Popadom Express in Rotherham

Where can I start, used to be our go too Indian, now we’ve moved away we rarely get a chance to have it… I’m guessing the owners have changed more than once, nothing was like it was before.. special biryani was good, du piaza was good… the bread was the thinnest and worst we’ve ever had, ‘garlic chilli naan’ but I’m guessing they forgot the chilli because it was just raw cut up chilli’s on the bread (thin and dry).. missed our pilau rice (too far to drive back) the mint sauce was just diluted to the fullest! Best part was I have to order again if I was my £3 back for my rice aha… sorry guys never again for me! Biryani was good though not going to lie!

Just ordered onion bhaji, chicken curry, plain nan & keema rice takeaway. Absolutely delicious, restaurant quality food, great service (20 mins order time), well deserved 5 star rating!

Had to collect as wasn’t delivered in the time slot. Ignoring all phone calls for over an hour. Collected food and stone cold.

Normally order from here and it's normally lovely, ordered 2 curries last night and they were completely wrong. Ordered a Macon chicken, tasted nothing like when i normally order, it was a different colour with different ingredients. Ordered the mild tikka masala, wich does not include a boiled egg, received the spicy one with a whole egg. Chips were overcooked and hard.

I ordered the hunger buster. It was full of delicious lamb and chicken tikka, with plenty of doner too. Nice little bonus having an onion banjo too!

Despite reading some of the review we have had many meals from here and never had a problem. Always been great food and service. Most recent order was 2 days ago, 4 different curries, all tasted great and arrived piping hot.

After my 12 hour shift of Christmas Day, my food was the perfect way to end my day. Food perfect as always !!

I ordered from this place as my locals was closed first time going to this place ordered two kebabs I come from dinnington and I wasn't disappointed the food was fantastic

Ordered a set meal for 2 with extra chips and a pickle tray at 7.30pm. We were told it would be up to 1.5 hours as they were busy. At 9.15pm I rang to chase our order and was told it was ready and they were waiting for a driver! Our order finally arrived at 10.10pm and there were no chips and the food was cold!! Will not be ordering from here again !!!

The chicken was hard and chewy and the sauce has no flavour whatsoever. The only thing we seemed to enjoy was the garlic bread!

Super food. All of it was super hot and perfectly cooked. Very tasty.

An absolute joke of a takeaway, over 1 hour and 35 mins to deliver A kebab, Bombay Potatoes and a portion of rice, and when it did arrive it is missing all of the salad and sauces and, the final nail in the coffin is the whole order is absolutely stone cold !!! £25 wasted money !!! And don't even bother to ring and try to complain because all you get is we are very busy !!!! Oh and tinned potatoes in the Bombay potatoes absolute crap food

Lovely curry and I was fine that it was late, but not that my rice wasn't delivered, either.

kebab was a bit greasy in the hunger buster, not the only place but food prices go up and portion sizes go down

Tandoori chicken dry as a bone and no flavour and hardly any meat on it. Curry sauce no flavour and very watery. Meat dupiaza no flavour. Even poppadoms had no flavour what so ever First time using as just moved to the area and won’t be using again very disappointed

Ordered from here for years, never again after tonight’s, no yoghurt dips no onion salad, curry’s swimming in grease, chips cold, naan bread rock solid, actually the worst curry we have ever had.

Had food from Popadom express for years but tonight was definitely not up to the usual standard what's happened it feels like it's been somewhere else, just disappointed.

First time I have ordered from here and I will do again. A couple of points to note, the popadoms were placed at the side of the hot food so they were soft on arrival. Secondly the chicken tikka in the mixed kebab was over cooked, so was dry and inedible

do not buy a Pickle tray for £2.50 all you get is a onion salad pot (60p) a lime Pickle pot(60p),and a mango chutney (60p)=£1.80 rip off cheaper to buy the 3 pots individually, after speaking to the shop when I asked why they keep short changing me.with these pots they just say we give you extra next time but never does,other than that the food was quite good

Had a meal 2 times recently, and honestly this has been the best curry I’ve had in a long time!!

