Tapas style food was very good and the service was excellent. It gets very noisy when it is busy so you have to almost shout to hold a conversation (or maybe we just had a lot of noisy people dining when we were there)

Went to the restaurant this week on a trip to Sussex after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor. The food is absolutely excellent. It is tasty , plentiful and authentic.Great choice of dishes and incredible value for money.Would go as far to say it’s the best tapas I have had in this country. The owners are friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this restaurant and will certainly be rebooking in the future.

Had a delicious tapas with beer and wine...eaten here a few times now and we have always been welcomed by really friendly staff and the food is always a very high standard

During these uncertain times it’s been wonderful to be able to get our tapas fix! Always delicious, just as good as in the restaurant but without the friendly banter between Joe and Lucy! We can’t wait to visit as soon as we are able.

How didn’t we know this place was hiding here, no more trekking to Brighton for our tapas fix! Can’t fault the food or service or even the cost. She who must be obeyed has graded it five stars!

First time visit to this restaurant and we will definitely be going back! Great food with a great atmosphere. Staff all very friendly. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place.

THe lunchtime deal is too good to miss, the food is great and the service is excellent. We were a table of 6 and the place was buzzing but we were served quickly and efficiently with no hold ups or complications. The staff were super fiendly and very helpful, we will return for sure.

really lovely food and even tried the octapus which was lovely and great to have small dishes to try it is a relaxed atmosphere you don't feel rushed and the food is well presented and cooked with lovely flavours and you can walk in and not have to book and love that the owners have the time to chat and a laugh **********************************

The range of beautifully cooked and presented tapas must be tasted. In particular the unsalted anchovies, the chorizo tapas and indeed everything, specials and regular menu, are wonderful

Visited today 16th Jan for my daughter's birthday. Chose the restaurant partly because of the good reviews. Pleased to say they aren't wrong. Freshly cooked tasty food, not expensive (2 dishes each suffices), friendly staff,house rioja very good, great atmosphere - not fussy at all. A definite find. Highly recommended. Will return in the not too distant future

We visited on Christmas Eve. The food is always fabulous - it doesn’t come out all at once but in a way that adds to the occasion. We all share what arrives as it arrives. Loads of food and great variety

We felt totally welcomed and relaxed in this lovwly, cozy restaurant. The service is second to none. The owner (we think) made our evening so lovely - he chatted to us on a personable level as well as giving us space to eat. The timings of bring out dishes and drinks was perfect. The food that we had was super delicious and the portions are very generous for tapas. The croquettes were incredible.. as was the deep fried brie, chorizo in cider, calamari, garlic prawns.. lemon sorbet and honey comb cheesecake!! We will certainly be back without a doubt and I will be recommending this place to everyone. Thank you for a perfect, chilled evening and exactly what we wanted from a anniversary dinner.

We tried this Tapas restaurant on Saturday and we were so glad we did! They have a very varied menu so its easy to find dishes you like. Every dish we had was absolutely delicious and served by friendly staff. We definitely intend to make a return visit and would thoroughly recommend this little gem of a restaurant!!

A hungry group of 8 having some great Tapas , Calamari, Garlic Prawns, Albondigas, Spanish Salad, Jammon with Melon Garlic Mushrooms, Lamb Chops just a few of the great dishes we had Great Service and great wine my only critique is service is included not a choice

We went here after reading reviews, it did not disappoint. The staff are so friendly, the food is tapas, absolutely lovely. Its not the cheapest restaurant in Burgess Hill but definitely worth it. I would recommend taking your partner or going with friends and family, really lovely. I will be going again!

booked a table for my boyfriends birthday after being recommended by different friends and tripadvisor and so pleased i did you are made to feel very welcome the staff are friendly and helpfull we had the meatballs and calamari and prawns and pork with potatoes all were very nice the bread with the olive oil and balsamic vinegar starter was really nice and fresh especially the brown bread my boyfriend always goes for white but even he liked this they also offer take away so will try this people were coming in not having booked and were seated no problem i thought the meal was great value for money overall very pleased

I was totally taken back by the ambience, tag-team service and incredible food. This place is a hidden gem. We popped in for an impromptu lunch, there were 9 of us, we were asked to wait a few minutes then were seated. In seconds we were put at ease by the owner/manager whose humour is a quick as the service.

Fantastic tapas lunch. You feel like you've escaped and gone to a taverna. Looking forward to going back one evening. Super service

Been here many times. The tapas on offer are stunning. A variety of different styles and flavours. A family run place who care for their customers. It's always busy at weekends so best book. The food is not too expensive either. We have had parties of 16 down to a meal for 2 here and everyone enjoys food here.

