Great little pub, with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere

Great pub and prices of drink are very cheap. Locals really friendly, and a good old fashioned pub. Went a few times whilst staying next door at the C&C club certified site. Only thing I would suggest is to list opening times in window and there is no hanging sign or stand up blackboard outside to indicate it’s an open pub and it could be missing out on passing trade if you didn’t know it was there. Nice cut lawn beer garden also out the back. Really enjoyed our few nights in it, and can’t believe how cheap it was.

Great old fashioned pub staff very friendly and welcoming. No food. Rear beer garden a gathering place for friendly dogs. We camped 50 yards away in a small wooded campsite with bus stop to Beamish Museum on the doorstep and a large Carboot on a Sunday . Perfect 👌

This is a relatively new restaurant offering what I would describe as modern British fine dining. There is a Sunday lunch menu, ten course tasting menu or four course menu. - See the website for menu details. The kitchen is open at the back of the restaurant so you can see the food being prepared. We chose th four course menu. The food was well presented and was prepared to a very high standard, as was the service. You can opt for different glasses of wine with each course on all of the menus, but there is also a wine list available. Highly recommend.

A lovely village pub. Offers a range of beers and occasionally food. Opening hours are not standard, so worth checking before you go.