Food was cold and under cooked. Missing items and salad with the mixed kebab and onion Bhaji was swimming in water. Utterly disgusting!

We have just ordered, chicken and lamb tikka starters, onion bhaji starters, pickle tray, meat rogan Josh and chicken bhuna. This is the third time we’ve ordered over the last 4 months and the food has been amazing! Once again not disappointed, the amount of meat in the curries was brilliant, had to send a review in as we are really really happy with this place.

Had a chicken tikka as a main course! It was not cooked in a tandoori oven It was pre-cooked also, and warmed up in a pan Therefore, it was pre-cooked food, and almost forgot to mention to mention too much red dye… not nice at all and very amateurish…

I ordered chicken purée and received prawns 🤢 my worst nightmare after waiting 2 hours so dissapointed as previous orders were spot on but never again I’m allergic to prawns

Absolutely the worst Indian take away I have ever had. The supermarket ones are far superior. Tasteless korma, tough pishwari naan and tough chicken. The 1 good thing was that it was hot. Absolutely never again and what a waste of £9

Never again. Recently ordered from here and oh my word what a dump. The first takeaway in ages I had to leave and bin. If you want a decent takeaway, go to spice rack, never use this. The food tasted like rotten dog food and they even had eggs in here which tasted like used rubbers. If I could give a 0 I would. Please don't use this place, what a waste of money.

I ordered last week a murgh massalam which was delicious,ordered it tonight,i got a korma,phoned up,and was told the chef had family issues?? That is good and well but no apology or anything else offered? The chicken was dry not what i expected.Probably wont be ordering again,disappointing.£14.60.

Really enjoyed the tikka korma, not ordered from here for years because i went off the place but tried it again after hearing they do gluten free meals, was well impressed i will be ordering from here again.

Ordered chicken korma rice and garlic Nan This is first time we have ordered from this take away Sorry to say was disappointed as there was NO TASTE to the korma the other meals may be better but the korma needs to be avoided

Worsed Indian I’ve ever eaten first time in my life I’ve brushed my teeth straight after a meal, tikka masala no taste what so ever swimming in saturated fat. Felt off afterwards. A stark contrast from last weekend had the number 1 Indian in Bridlington it was called Masala.

Chicken karma was absolutely awful. We have never had such a bland karma. We will not use this place again.

My hubby ordered from here tonight and never again . Food terrible chicken korma bland chicken tasted off . Prawn biryani 4 prawns not edible as overcooked and rubbery rice tasted like boiled rice curry sauce like water with a handful of veg floating in it and had a strange after taste. My hubby had a bhuna again like water hardly any meat and with a strange after taste. £31 in the bin as not edible I've grown up with Asian food and this is certainly like nothing I've ever tasted . Avoid

1st time ordering tonight as found them on the app foodhub. Great food and came very hot even though im in Kiveton park. (136). Great prices aswell will definitely be returning and wish i had tipped the delivery driver now, he was very polite.

Absolutely awful chicken pakoras dry and rubbery, currys just grease and the nan breads were just tortilla wraps with garlic on. Wont be ordering from here again

I have been ordering take away from Popadom Express for many years now and have NEVER been disappointed with either the food or the service. Food arrives quickly and it's hot and it's delicious!! I won't order from anywhere else.

Rice & chips good but Korma fare too creamy & lacked flavour. Naan bread not garlicy enough. Wouldn't order again.

We order from here regular and always have a great meal - we usually go for delivery and are also on time we ask for. Only thing is just recently they put minimum delivery up to £10. Would recommend

It's an ok Indian takeaway (no sit-in), with a reasonable menu, reasonable prices, and reasonable quality. Staff are always good.

Not bad but basic and slightly grubby waiting area along with curries that are FAR too oily let it down. I want a nice spicy chicken dinner, not die of heart attack!