All the food was delicious and the family that run the place couldn't have been friendlier. Really lovely night out and all great value as well.

My family have been before but it was my first time and I was very impressed! It's the perfect family run restaurant. They were so welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. I felt they really cared and I felt very at home! The food was fantastic we definitely ordered too much! My advice is order only a few to start and then more later! Very authentic too as I lived in Spain for 4 years and the wonderful couple that run it are Spanish too!

If Heineken did big birthday bashes for your 29th, they'd probably involve Plaza Uno. I made a reservation for maddanzak +5, the booking process was so easy. I googled the number then got siri to call it, they had availability at my designated time, perfect.

We (3 couples) had tapas and shared many dishes which were very well presented and full of flavour. Lucy and Joe are a lovely couple who are very welcoming.

I've been here a couple times before and am pleased to say the food and service is very good. Nice atmosphere and authentic no-frills Spanish tapas. Next time will probably be an evening as I've only visited at lunchtimes so far. Definitely recommended

Burgess Hill has more than its fair share of fast food outlets and Asian restaurants. Plaza Uno is an excellent alternative, serving tasty Spanish tapas in a friendly atmosphere.

MLW and I went to Burgess Hill because Corinthian-Casuals were playing there. We used Trip Advisor to find a place to eat and Plaza UNO was number one. I doubt we’d have ventured in were it not for the recommendation but we were so glad we did. Great Tapas food, charming and warm service and clearly a real love for what they do. We had six dishes (too many but all delicious) and left knowing if we’re ever near there we’ll go again. Add to that ‘cuddling condiments’ and if Corinthians hadn’t been cheated out of a win it would have been the perfect afternoon.

Just home from yet a lovely meal at Plaza Uno. Tonight we were celebrating my daughters 17th birthday. The restaurant was buzzing with atmosphere, we had a range of dishes which were all delicious and we finished with çhurros. The two owners were great hosts and took the time to chat to us. The two young waitresses were lovely and helpful. I'd highly recommend this restaurant.

From the outside you'd never guess what a gem this place is but in summary it's fantastic. Staff are lovely helpful people, the food authentically prepared and presented, not to mention delicious, and the prices are awesomely reasonable. I for one will definitely be back. What a find!

Found this little gem in Burgess Hill. From the outside it doesn’t look great but once you are inside you are transported to a lovely Spanish tapas restaurant.

Wow what a great place. Food was absolutely delicious, good portion sizes and washed down with 2, jugs of sangria between 4 of us.

WELL this has got to be the best place to eat in Burgess hill town. We have had birthday meals , friends meals and Christmas eve meals here and every time it is very good . ENJOY with family or friends a great restuarant

Great tapas that are novel and great value. This truly family restaurant provides excellent, authentic Spanish food. So friendly it is like you are part of the family, who just happens to have a good cook.

We went there with friends on a Friday night and had a great time. Excellent food, good choice of wines and a nice friendly/lively atmosphere. It’s a real family run place and we were made to feel right at home.

This is one of my local favourite restaurants, the management always try to make your visit special, the staff are always friendly and the food is excellent. We always go early, if you are going later it's worth booking as the fill quickly.

Lucky for us this lovely place is just round the corner from me. The food is amazing and fresh. Everything on the menu is so good I have possible eaten everything on the menu. I can not say enough about how nice and friendly and welcoming. Everyone is treated like good friends and not just someone who walked in the door. Come and see you won’t be disappointed

Was looking forward to having a meal with my Wife & two friends on Saturday 27th Oct.

First time here and glad that we booked as it was rammed on a Friday night. Food was quick though and couldn't fault it!! Reccomend the baby squid and chorizo in cider

What a brilliant night and a fantastic find. The restaurant was full and lively. Brilliant menu and one of our party was a vegetarian. Food hot and tasty. Big portions. Wonderful staff. Highly recommend. Am going to book for New Years Eve!!

Have now visited 3 times - twice for lunch and most recently for dinner. The lovely lady who runs it is extremely welcoming and can answer any questions about the dishes. Over the 3 visits I have tried many of the tapas selection and cannot fault any of them. They are all extremely tasty and all freshly cooked. There is also a delightful mix of spanish style music playing which is not intrusive but which adds to the atmosphere - as it was quiet on Wednesday evening (World Cup was on) we even took the opportunity for a little dancing to the music after dinner.

Food and ambience was lovely. Every dish was full of flavour, we tried lots of different things and the owners were very accommodating.

