited to visit again! The value for money and the overall experience is second to none! Very happy customers! Thankyou again!

Our third visit to this restaurant was for Christmas Day dinner. Excellent in all respects .Super attentive and considerate service. Great food which was well presented and served. All round a very pleasant experience, we will certainly be going again.

The food was amazing the lamb I had was to die for! The dessert (Eton mess) was gorgeous as well couldn't fault a single thing.

This Bistro is set in a tastefully renovated Farm Yard Building. There was a great choice of food. All served by friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit.

The best Lamb I have every had - lovely place - very good hosts - this was a return vist for us and it was just as good as last time. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting good food and a warm welcome. They also have a touring park at the back of the building. Its a small menu but the food is all very well cooked and presented. You get a lovely meal plus a complementary soup course.

Went to Poplars for dinner for a family reunion, were made very welcome and had pre-dinner drinks in the bar (beautifully refurbished) our table was in the conservatory, lovely and light, immaculately clean, all food very professionally presented by very polite friendly staff, steak, lamb and chicken all wonderful and all plates cleaned, very resonably priced and well worth a visit - thanks to all for a great evening - Lorraine and Andy, Sidmouth, Devon

Visited today having been before some years ago to find it under new ownership. The couple may be new to running a restaurant but they are keeping up with the high standards and my wife and I had a very good lunch. Warm friendly welcome upon arriving attentive service and we cooked food. Well worth a visit, we will certainly be returning.

This is a really lovely place to eat. Set in beautiful grounds this family run restaurant really gives a good dining experience. The people running the restaurant took over from previous owner who retired a year ago.

First time at Poplar Farm and it was fantastic. Food was excellent and couldn't fault the service they made you feel very welcome and didn't rush you. Great value for money. We will be going again before we go home.
