Excellent family experience and reasonably priced. Well done the Plough Team.

Had Easter Sunday lunch. Disappointed with quality of the roast dinner. Only one other couple eating(wonder why!),. Waitress seemed unaware that we needed cutlery to eat our food. Music was entirely unsuitable for a nice eating atmosphere. However bar staff and drinks were great.

Only called in for beer. It was very well kept . Great to see Ed the barman who has moved here from the Beck. He's a great bloke who knows his cellar work and is very, very Customer focused. A lovely log fire and other staff were friendly too. Didn't have any food so can't comment on it, but if the food is as good as the beer then you won't be disappointed.

A nice local pub with cosy atmosphere and a real fire. Service was knowledgable attentive. Food good quality and delicious. Will be back

My daughter and I called in here with my elderly disabled mum after a visit to Newark hospital around 4.30pm. What a lovely, friendly landlady. Nothing was too much trouble to accommodate my mum, even doing her a certain sandwich that they finished serving at 3pm. It restores my faith in humanity. This lady deserves all the custom she gets and more. We wish her all the very best and will definitely return. The food was great too and would highly recommend 👌

Service a little slow but drinks were OK

Visited this pub with some family last week. The food was absolutely wonderful. The staff were friendly and it had a great atmosphere. Will definitely be visiting again. Good prices too!

So today we Thought we try somewhere new For our usual Sunday lunch. And we are so pleased we did. We had a lovely warm welcome. And the food is divine. Service was 2nd to none we are definitely going back.

New landlords doing just fine. Previous landlords an hard act to follow.

Nice relaxed atmosphere very welcoming great food

Today we visited the Plough Inn at Caunton near Newark. We were a party of 2 children and 5 adults. We were immediately welcomed and asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside. As it was such a lovely day we plumped for outside and the landlady duly brought an umbrella for the table which we were really grateful for. We ordered our meals and all thoroughly enjoyed them. Everything was hot and presented well on the plates. Not expensive either. We shall be returning most definitely.

Brilliant pub with a warm cosy atmosphere, great patrons and even better people running it. When the Sunday lunch is on, it is a must have, lots of amazing food.

A lovely looking pub with a decent on-line car park. Lovely outdoor space. They did make a mistake. They brought out the wrong meal. But they quickly reckatified it. Same with cold potatoes on the new meal. Very fast and apologetic for it. They even had a laugh. About coffee and doom. All the staff were great and the meal were absolutely delicious. We will be coming again and highly recommend it. ~The family who dropped their sugar packet in their coffee, twice.