The welcome here was as warm as the evening and we had a wonderful meal. We ordered 2 tapa each and shared them. Between the 5 of us had a delicious selection and plenty to eat. We especially loved the homemade croquettes, the tortilla, the codfish, courgettes and stuffed mushrooms. A very reasonable bill for the quality and flavours of the food. The owners are lovely. Go if you have the chance, it is a Burgess Hill highlight!

We decided to go as we had all had a long hard days work. We have been before and it was good . This time it was even better , what can i say . always very friendly and welcomin service and food is the best Tapas in sussex . All so very nice .

This is an excellent venue for this type of event. Full restaurant, lively atmosphere very friendly staff. Plenty of food on the dishes and lots of dishes. Although I enjoyed all of the plates, I felt that they had been slightly anglesized, not quite as Spanish as I am used to.

Been here on numerous occasions and it never fails to impress. Both food and service excellent, can’t praise it highly enough.

The best place I have been for a while I am a fussy eater and they happily did me chicken nuggets and chips. The other food was nice as I did try a little bit of would go there again and recommend to others.

Came here with a group of friends for lunch. Advised by the owner to have 2 plates each , this was Just right. Lots of choice on the menu. Couldn’t believe the bill , in fact we questioned it as we thought they had undercharged us. Turns out they have a lunch time deal, we ended up paying a little over £10 per head this included a genorous tip. The owner is very pleasant. This is a lovely restaurant serving very good tapas for a very fair price.

I have had Tapas at lots of restaurants in the UK, and mostly its been a bit disappointing compared to what I’ve had in Spain. This however, was fab. Very enjoyable meal, friendly staff and the food was really very good. Pleased to have it on my doorstep and look forward to returning very soon!

Went with my wife for the first time on a Wednesday evening after hearing several good reviews from friends, We were not disappointed, Friendly staff willing to chat. Portions are generous as we found to our cost, no room for dessert. In fact they gave us a doggy bag for some of the leftover mains! Will certainly be going back.

We when to this Lovely family run restaurant on a Saturday night and in January, it was the best Spanish food i may have ever had. All the dishes were amazing flavour, fresh and hot.

Party of four, arrived to a full restaurant, shared 12 tapas, including 3 from the specials board, lamb chops were sublime, all dishes in fact were great, staff friendly, this restaurant deserves to do well.

Terrific Spanish restaurant with authentic Tapas and other food. Staff will gladly recommend the number of Tapas portions required and a good mix. As a group of 6, we enjoyed King Prawns, Whitebait, Calamares, Chorizo, Chicken, Pork and other dishes. Excellent dessert choices too. Very good food and reasonable price. Pleasant decor and friendly staff. You won't regret eating here. Highly recommended.

I don't know why I have never been to the restaurant before having walked straight past it for many years. Warm and friendly welcome from the staff. Good selection of tapas on the main menu with extras on special board. Staff were able to answer questions regarding food intolerance as to what could or couldn't be eaten. Can highly recommend the bean stew, full of flavour. Recommendation was 2 dishes per person this gave us a good selection we couldn't resist and went one over, more than enough food and felt nicely full as we left. Didn't try the puddings but a good selection to choose from. I don't doubt that we will be back. All in food, drinks and tip it was £19.00 a head.

We came back to plaza uno with family, and had a fabulous relaxed evening, the food was delicious, staff so friendly, and not rushed at all, highly recommend. The staff were lovely with my hearing assistant dog too.

My wife and I enjoyed an evening out, for a change and had a tapas meal at Plaza Uno. Our previous experience of a tapas had been with small dishes, but here we were served up with lavish portions each cooked freshly on demand and immediately they were ready. Our earlier experiences caused us to order 7 different dishes (it would have been a modest order anywhere else). Each time the waiting staff and kitchen took pains to advise me whether the dish was compatible with my many food intolerances. Having eaten as much as our stomachs could fit, we departed replete, content, satiated and over weight (not verified). We are more than happy to recommend Plaza Uno for it's warm hospitality and friendly service from this family business and hope to return soon.

We have been here many times. The food is amazing, great value, massive portions. We recommend Plaza Uno to all our friends and family and they all have enjoyed and love it there to. Friendly staff can't do enough for you. Relaxing atmosphere. Went here for Valentine's this year and we were not disappointed. No special expensive set menu which was nice compared to all the other venues we looked at. For us this was the only choice really. Lovely little touches on the night. Rose, chocolates and massive bottle champagne to take away. We love this place. Must try the potato chroquett and chorizo in cider. 5* staff and food.
